Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Dahlia shrugged with a nod to his comment about Yuichi. She noticed his staring but avoided eye contact for a moment before she noticed his voice and look in his eyes… She looked ot the girl then. She must have reminded him of someone he lost… someone he loved. She knew the look. How could she not? She felt a pinch in her head for a moment making her twitch it a little. She then noticed her hand. It had been moving to him to comfort him. Hearing him mutter she pulled her hand away frowning her brows a bit.

She didn’t even register wha he had said, but she… she needed to focus.  She looked away just after catching a glimpse of his arm before making her way to her position though paused for a moment when he said she was right. Everyone usually put her down for her assumptions or  ideas. They would tell her she was just some dumb kid… everyone but Tengoku… that and Yuichi sorta… he had been listening to Yasu. Yasu was usually right. Her pupils slimmed a bit at the mention of any village the city might fall on. She had only been thinking about those in the city before. This was way more dangerous than she had thought. She then shook her head,

“I doubt it needs power. The power supply should already be there if it wasn’t we wouldn't be afloat still. They may just end up breaking the device itself which is why the city is messing up… Possibly. Either way, if we can hold them back long enough…” She paused thinking “Maybe we could crash this thing into the ocean, like you said if we redirect it we could save more lives. Crashing or not.”

She offered up an idea. She could hear the roars and nodded to agree to sticking around for now. She moved into position then. After she helped Takara she noticed the man and how he moved the sand disk. Using a method like that to direct an attack could help with aiming… she’d have to look into that in the future. She blinked, noticing the shadow. She looked up then to see the beast. She could feel her heart rate increase as she followed with her eyes to see its eye fixated on something.

“That lady from before….” Dahlia said softly as Yasu appeared in her mind beside her, staring up at her.

‘Think she’s controlling that?’ Yasu questioned her voice in her imagination but now coming from Yasu directly.

“Possibly… it could be lored to her… Can’t tell from here.” She said simply as Dove appeared in her mind standing on a rooftop.

‘Whatever it is, it's gonna bring this whole thing down if the machines don’t fail!’ Dove hollered down her voice acting like Yasu’s as she looked down to meet Dahlia’s eyes. ‘We’ve seen the world crumble down before… Why not have some fun this time?’

‘Dove now is not the time to propose such things! We need to focus on the people relying on her!’ Yasu shouted back at Dove who appeared in front of Yasu then getting up in her face with a devious grin.

‘Everyone’s always relying on her! Who does she rely on? Herself.’ She tilted her head to one side. ‘Her family, random strangers, this city… yeah it needs all of them but she's just a kid. Funny how that works. 14 years old is too young to become a chunin, to beagle to leave anywhere outside of the city alone… to be treated like anything more than a child… but shes still expected to keep her entire family afloat, be the perfect ninja everyone wishes she was instead of who she is naturally… and to help save an entire fuckin city with total stangers.’

The two held eye contact for a long while as Dove twirled, dancing around to put an arm around Dahlia as the beast roared out.  Dahlia shifted to brace for the wind that slid her back a few feet all the while Dove then leaned in whispering in Dahlia’s ear.

‘I don’t think it’s fair to be expected to be perfect with that sort of treatment. I think if we're going to likely die here trying to save a drowning city we should be able to be exactly who we want to be.’ Dove started to giggle then.

‘We have a responsibility! Fair or not! Child or not! We have to be what is expected of us even if it kills us!’ Yasu shouted at her.

The two arguing as Dahlia’s mind fought between itself trying to beg for release at the same time of trying to fight for control. Dahlia clutched her head as tears rolled down her face all the while her mind broke further under the stress that only seemed to add onto itself by the second.

“I can’t think like this!” She screamed out, making the two vanish.

She hadn’t even noticed Seigei shouting about what the thing was even doing. She though heard the last part of what he said. It even made her laugh a bit as she smiled looking forward towards the way more beasts would be coming no doubt soon enough.

“We protect them, and then die ourselves in the process.” She smiled a wide and almost wild grin. “But it's okay. After all…. It doesn't matter who we leave broken and alone when we die right?”

She tilted her head to one side like Dove had a bit ago, widening her eyes.

“So long as we bite back the fear and fight on it doesn’t matter. We should focus on sacrificing ourselves for this and totally not potentially lessen the lives lost later.” she pouted a bit “To die in a corner as beasts come to feed on us.”

    She then smirked.

“A lovely plan.” She said, shaking her head. “Would mother come home if she knew her monster of a daughter was gone…? I wonder…”

She said the last part to herself as she stared onwards. Her mind cycles through moments with her mother, when they had laid in the stars with her father when she was young, when she had carried her home from late night work, when she had suggested unknowingly that she invented Yasu…. She screamed at her when she begged her to stay with them. When she never said goodbye the last few times, and the books she had written explaining how she had feared her for almost over 9 years….

How much of it had been an act the whole time…?

Her focus shifted to Takara as she explained how others would be taking that thing down and not them. She said how they had to stay here. She said they would flee nor die… the last part was a pretty lie. She took out the last bits from her side before confronting the man from before. While she dealt with him Dahlia walked up to the beasts as many people raced by towards the exit. She kneeled down by one of the bodies tilting her head to one side.

‘Pretty cool right?’ Dove asked, squatting next to her.

‘Dahlia focus…. You need to focus.’ Yasu’s voice requested from her mind, but didn’t appear.

“What are they…” Dahlia wondered out loud before pulling out her tanto and cut into it cutting out one of their eyes with a bit of extra flesh around it to not damage the eye it was a bit crudely done given the tantos size, but she knew how to work her blade well enough to do it the way she had.

She looked at the black blood on her hands silently before standing up. She wondered what could have made the blood black. A lack of oxygen? She sheathed her Tanto after wiping its blade on the side of her pants and held up the eye in front of her own without touching it to her own body. Genetic alteration? She closed her opposite side looking up towards where Yuichi would be still holding the eye there as she tilted her head to one side.

She didn’t know enough about Medical studies to say but it still made her curious. What did it do differently for the body those beasts had if they didn't need the blood to carry the oxygen around. She lowered the eye and her own from where Yuichi was to normal level, turning the eye to face her again. With all the black blood all over it it almost made it look like a totally black eye with nothing but pupils. The image of it on  random animals made her smile a bit.

“Cute.” Dahlia could have sworn Yasu was trying to say something but she couldn’t seem to hear her voice right now.

She put the eye in her pocket without thinking much more about it. Yuichi then hollered back that twenty more were coming in a few seconds.

“Good!” She called back, performing several hand seals as she focused her chakra.

She fueled the bonfire inside herself just right as she performed them all. She contemplated raising its strength further but she didn’t need that sort of fire power to destroy these things. A B rank flame would be just enough. She finished the hand seals ending then with closing her dominant hand into a fist. A refined flame blade of 2 ft in length firing off from her hand looking as though she was holding a flame sword. She had wanted to show this off first to Tengoku to show him how far she had come with her chakra control, but she supposed if they were to die here it didn’t quiet matter anymore.

