As Innocence went and glared back at Hibiki, her eyes were practically boring holes in the older girls face. But even exposure to this potentially lethal stare elicited no reaction from Hibiki. She stood there blithely, unaffected. Some that knew the lab coat-wearing girl was an Uchiha might attempt to avoid such a withering gaze at all costs. But it failed to work on Hibiki. In fact, it seemed doubtful that she even realized that Innocence was glaring at her. Not when her limited brainpower was occupied trying to follow along with what Airi was saying
Short and sweet indeed. From what Hibiki could gather they were to use the green bill in the bag to equip themselves for the exam. Was this that money stuff again? Frankly she wasn’t sure if 200,000 was a lot or only a little. She’d had no idea what to even use the ryo she had accumulated already, at least not until now. Apparently if she exchanged some with this Kiyoshi fellow at this cosmic something or other place he would give her stuff she could use for fighting.
Should she really rely on some stranger to make her everything she needed? Perhaps it would be best to use some of her own funds she had been given. If she recalled correctly, her friend Nakaba made some pretty cool gear himself. He was like a wizard, somehow splitting between two bodies at the same time. Would he accept an exchange of these bills for goods? She’d never know if she didn’t give it a try.
“Hold up Nakaba…” She called out in an attempt to prevent him from leaving now that Airi was done speaking. Partly because she had a question to ask Airi that she figured he might need to hear the answer to, and partly because she wanted to try requesting some equipment from him.
“Don’t ninjas typically work in…” She paused for a second, unable to come up with the proper terminology. “...Packs.” she said for lack of a better word. Even when she had been a test subject and a child soldier she could barely recall a time she had been on the field on her own, except of course the couple of times when she’d been the only survivor on her side.
“We are all from the same village. The same team. Shouldn’t we be working together as much as possible?” She guilelessly asked everyone in the room. If this was a meeting shouldn’t they be using it to discuss how to pass the exam together?
“Let’s start by introducing ourselves. I’m Hibiki Mercury, age 16. I just had my height measured and it was 170.18 cm. My weight is…. I’ll tell you when we’re better friends. My Hobby is saving people and my favourite things are food and more food.” She explained some personal details about herself passionately like the airhead she was when she probably should have been talking about more tactical information like her fighting style.
