The Epsilon Eventuality
"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now." - Vinge Kurama
Background & Belligerents
In the Last of Frost, a splinter group of the Kurama clan that didn't travel to Kumogakure have managed to find Ancient Scrolls made by their Ancestors over the many nomadic years of the clans lifespan. Now, while some feel that the scrolls should be brought to the main clan for safekeeping, many others feel like their splinter clan is the new main clan, and want to take the scrolls for themselves. As such, war has broke out in the Land of Frost in perhaps the worst area for any Ninja: The Epsilon Range, an area of mountains and tunnels known for their powerful genjutsu effects.
Due to the many splinters, it has become an all-out battle for who holds the scrolls, and said scrolls often are changing hands rapidly, leaving the defenders and attackers to be constantly up in the air. Three major factions have popped up during all of this: The Black Hand, The Foehn Union, and the Tsukumogami. The Black hand believe in using the scrolls to recreate effects similar to the sharingan's Izanagi in both offensive & defensive ways, the Fohen Union wants use the scrolls to properly unite the body & minds of the Kurama's bloodline in a manner similar to a jinchuriki, and the Tsukumogami aim to use the scrolls to awaken the minds of objects, similar to Samehada. In order to achieve their goals these splinters clans have hired outside help to try and win this many-sided stalemate. Each village, and even Missing-Nin have a big incentive for helping out as it may decide where the Kurama's next seat of power may be, or at the very least some new jutsu thought to be lost to time.
Special Reward
The faction that wins this Theater of War will receive access to The Ancestral Scrolls of the Kuama, a set of Kurama-themed Exclusive Genjutsu techniques that anyone can learn, regardless of whether or not the user has the relevant skill(s).
In the case of a tie, the final mission will act as the tiebreaker. If this doesn't decide who the victor is, then the a simple 7th mission to fight for the scrolls with no background genjutsu effects will be created.

Relevant Plot NPCs Hoki Kurama
Mission Goal: Kill Hoki Kurama, get the scrolls, and don't go insane.
Description: The splinter factions have shrunk down, leaving very few remaining and they're all gunning for the final spot the Scrolls could have been left at: Rhan's Cavern, the cave where all Kurama go if they wish to become head of the clan. Hoki Kurama was last heard to have traveled there, and if rumors are correct he intends to destroy the scrolls to end the war. Orders have come down and one thing has been made clear: Hoki must be killed, and the scrolls retrieved. Each Splinter has made 1 final attempt to gain shinobi from their land to get the scrolls, but be warned; those who enter the caverns often leave with their mind's changed, and not often for the better. Victory is declared when all but 1 side is incapacitated. If all sides are incapacitated, the point will be awarded to the last faction that was standing, but no ryo will be given.
DISCLAIMER: This mission will live up to it's Rank. Anyone who enters, even a natural born Kurama will be under constant assault by genjutsu, acting like both an INT and CON poison that lowers them by (-) every post as long as they're in the cave. This debuff ignores the -2 tier debuff limit, stopping at E for CON as it won't outright kill you. Jutsu like Genjutsu Kai can pay a B-rank's worth of CP to reset the debuff. Being knocked out will reset the debuff. Bring your A-game people.
Payment: 150,000 | All parties, win or lose, will receive a permanent (+) UA Buff to Intelligence & Perception against Genjutsu.
Maximum Number of Participants: Up to 6, 3 min. (2 per faction)
Conclusion
The war had gone on longer then any side had planned, but in the end, it was the Black Hand who stood victorious and gained control of the clan's scrolls in a near one-sided victory practically lead by the Kurama Clan leader himself, Mōtimā Midori-Okō Kurama.
Despite the Fohen Union's attempts to get out their mole within the Tsukumogami with the help of Ari Dokuma early in the war, Chen Kimyōnakama managed to capture the mole and brought him to the Black Hand. A month or so later the at-the-time Chunnin Mort fought against the Jinchuriki of the Five Tails Sero Jaakuna, a monster in his own right due to his twin lineages. They both were sent out to Damian's Drainway, an area where Genjutsu was useless to secure the area. Being supplied by gear from his late mentor Ryuko, Motima managed to subdue Sero, but at the cost of the dam and a lot of the surrounding landscape.
A year passed, with the war being at a stalemate with no signs of the scrolls popping up. Those in charge during the start of the war had changed, yet it was like time had stopped in the Land of Frost, stuck to keep fighting their war. But then new info came up, and two combatants returned to the Frozen Range once again to incercept important supplies. Ari Dokuma, now with the eyes of her deceased teammate fought against the Head of the Kurama himself, Motima Kurama. The battle looked to be in Dokuma's favor for most of he battle, but a lucky shot gave Mort the victory. Soon after Mort found himself facing her teammate, Ashitaka Inuzuka Senju, as the both searched for Rahn. However, like before Mort took down the Senju after a difficult battle, allowing him to capture Rahn and give the Black hand the final piece to locate many of the ancient scrolls. While a few scrolls still remain hidden, The Black Hand in the end were the victors, allowing them to continue their research in recreating the Izanagi & Izanami for the Kurama while keeping the Kurama clan located within Kumo's borders.
This Theater of War is officially considered completed. Others may take the remaining missions for storyline & individual mission rewards. However, these latecomers will be ineligible for the Special Reward granted by this Theater of War.
Victors: Motima Kurama & Chen Kimyōnakama will each receive a copy of the Ancestral Scrolls of the Kurama and the jutsu enscibed within.