The first of them raced over the wall of beasts just a few feet away from her as her pupils turned further slim. She widened one eye as she grinned wildly. She wasn’t as fast as the others. She however didn’t need that level of speed for what she was going to do against beasts like this. She just needed her coordination. Something Tengoku had been working so hard on for her to perfect. She saw one coming right at her and she ducked under it easily due to her small size. As she did she slashed through its underbelly easily with the hot flame blade that cut it almost as if it was butter.

She moved forward as the next one landed in front of her. She did a front flip onto its shoulders stabbing into its head with the blade before leaping right off it towards one that was making its way off of the large pile. She met it in mid air slashing its limbs that it had been aiming at her. As she collided with her she twisted her body to rotate to be above it, and to have her two feet firmly planted on its stomach just as she slashed again at it’s throat. Her grin grew into a wide and wicked smile as they landed. She kicked off with her feet into a roll that she moved from up onto her feet.

She then spun as two more came at her making each swing a death blow. 5 down… One tackled her down, leading her to giggle wildly. Just before it could fully strike her she stabbed it under its jaw right into its brain. Her pupils nearly shook in excitement as she shoved its body off her using her free hand and feet. She did her share of the twenty. She got back up to her feet and still clenched with the flame blazing off it slightly burning the ground as she got up. She looked over catching Dove dancing about the carnage smiling and laughing.

She shook her head while laughing looking towards the rest of the beasts making sure to move out of the way of any coming out of her with narrow misses. Her smile never left her face, and her stance almost looked relaxed and loose despite the flame that came from her hand. She knew why her father had smiled at the end before he was murdered. He was having fun, and reveling in the thrill of the battle.

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Kōshin Tue Nov 23, 2021 12:09 pm

They had each respectively defended their position from the next wave, working together as a unit to help defend the area from the hellish invaders. During a quick rest, a voice would call out to him, demanding to know what he meant by "Makita". The request had taken him off guard, Seigi almost certain that he had only been thinking it, but must have been so in shock that he said it out loud. They also wanted to know his name, which was something he was considering withholding, but saw no good reason for it.

"My name is Seigi Chinoike." He would say, pushing his sand cloak off of his shoulders, sending it into the ground. Deep beneath them, the sand would begin churning, eroding rock and dirt, creating more sand for Seigi to control. While this happened, he would answer her question about Makita. "Sorry about that. You look like someone I used to know, is all." He would say, opting to keep his explanation short. He doubted they would believe that he was actually from another dimension, and even if they did, he didn't have the time to explain it.

The group seemed to collectively believe that death was an option here, and as the next wave approached, 3 tons of sand would rise up, out of the hole Seigi had created a moment ago, rising into the sky. With his hand upraised, the orb of sand would shift and turn, dripping small amounts of sand around him.

"Nobody else dies today!" He would yell, lowering his arm to point at the next horde of Xenobeasts. As he did so, thousands of needles make of sand would be propelled forward, pelting the monsters and the environment into a cascade of destruction. The road and the buildings in front of them would see themselves reduced to rubble by the sheer quantity and applied force of the needles, and any creature caught in the mix would be shredded by sand. He would expertly avoid hitting anyone near the horde, direction the main attack past the frontline, letting them fight their respective battles in peace without worry of sand attacking them, but cutting off the enemy's forces, at least for a moment.

As the dust would settle, Seigi would look behind him, as the crowds of citizens continued to load onto smaller airships. Some of these lifeboats had already begun to take off, meaning the evacuation had started. In the distance, a ship would catch his eye, it's peculiar black shine standing out from the rest. It was his ship, the Nimbus, which meant Ren was here somewhere as well.

"I think I figured our way out! Stay here!" Seigi would yell to the group, breaking formation as he jumped forward, moving towards the airship in the distance.

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Takara Kaiyo Wed Nov 24, 2021 6:59 pm

Dahlia had a bit of a mental breakdown at first, something that Takara was concerned with, but overall now wasn’t the time or place to try to get a handle on that. For the moment, she simply needed to press on with gaining a foothold here and keeping people safe, and with her fire swords, Dahlia was more than capable of keeping her side from getting overrun, cutting through the enemies with ease. She seemed to actually be happy to do so, reveling in the combat and enjoying the fight. Yuichi, for his part, unlocked the fabled Sharingan through the experience, and was giving them advanced intel so that they could keep track of things as they went, and was volunteering to help anyone who needed it. That was when Seigi finally introduced himself, apologized for some confusion, and then made a very bold claim that no one else was going to die today. His capability to deal with mass numbers was on par with her own, and his control over it was nothing short of amazing.

And then he declared he had a solution, and told them to stay, dashing off before Takara had much of a chance to process it. She looked for a moment in the direction he was running to and realized very quickly that he was heading for an airship. Having an escape option was definitely necessary, so she was thankful for it, and he moved during a natural lull, making it opportune. “Alright Yuichi, you are up to bat! Take over the center, me and Dahlia will help as we can!” The flanks were where they were getting hit the hardest anyway, as the new wave approached. They were relentless! Just how many were there? Not bothering with the logistics for now, Takara began to kneed her chakra once more, her cheeks swelling as she let loose another pressurized stream of water at the next wave, wiggling the aim up and down a bit and catching quite a few that had simply tried to jump over in her sector. They had to hold out and save the civilians, but they also needed to wait for Seigi to return with the airship so they had a way to get off this rock as well. The water nin was not about to take a civilians seat just to save her own hide.

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Yuichi Thu Nov 25, 2021 2:13 pm

The impulse to flee once their most powerful member left the group hit like a brick wall, and Yuichi was frozen until he heard Takara calling out to him to take the center. His hesitation had seen xenobeasts begin to fill out space she was asking him to take. He shuffled his feet for a moment before activating body flicker to take the center lane almost instantly.

Immediately after arriving, the fight started, with one xenobeast attempting to bite him. He dodged forward and to the left a bit, attempting a strike for the throat as he passed. He missed and then stumbled, rolling over into another xenobeast which he immediately stabbed through the throat. He stumbled backward into the one he’d been fighting before, which grabbed a hold of his left arm. So, he cut its hand off.

It reeled back, screaming, and Yuichi finished it off by throwing a shuriken and was moving on to the next one.

His sharingan allowed him to fight when he was moving at full speed, so he focused in killing them as quickly as possible. Dash underneath one, slash at it’s ankle, finish it off. Avoid attack, strike. His movement speed combined with his new perceptive abilities allowed him to dodge attacks coming from multiple directions, as well as make precise strikes in the midst of combat, even at strange angles.

Once, he’d been grabbed by one arm and a leg, so he slashed the throat and kicked off, which resulted in him being upside down somehow. He managed to, while spinning upside down, cut the hand off a xenobeast that tried to grab him, land perfectly on his feet, and stab it through the heart in time to deal with the next xenobeast coming his way.

He dashed into it, plunging his kunai deep into its chest and spilling another's guts on the ground. It desperately grabbed at its organs before Yuichi drove his blade between its shoulder blades.

