Contract Name: Revenants of the six heavens.
Type: Spirit
Specimen: Skeletons
Culture/Lore: Emotions are a powerful thing that drive people to do a lot. Love, hate, greed, generosity, joy, sadness, pain and relief. The list goes on and they are, as stated, a key motivator for a lot of human behaviour but what if those who have died, or either malice or the frailty of the human form, do not let go? Then they simply remain attached, holding onto what little death did not take from then.
That is what this summon is. A contract made with the angry, the wrathful, the dissatisfied, the betrayed or those otherwise whose duties are yet to be completed upon their death. It is not a traditional contract passed down via family or culture and one simply brought about by sheer circumstance. Was it a mere happenstance that brought Fujikawa and her summons together? Was it her own feelings attracting them to her? So many questions and the spirits offer few answers.
Element(s): Katon
Designated Skill: Sensory Techniques | Kanchijutsu. Body Techniques | Taijutsu. Weapon Techniques | Bukijutsu.
Summoning Method: Summoning any members of the Revenants of the Eight Members requires three things: Bones, earth and the blood of the contractor. Bury the bones, regardless of species, in the earth and simply bleed over it to invoke the summon’s presence. Bones will erupt from the spot where the bone was buried and form into the shape of the specific entity summoned.
However, there is one important thing to mention: The bones employed, and their age, typically affects what is summoned. Animals bones make summoning the more powerful ones harder, but not impossible if you have summoned them before and now the process, while human bones make it easier, especially if those humans died under an emotional state akin to the one felt by what you want to summon.
Unique Abilities: Fire of blood, peace of the earth: Due to their heavy association with Katon, all members of the Revenants of the Six Heaven class all Katon elemental jutsu as one tier higher than they naturally are...but at the cost of all Doton jutsu are one tier more effective when used against these summons. The reason for this is because Earth is, traditionally, where everyone is buried when they die.
Requirements: Bones, blood and earth/soil. Soil transported in a bag is fine.
Drawbacks: The requirement for blood, fresh blood, always demands the user injure themselves. Then there’s the need for soil which, when on a boat or in an urbanised area, can be challenging. Then there’s also the requirement for bones. It’s the difficulty in having these ingredients on hand and transporting them around that makes the summons so difficult.
