Time to train to be a hero! Empty Time to train to be a hero!

Post by Tsumi Thu Nov 17, 2022 2:12 pm

Tsumi had spent enough time recovering in the hospital over the last couple of years and had honestly grown tired of it. His hair had shifted from red to white at some point in his coma and as far as he could tell he missed his opportunity to be a hero. The war involving Kumo had come and gone and then a grand battle had broken out at some floating city. How it floated was beyond him but he figured it was some kind of magic. He had been stuck in that bed for so long doing stupid stuff like learning how to read and addition and subtraction. They seemed shocked at how long it took him to grasp those but he figured if it made them happy. They 'claimed' it was needed to function daily but he disagreed. His protein powder subscription kept him fed and took the same amount from his account every month so why would he need to know how to spend money? But he did as they asked...even if he still slipped in a hundred push ups...a hundred sit ups...a hundred lunges....a hundred pull ups and a hundred hand stands. He had to keep his body fit after all.

Still they had caught him and released him. Stating that if he wasn't going to follow their bed rest schedule he may as well go home. To which he had. Finding his home/apartment had done nothing but collect dust and cobwebs for two years. So he had put on some rubber gloves and an apron and set about to cleaning for two days. At least his protein had continued to be delivered so he had stockpiled his kitchen with it...literally the whole kitchen was just gallon jugs of different flavors of protein powder and the sink with a huge cup for it. So he canceled his subscription for the time being and after two days everything was clean. On the third day it was time to get back to real training. Luckily for him he was technically rich so he didn't have any issues with cost of living. Not to mention Ryuko had supported his hospital stay though she was missing. His sensei was gone and so was his friends from the look of it. Even his cousin. Well he couldn't simply get depressed and wallow. He needed to get out there and train again. He could still become a Hero.

Still he would dress in an outfit left for him by one of his aunts. Black shinobi pants with a cool hydra head for the belt buckle and boots. However the black and purple button up shirt with the turned up collar didn't fit right. The buttons didn't reach far enough around his muscles but...well he would still wear it open just because he didn't want her to feel bad. With that done he would chug some cherry protein drink before dashing out the front door. Not even bothering to lock it. His red horns matching his red eyes as they poked out of his white messy hair. Tsumi would sprint through the village as fast as he could. Watching his breathing as he would run through the village for a couple of miles before reaching the royal training facility. It looked like it hadn't been in use for a long time but there was still an attendant surprised to see him. They would check him in and direct him to room one before calling their coworker. Someone was utilizing the training facility! It was an exciting day for them to finally have customers again after so long.

Tsumi would rush into the room assigned to him and find it to be a large one. Inside there were training dummies rolling on tracks and spinning to create an attack to avoid. The air was warm and the setting resembled a city under siege. Broken buildings and debris spilling onto the streets. Like a warzone. He would smile a bit as the door closed behind him and walk out onto the street in front of him. Boots clicking as he admired the craftsmanship. Finally he would pause and drop down to do some stretches. It wouldn't do to get a cramp on his first day of training...still the dummies were a little lack luster for him. Oh well...at least he was training again. Maybe Ryuko would be proud.

Kitsumi would be walking through the streets of Kumogakure, taking in the sights of the village as he did so. His black leather and fur coat hanging over his shirtless torso its steel pauldrons shining as they reflected the sunlight off of them, his black pants and boots made of the same black leather as the coat. His sword would be strapped to the right side of his hip, for easy access with his left hand to draw it, though as he walked his right hand would be resting upon it mostly out of habit from his previous years as a guard for the main house of the Ryuzoji clan. There was so much that had changed since he was last awake, yet there were also so many things that seemed to stay the same. He was stopped at a small apple stall in the market, his crystal blue eyes browsing for a good one to snack on when his Denkanryu would pick up the sudden movement of an electrical current passing through his passive range at a rapid pace, 'wonder what the hurry is about.' Kitsumi thought to himself before activating the tracking range on his Denkanryu extending it from the passive ten meters to fifty meters as he moved to follow. He didn't get a good look at the person, they were moving far too fast for that, but he would be able to keep track of the electrical current of the person and follow them where they were going, or at least he hoped he could keep up with it. As luck would have it though the electrical current stopped just before it got out of range. 'wherever they were going they must of made it.' The silver haired man thought to himself as he continued to move towards the location where he was sensing the current. As he drew closer, he would see a magnificent building that he had not seen the last time he was in the village. The building was out of this world, or at least to the young Ryuzoji it was, never before had he seen such craftsmanship. Sensing that the electrical current of the person he was following had entered the building, the silver haired man would follow suit and approach the entrance to the building.