He attempted to throw another shuriken at the next one that approach, but he released it to early and in spun off in a random direction. The xenobeast towered over him. He swung his kunai wildly at any hand that moved in his direction. A massive, sharp tail coiled around him. He attempted to cut it, but he didn't have the raw force. Its grip tightened and he was pulled backward, losing his grip of his kunai when it happened.

As the xenobeast that had its tail wrapped around him pulled him in, he drew the last of his kunai and stabbed it when it tried to finish him. Its tail uncoiled and dropped to the ground.

Yuichi saw that the one he was fighting before he had been interrupted had rudely decided to abandon their fight and go for the crowd. Yuichi caught up to it in no time at all and put it down in one swift strike. He took a moment to breath in between fights.

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Dahlia Fedcon Thu Nov 25, 2021 10:14 pm

Dahlia kept narrowly avoiding that attacks of the beasts coming for her just as she heard Seigi shout. She actually letting out a giggle as she noticed the sand just in time to kick one of the beasts closer to her just in time, and just enough to get destroyed by the sand that just barely cut off right before it could have hit her given how close she was to all of the action. She looked back from the utter destruction before her and devastated bodies that were nothing but bloody messes. Good thing she got that eye when she did otherwise it would be destroyed too. Her attention was pulled to Seigi as he said he was leaving for a moment. She rose one of her nostrils up with squinted eyes watching him run off.

‘So he gets to run but we stay…?’ Dove asked with a slight huff.

“Kinda rude.” Dahlia said before looking to Dove and smirking as they both tilted their heads back, and practically sang out. “Laaaaaaaame.”

Yes he was probably coming back acter securing a way off. Was Dahlia particularly in a situation mentally to register that part? Possibly. Did she currently care enough to? Definitely not. Hearing Yuichi would be joining them up front she gave him a wide smile.

“Don’t worry we’ll make it boring for you. Boring deaths are usually peaceful right?”  Dahlia looked over to the non existent Dove beside her.

‘Right…..’ They both then shrugged looking to Yuichi and replied at the same time.

    “Probably.”

Dahlia focused some more chakra into her blade to keep it going as they stood theory idly for now. Not too long after that… like probably record time actually, did another wave come. She let out a slightly shrill giggle as she fell deeper into her own mind letting her excitement pick up further. In her eyes she slowly saw Dove merge with her as their looks found a healthy medium of the two. To everyone else she stayed the same but to her she found the perfect balance between her imaginary friend and herself. Right as some from her side came forward with roars she let out one right back before racing in. All with the biggest beaming smile planned on her face. She wouldn’t have a boring death. Hers would be exciting, painful, and everything in between. But not before she took out as many as she could along the way for good measure.

Dahlia’s attention split away just for a moment realizing her hands were starting to get a bit itchy…. The blood. It was all over Yuichi as well and he had open wounds under that cloth. If there was any residue left over, or more got on him at that section it could be bad. She supposed it was a good thing that she was using a flame blade that stopped them from bleeding when she stabbed them. Well Yuichi had long range attacks maybe he could-

Chop them up with his kunai up close before she had a chance to warn him… yep sounds about right knowing her luck. Something in her mind told her to focus as she felt her eyes practically dart over just in time to see one of the beasts about to hit her. She had never been that effective with noticing things unless she was in the forest. She shifted her head as its attack narrowly missed her face from her slight move. Her wide eyes watched them with a straight face just before she stabbed it right in the head.

As it went limp onto the ground her smile grew widely again just as she back flipped away from another beast that fell over the sudden body in front of it as it was too focused on attacking her to notice the body that was no longer in front of her and now spiralized onto the ground. She locked eyes with it for a moment, biting at the air challenging git before it sprinted right at her again. With each lashing out of its arms and tail she chopped each on off. The moment it doubled over in pain she leaped up onto its shoulder, slashing its head off on her way up.

She leapt off it and onto another nearby one’s shoulder then others and another. Each one she slashing to slit their throats. She leapt off the last one towards the final one on her side lopping off its head as well. As she landed she panted with a smile and finally released her Razor Burn looking back at Yuichi who was a bit ways away. Then to Takara when she was finished with her section. She pulled out the eye from her pocket and held it up for her to see in her black blood covered hands.

“The blood is corrosive or acid based in some way. It’s irritating the skin so we gotta get it off. Mind a little spray down?” She asked with an almost playful tone and smile.

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by FROSTCestrell Fri Nov 26, 2021 7:37 am

Kanara woke up by the screams of a crowd and a sound that could be described as hundrets of foodsteps coming her way. Getting herself up, she readies herself for the attack. However, the attack never came, the foodsteps seemed to pass the tavern in which she had fallen asleep. The tavern itself, full of people that were chatting, drinking, having fun, now was empty. Kanara watched the fire pit in the corner as she thought about her next steps.

Pulling her out of her thoughts, the door broke down as a creature she had never seen clawed its way inside the tavern. Letting out a bloodfreezing scream it charged at her. Instinktively her normally red- purple ish eyes changed colour to the characteristic red of the uchihas kekkei genkai. Barely dodging as the creature jumped towards her she kicked it mid air, sending it into the wall, where it landed with an unpleasant look. Looking at the now, presumably dead, creature a bit closer, kanara decided that this was something she didnt want to encounter inside agian. Afterall speed was her strength and without a way to flee, it was a bad idea to fight anyways.

Making her way through the remains of the door, she finally got to see what the people were to eager to get away from. A dozen of the same things that she encountered inside were heading straight towards the goup of peope. Thinking about her options Kanara realised that whatever those creatures were, they were faster then the average human. Her hand absently touched the headband he wore hidden underneath her robe around her neck. This was all it took for her, to remember her that, while she easily could run, she was a shinobi after all. Leaping onto the nearby roof she began to wave the handsigns she needed.

Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger. By the time her hands formed the last seal, she felt the energy surging withing her. In a fluent motion she opened her mouth, seemingly blowing 16 small fireballs out of her mouth in a  straight line, before they slit up, covering the entire street in diameter. The creatures, seemingly only interested in killing, didnt even bother to try to evade any of the fireballs flying straight at them. A mistake they would regret soon. As the fireballs hit, it became clear to Kanara that those things... those beasts... didnt like fire too much, which wasnt surprising as nothing that was alive and kanara knew of, liked to be set on fire. However the monsters were even beyond that. Her attack was a sucesss on any part. Not only did she hit with all her fireballs, also she did , either by pure luck or destiny, manage to kill of 10 of the beasts. the remaining two were badly injured, which didnt stop them from going after their agressor though, so Kanara had to get rid of them.

Disposing of the 2 creatures, taking advantage of their huge weak spots on the back, Kanara tilted her head as she heard the same scream she heared before. seeing like 3 dozen of those creatures aproach on the same way their comrades did before them. Looking into the opposite direction, the civilians where nowhere to be seen. Calculating the her odd she concluded that she likely had a chance to cause serious damage to them, however she wouldnt risk it without being forced to. Aside from that saving civilians seemed more important to her now anyways.

Muttering to herself: "The risk is calculated... but i never was too good in maths."

