Appearance:
History: At the beginning no one saw their love as forbidden. Sure the two were from different blood lines but most just assumed the blood wouldn't successfully match anyway. Even the sweetened summer lovers thought this. Mizuki Hozuki and her lover Keji Kaguya were the summer love straight out of a book. He found her reading under an apple tree deep in the forest alone on a day when the sun broke through the mist. He was charmed by the serenity of her presence. He started to spy on her day by day and for about a week she played along before inviting him out of hiding. Neither of them were enlisted in the shinobi ranks but as teenagers their hearts were wild. He made her laugh and brought her gifts he made from bones. Little flowers and tiny figures dancing. So quickly they fell deeply in love and soon under a full red moon the two made love as storms surrounded the island. Some may have suggested this was a warning to the end. That something wicked this way comes. But with fingers interlocked the two brought their love to the next level. Expecting nothing of it as their blood lines simply did not mix.
It was early in the year when this happened. Spring had just ended and now summer was well upon them. She was afraid but still she held strong as she told Keji she hadn't had her time of the month in a couple of months now. They were shocked and for a while kept it to themselves as they didn't know what to do. However once she began to show they couldn't hide it for long. When her parents found out they threw her from their house. Claiming what grew within her was unholy. When Keji turned to his family they simply told him one thing. It was his duty to make sure the child never drew breath. Horrified by the idea he fled and lived off the land with his love Mizuki. Through the summer nights they hunted and lived in a tent but even that would eventually be attacked. People had grown afraid of this abomination and in retaliation for fearing what they did not understand it wasn't uncommon the camp would be located and demolished. They rebuilt time and time again but the style of living and the stress was taking it's toll on Mizuki
It was a cold winter when her water broke. Out in the wild they struggled to get to clinic. The ruins of the camp left behind. Frostbite touching their toes and fingers. When the labor began Mizuki was already weak. The doctors said it was as if the baby was absorbing what little life she had. Sustaining itself and surviving. They managed to deliver the baby but not before Mizuki let out her last breath. Her dead eyes staring into the eyes of her young lover. Keji watched as she died with his hand holding hers. He didn't understand how the world could be so cruel. How his own family, her own family would let her die. How their love could produce something that would take her away from him. That was when he felt it. When Sero opened his eyes the nurse nearly dropped him. The lights in the room flickered and everyone present could feel it. They were in the presence of something truly evil. A beast born of a human woman but nothing beyond it's appearance could be considered human. Even holding the newborn child the people in the room questioned if it wasn't going to kill them too.
This was the snapping point for Keji. He had the memories of his clans decree flood back to him. How they had determined he must kill it. It wasn't too late he thought. He could avenge his lover and remove this threat to the world. This abomination. He pushed through the doctors and nurses and gripped his child by the neck. Staring at it through hate filled tears before chucking the baby at the wall. Security attempted to restrain him but he kept fighting through trying to finish the child. Crippled by the force of the impact. Keji was sure he had to finish it. A shinobi being treated fought him back but Keji was mad with anger. He wouldn't stop until a shinobi security team put him down for good. The baby of course was given treatment and named zero. But a Typo made it into Sero and everyone went with it. For 20 years he remained in the hospital. All his memories of fear and hate all around him. His body finally recovered enough to leave the hospital. A chance to start a new chapter in his life and prove one thing to all of them.
They were right to be afraid.
Personality: Sero isn't what one would consider human. Humans have a sense of morality. Sero has a sense of punishment. Humans have compassion, Sero has the hunt. He does not care for small details. Man, woman, child....all the same to him. Within his sense of justice those who would commit a sin must face the equal reaction to their sin. Murders are considered the height of his meaning. Murderers left to roam free must first learn to fear before they learn to regret. He believes pain and fear are the only teaching tools he needs and those who he would be sent to hunt are not meant to see another day.
For Sero all things break down into simple data. He understands the publics version of right and wrong but he finds himself to be a necessary evil in the modern age. He feels he was born with a purpose. That purpose being to torment the tormentors. To be the thing that goes bump in the night. He moves in silence like a phantom gliding in the mist and tracks his prey like a hungry beast. He doesn't ever seem to show much emotion but it is clear for anyone near him to feel one thing. He isn't human. He couldn't be.
Roleplay Sample: Cold blue eyes like the ice that covered the windows on the day of his birth would stare through the window on the bright summer morning. People coming and going but aside from his meal times and the unfortunate doctor checking his vitals none of them ever came here. None of them to the top floor of the east wing anymore. The paint had begun to peel on the walls of the abandoned section as nothing stirred. Even the lights outside of the room had long since gone out so it cast long shadows from the curtains left behind. Years had passed and he knew not the meaning of love or friendship. He had spent his life knowing of these people only as points of data for him to analyze. The closest he had to human connection were those who occassionally checked to see if he had not yet passed. They were ones who he defied. Death itself defied since the minute he had been introduced to this world. He survived his mother giving birth, and his fathers in vain attempt to steal his new found life from him. He understood now it was the clans who had abandoned him to this. The world who waited for him to die.
He had refused them though. the double wide windows had been stretched open after an hour of effort by his own hand as he sat once more in his hospital bed. Machines beeping away as they monitored his frail form. This was a prison. His body crippled by his own blood before he had a chance to grow. He would look from outside the window to his own pale hands in disgust. He didn't feel much pain but he knew he was capable of more. Isolation would have driven most mad but he simply understood it as time needed to grow and heal. To become like them outside. His shaggy hair fell about his face as he wondered if he had enough patience to make it. A startled sound caught his attention as a bird flew into the room before sensing a predator. Now in it's panic the pretty blue bird was flying wildly around the room bumping into things. Such a loud creature. But he could feel it. Feel it's fear of him and he understood. He was to be the monster that man feared. The thing that came in the night and brought death and torment in his wake.
He would watch the bird for a time. Breathing in it's fear and panic. He couldn't really get up to shoo it away after all. He was much too slow. He felt something welling up inside him though. Impatience with the small little pretty blue bird. It had intruded upon his sanctuary and now it squawked and squawked as if it wished for him to leave it be more so than he already was. So this was what fear did. It poisoned the mind and made the body do senseless things. All in an attachment to a sense of survival. It flew around bumping into things but one thing it knocked over. An old flower made of bone. It was said to be a gift his mother had been given from his father. Perhaps his only attachment to humanity. Aged and stained. It fell as the bird knocked it over. Descending to the floor and with a crack it broke apart.
As if something beyond human had arisen the shadows of the room deepened. The light from outside fading as the hospital felt the surge. Murderous intent causing fear to spread like wildfire through out the entirety of the east wing on every floor. When the darkness faded the bird was nothing more than a blood spot on the wall and a long bone like claw slowly sank back into Sero's back. He rolled his neck as his cold eyes took in the dead bird. So his patience had paid off. Only a slight smile touched the side of his lips as he gathered some clothes in his size. Black hospital sandals with black socks and white hospital pants, a black t shirt and a white doctors coat. He would struggle to walk to the elevator and breath heavily as he left the hospital behind of his own accord. No one attempted to stop him. No one dared get near him. Sero was a free man now. His body needed to get stronger but he had learned one important lesson. He was ready to kill.
