As the chūnin exams labored on Tōri began to grow worried with Airi's absence and decided to take action in order for his village to not stagnate any further than it had of late. Writing a letter addressed to the daimyo of the Land of Fire as well as the village elders of Konoha informing them of the situation and the course of action he would now be taking.
After penning his signature at the bottom he made his way to his pet griffon and handed the important letter over. With a nod and a mighty flap the winged beast made its way towards Konoha. With a heavy sigh he began thinking of all the additional responsibilities he was signing on for with this single act, one that likely would garner the attention of less-than-friendly forces that worked to destabilize long-lasting villages such as his. Thankfully he was able to learn much under the ever-bold Airi, curious as her antics might have been there was no denying the skill and wealth of helpful assistance she had provided not just him but the village as a whole. It should be a rare thing indeed for any amongst the newest generation who hadn't been personally trained by the red-haired shinobi, a presence the leaf was certain to miss.