She took off on the spot, running after the civilians, or in what she hoped, was the same direction as they ran. After a short while the picture she saw was frightening. Destroyed houses and dozens of the same creatures that she had encountered before were laying on the ground. The creatures, pierced by something she either couldnt see or was long gone and the small holes inside the street let her ask herself against which kind of best they fell. Looking further ahead she saw a group of shinobi, clearly busy with the same thing she did earlier.

Approaching them in she decided that now was a good time to fight again. Kanara smiled as she put out two small knives from her tool pouch and said:

    "Oh, i like these odds"

Holding the knive, she performed the handsign for the body flicker technique, she worked so hard to master. And it had payed off. Rushing forwards she came to a immediate stop, nailing two of the creatures she had to deal with before in the head with her knives. Jumping over a few of the beasts she landed next to a shinobi who was a little smaller then her. Not even bothering with names she readied to perform a set of handseals, while asking him:

"Mind if i lend you guys a hand?"

After finishing everything up he ended up coming along anyway all he had to offer was his speed in hopes of saving anyone that needed it, nothing else besides that was going for him. Walking down the path the screams of the emporium seemed to grow louder as the sound of explosions and battle cascaded throughout the floating city it seemed rather sad, a home to many now being brought down to its knees. So many lives lost and so many lives yet to be found it was all going well for the enemy so much chaos and pain filled the air but no one had time to save everyone. If one was to be saved the other would most likely be lost in the violence it was a shame to be a shinobi watching one live and the other die as the others who can’t defend themselves lean upon an individual with a metal headband. The ways of life were short but to exterminate a population in such a way only meant that the enemy was sending out a powerful message. As he made his way closer to the sound of battle he could only walk past the soulless corpses upon the ground he walked on but for every innocent that lost their lives it seemed a weird mutation of a creature was found not so far. Revenge was being introduced with justice but the damage was done. The lives would not return no matter how many fell on the enemy side the city was in ruins and by the looks of it even if they won the battle the city would still fall. As he walked up the street quickly he could only keep his eyes open for anything with life and a will to live but yet to no avail it was silent nothing was left the battle moved forward and onward. So he followed the sound of pain and suffering.

“So what do you think you can do.. Once more you’re with actual shinobi the speed you possess can only get you so far till you die but go ahead and pretend you’re actually a shinobi if I knew saving you was going to only imply that you continue to risk our life I should have let you die.”

Once more the words crept inside his soul and bounced off his very being but the figure wasn’t anywhere to be seen, his own reflection or his own demon nothing else mattered but if he was going to die. He at least wanted to know if he was going crazy or was there truly another psyche hidden deep within his own mind to protect himself from self harm. Throwing caution to the wind too many times in his life could be a sign of his mind and body attempting to protect himself from own doom, the one he wanted to seek out in order to grow stronger. Stopping for a second he looked around attempting to clear his mind of such negative thoughts but that was asking for the impossible based on his current location the battle between life and death was evident. Something he struggled to see why life left him a chance to get back into the world but with such an annoyance by his side it made it clear that he was now being watched by whatever this presence was and each and everyone of his moves were to be studied and analyzed. All for survival purposes nothing else seemed to be an issue until he chose to put his life on the line now it seemed to make a little sense.

    “....”

With a grin upon his face he began to walk once more minding his step around the dead taking each step carefully and fast pacing himself in hopes no one was truly alive enough to survive such torture. He was no medical shinobi but putting one out of a pain in a quick manner was something he could do but in hopes all he wanted was for everyone to make it out safely on this day. Death was not an option on this day if he had to gladly risk his life in hopes of everyone else escaping. Coming to a quick stop as his eyes peered ahead he watched a small band of shinobi hold the line each ready and prepared for the fight they had coming to them Burittsu simply continued to walk quickly and silently behind them watching them closely as he stopped a few meters back. Watching too see how they moved and what the enemy could also be capable of it seemed the smartest idea as he placed his hand on the blade of his he was cautious and ready with a hand on top of the handle he silently waited and watched.

    “....”

The crowds of Emporium citizens rushed the ships, and as Seigi got closer, he could see how desperate the situation was. Many people were bloodied, either attacked by those creatures or shaken by explosions. Whatever was left of the Emporium's own shinobi force was trying it's hardest to escort people to the ships in an orderly manner, but it was nothing short of controlled chaos. With his eyes on his own ship, Seigi would speed over to it, moving through the crowd post haste. People were loading into the side doors, and as he approached, he was greeted with a familiar face.

"Bloody hell Seigi, you look like shit!" Ren would say as he hleped a young girl onto the ship. The 16 year old pilot was a prodigy in the skies but his humor was needing work.
"You got it back up into the air?" Seigi would ask, looking over his airship. Last they had used it, they had been forced to make an emergency landing in the mountains.

"Yeah, went out and worked on her while you were asleep. Came here a few days ago to look after you, under Kumo's orders."
"Under Kumo's orders? You're not a Kumo nin. You didn't have to come." Seigi would say, stepping onto the ship. There was probably 20 people crammed into the hull. Moving to the cockpit, Seigi would reach under the co-pilot seat and produce a small bag he had stashed there for occasions like this. Opening it up, there would be a new set of clothes for him to change into, his usual traditional robe, and he stole a pair of Ren's sandals.
"Yeah, well, I didn't have much choice. What the hell is happening?" Ren would ask, beginning the pre-launch check, sitting down in the pilot's seat.
"Giant monster. Drop these people off and come back for me. Be ready for a quick exfil." Seigi would say quickly, not giving Ren the time to protest. He would make his way back into the hull, moving to the ramp, and would close the doors of the airship from the outside. Stepping away from the side, Ren would detach from the dock, the airship beginning to drift away. They would give each other a quick thumbs up before Ren would quickly disappear into the clouds below them.

With Ren on his way out, Seigi would begin making his way back towards the group of kids he had left to fight. As Yuichi pulled the Xenobeast down and killed it, Seigi would land beside him, sliding to stop.

"You're doing great. Let me know if you need more chakra." Seigi would say, patting him on the shoulder, before jumping down to the others.

"The airship was full. He's going to drop them off and then come back for us! We hold the line here!" Seigi would say, gathering up his sand once again. The thousands of needles that littered the landscape would begin to dissolve back into sand, streaming back into a glimmering wave around him. Nothing was going to get through them.

Takara was just about done playing around with these idiots.  It was time to truly deal with them in mass numbers.  Everything so far had been going relatively well.  Yuichi had stepped up in a big way, putting his Sharingan to use along with his speed, allowing him to deal with his foes pretty effectively, although it was obvious he couldn’t handle large numbers.  Dahlia also was doing really well, but she too noticed something odd; the blood was slightly acidic.  Takara herself hadn’t dealt with that because she hadn’t gotten into close quarters with the ones she killed, so she hadn’t known… but Yuichi and Dahlia were covered in blood.  She was going to have to address that very soon, but she was going to need a moment to spare.

