Hanabi's eyes avoided everyone within the building, even Ren, though they did widen once he stood up for her. She hadn't planned for him to really say anything let alone say anything herself. The Uchiha clan were who they were and she couldn't change that, let alone sway them to anyone. Her voice held no value like something on a scale or maybe too much value which would cause disorder within the clan.
Hanabi's amber eyes moved to Ren, seeing him stand up and speak on behalf of her. She crossed her arms, her index finger tapping subtly against her arm, a light blush going across her face from embarrassment. A rival speaking on behalf of the other.. The thought made Hanabi scoff but she couldn't help but to thank Ren afterwards. When Ren mentioned Tengoku saying the Uchiha would be moving to the Land of Wolves, her heart stopped for a moment, realizing what that would mean. She went to go say something but bit her tongue to prevent any commotion starting and a fight breaking out. "
Tch.." Her eyes remained on Ren, her brow furrowed with anger and her hand making a fist, nails digging into her palm. With the time between another defense against Hanabi and going onto the next topic, her anger calmed down but still visibly irritated. Her fists softened, indents of her nails left on her palm from where they dug in. Hearing Ren's thoughts towards Kimiko, more of questions that is, her head turned to Kimiko but she listened out for Neo's translator, Ancha. With Hanabi a tad bit calmer, her head began to nod, her eyes closing within her thought process, thinking of the best possible outcome. Kimiko being a traitor, even hunted would bring the Clan to a position where they were at risk of being affiliated and therefore treated as traitors as well. Her eyebrow raised a bit before her eyes shot open, looking to Neo as Ancha said Hanabi would be a good fit. Commotion happened with a bit of gasps, the members talking amongst each other. Her eyebrow twitched with embarrassment and she immediately replied to Neo's suggestion. "
Absolutely not." Her eyes struck through Neo, giving her a death glare. Hanabi would say that and remain quiet, hearing everyone first before speaking her thoughts.
Kimiko's turn began next, her thoughts on the whole situation as a whole with a bit of backstory as well. When Akihiro was executed, Kimiko wasn't even there, in fact sent out of the way. Hanabi's eyes became sullen, feeling that immense rage and sadness made Hanabi almost relate to her as she felt that way with her father's passing. Both from the cause of others actions. Kimiko had dire information and with that, nobody wanted to free her from the grasp of Konoha, as she stated, making her a prisoner. Kimiko had gotten into what most people would call the juicy parts of the story, explaining the exploit a few individuals came up with, taking Akihiro out with each one gaining something in return. Hearing another Uchiha take another's eyes made Hanabi step back just a little bit, causing her to shift her stance. A chill went down her spine, the hair on the back of her neck stood up. Just for power, an Uchiha would steal ones eyes and with no remorse. Hearing everything that Kimiko had said made Hanabi understand her decision even more. To leave without starting a fuss and to come back stronger to avenge her lover, she felt as though Kimiko would be someone she could confide in, even look up to. To hopefully learn from. Her favor shifted from Ren to Kimiko, swapping the two's stance in her own imaginary Line up.
As Kimiko continued her speech, her reasonings and what really happened, Akihiro's death was not matched for a crime he did, making Hanabi feel sick. Her hand went over her stomach, feeling discomfort within her, almost like she may have wanted to puke. Konoha's thought process made Hanabi think about everything towards who would be fit for Clan Lead. As a mutt herself, she wouldn't have a chance, being walked over constantly, unless she were to grow through the position of power within the clan. Her eyes glanced to Ren while Kimiko remained talking. Ren was stubborn, too analytical and would put his power first more over a logical thinking stance. His strength is his power as well as his flaw, making him successful in digging himself a hole. His strength would devour him, his arrogance would put him places no other should be. '
Sorry Ren but you just went lower than Neo' she thought to herself as her eyes followed the path of placing Ren's name after Neo, making her new line up accurate. Hanabi made a more confused face toward her own line up and then decided to switch it around all while listening to Kimiko. Kimiko's anger could also be a downfall but she was already in line to be the leader and has prior experience. With Neo mute, she wouldn't be able to successfully take over the clan but if she weren't, Neo would be a viable Clan leader, providing a logical and analytical stance when needed as well as being able to provide some combat experience to the clan. Her thought process layed on Hanabi once again. Think accurately...
