Bringing the Tailed Beast to Heel

When a messenger bird arrived at his window Tōri knew what awaited, quickly reading the note and heading to the familiar forest that was notably away from the village. For what they would be attempting, it was a most prudent decision to take such a precaution. Even with the confidence the Hokage had displayed at the mention of this important task.

Dressed in his traditional kimono and haori, Tōri hastily made his way to the rendezvous point where he found Airi enjoying a fresh stream with her bare feet. Once the trio was assembled Airi revealed the recognizable Iron Armor seal that was most appropriately placed for the ever bold woman. He had to reign in his inner fūinjutsu enthusiast from gawking over the famous seal lest he come off less than graceful. He certainly had no problem with the seal's location; the fascination of the seal simply outweighed any other vying emotions.

At the command to provide protection around them the Senju would simply nod as he formed three swift seals that produced countless branches that would spring forth twenty-meters out from his position and formed a circular wall around them. As the thick branches grew they interlocked with one another to strengthen the growing walls structural integrity as they continued to rise until reaching twenty meters high with a five meter thickness.

With one seal more he was able to cover the remaining distance outside the barrier with a forest of trees in a fifty-meter radius, dense trees and plant life sprouting in the already forested area that created an especially dense natural barrier around the tall inner-wall.

Once the defenses were formed Airi caught Tōri up to speed on the proceedings for how this would go down and thanked them both. Knowing that Airi and Tengoku seemed very familiar with this process inspired hope for the daunting task ahead. The confidence placed on himself with his invitation to assist in such a thing was starting to feel more earned having his own part in the plan.

“Oh course, I’m just glad to be able to actually lend a helpful hand this time around.”

Airi took a moment to summon a gorgeous-looking bird that took flight above to no doubt watch over them. Preparing herself with a different form than he had seen during the Chōmei incident he nodded with redoubled confidence, the new look striking quite the figure. With his leader looking ready to take on the world, Tōri nodded in agreement to the call to action and took her hand, ready for whatever came next as he looked to his two comrades with determination.

Post Deets:

Tengoku had finally gotten the summons. He had been lounging outside the front of Wolf Manor in a hammock between two fairly potent and old trees. Cherry blossoms would slowly fall around him as he napped in the shade of the spring morning with a softback book over his eyes. His golden robes with black trim hanging loosely around him with his equipment in a sealed scroll in the inner pocket of the robes. Only his Wakizashi at his side. His most potent and formidable weapon. He could call it to himself if need be but he had always preferred to keep it on hand. Still he would let his wolf like ears twitch and his nose twitch too as he heard and smelled his two dire wolves approach with a messenger nin in between them. Looking rather nervous between two wolves as tall as him on all fours. He would watch as Tengoku would lift one lean hand to collect the book off his eyes. The whites of his eyes had long since turned black from the curse of the Hankogan. A golden cross for an iris glowed with energy as he sat up. His loose white hair hanging about himself. 

Tengoku would slide of the side of the hammock into a pair of shinobi sandals. Slipping the straps over his heels to secure them before collecting the message. A smile and a nod of thanks before he tossed the messenger a coin worth enough to buy a nice lunch as a tip. He would open the missive as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He would sigh before pocketing it and running his hands through his hair to toss it over his shoulders. "Well pups...keep up." He would state as he would glance to the sky before noting the sun position. Turning in the direction of the meeting place and taking off at B rank speed. He wasn't using any chakra or an item at this point but he would get there in a timely manner. Coming to a jog and then a walk as he walked up to the two already present. Shortly as he slowed the slower wolves would arrive behind him. Trotting to the stream and taking a drink with eyes that watched Airi and Tori. However aside from a low growl if eye contact was made they merely remained. 

Tengoku would arrive just before the barrier went up it would seem. The light slowly fading out as the wall of wood rose. He could break it if need be but it was a nice deterrent. The two wolves were more to alert him if someone was coming and try to wake him. He knew the drill after all as Airi was sure to mention. He would sigh and ignore the blatant sexuality of his student. His attention would turn to the man from the fight with the Bijuu. He had helped with evacuations. Tengoku recognized the chakra signature. "Sup." He would say nonchalant. Like he wasn't the fuckin paladin of Konoha baby. Still he would give him a smile and bow his head slightly. He was retired so he would show some respect to active Jounin. Still he would roll his tongue between his bottom lip and his canines before he opted to lay down next to Airi on his back with one leg propped up and an arm behind his head for a headrest. They were about to pass out after all. May as well be comfortable. Still he would take Air's hand and close his eyes. Smiling as he commented snarkily. 

"Kick it off chief."

'Control Fight Dice' :

After the barriers were erected Tengoku greeted Tōri to which he offered his own bow and short hello in return, glad to have finally met the Paladin of Konoha and to be working alongside him. “Yo.” A pair of magnificent wolves accompanied the Wolf Sage in appropriate fashion, lapping from the stream as the trio gathered together for the event at hand. It was comforting to know such animals were watching over them, in the sky and on the ground.

The fascinating seal overlaid on top of the Iron Armor inscription pulled him with the pair into Airi’s inner mind, consisting of flashes of her memories before anchoring them in a bizarre sanctum dressed up with butterfly and rainbow sensibilities. This theme quickly took a turn as Tōri got a close glimpse at what he surmised was the influence of the elder gods Airi had spoken of recently.