As he entered, he would see the staff busying themselves with work, though he could feel their eyes fall on him. After a few questions and answers would be exchanged as well as some Ryo, Kitsumi would be directed to the room at the end of the hall. As he walked his right hand would idly rest upon the blade on his hip, it quietly vibrating and humming in his hand. It would do him some good to get some training done, and it seemed that he would have to think the person he had been tracking for leading him to this place, though he doubted he would use the word track. As he drew ever closer to the source of the current, he had been sensing he would drop the active tracking of his Denkanryu and return it to its passive ten meters. Opening the door Kitsumi would be met with his tracked target, and what he saw was a rather unique looking individual with horns that appeared to be doing stretches. He had heard of such individuals living within Kumo but had not met one before. After a brief second pause, the man would finish entering the room and allow the door to close. "My apologizes if I am interrupting, my name is Kitsumi Ryuzoji. I saw you running through the village and followed you here, didn't even know this place existed to be honest." The silver-haired man stated with a small chuckle, before adding. "I just wanted to say thank you for leading me here, and I will let you get back to your training." His voice would be calm and collective, with a hint of his aristocratic upbringing in his tone as he spoke. Kitsumi would give a small bow before stepping away from the man, the room was large enough for them both to train so he would give the man some distance unless he stated otherwise. Pulling his Super-vibrato sword from its sheath, Kitsumi would begin going through some of his motions of his Kenjutsu style with his blade.

There were a number of things that Lightnign didnt particularely like, such as for example ample amounts of sun and and rain alike. Likewise however there were a number of things that Lightning liked a lot, such as training and and even eating at certain times. Regardless a combination of a negative and a positive aspect always would end up making the result a net negative for her. After all, if one was sitting out in the rain and was eating, their memories of that partifular meal would always be associated with the rain and therefore an unpleasant experience.

Such a situation was today. Lightning knew that she had to train, but she didnt like how sunny it was today in the slightest. As such, her journey for the perfect trainings spot had led her directly into the arms of the silver haired Kumokagure shinobi and what seemed to be his friend from afar. Approaching them with wide steps she would eventually halt in front of them and give Kitsumi a wave as she greeted them: "Hey there Kitsumi... hey there stranger!" Before looking at Kitsumi and starting to converse with him: "Whats bringing you here today? Training with your friend?"

Afterwards her gaze would fall onto the other man. Mustering him up and down, taking in his physical appearance, Lightning would wonder to herself who this person was. Or of what clan they were rather. As far as she knew, people like her and Kitsumi were plenty in the village hidden in the mountains. People like Tsumi however...

It appears that Yasuka is the last to arrive at the Royal Training Grounds; what's more, she arrives with her hands full of scrolls again, this time some serious-looking ones from the Inazuma clan records. She had been planning on learning Ranton techniques somewhere where she could maybe hide out from others for a few hours while she did some training. With the sunlight nice and bright today, she figured it would be more likely for most other ninja to be out in the usual training grounds, and not in the Royal Training Grounds of Kumogakure. Much to her surprise and a bit of chagrin, she actually runs into three people, two of whom she knew and one of which was a complete stranger to her. She recognizes the horns on his head, just not personally; it was one of the marks of a specific Kumogakure clan. Just to confirm... Yes, even from this distance, she could see that his eyes were an intense coloration that definitely confirmed him at least as belonging to the Yokai clan. Beyond that, she had no idea who he was, only which clan he belonged to. One had to know most of the major players in Kumogakure in order to be aware of all the political moves that could take place.

Yasuka figures she might as well bring attention to herself before Lightning did and chose to embarrass her in front of Kitsumi. She dropped off her scrolls delicately in a pile a few feet away from the door so anyone else coming into the training room wouldn't end up tripping over them on their way in, and then she wrapped both arms around Lightning's left, and then giving the other woman a surprising kiss on the cheek.

"Ah. Hello Lightning. Hello Kitsumi Ryuzoji."

Her eyes move over to the Yokai clan member, but nobody has introduced him to her, and it would be rude to simply stare and not say anything, despite the fact that his musculature was somewhat intimidating. It really seemed like Kumogakure was almost exclusively made up of combat specialists, rather than long-range strategists like herself... a fish out of water no matter where she goes or what occupation she chooses in life. Oh well. Yasuka unwraps herself from Lightning's arm in order to approach the other man and extend her right arm out to him.

"Hello there. I'm Yasuka of the Inazuma clan. Pleasure to meet you."