And that moment was provided when yet another user of the Sharingan appeared, offering assistance.  Takara’s orders were quick and concise.  “Take my position for a moment, and give us your name if you can.  Dahlia, Yuichi, take a second and spin when you feel the water hit you.  I’ll try to clean you off the best I can.”  She then stepped backwards, so that she was now in the center position between all of them, and her cheeks swelled yet again, but this time it was less about spewing high pressure water, and more about getting the blood off them or diluted enough to stop it from causing damage.  She swept across them with a high volume of water at lower pressure, enough to feel like you were getting hit with a strong creek, but not a raging river.  Once that was finished, she took half a second to look around, noting a blue haired person in the distance, but she didn’t have time to deal with bystanders right now.  If they didn’t have enough sense to either get to the dropship to get off this rock or help fight, they were on their own.

Seigi returned, telling her that the dropship was acquired, but for the moment, it was tasked with getting the civilians out of here.  “Perfect.  Good call prioritizing them.  New formation.  I’ll take the first line, long range.  Seigi, you get mid range with your sand… anything that is still moving after I deal with them.  The rest of you; if they make it past the sand, kill them, but try to conserve your chakra, and do not go past the sand.  The technique I’m about to use will shred you just as quickly as it will them.”  It was the first time she had used the technique, but that didn’t matter now.  She had more than enough water lying around to do what she wanted to do, and brought both of her hands to one side of her body like she was holding something.

Water surged from all around them to the spot, and rapidly condensed as she brought her focus into it, chakra pressing into the spot unlike anything she had done thus far.  This was a true S-Rank technique, her Water Shuriken.  2 meters wide, it was just actually bigger than Takara, and once it was formed, she held it above her head, hovering just a bit off of the palm of her right hand, where it began to spin rapidly to the point where it was just a blur of extremely pressurized water.  Without a word or a single woven hand seal, she launched it towards the new wave that hadn’t quite advanced yet, sitting roughly 80 meters away and trying to build up their forces.  Once they had enough, they would surge in a wave; Takara would give them no such chance.  Her hands moved slightly in a motion to the right, and then swiftly to the left, and the Shuriken followed her guidance, sliding towards the right side of the formation that was growing, and slicing through them like wet paper.  Dozens fell in the first sweep, but the survivors roared in unison, charging to avenge their fallen comrades in a wave of pure ferocity and terror.  To sit still was to die as the Water Shuriken tore through their ranks, directed by Takara still in the back of their formation.

Another Uchiha had arrived and offered her assistance, something that Yuichi was thankful for. He really did not have much time to respond before Takara offered to spray the blood off of him. He didn't realize it until after she had sprayed it off of him, but huge red splotches covered his body. They were itchy and tender, and blistered in spots. They hurt bad now that Yuichi had noticed them. It was like being covered in second degree burns. He could only imagine what would happen if he let it sit.

"Thank you, Takara." He found that it had eaten straight through the fabric of his shirt in some spots.

Soon enough, Seigi was right beside him and told him he was doing a good job. He nodded, discovering that he was a bit shaky. Seigi informed the group that the airship would be dropping off the survivors, and then would be circling back aroubd for them. They would have to keep fighting for a moment.

Takara gave the group orders. Yuichi stepped into his position in the new formation. He had to admit that he was happy with this set up because it meant that he wouldn't need to be covered in too much more blood, and he was in a lot of pain from all of the red marks.

Takara used some kind of incredible attack where she created a huge water shuriken that she manipulated from a distance. All this was beginning to make Yuichi feel like he needed to expand his skill set. He couldn't do anything like that. Yuichi was in total awe of her attack, and stopped to watch it.

Two new arrivals soon came. One took action while the other took a chunks of Dhalia’s attention. After all, he was acting super creepy. Just silently staring, with his hand on his blade. Seriously, who was that guy? Then Seigi returned. Theeen Takra was giving some orders. Man a lot was going on and-

“Oh God WaterInMyFace!” Dahlia had asked for it but she wasn’t paying any attention due to all the things that suddenly just happened.

Dahlia still spun around like the disgruntled child she was until the minimal blood on her was off again. She even pulled out her Tanto to get it cleaned after the eye was clean. She let her arms go limp as the water stopped. She put the eye and tanto back before lifting her hair from her face to see an annoyed yasu in front of her with her arms crossed. The water had centered Dahlia a bit mentally again.

‘I’m so done with both of you.’ She said flatly as Dove appeared next to her laughing at Dahlia who was wringing out her hair.

“Welcome back.” Dahlia said to Yasu who just rolled her eyes.

‘Both of you are in time out. Dahlia you can fight but I handle the rest you both are too unstable right now.’ Yasu stated simply and before Dahlia knew it it felt as though she was looking at herself from afar while her face calmed a bit looking far more composed.

“Thank you for cleaning me off mam.” Dahlia said simply in a very calm and composed manner. “It’s exactly what I needed.”

She noted that Takara saw the man in the corner. Good to see she wasn’t seeing any new additional people in her head besides the usual ones. She gave Takara a simple nod then pulled out her tanto, spinning it to grip it with a back handed hold. Her eyes are serious and piercing.

“Understood mam.” She said firmly to show she would follow orders then blinked at all the water she was bringing in. “Oh shit… huh.”

She muttered the last part under her breath. When the initial destruction passed Dahlia would focus her eyes on any stragglers that came her way. She calmly dodged their attacks aiming for quick and peirce stabs to take them down swiftly and not wasting any time. Her style was almost drastically different in behavior than she had been before. The party needed a serious fighter right now, not a chaotic child. It was Yasu’s duty to give them exactly what they needed.

Seeing as her newfound allies went as far as being drenched in water to get rid of the strange creatures blood on themselfes, Kanara made a note in her mind to avoid it. Taking position in front of the water nin that seemed to run this operation, she performed a few quick handseals and blew out the same flaming fireballs allready used earlier out of her mouth. 16 perfect and small fireballs flew out straight out of her mouth seeking a few of the beasts that lingered closer around, getting ready to attack. Looking over the damaged bodies of the allready follen creatures she took a moment to look at them properly before answering:

"The name is Kanara Uchiha" Not keen on elaborating further she didnt say anymore. After all they were in the middle of combat, not at a party. Besides, she would have forgotten about their names by tomorrow and if there wasnt anything that made her rememebr them then her memory was gone until next week.

Deciding that the best use of her abilities still was taijutsu she moved forward, trying to intercept stranglers and use her phoenx sage fire technique if needed or encountering smaller groups of those beasts. While those beasts were way stronger then Kanara, it fas a feat they paid by with their speed and hulking posture. Missing simply wasnt possible and evading rather easy too. Not paying attention to any names she focused on the enemy as she raced forward. As she moved over the burning corpses of the few beasts her fireballs struck down, her sharingan could be seen glowing dimly through the smoke.

