Ren and Tadara would arrive within the hidden underground base in the same room they had departed, the only visible difference between now and when they left was the unconscious form of Kudo on Ren's shoulders. Everything had gone according to plan, they robbed the vault got the artifacts and exclusives of the village while Raijin kept the village occupied, the only thing that was not planned was the young Kudo. He wasn't sure how she had found out that he had been there, but the fact remained he could not just leave her there, it was a choice of capture or kill and Ren decided to capture. Setting the young genin down on the ground, Ren would turn to Tadara. "It is doubtful that she holds many secrets, but I believe she could still prove useful." He would begin before reaching down and disconnecting the chakra disruption device from Kudo sending it back to the Kamui dimension to await needing use again. "She will wake momentarily, get what information you can from her, but ensure she understands that it was the light that saved her. If we can get her to join our cause, it's all the better, extra eyes and ears that others don't know will work in our favor. I will return shortly," with that said Ren would once again disappear into the Kamui dimension.

Tadara would emerge safely back at base. Having expended all his explosive tags but hardly much of his chakra. He was fortunate not to encounter an enemy. Now all that was left was for Raijin to escape and Ren to play his part. His plan was a rounding success so far. However the individual from Iwa that Ren had brought with them held his attention for now. Someone with the potential to recognize him before he could alter his face. To testify that he was in fact alive. An instinct said to kill the variable but he held off. Ren had other plans for them it would seem. Still he would Let his gaze shift over to Ren as he removed the chakra disruption device. Likely after that device they wouldn't have a lot of chakra left. Still he was tempted to place a seal for the time being. Something to seal the use of their chakra until he could ascertain some answers. For now he would simply nod as Ren told him to gather information on them. Watching as the man left through that useful ability of his. Honey colored eyes following after he had left from behind the white mask and white cloak that covered his features. 

Still Tadara was patient. He would have preferred to have some sort of sensory of his own. However due to his mask if anyone did have chakra sensory they wouldn't sense anything from him. As if he didn't exist in reality. Still Tadara would collect a notebook and a pen before pulling a chair up to the table. Leaving the young lady laying where she was as he jotted down notes. Determining a likely height and weight from just looking her over at a distance. Taking down general notes from about three meters away while he observed her. If she awoke to this strange place those honey colored eyes behind that white mask would observe her reaction to waking in a strange place. He was calm at all times despite just having lit his hometown on fire. The mass amount of deaths served a purpose for him. Still he wondered if they would seek revenge and eventually discover he was behind it all or if they would be useful to his plans in the future. For now he needed details to determine her point total. Still he would remain quiet and prepared to defend himself as needed should they have an adverse reaction to waking up here. Keeping silent until a rational conversation could be had.

Savage and nebulous dreams ravaged Kudo’s mind as she slumbered, with the removal of the device her state of consciousness slowly began to ebb its way back into her control. Eyes blinking she took a few minutes to simply adjust to the lights in the room she found herself in, her mind still too hazy to recall what had happened exactly. A low groan released from Kudo as she scraped her arms along the ground in a long stretch before slowly starting to curl her stomach and sit up. Rubbing her groggy face with her hand she tried to recall how she got here, last thing she remembered was the village being under attack and… In a jolt Kudo recalled her brief interaction with a masked individual before everything went black, her body reacting physically to the sudden recollection and her legs attempting to leap her into the air with her back to the wall. Her reflexes couldn’t keep up with her haggard form, instead resulting in her jumping up only for her legs to cramp causing her to fall back down to the ground.

Cursing, she slowly recovered and sat up once more, only to realize she wasn’t alone in the room. Perhaps it was the pain from her fall that had sobered her from the grogginess of earlier, her faculties were beginning to return and her situation was looking more and more dire. A different mask. So there’s more.

“Who are you and where are we?”

She struggled to even voice the real question she had in her own mind, fearful it might bring its answer to life before finally relenting as it bubbled up in her thoughts. Why am I alive?

Tadara would watch her in silence. Sitting perfectly still as he observed her ability to move with such exhausted chakra reserves. Perhaps she wasn't moving well but most would have given up moving at all immediately. That level of exhaustion settling in made muscles seize in an effort of self preservation. The body aching to stop whatever was causing it harm. It was beyond the ability of fight or flight as neither were an option anymore. The primal instinct of survival took all. As was demonstrated by her falling as she tried to move to quickly. She would recover and he could help her do so quickly. However for the moment such resources hadn't been earned. Time would be her only ally at the moment. She noticed him and quickly switched to wary. Her observation skills taking several seconds but...it was a dramatic shift. He would need to check her for a concussion. Still an answer to her questions was due. He would speak with a voice that shifted tone and accent slightly with each word. Like several people talking in a row. All the while jotting down notes. 