Time to train to be a hero! Empty Re: Time to train to be a hero!

Post by Tsumi Fri Nov 18, 2022 8:04 pm

Tsumi was mid stretch when a voice rung out behind him. The man hadn't been attempting to be stealthy in the slightest but Tsumi hadn't expected anyone at all to show up. Tsumi would about jump out of his skin. Visibly jumping a little off the ground as a shiver ran up his spine. His red eyes quickly glancing behind him wide with surprise. However he could not have been prepared for what or rather who he saw. A man named Kitsumi. Tall dark and handsome was personified by this guy. Dark attire with armor and long silky silver hair and eyes that pierced through Tsumi. A sword he drew and a way of speaking that was just so intoxicating. Reminding Tsumi he had forgotten his own gauntlets at home. A brief realization before red eyes would widen in awe and a smile would creep across his face. Forgetting to respond entirely for the moment. This guy was so god damn cool. He just gave off waves of awesome and all Tsumi could think of was how incredible it would be to fight him. He didn't doubt the guy was strong nor did he care of he was crushed by the guys power. He just wanted a spar.

However to top things off Tsumi would be dumbfounded to find the guy wasn't alone. Kitsumi was soon joined by some chick with pink hair and piercing eyes would arrive. Casually chatting up the guy and calling him stranger. A question was directed at the man about him but that was about it. He was still standing there slightly dumbfounded but slowly regaining himself. He was about to speak up when yet another woman would arrive. His red eyes would blink as it shifted between the three. He felt a little out of place since they all clearly knew each other. This one carried a bunch of scrolls with her to which Tsumi was immediately impressed. She was clearly good at reading. He had to mouth out the words when he read and sometimes sound them out out loud or use the dictionary. She would name the other lady Lightning and go immediately to cling to her arm. Tsumi would blink again at all of it. His mind still wrapping around it. They were...friends? Or a couple? A triple Relationship even?! He knew the word for this ...it was...uh...Polygon!

Still one of them who he had not heard the name of yet approached him and he realized his mouth was a little open from just staring and observing. He would suck the spit back into his mouth from the edge of his lips and swallow before she made it to him. Holy shit someone was talking to him that wasn't a doctor! This was his chance. An opportunity to make friends! Oh man she was talking! Shit...she introduced herself right? He was sure he heard her name but he would reach out and clasp her forearm and lightly grip it. Shaking it once with a broad smile on his face. He was being gentle and it was obvious he wasn't trying to squeeze. But for her it would be like shaking forearms with a statue. A gentle statue but solid like marble. His red eyes dancing between all three as he released her after just one shake. He was clearly awkward about interacting with others.

"Yo uh....Yasu. I'm Tsumi. Future super hero and uh. Oh right...I am a Yokai. You all here to like train and shit? Cause like if you all don't mind I could spar ya. One on ones or all three I don't much mind. Ain't to concerned with winnin ya know? My master Ryuko always used to go pretty hard on me so I can take it!"

Time to train to be a hero! Empty Re: Time to train to be a hero!

Post by Kitsumi Sat Nov 19, 2022 6:17 am

With his range on his Denkanryu lowered he almost didn't sense Lightning approaching until she came into view, though her familiar electrical current would draw his attention to her just as she called out to him. "Hello, Lady Lightning." Kitsumi replied before looking to the other man who seemed to be stunned into silence, Kitsumi seemed to scare him when he had arrived, but the man still seemed frozen. When she said something about his friend, Kitsumi would let out a small laugh. "Well yes I did come to train, I sort of followed this fellow here. Though I don't believe we are friends, considering we never met." He would lean in a little closer to Lightning and whisper, "I think I broke him," as he kept his crystal blue eyes on the man. He could sense the electrical current of the man, so he knew he was alive though why he had yet responded Kitsumi had no idea. Shortly after Lightnings arrival the familiar and erratic current of Yasuka would be sensed by Kitsumi, the Inazuma had a unique electrical current, one that was easily distinguished from others. The fact that he spent time with them both just the day before, allowed him too fully identify every electrical pulse they had, though Yasuka still had some randoms that he didn't predict, he would still be able to pick her out of an Inazuma line up with just his Denkanryu.