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Burittsu Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:19 am

Watching ever so closely it had seemed all of the shinobi at the current moment didn’t need his help but regardless he was also a shinobi watching the group form up it seemed they all were rather interested in surviving. Keeping his hand calmly on the grip of his blade he watched slowly as each one showed off a little bit of their techniques keeping the enemies at bay for the time being. Taking only a step forward Burittsu almost appeared to have no interest in holding down a team but regardless of the fact it was time for him to be of at least a little use one he met a while ago at one of the local establishments kept her pride and seemed to be doing great work. Fending off the enemies and helping her allies avoid any major injuries truly a shinobi who fought for the right reasons he remained motionless for a second only to take one more step closer. Wanting to live now seemed the best choice for himself and everyone else who wanted to survive the group was organized for being put together in such little time his role was just to survive himself but he doubted he’d be able to do anything compared to the rest. Silent and waiting he watched slowly each of their actions from the water to the fire and even the little interactions between. Scratching the back of his head it almost seemed he was willing to put his life once more on the line for more people on this very day as so many lives were lost finally it had seemed he made up his mind. Placing one foot out he began to walk slowly towards the group in hopes he wouldn’t be that much of a problem when it came time for actual combat but he could only place the bet of his life on himself and his experience. Quickly in the middle of his steps he could only feel a cold grip upon his left shoulder. It interested him, causing him to turn his head slightly to once more turn his head and face his double.

“Don’t do it if you don’t survive, it's over for us. Let’s just let them handle everything they’re shinobi..”

This statement that was brought to life by this plague that haunted his mind and body did shine some life on the truth of the matter but regardless Burittsu remained silent only responding back with a grin of his own. His teeth revealed to his counterpart a grin from cheek to cheek a grin where he couldn’t allow himself to be scared if he lived to make it off this crashing paradise or would he die making his story come to an end. It was all he had left in the end he was shinobi. If his life ended this very day it only meant that the virus in his head would also be gone from this world never to return. Gazing into the eyes of his copy it seemed to always try and pull Burittsu back into the darkness which in turn made him weaker but this was something that would continue to haunt him till his death. Something so complicated was passed on to him and he had no idea how to work his mind to keep this from happening but one thing was clear he made it known he did not want to die. Let alone have someone like Burittsu behind the wheel of the body that controls both the fate of himself and the young genin but yet his next appearance probably would not be one to stick around for if Burittsu does die. Turning back on the image he began to walk towards the group once more this time with a bit of motivation it seemed in the end for himself winning or losing didn’t mean anything in his death he would be free. In life he would have to learn how or what to do with such a problem yet it felt like the other wanted the spotlight himself. Such problems were meant for himself and only himself whenever the time came. Once more the words echoed from the image all inside of his body and head giving him a slight headache almost causing him to lose his balance as he began to lose his vision for a second or two. It had seemed the virus did not approve of the actions being taken and could only watch as the life he wanted to save once more was put on display for all to see. Making his way towards the group Burittsu could only leave a few little words behind him knowing the others would hear and make an attempt to see what or who he was talking to.

“If I die I was never meant to live, sit back and watch..”

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Sat Dec 11, 2021 12:39 pm

Air support was incoming. From the skies, Kitsuki could see the hordes of Xenobeasts running towards the evacuation centers and threatening to overwhelm the shinobi fighting to keep them at bay. The genin and their allies were doing a valiant job of keeping the monstrosities away but more help was always needed. Burititsu, Kanara, Dahlia, Yuichi, Takara, and Seigi would hear a loud screech from above as Kitsuki approached with her Quantum Meruit Armour. The white and golden armour was an intricate flightsuit with beams of golden energy jutting out from the wings of the armour. The beams and the engines towards the back of the suit propelled her forward while also unleashing a loud and foreboding sound to all enemies of peace. Kitsuki had transfigured her cane into its bow form. She pulled an arrow out of thin air using the Angelic Return technique and notched it into her bow. The power of Tenshijutsu allowed her to aim with precision while flying and her indomitable strength allowed her to draw the projectile back for maximum effect.

I don't even have to use the explosive properties of the Amicus Curiae...these things aren't that strong. A regular shot should be more than enough to obliterate them. Whoever created these creatures was going for quantity not quality.

Kitsuki swooped down low and started firing her broadhead arrows at the Xenobeasts from above. The genin fighting below would feel her assistance by way of the meteoric thumps pelting the monsters. If any of them were threatened by a swarm, they'd see the beasts struck down by some invisible fast moving projectile with enough force to mimic a minor blast. A total of thirty arrows were loosed upon Xenobeasts. With their ranks thinned considerably, Kitsuki paused to survey the state of the battlefield.

They were still more. Many more.

We need reinforcements! Go see if Arisu is in the city. We'll need her to bring more Kiri troops to help with the evacuations.
    Oⵏ ⵉⵜ!

Kitsuki wasn't on the best of terms with the alien but as Katsumi had told her, now was not the time for petty disagreements. She knew Arisu cared about the people of this world and would fight to defend them, irrespective of her God complex. The two of them had worked together for the betterment of the common people twice already. Time to make it a third.

Kitsuki launched another volley of arrows at the Xenobeasts while hovering above. Once she was finished, she gave a thumbs up to the shinobi below. "More help is on the way! Hold the line!" she cried. The Princess then took off to another section of the battlefront.

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Takara Kaiyo Sun Dec 12, 2021 12:53 am

Takara watched as everyone performed their duties ever so perfectly and people began to truly work in harmony to kill these waves of creatures.  By far and large, though, the most prolific was the arrival of Kitsuke Kurahasa, one of the leaders of the Hidden Mist Village.  She had accidentally stumbled upon the woman during training one day and knew of her by reputation and during that limited interaction, but that was the extent of it.  Seeing her rain destruction with her bow and giving them a moment to breathe was an absolute godsend, and the way she rocketed away, drawing some of the creatures in her direction, gave Katsumi the brilliance she needed to make a new judgement call.  Since they had a moment, she turned towards the group who had been fearlessly working under her guidance since they arrived, even speaking loud enough for the one who had been just watching them at first to hear her.

"They are hitting this location so hard because this is where we have concentrated our efforts so much.  All their targets in this area are right here.  Dahlia, you are coming with me; we are going to go wreak some havoc a little distance away and draw some of their attention away from us.  Seigi, you have the best AOE jutsu for this group, so you are in charge here.  Keep those civilians safe while we go draw some attention off of you guys real quick.  We don't have long, so if this thing starts to dive, everyone gets on his airship without delay, got it?"  That wasn't something that was up for debate.  She looked at Dahlia and nodded once; her fire blades and close quarters abilities were going to be the best thing to offset her own jutsu, so it was time to put it to use.  Without another word, she moved off the opposite way that  Kitsuke had, knowing full well that she was more than capable of handling things herself while they did what they had to do.  Once they were set up, Takara came to a stop in the blatant alleyway that created a nice funnel for them to fight in.  "Alright... we hold here.  We kill them until they start to overwhelm us, then get as close to me as you can.  I got a Jutsu that will be perfect once they get all clumped up."  She then planted her feet, watching as a large number peeled off from going towards Seigi and his group and came towards them.

Kanara watched in relative awe as arrowrs rained down on the bests, striking dozens of them down in a swift motion. However she didnt have the time to look up to the one that sent them as she wsa busy fending for herself, tying her best to evade the beasts attacks. If they hit her it would certainly do more then just hurt, do getting hit wasnt an option and her reason to stay save. as a small group chargend Kanara, she performed the handseal of her favoutite technique once more and watched at the fireblaas left her mouth and barreled into a small group of the monsters, taking some of them to a place where they wont be able to anybody anymore.