"Two very appropriate questions. Your training is already settling in. It is good to see you have a fairly cool head. I will answer your questions of course but first a warning. I am not a tolerant man. If I perceive you as a threat I will disable your limbs with this pen. Now that the rule is clearly set I will continue. For the purposes of this conversation you may call me Owl. I am a member of a group called the light. One of our own elite states and I quote 'I believe she could still prove useful' End quote. Meaning that you were rescued from the destruction of your location as part of our rescue efforts to save those with potential.  Now to continue, I need some answers from you. Please state your name, rank, specializations and elemental affinities. Also include if you have a sensitivity to bright light as you may have a concussion."

He would rattle it all off at the young woman as matters of fact. His emotion never wavered from neutral even when he threatened her. He was careful to refrain from threats regarding killing her. She was more likely to appreciate only a threat of being disabled....further. Still he had analyzed her almost immediately and didn't see much in the way of threat. Still he wouldn't let his guard down. His eyes shifting colors periodically but as they stared at the woman they seemed to reflect one aspect no matter how the color switched. That gaze was empty of anything behind it. There was no soul in those eyes beyond the chakra that glowed behind them. He held no empathy for her even as he was examining her from his seat. Still one of the staff would bring in a bottle of water and set it on the ground near her but far enough to remain out of reach before scuttling off.

A voice responded from behind the veiled individual, and not just any response but a thorough answering of her two spoken questions. Their voice was just as secretive as their mask, clearly this was not just a cautious person Kudo was dealing with but a cautious and organized group. There was still the kernel of worry that the attack was some sort of retaliation by Sungakure, though her own capture and subsequent dealings didn’t exactly point in that direction. Just what have you found yourself in the middle of? Her newfound progress found through training meant nothing in the face of exhaustion, even if she thought she could take the masked-one on in a straight fist fight. Such a notion never crossed her mind as a viable option, his threats did not sound idle and she would prefer to stay on the good side of one as cold as they sounded. Not wanting to keep her watchful captor waiting on her response, Kudo did her best to answer with the utmost sincerity while being as quick and blunt about it as possible.

“Kudo Hattori. Genin. Ninjutsu, hand-to-hand combat, and sensory. Doton and Futon.” Squinting at the lights on the wall she felt an unusual strain before looking away, now sure that it wasn't a residual effect from waking up. "Slight sensitivity to lights."

Attempting to match the neutral voice of this mysterious Owl she spoke in as monotone a voice as she could, her mind spinning trying to separate fact from fiction. It was certainly hard to tell where they were located. Her guess would be underground due to the slightly cool climate of the room, making it all the harder to locate where in the world this hole could be.

Tadara would listen quietly. She was straightforward and readily willing to give information on herself. An assortment of skills that made a good baseline for the average combat shinobi. Although he himself was not particularly apt at any of them save for non elemental ninjutsu. Even with that said he would be capable of getting to a certain level if they applied themselves. He may not be capable of most of what she would be but those who cannot do, teach. He understood the theory of ninjutsu to a level not unlike a scholar. He would be sure to advise Ren to provide scrolls to their library for those two elements. That was if she wanted her potential to be discovered. It was the defining trait in those who held a high point value. At some point in their lives they had been given purpose. For whatever reason, through loss or pride. Those people had chosen to overcome instead of being put down. Instead of letting their point value drop they had risen to the occasion. Their point values higher as they sought out their actual potential. With Ren as her master he had no doubt she would grow very strong. 

"You exhibit signs of a Concussion. A concussion can arise from the brain moving either rapidly back and forth or banging against the side of the skull. This sudden movement can stretch and damage brain tissue and trigger a chain of harmful changes within the brain that interfere with normal brain activities. I will attend to that. Slowly drink the water in the bottle that was placed next to you. It is important to hydrate."

Tadara would finish scribbling a couple more notes. Giving her a moment to either comply and drink some water or deny it with an obvious amount of time she wasn't going to change her mind. Then he would slip the notes into his snow chakra armor before rising from his seat. The masked man called Owl would calmly and with nothing special about the speed walk up to the girl. Weaving three hand seals at a D rank speed. Heaven-snake-dog. It was clear he wasn't displaying anything above an academy graduates level. Still he would let his right hand glow green before tenderly placing his finger on the back of her neck. The medical chakra moving along to any affected areas on her person. Slowly healing aching muscles and any residual damage from the knockout earlier. Relief likely flowing through her as he focused the medical chakra and held his finger there. However if she were running sensory, even though she would be able to feel his chakra affecting her, she would not be able to sense it even outside of him.

"You are a guest at the moment for the light. We are a group of individuals who have decided the bureaucracy of the villages no longer suited us. A sort of independent faction that focuses on protecting the world as a whole. To do such we each have had to find our potential. To raise above and ready ourselves for whatever might come next. One of us has seen potential in you Kudo Hattori. As such we would like to help you reach it. Or your memory of us will be wiped and we will return you home. For now you are exhausted. I will guide you to a room if you can stand. A meal will be provided and we can readdress this in the morning. For our own protection you will be locked in your room for the night. I do not know you....I have no reason to expect an exchange of trust has been achieved."