When Yasuka wrapped her arm around lightning and kissed the other woman on the cheek, Kitsumi was mildly surprised considering the fact that when he met the pair, she acted differently about it. Perhaps she was more comfortable now that they knew each other, whereas before they didn't. Though it would explain why the two of them seemed to be together so much. "Hello, Lady Inazuma." Kitsumi would say with a small head nod. As Yasuka introduces herself, it seemed to break whatever state Kitsumi had put the man in when he had arrived. Shaking Yasuka's hand and introducing himself as Tsumi a future hero, which would cause Kitsumi to crack a smile at the thought. The man certainly had a mouth on him, using a word that Kitsumi would not use in such company, but at least he wasn't dead. The man became interesting when he mentioned Ryuko was his master, to have been trained by the Queen the man surely had to be powerful. Even still to boast that he could take all three of them on, either this man was extremely confident in his abilities, or he was an idiot, Kitsumi wasn't sure. Though he could hardly pass at the chance to test his skills against someone trained by the Queen.

"Well, I cannot speak for the ladies present, however I would accept you challenge, though I warn you that sword style revolves around one thing, to kill my opponent." Kitsumi would talk a big game, though the truth was this was the first time he had drawn his blade in five years. He had hoped he would get some practice with it today, though he did not expect it to be against another person, at least not yet. Though he would not outright try to kill another shinobi from the village, and would stop should something happened during the spar, he felt the need to say it out loud incase the man got injured. The last thing Kitsumi needed was to get introuble for sending someone to the hospital.

Lightning would watch Kitsumi speak to her and give an acknowledging nod towards him as he acknowledged her and explained the situation. Standing still and listening in further, even when Kitsumi cam ecloser towards her, whispering in her ear the possibility of having overloaded the other mans capacity to go through sensory inputs, she would slightly chuckle as she gave out "Oh i know the right way to fix a man..." only to be interrupted by another voice.

Lightning s head would spin around to the source of the noise, that being Yasuka, greeting her, which promted the immediated, and almost instinctive response of "Oh hello serv-... err, Yasuka. Hows it going", mustering her for a few moments in a very perceivable way that was sure to make the Inuzuma know that Lightning s eyes were set on her.

Regardless of that, as soon as Kitsumi gave out his agreement on the given challenge, Lightning would shrug as she stated: "I dont mind it, whough i am not good in fighting... Up to you two....", with a nod at Kitsumi and Yasuka, before adding after a short break: "Just tone it down with that sword of yours. I wanna go home and not be carried to the hospital, thank you."

While lightning didnt really mind the boys looking who had the longer "things" she didnt mind engaging in it. It was still rather wierd. So many people that and the first thing he did was to invite all three of them to fight him. What a interesting way to greet people at the very least.

Yasuka gives Tsumi a slight smile of encouragement when he finally does shake her... forearm? What an odd greeting, especially when she'd offered him her hand. She was caught off-guard for a moment, but she mentally recovered enough to grip his forearm in return for the firm up-and-down motion of the single "handshake"; it was really more like the kind of greeting someone would do in olden times, long out of fashion these days. She was also lucky she'd offered him her right arm; if he'd gripped her left forearm incorrectly, he could have ended up with a senbon in his arm from the senbon launcher on her left wrist. Still, the genin didn't bring attention to his awkward response to just an introduction, especially the bit about him being a "future super hero", although it did take some restraint not to poke holes in his self-description. It wouldn't be particularly polite to do so.

Yasuka lets Lightning and Kitsumi answer, and with their agreements, she is going to have to agree as well. She gives one quick wistful look at her scrolls, but she can always take them out to the Royal Training Grounds again later. Sparring is more practical training, in any case.

"Hello, Tsumi. Sure, we could do a some light sparring."

She accentuates the word "light" while she's looking in Kitsumi's direction. It really just doesn't make sense to go all-out against a fellow shinobi, although she somewhat assumed that Kitsumi wasn't outright declaring that he would try to kill Tsumi in a simple spar. Yasuka turns back towards Tsumi and gives him a little smile before she moves back to stand between and behind Kitsumi and Lightning, standing with her feet shoulder-width apart. She reaches forwards and up to lightly tap on Kitsumi's spaulder with the palm of her hand, muttering to him a bit louder than necessary.

"Would it kill you to maybe buy a wooden sword sometime, specifically for training? Or use a stick?"

Regardless, she removes her hand from his shoulder so she can hold her arms out in front of her, hands ready to begin performing handseals as she gathers up her chakra. Yasuka swears that the more she does it lately, the easier it's starting to get, but it could be her mind is playing tricks on her.

    "We're ready when you are!"

Time to train to be a hero! Empty Re: Time to train to be a hero!