During the small time she took to use that jutsu of hers, she heard one of the people who were standing there before she arrived give orders. While she wasnt too eager on following the order of somebody that she didnt even know off, she agreed in her mind to the extend that it would be ok to follow them as they werent bringing her into a hopeless situation. After all she wasnt a mindless drone or toy soldier that other people could throw into the fray as they pleased. Seeing as two of the girls took off in a direction she finished on eof the beasts approaching her and took a glance at the girl named Yuichi. Or was it a boy? Kanara couldnt make out the difference, and it didnt matter in this moment. The only thing that mattered now was to come out victorious or rather survive long enough until they could get off of this flying rock, and hopefully with a softer landing then she feared it would be. Shouting he her/him she said:

"So its just you and me now, huh?"

Revelations 12: The Attack - Page 2 Empty Re: Revelations 12: The Attack

Post by Dahlia Fedcon Sun Dec 12, 2021 6:41 am

The battle raged on with things escalating quickly, giant water shuriken, fire balls firing off everywhere, and now a new arrival informing that reinforcements were on their way before firing off arrows at all of the Xenobeasts be below as they flew by.

“... I swear the longer we stay here the more this all seems liek a fever dream…” SHe said in a mutter before she looked over to Takra as she called out to her and the others giving some instructions. “Got it!.”

The idea was pretty solid. Split off to draw some of the beasts away from the main group given how heavily they were being targeted. That and with their elemental combos, and Dahlia's close combat capabilities paired with the other girls' long range one meant they had a pretty good bet for keeping the beasts at bay together especially given the narrow path that Dahlia followed the other girl to when she saw the other girl head off. She looked from the incoming beasts to the other girl.

“Try to save some water for me.” She moved into a battle pose “I think I’ll probably be in need again after this.”

She then darted forward, closing the distance between her and the beasts. She focused her precise strikes that she aimed to be one hit kos ever time; on the beasts that were the closest to Takara first. If she kept the immediate ones off the girl she would be able to use her long range to cover Dahlia more safely. Despite knowing how the other girl likely would have her back she still did her best to keep an eye on possible incoming attacks to evade them when possible.

Post by Yuichi Sun Dec 12, 2021 2:39 pm

Yuichi had seen many things this day that left him speechless, but he had never seen anything like the beautiful woman who flew in using some kind of mechanical suit. She fired invisible arrows that shook the ground as the struck, often killing several zenobeasts with a single arrow. It was something straight out of a fantasy. He had so many questions for her. Where did she get the armor? How did she produce the arrows. He wished that he could read minds.

Takara told the others that she was going to pull a large number of them away to relieve the group a bit. He was a bit sad to see her go, because they every time she left it seemed like Yuichi almost died. But he wasn't alone this time, he had the assistiance of Seigi and the woman who called herself Kanara Uchiha. She seemed like a decent fighter from what he had seen.

"Not quite," he gestured toward Seigi.

He readied his kunai once more, throwing himself at one of the zenobeasts and stabbing it through the throat. As it collapsed he used it's weight to draw back out his kunai. It wasn't quite like cutting normal flesh, but it still wasn't a feeling he enjoyed. Plus, their blood burned. He found himsefl once again wishing he was elsewhere, but he banished the though immediately.

He was here to stay, as unfortunate as that was. He moved on and focused on keeping zenobeasts away from the crowds, sprinting back and forth trying to slay any zenobeast that go close with swift melee attacks.

Katsumi was agitated. These things had continuously come after them and seemed to somehow be endless. Was the massive Bijuu thing spawning more? It was possible. If that was the case, this was simply a war of attrition, and one they would lose if the Ninja that were in the battle with the beast didn't hurry up and mop that thing up. For now, though, they simply needed to kill these things as quickly as they could and draw as many of them as they could handle away from the main party. Dahlia's concern brought a smile to her face. "No problem, but I mean it. They get to much, get close to me. I don't care if you have to hug, but I got something that can handle these bastards pretty well close range." It was something she had come up with on the spot, but that was sometimes the best way to do it.

For now, however, she was going to try to conserve her chakra. She fired another Greater Severing Wave, the high-pressure stream of water slicing through the air around Dahlia with perfect precision and missing her cleanly, but cutting through a large number of the creatures to alleviate the pressure on her. Some more were coming from their flanks, but she didn't want to deal with them right now, so with a bit of focus and concentration, and a bit of the water she had been using, she summoned something that would be more than effective for handling that issue. The water cloaked over her skin aside her nose and mouth, looking through a thin veil of it into what could only be described as heavy plate armor made of condensed water. The Xenobeasts tried in vain to pierce it and harm her, but they didn't even scratch the material that held it together.

With a single motion, she shoved her armored fists into the creature's mouths with each hand and then let the armor do the rest of the work, literally drowning them with the armor. Once that was done, she dispelled the technique, the water dropping off her body in a small wave as she prepared for her next technique.

Yuichi was still going at it with everything he got. Making a mental note in in her head about his amazing prowess, she moved on with her onslaught, knowing it would futile. She couldnt rememeber names if her life depended on it, unless the people belonging to the names did something that burned herself into a mind. Luckily she was better with faces, that being said however she also wasnt good with faces or remembering overall. However she didnt have time to think too much about the whole thing as she was just as busy as the girl or boy she was thinking about.

Bringing her attention back the the more pressing matters she used her advantage now a bit more creatively. Choosing a strong subject of those things she circled around its back, where it couldnt see and evaded attacks to the hit the "alphas, which returned the favour, often with more extreme countermeasures, often leaving its victim back in a bloody pile of its own corrosive blood. It seemed to work well, and as soon as she got rushed she simply would take the beasts as a jumping board and jump to safety.

Dahlia snorted a bit at her hug comment before she called back to her.

“If you need a emotional support hug just say so, i doubt anyone will make fun of you for asking over giving reasons for me to possibly hug you.” she said more playfully than mockingly thanks to Yasu’s guiding hand.

Dahlia kept fighting, and resisted the urge to jump or dodge when the water came. It was a natural reaction to want to dodge but the girl was firing so cleanly and persicely around her that if she suddenly jumped she could end up throwing off the girl’s shot, or ending up in her line of fire by accident. So instead she chose to trust her as she nicked one of the beasts into the stream when it was coming for her. She wasn’t too strong so he didn’t move far, but it was definitely far enough to get hit by the watery stream of an attack.

She spotted a beast get past her and rushed Takara then. She turned to try to rush after it only to see Takara not only make some armor out of water but to drown the beast. Impressive. She thought right before she felt the presence of one grow close to her. She then used her Lighting Rod jutsu that Tengoku had given her the scroll to learn quiet some time ago. She channeled the lighting all throughout her body, shocking the beast just as it went to grab her. While it was shocked, staggering its movements she performed 2 swipes.

One to hack off its arm, and one to hack off its head cleanly with her Razor Burn. only a little blood splattering onto her face and arm due to the blade cheering its flesh. She then moved the last strike right into another as a new beast moved to fill its place. They were still closing in fast. She could easily help mass burn off more with her other jutsu’s but given how low her chakra was feeling she couldn’t afford to keep blasting off more and more jutsus like this. So with one hand she reached for her Tanto and the other she released her Razor Burn.

