Nariko had sent some of her ANBU to help defend Shimogakure while her plans were being ironed out and moved into fruiton, and true to their skill, they had arrived in the village quite fast. While they weren't the 50 odd ninja that had previously existed here, they were each more talented than anyone the village had previously.
They began shoring up the defenses immediately, and started recruiting for Shimogakure's forces. They had some training to start up if the nation was going to have any chance of defending itself in the future.
