As Valen stood around his own attention on the others Satomi would speak telling everyone to stand side by side. Valen would do so. Ending up at the end of the line and waiting patiently. Apparently one of the others was not going to be allowed to come. The little girl it would seem had some kind of ploy going on and Satomi was telling them that they were not allowed to come along because of their lies. The red eyed swordsman would tilt his head to the side in curiosity as the girl simply left. However that would come before the formation of the giant, golden, chakra construct. As he stood and turned his attention toward Satomi he would see his eyes spinning around into a new shape with a red back ground and black pattern around it. It was a strange but oddly hypnotic design that drew the eye and Valen couldn't help but ask the question. "What kind of eye is that?" He would say, not intending any offense by the question. He was simply curious and that curiosity wished to be answered in kind. Of course he wouldn't push a subject if someone did not wish to answer.
The surprises however would keep on coming as a giant golden construct formed around them and he looked around in moderate surprise. Was this it then? Was he about to be crushed by golden walls around people he didn't even know? Actually no, that didn't make sense. If Satomi intended to kill them all he probably would not kill his own Konoha shinobi would he? Unless they were traitors of some kind? For some reason Valen couldn't imagine the girl that had offered her coat to him as a traitor. Besides she seemed too...too...nice? Did that matter? He did not know. Still, the man with the strange eyes certainly wouldn't put them into some kind of multiwalled people crusher with himself in it. So Valen would look around in mild surprise for the moment. Until the rest of the Susano'o formed around them all, with them being within the head. Blinking in surprise the vertically challenged swordsman would move toward one wall and look down. The ground was about 150 meters below them by his judgement and he always seemed to be good at judging such things. It was sort of hard to really see the majesty of the thing they were inside of since he was seeing it from a viewpoint that started within it. He sort of wanted to see it from outside to really get an appreciation of it's size and form. Perhaps Satomi would be willing to show them this construct once he had finished showing them the inside?
Of course it would become quite evident that this was not the only thing Satomi wanted to show them as the wings on the thing actually began to flap at a slow pace. Amazingly, the construct began to fly, and it took them high up into the sky and over the clouds, carrying all of them with it. Now, Valen had been up high before, up in rigging in ships to make sure knots and ropes were good and tight. However he had never been this high. He felt the bottom fall out of his stomach for a moment as he looked down If he fell from the top of a ships rigging he'd be hurt, but he would survive. If he somehow fell from this high he didn't think it would even be questionable. Still, Valen wasn't one to fear death and the instinctive reaction to being so high quickly faded and he looked around as the cloud tops surrounded them. Surprisingly, that helped a lot too. The clouds seemed almost like a fluffy white ground that would catch him if he fell. Of course intellectually he knew that was not the case. However it didn't stop it from making it a little easier to move past the initial uncomfortableness. Turning toward Satomi as the man asked what they all thought Valen would speak. His voice was quiet, but it always seemed to be and honestly if anyone at all spoke when he did his words would be lost. "I think this is high level ninjutsu. I think this someone setting a bar too high to reach but one we'll try to regardless. What is it called?" He would ask, his red eyes looking toward the man. The ninjutsu was amazing and while Valen wanted to one day reach such a level he wasn't under any illusions that he would unlock the secrets of flight anytime soon. As it was, he would turn away from Satomi to look out amongst the clouds and admire the view.