Hanabi herself was like Neo, analytical and logical. As an outsider and someone with 'diluted blood', she may spark a change within the clan. She knows how to move around things, as well as the flaws within the clan better than anyone else except maybe Kimiko. The burning rage is what would be her only flaw and her strength. She wasn't strong, let alone able to even go up against Ren himself. Being apart of Tengoku's squad may also be useful to her though. Her line up changed once again and finalized it for this round of talking. When Kimiko was done talking, Hanabi's stance changed into a more confident boosting posture, her back straight, a hand on her hip and her sharp eyes glancing at the rest of them. "
I'll have to agree with Kimiko." She stated subtly. “
I will say my thoughts but do not take harm to what I say. These are my sole opinions and nothing more.”
"
All due respect, Ren, your lust for power and your confidence in strength would be your downfall, putting you liable for the clan if you became consumed by it, let alone an enemy taking that flaw of yours to your advantage. You are strong, do not get me wrong but you will be your own downfall. I think until you have honed your strength more and came to terms with it, I do not believe you would be a prime candidate for being clan leader." With this being said, whispers would be heard around, complaining about her input towards who would be clan leader. Some getting passed their feelings towards her and nodding their heads with her statement, gaining some approval. However that was only 5% of the room. Still too much for Hanabi's liking.
"
Neo.." Hanabi's eyes darted to her multi-colored friend and gave her a smile. "
If you weren't mute, your dedication and will would have been perfect to be clan leader. I think you would have been the change the clan needed for everyone, including myself. Neo, you would be the idealistic leader but because you're mute, that would be your downfall. People need to hear the words of a leader, from their own mouth." Her eyes softened, worried as to how that may have come out. "
But that doesn't make you unfit for anything else." She gave a soft smile before it disappeared and looking to Kimiko.
"
Kimiko, despite your hardships, I won't go against you being leader, however, what worries me is the amount of anger you have towards the village and maybe even the clan." Her voice trembling a bit as she gulped, scared of Kimiko herself. "
H-however, if we were to choose, I would pick you. You have the experience with the clan, let alone lined up to be clan leader. I just worry your anger will not be the downfall. Your anger can fend off foes, as well as your strength but when it comes to Konoha itself and within the clan, are you able to keep a composure to keep ties good." Her thoughts weren't to put pressure on her, let alone anger her, however these are the things she thought and felt as though it needed to be said.
"
As for myself, being someone with-.." Hanabi swallowed and cleared her throat. "
..Diluted blood, I feel as though..." Her eyes wavered to Neo then back at Kimiko. "
..I would be second to line up for Clan lead." She rubbed her arm out of nervousness, hearing the bunch of commotion from behind and around, some calling out the slur 'mutt' and more. She dropped her hand and raised her voice to over tower the commotion, with it soon coming down. "
IT does NOT MEAN, I would accept the damn position.." Now clearly irritated, her eyes closed and reopened. "
As someone who is deemed an outsider but still HAS UCHIHA BLOOD, I have seen what the clan is for who they truly are." Making reference to how she was raised. "
The Uchiha Clan would be benefitting to a Mutt-" Her voice emphasizing the word mutt itself, "
being leader. I am analytical, as well as logical but I too have my flaw of rage and strength. My worst of it are the scars I wear from enduring the issues and troubles the Uchiha put me through. My name were to continue to be Inuzaka, I would see why but I have CHOSEN to take on the Uchiha last name, as Ren stated, I am Hanabi Uchiha." Her voice boasted with confidence and full of determination, her eyes flashed a bright gold before her head turned to look at the people before turning back. As Hanabi stated, her scars were more than proof of their ways within the clan. They accessorized her body, unique to its own, along her arms, back, even some on her exposed thigh. "
I would be beneficial to lead due to knowing where the clan lies in flaws. We..- They, rather... fall into arrogance, hatred, supremacy.. Though we have our strengths in Dojutsu and Katon, we have work to do, especially with this newfound placing of the clan itself." She cleared her throat, now changing off the topic of her reasonings for the clans potential leaders.
"
Regardless of who takes the damn position, the relocation of the clan is unnecessary without the reasoning behind the relocation. As Kimiko said, the Hokage could be terrified of the Uchiha Clan and using this as an excuse of moving us out of the way. Do you even know why this is happening? What happens if we do move?" Hanabi raised her arms in a more subtle shrug while asking the questions. "
If we were to move, regardless of who takes position, we need to establish a protection plan while gaining shinobi from Konoha to the new land to provide proper defense. Whether it be a days away or even a couple of hours, time is vital of we go through with this. The clan could be compromised all while the Hokage stays here and plans to do whatever with this new space. Being secluded means all the more reason to go after us." Her eyes narrowed while looked and scanning the area more for reactions than anything.