Jutsu used:

Things had certainly progressed faster and far more amicably than Kudo had hoped for upon understanding her position more completely. The bottle of water placed before her was no trick, it simply was as it looked to be. Nodding her head slowly after the quick rundown on concussions Kudo reached for the water before hastily downing half of it. Screwing the cap back on she allowed herself to be treated by the Owl, their glowing hand touching the back of her neck as they worked to heal her injuries. Her position was quite simple at the moment; being a guest to this organization with the apparent sponsorship from one of their higher ranked members. Parsing all this new information with her brief and still hazy encounter back in Iwagakure proved to be a mountain of a task. For the moment she figured her attentions were better spent to ward off the very real threats that any noncompliance was likely to summon. Nodding her healed head Kudo followed the Owl to the room she would be confined to. With nothing more than the Owl’s words to go off of to know if they were telling her the truth, she did have the fact of how they were treating her to go off of. Let’s hope this room doesn’t look eerily like a jail cell… There had been nothing that the masked individual had lied about as far as she was concerned, so she aired on the brighter side thinking it would be a real room.

The owl would lead the way down a corridor. There were closed doors of assorted rooms but the base itself was rather large. However there were no windows looking out. Perhaps the base was underground? It was unclear and meant to be that way. However he would seem oddly aware of her as anytime she moved differently his left hand would flex slightly. Not enough to be a threat but a muscle tense to prepare for any attack. A subtle thing but one of a trained assassin. He wouldn't speak as they walked however until they arrived at a wooden door. Not one that looked like it would be hard to destroy if that was the intention but it did have a bolt lock on the outside. He would open the door as he stood to the side. The lock obviously more of a formality as the door itself wouldn't hold under most jutsu. Still the room within had a comfortable looking queen bed, a dresser and a desk with an overhead fan/lights above. It was comfortable if not sparse with its own bathroom and shower in an adjoining room. A prison perhaps but comfortable. Still The Owl would step to the side revealing a plate of sliced bread, cheese and meat with a jug of water and a cup on the desk. Food and drink that wouldn't spoil. 

"My room is nearby. If you need anything simply knock on the door. I will speak with you again in the morning and we can proceed with either an assessment of your abilities or wipe your memories and return you home then."

As the pair walked through the empty hallways Kudo wondered how many members were a part of this organization and ultimately what their goal was. Some lines were fed to her about this group earlier, but she needed to see things with her own eyes to believe them. Lofty ideals too often were propped up with little more than words, the truth of her sleeping arrangements might shed some light on the intentions or unspoken truths of this group. To her delight the room looked to the furthest thing from a jail cell, or rather the furthest thing from the look of the furnishings. She would still be kept here, but treated with dignity and respect, even given a small desk with a portion of food atop it.

Nodding in agreement to the Owl she offered a small bow in thanks to her treatment. “Such amenities and treatment does not go unnoticed. I look forward to this assessment.” With that she would take her leave into the room, sitting down at the desk and nibbling on a corner of the cheese while continuing her deduction of fact from fiction.

Tadara would let his empty gaze settle on them a moment. They were calm given the situation but that could be mistaken for exhaustion. Too tired to fight. However if that were the case they were cooperative and cautious. Tadara had not had to threaten them but the one time and needed no display of his capabilities. They had accepted their situation and rolled with it. Some agents needed intense training to get that far. However he would see during the assessment. The comment about such things going unnoticed did not seem to change the stoic nature of the white masked man. Void of chakra of any kind and void of a soul too. He would say nothing as he closed the door and shifted the lock into place. He would turn and step away without much concern for the time being. He would of course keep eyes on them. From his sleeve a bee would emerge and crawl through a gap under the door. Barely big enough for it to squeeze through. Keeping tabs on them there from under the door. Tadara was able to observe data and remain calm as well. However there were the other two returning shortly. He would need to debrief and assess the next steps.

After finishing the meal prepared for her Kudo would lie down in the bed, eyes awake as her mind flitted from one though to the next keeping her from getting rest. She figured she’d need her rest for whatever came next, distressing as her position was there were far worse lots she could have found herself within the clutches of. The most likely possibility she kept circling back to was to somehow turn her into an agent of theirs and send her back to Iwagakure for some unknown purpose, perhaps gathering secrets or treasures. Things she knew nothing about. It had to be Sunagakure, who else could have such a vendetta against the stone? She pondered if there was anything to return to in the first place, there had been large scale destruction at the time of her abduction.

Her endless thoughts would do nothing to change her current predicament, opting instead to recite some of her favorite haikus to help lull herself to sleep as her parents would do in her youth.
