Mitsu was not so much a letter writing person. Which would explain why she had never written to her parents. It wasn’t that she didn’t care about them, she did care about them immensely. But also, they were full grown adults who she was certain did not require a letter for validation of her love. Just like she didn’t require one from them. She missed them of course, but she knew they still loved her and thought of her, just as she did them. Kage however did not have that sort of assurance. She had been sent here to Iwagakure by the Kazekage Azuma Asakaze more than one year ago. She wasn’t good at telling time either, and so in reality it was probably far closer to two years. She had been sent as a diplomat to negotiate an alliance with Iwagakure and Sunagakure. Which had been pretty successful. She would pen a letter and send it off to Sunagakure by pigeon from the aviary in Iwa.
Dear To the Kazekage,
I was sent to Iwagakure as a diplomat to secure an alliance between our nations, and due to the war I have been unable to send a report until now. I offer my deepest apologies for the lack of contact. Things are going well, I would say that our nations are intrinsically linked now. While here the Tsuchikage and myself were wed. It was a private affair, but very nice.
May the Universe watch over you,
Mitsukira Tatsudashi
