It had taken many years, but Kara now felt truly accomplished. In the past year she had gained and lost much, she had risen to heights and sunk to depths she had not thought possible. She had met Damien Darhk, a man that she had actually valued above herself. She had intentionally kept herself from growing attached to anyone, even her own family, while she focused on her arts. Medicine, engineering, weapon and armor crafting, and of course her truest love of all; Chemistry. She had been so focused on perfecting everything that she did, on ensuring that the world conformed to her will, that when someone had come along that had been a perfect match for her it had turned her world upside down. Damien had been everything she could have ever dreamt of, she had allowed herself to love him and in doing so had opened up her heart to pain the likes of which she had been unable to imagine.
That fateful day in the Wind Dome when she lost her arm, she had been mortified. She had not at the time considered that anything could be worse than that. She had been quickly relieved of that notion. One day was all it took for everything she had clung to, everything she had hoped for, to dissipate into the aether. She now felt a constant pain, not a physical one, but her heart ached ceaselessly. She had made a mistake and she knew it. She had allowed herself to hope and that was the worst of her sins. Years spent building up walls around her heart so she would never feel pain only to have them lowered in her Prince's presence. Those walls were not just raised immediately again once she heard of his murder, but other defenses were added along with them.
As Kara sat in her shop in Kumogakure she had a bottle of alcohol in her one remaining hand. She had completed the prosthetic she had designed and it sat on the table in front of her. It was late at night and she sat alone and miserable in a place filled with the ghost of her lost love. Staring at the arm. She could feel the anger rising again, the hatred and malice that had taken root in the Raikage’s office when Shimiko had first given her the news. Taking a swig from the bottle she glared at the fantastic craftsmanship before her. “You were supposed to be here. I can’t tell what makes me more angry, that I wasn’t here when it happened or that it happened at all.” Tears slipped silently down from Kara’s golden eyes as her grip around the neck of the bottle tightened. Taking one more deep drink she flung the bottle with all her might against the far wall and screamed into the empty space. “You were supposed to be here!”
With the yell and the crash it took but moments for her assistant to rush into the workroom to see what the problem was. The young man burst in with a worried expression on his face and was holding a small hammer as a potential weapon against whoever was threatening his Mistress. Seeing him, Kara grabbed the unused cup that she kept for show next to where the bottle of alcohol had just been and with a surge of chakra she forced the glass to become magnetized, hurling it at the intruding assistant. The assistant reflexively caught the glass and Kara could then feel the magnetic field around the man, and in a blind rage swept him from the room and back out the door with a wave of her remaining hand. “Get out! Let me be miserable in peace!” She could hear the man scramble away as she released him from her magnetic hold and with a sigh she would turn back to the desk and her mechanical arm. She knew she would need to apologize at some point later, unless she wanted to hire his replacement, but for now she would drag herself up from her seat and get another bottle and open it.
“Alright, a few more drinks and this shouldn’t hurt at all.” She had designed the prosthetic to integrate with her muscles and so there was some minor surgery involved, that she unfortunately could not trust anyone else to do. She had used a topical anesthetic, but once she cut beneath the first few layers of skin it would be useless. After a couple more swigs from the new bottle she would clean her workspace and begin. As expected at first it didn’t hurt at all, but as she worked deeper she was grateful for the many drinks she had consumed. It didn’t hurt as much as when the arm had first been removed, but it wasn’t exactly pleasant now.
Gritting her teeth as she attached her new arm she would finally let out a deep sigh of relief as she flexed her ‘fingers’ on her right arm and sat marvelling at what she had done. It took her a few more minutes to work up the energy to clean up, but once she did she stood in front of a full length mirror that she hadn’t bothered to remove from the original design of the workspace. “So, it begins.” Was all she said as she looked at her new metallic limb. If she were to wear something to cover it, no one but the most discerning would even be able to tell it was a prosthetic at all. She was no longer perfect, she had been marred by the events of the last few weeks. With this arm though she was now better than perfect, and soon the world would tremble.

[Trained Conserving Bee Twin Blades, S-Rank Canon 300/300]
- Technique Trained:
- Name: Conserving Bee Twin Blades
Rank: S
Power: S
Activation Cost: A
Upkeep Cost: B
Range: 0m-40m
Speed: D Tier
Element: Magnet Release
Skill: Ninjutsu
Classification: Clan Exclusive
Requirements: Magnet Release
Parent Technique: N/A
Hand Seals: N/A
Description: Through the Magnet Release kekkei genkai, the user is able to magnetise anything they touch, and then subsequently anything that touches something they have already magnetised, and so on. However, the magnetic force weakens from object to object. Every additional object magnetized as a result of coming into contact with a prior magnetized object operates at a Tier lower Speed/Coor than the object that magnetized it. Once a person has been magnetised, the user can manipulate the magnetic field in such a manner as to make any subsequent attack using a metallic weapon extremely difficult to evade as it homes into their location. The opponent's Speed receives a one tier debuff for the purpose of avoiding such weapons. This technique is more often used with shuriken and other projectiles.
Weaknesses: The magnetic field created by this technique is extremely powerful but localized as such it can only be applied to dense, solid, and relatively hardy materials like shuriken, kunai, arrows, etc etc. The user cannot use this technique on loose Iron sand, sand, gold dust or any other grain-like and malleable substance used in freeform manipulation. This technique does not benefit from possible increased speed via freeform manipulation.