She slashed at another beast that was closing in with her tanto using its eye as an easy penetration point splattering blood onto her hand. Hey she did say she'd likely need a spray down again. She then ran up its torso and yanked out her tanto as she back flipped off the beast narrowly dodging two beasts swiping at her. As she came right side up above the stabbing arms she used them to leap off of back towards Takara to let her do her jutsu as she called out.

“Hey I’m getting super low on chakra! I can keep fighting but it’s not going to be fancy.”

Yuichi had been trying to keep their blood off him, but it was not easy. He found himself itching insistently and wiping blood off himself after every kill. Now that his skin was so raw, their blood was very painful. He couldn't afford to slow down. That would mean certain death. So, he soaked himself in still more blood.

He remembered the woman he had seen before. The Uchiha. Kanara. This gave him an idea, so he backed away and sought er out. She seemed to be doing about the same thing that Yuichi was, and she was actually killing a few when Yuichi hollered to her from atop a building between them.

"You have fire style, correct? Please, climb up here!"

His plan was to use her fire and his wind attacks to take out any opponents who approached. The combination attacks they could make were quite deadly, and two pairs of sharingan watching from above would surely make defending the group a simple task. They could take out large numbers this way while minimizing the danger that they put themselves in.

Hearing the girl call out to her, Kanara looked up, before evading yet another one of the beasts. Did she plan something or needed help. Using her latest victim as a jumping bord, she used the heads of the xenobeasts as platforms to approach the roof Yuichi was standing on. If they werent so dangerous and this was a full out war, she would almost feel sorry for the beings she trampled upon. Finally reaching the roof she quicly jumped on top of it, as she feslt that the beasts no longer would accept their blind passenger, and when that happened, she wanted to be as far away from their claws as physicly possible. Taking a second to catch her breath she looked at him, saying:

"Yeah, i have it and im up here now... so whats up?"

Looking in the direction she came from, the beasts seemingly had no end. dozen, or maybe hundrets more as far as the eye reached. Luckily she had conserved her chakra so far so she could keep this going for at least another time. Taking another glance at him she noticed his appearance which was close to other uchihas, however as well as the fact that he was covered all over in the corrosive blood again. Surely it must hurt a lot. Digging through her backpack she pulled out a blanket and offered it to him, either so he could wipe the blood off or to bind it around him as some kind of protection.

    (Re-entering, with Dahlia and Takara)

Valen had landed within an alleyway not far from Dahlia and Takara while his fellow mist nin herself had handled the xenobeasts around her for the time being with a strange water jutsu he had yet to see before. Honestly if he thought it would help at all he would use the Hidden Mist jutsu to try to get an edge on the monsters however in this situation about the only thing that would accomplish would be to put all of them at a severe disadvantage since he was pretty sure the Xenobeasts would have other remarkable senses at their beck and call. Such as smell, or hearing. Hell for all he knew the things were seeing in the thermal spectrum and it wouldn't even affect their eyes. One could never know with these creatures. He had come down from the Radonsphere after he and Arisu had knocked it out of commission. She had given him orders to continue fighting and so he had come back down with the intention of doing just that. She had also given him a battlefield promotion to Jounin. As he had apparently proven himself capable enough to warrant the position in her eyes.

With that he had come down and landed here, in a side street. The strange gravitational issues the great beast above was causing had made the task simple and he had chosen here because it was at the moment without enemies. The alley that was, the adjoining street was rife with them. Drawing his weapon as he moved out of the alleyway he would see none other than Takara. She was fighting alongside an orange haired girl. As he descended he had heard the girl say some quip about Takara needing an 'emotional support hug' or some such and then that she was running out of chakra. Without pause Valen would draw his Blade of Ashes, the black blade coming nearly alive with heat energy as the blade began to heat up heavily. This technique wasn't as obvious as some of his others ones. It was only theoretical but given all it would do was augment his weapon now was as good a time to test it as any when his weapon was naturally as lethal as it was. The girl was near Takara now and he took a deep breath as both of his hands held onto the hilt of his weapon firmly.

Before he breathed out the stream of fire he called out, his voice a whip crack of command "Down!" Before letting his breath go. A torrent of fire shot down the street, going for hundreds of yards. He kept it several feet off of the ground, giving more than enough clearance for Takara and the orange haired girl to duck down. Should they at least kneel they would take no damage. Although they might have an issue with frizzy hair from the hot air. The fire shot down the street, kept contained from the buildings as it filled the passage with flames. Roars and cries of agony and and pain echoed out from the fire and before long the audible snap and crack of marrow boiling and bursting out of bones could be heard. Then he would cease his conflagration, letting the rest of his breath out smoothly. Stepping forward, his steps calm and smooth, he would stop near the two girls before speaking. "You can hug now if you want. You should have time." He would say simply, his tone dry as it could possibly be.

Post by Takara Kaiyo Tue Dec 14, 2021 5:23 pm

Takara finished her Jutsu and looked at a small horde that was heading their direction. Their plan was working, but maybe a little too well; they were likely going to be overrun before long, even with the combination of their powerful Jutsu and skills and their relative weakness… their numbers were just too great. Eventually they were going to be overrun because they were going to run out of Chakra, while the numbers of the enemy only seemed to increase as time went by. How were there this many? Perhaps some kind of hatchery of these things was nearby and growing rapidly or something to that effect. But no creature would build on a doomed structure, and even Takara being human, instinctively she knew that this thing was going to crash before long. As if to prove her point, Dahlia got close again and said that she was starting to get low on Chakra. Already she had blood on her again, something that was going to have to be dealt with.

    “Down!”

Takara didn’t hesitate in the slightest. She recognized the voice instantly, and instinctively replied not with words but actions. Grabbing Dahlia’s shirt, she would quickly attempt to yank her downwards so that they both were lying on the ground as a massive wave of heat presented itself, and without hesitation Takara used another Jutsu by pulling the water around them towards her and coating them with it. Normally, this Jutsu would have been a very powerful and large shield, but she held back just a bit, making it only cover them to protect them from whatever jutsu Valen had used. His power with fire was absolutely astounding, and she was not going to take any chances. But because of how low to the ground they were, her own technique didn’t interfere with Valen’s, and she could hear the screams of dying creatures before her. Once the heat had passed, Takara dispelled the technique on got to her feet, which had the added affect of rinsing both herself and Dahlia off. “Good timing… we needed the backup.”

But that was when she began to feel an odd sensation, almost like a thudding beneath her feet. Something was coming… something big. Looking to a puddle, she saw it ripple in unison with the sensation she was feeling, and her eyes got wide. “Looks like you attracted something big…” she started, unsure of where it was coming from at first. That was when she noticed that the sky changed color suddenly, or rather, something semi-transparent got between it and them. A barrier?! “And something that doesn’t want us to escape… or anyone else to get in. Powerful.” As she continued to look around rapidly for the next threat, she was glad they had at least washed off the blood… one less thing to worry about.