Nodding in response to Airi’s assurances he continued to follow until the three reached the very being they had assembled to subdue. It was simply fascinating to encounter so intimately one of these bijū, this one seemed to have such a personality of its own for the destructive beast it had been not so long ago. After one final exclamation Airi released the cage that flew overhead and initiated the mental cage match.

“You fucking know it!”

With a surge of chakra and ten seals formed in a single second Tōri would summon forth two separate mokuton dragons that would burst from his chest, both rising above him before he reached a hand out to grab hold of one of the flying creations tails as they exited and fully formed. With his massive reserves Tōri would aim to provide a constant stream of mokuton ninjutsu support from the sky, able to provide chakra sapping creations and potent defensive techniques against any such bijūdama that were likely to come their way.

Once the dust had settled and their task complete Tōri would lower the defensive barriers to return the natural ecosystem to a semblance of normal after being so disturbed.

“I believe congratulations are in order Airi, that was a well earned victory. Perhaps the three of us should share some sake to celebrate sometime soon, I’m sure Tengoku and I could spring for some top shelf stuff.” Not wanting to cross any boundaries he would simply mime ribbing the man with his elbow at his volunteered part with a hopeful smirk on his face that he would be amenable to the idea. “In any case, I’m off to prep for an earlier departure. You both take care.” Heading back to the village Tōri was eager to get a meal in him and begin replenishing his reserves before heading out shortly to the sea in his search.

OOC: Attempting Exit

Tengoku would find the ordeal interesting. Roen had been essentially fighting them out of it's den or rather had slept under a mountain. This domain was similar to his own with the wilds they started on. However a yellow brick road had him sighing at the irony. Oh yeah, he had read this book. Or rather it had been read to him when he was a kid by his twin sister. Still it made the goal of where to go rather straightforward. They would follow the path and Tengoku would glance at the horrors that watched them. Had she not been his student he would have worried she was some kind of super villain. Still they wouldn't come too close. His own entity would slip up out of his robes as a small shadow fox and hover nearby. Hungry and ready to consume any of them that got close. Still they would enter a palace and were greeted by their host. Tengoku would feel his eye twitch in disbelief at how cordial he was. This bijuu was overly pleasant and it felt off. Something about this whole place felt off. Still he would follow her onto the elevator and roll his neck and shoulders. 

Tengoku would take up the defensive role for this fight. While Tori would handle the support and keep the thing pinned down Tengoku focused strictly on countering any attempts at attacks it made. Keeping it on it's toes as Tengoku was faster when it came to canceling out most attacks and consuming any energy based attacks aimed at them. Still it would be up to Airi to actually subjugate it. She was the offensive spear of this excursion. Still with the three of them the fight was over with relatively good success. Soon enough they would be back outside of the seal. Tengoku would sit up and let out a yawn as Tori took down the defensive barrier around them. Excusing himself before the two of them were left with just the wolves nearby. 

"Well that seems like it went well. Though your inner soul is in need of some spring cleaning. I look forward to what power the bijuu will grant you. Though based on its combat with us...I would talk to the aburame."

As soon as the gates rose up, Airi instantly got to work. Tori's wood techniques grabbed the creature and Teongoku would perform a defensive role. She created 3 Shadow Clones and performed a Rasengan Barrage upon Chomei. A large explosion of dust occurred. "I yield! You have all shown your resolve! Good good! Lucky for me you have strong Knights m'lady! Jolly good show!" the creature said and nodded it's head before the bird-cage lowered once again, encasing the creature back in the cage. Airi smirked at the creature and her sage mode deactivated and her shadow clones dissipated. She bowed to Chomei and turned to look towards Tori and Tengoku. "Thanks guys, really. I wouldn't have been able to gain his respect without your help. And yeah," she said, a bit embarrassed, rubbing her hand upon the back of her head. Tori jumped on the elevator as the three went back up. "Maybe we can have a rematch sometime, huh? No holds barred, hm?" she said with a confident smile upon her face. As the elevator continued upwards, it brought the three back up to the ground floor of the castle. A gathering of the Cosmic Horrors looked in through the castle doors. "Sadly, I can't clean them out of here. I made a contract with extra-planar beings and I can't exactly worm my way out of it. Thanks for the need for power, I used my soul as collateral. I... I won't be going to the Pure Lands when I die. But that's a small price to pay," she said before taking a deep breath in and steeling her resolve. "Now that I have the Seven Tailed Beast's power under my control, I now feel strong enough to be a proper defender of Konoha. But I think we're all done here now," she said raising a hand into the air and snapping her fingers, breaking them all out of Airi's mental plane. Sitting up, Airi groaned and felt the Ring of Combat Seal vanish from around the Iron Armor seal. She quickly fixed her kimono, tying the obi around it and grabbed any of her belongs that might have fallen. "Well, It's almost time to head to O'uzu Island. The Chuunin exams will be beginning soon. And, thanks again, you two. This meant a lot to me," she said bowing respectfully to both Tengoku and Tori before she started to walk back to the village.
