“I’m sure you being wrong isn’t a surprise to you anymore.” Shin would intone quietly, loud enough that Katsumi would hear, though unlikely that the children they would babysitting would hear… though perhaps with the exclusion of the eldest of the children they would be watching over. The youngest, according to the mother, would be the easiest one to keep occupied and Shin was inclined to agree, for it was easy enough to distract a child of her age for a while, besides their mother wouldn’t be gone for too long. The eldest was old enough that Shin presumed she would not require much supervision and would more likely be focused on her academy studies. The twin boys would likely be the ones that required the most supervision and they were definitely at that age where being rambunctious was in their nature. He would watch with curious eyes as the two boys would get into a discussion with Katsumi about wanting to wear his headband, Shin mostly stayed out of the conversation and was eventually passed the youngest of the four. He agreed that the youngest should be kept out of the way and would nod. Instead of the usual insult he would throw Katsumi’s way – he wanted to be a decent influence on these kids over the hour or so they would be watching over them – Shin would simply nod and take the girl into his arms. “I’ll let you three go have some fun. In the meantime, I’ll take the little one to grab a snack and find some toys.” Shin would say as he stepped back and walked back towards the house with the girl in his arms.

With a simple shake of his head, knowing that Katsumi was itching to provide a comeback, though one that would likely need to be heavily filtered around young children, Shin was amused when the other male simply kept quiet. With the little girl, whom Shin couldn’t quite remember the name of, in his arms, he would venture back to the house where the eldest of the four was located, who was still entirely consumed by her studying. With a quick glance to see what she was going over, Shin would continue his trek inside to keep the youngest of the four occupied while he was set to watch over them. Inside, Shin would make his way to the fridge and cabinets, attempting to figure out what to get the girl who had yet to utter a single word since he and Katsumi arrived. Once they entered the kitchen however, it was a different story, for the girl would lean her entire body away from Shin and aimed towards the fridge, chanting the word “Juice.” over and over again. Figuring out what the child wanted, Shin would grab her cup, one that was meant to prevent spills for a child that young, and would fill it with orange juice. Once the child was satisfied with her drink, he would then return back to the yard where Katsumi and the other three children were still located. For Shin, at least, the day would pass by uneventfully, with the mother eventually arriving back to relieve Shin and Katsumi of their mission.
