Mitsu is a lovely creature, her lithe but strong build clearly an indication of her training as a dancer. She is quite small, standing at only 5’4” with her hair almost white hair nearly the length of her body. She keeps her hair tied back when training and prefers clothing that allows ease of movement. Her deep red eyes are a testament to a bloodline long past and would look sinister were it not for the sparkling smile ever-present.
History: Mitsu was born to lower-class parents, who lived a fairly unremarkable life, in the vastly unremarkable desert. The only interesting thing about her birth was that it occured when her parents were both quite young, not even adults themselves. Her mother was a dreamer and as such gave her daughter an unusual name, in the hopes that her personality might be easily identified as her namesake. Mitsukira grew up with constant ‘team building exercises’ as part of her daily routine, which mainly consisted of going out into the desert with a shovel and looking for useful items. Other times it would be creating dances, dance being one of Mitsu’s true passions. Times were tough but the family was happy and together they led a peaceful, though hard working, life for many years.
When Mitsu was sixteen years old, the peacefulness of their life came under assault. For the most part the three of them had gone mostly unnoticed but as settlements began to be built up, the crime associated with large groups of people swiftly followed. After narrowly escaping a bandit raid, her parents began dedicating more and more time to training their daughter in the art of self defense. Neither of her parents were shinobi, however her grandparents on her mother's side had been and with some difficulty Mitsu’s mother taught her the basics of what she remembered. Mitsu showed an aptitude for the jutsu arts, specifically in being able to channel the elements while fighting with her signature weapons; razor fans.
Her parents made the decision to settle down in the tent city that would eventually become Sunagakure. It was not exactly what the three of them would have preferred, they all missed the freedom of travel, lying out at night and studying the stars, the excitement of going somewhere that perhaps no one had set foot on yet. But Mitsu’s parents knew that she needed training, they wanted her to be a free spirit but more than that they wanted her to be safe. They had spent the majority of her life teaching her to appreciate the beauty of the world, to replicate it in her hobbies and actions and temperament. And even they knew, sometimes safety required discipline.
Personality: Mitsu is, in a word, adventurous. She is an idealist, believing in the true beauty, wonder and love of the universe. She is the type to give second and third and infinite chances to anyone who wrongs her, her core moral values including the idea that no one is past redemption. She is exceedingly kind and patient, preferring to talk out issues rather than fight. She does try to take her training seriously, but will occasionally ignore it in favor of a spontaneous picnic or some other such distraction. She is hard working and will perform even the most challenging task with a smile on her face. Most people that met her would say she doesn’t have a temper, and for the most part they would be correct. The only thing that causes her to become unreasonable is when those she loves are threatened.