Post by Tsumi Sun Nov 20, 2022 1:29 pm

Tsumi would place his hands on his hips after releasing his grip on the girl. His pose obviously designed to look heroic but there was excitement in those red eyes. Excitement that reached a fanged smile. Yet something about him just felt friendly despite his devilish appearance. It appeared that he was calm and there were no visible or otherwise indications of unwarranted violence. Not a hint of bloodlust to him. Still he would listen to each of them as they spoke and his red eyes would shift over to Kitsumi. Concern in them before he raised a hand to lift a finger and let it wag back and forth. Speaking plainly and honestly to the man as if he was in the right somehow.

"Hey now! Killing is bad okay? Everyone is someone's son or daughter and life should be respected. You should never ever take a life. An enemy should be brought to justice by arresting them and giving them a fair trial. That said I haven't had a whole lot of experience against swords....would you three give me a minute please?"

Tsumi would look around in thought a moment. Contemplating how to handle an armed opponent. Sure he could punch him in the nose but that didn't mean he could handle a sword right? Spotting something in a ruined building though he would go from looking lost in thought to excited. Walking over to the destroyed stone building nearby. It appeared a line of rebar was sticking out of the stone. His hands would reach out and grip two of them before he grit his teeth and heaved. The sound of stone cracking echoing across the street before it broke apart and released the two rebar rods. Meant to hold up buildings he was sure it could block a few sword strikes. The smart thing however would have been to maybe lend the rebar to the man to use in place of a sword. However Tsumi was not bright.

Instead Tsumi would put in a great deal of effort and bend the rebar slowly around his left forearm first in a spiral and around his fist like the gauntlets he forgot to bring. Once that was finished he would do the same to his right forearm and hand. With bracers and gauntlets essentially fashioned by sheer strength he would give a couple test jabs at C coordination before shifting to hop up and down on one foot. It seemed the nice girl who had shook his arm had retreated behind her friends. Well it was split three on one after all. Ahh man he was so going to lose but hey...he would have fun. Still he would shift to a slow bounce. Keeping on his right foot with his left foot lifted slightly so only his toes hit the ground with each bounce. A strange but quick style. But nothing official yet. Still he would call out to them with a friendly voice.

"Alright you three! Thanks for waiting. Uh...I don't know your preferences so...like....you can come at me whenever guys!"

Time to train to be a hero! Empty Re: Time to train to be a hero!

Post by Kitsumi Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:43 pm

Kitsumi would look down at his sword as everyone seemed to have something bad to say about him using it, even Yasuka asked him to buy a wooden sword. What good was a wooden sword? Wood is blunt, you can't cut things with something that's blunt. The horned man wagged his finger talking about how killing was wrong going on to say stuff, but all Kitsumi heard was "if you don't just kill your enemy, you have to do a lot of boring work that did not involve the simplicity of the sword."

In reality, Kitsumi had never sparred with anyone that didn't wield a sword, but of course all Ryuzoji learned the art of the sword and that was who he sparred with, it was just the way. Kitsumi would turn to face Lightning and Yasuka while the man asked for a moment, "So um, my skills are kinda tied to my sword. I don't know if I would be any use without it, it might be better if I just sit this out."

Almost as he said this, he would hear the sound of stone and metal being ripped apart would draw Kitsumi's attention back to the horned man. Kitsumi would watch as Tsumi would curve the rebar around his fists with just his strength, causing him to second guess himself in staying out of the fight. Looking back to Lightning and Yasuka, "you know. On second thought, I will just use the sword." He states with a grin, it would only be fair considering the man had just made his own version of a defense for his sword. Though he doubted it would hold against the blade if he flowed chakra into, he wouldn't of course as he wasn't actually trying to kill the horned man. Whether this man was strong enough to fight all of them or not would not really matter to Kitsumi, the challenge was laid, and they accepted it.

Kitsumi was by no means a strong or fast person, even his sword skills left things to truly be desired. Though he did have one thing, his mind. Kitsumi was a strategist, it was something he had always been good at, so he just needed to figure out the man's weakness and then exploit it. Considering the fact that there were three of them their chances were already in their favor. With a brief glance back at the other two before keeping his eyes on the horned man, Kitsumi would ask very plainly. "How do you guys wanna do this?"

Lightning would chuckle ever so slightly as she heard the banter between Kitsumi and Yasuka, finally shrugging ever so slightly as she gave out. "You know your sword has a dull side too, right? Just spam him real good with it. Or... use some chakra flow."

With that, she would draw her own sword, placing both hands on it as she mustered her appearent enemy. They certainly looked strong, and seeing how he had offered them to spar against him at the same time, either he was extremely strong or a giant largemouth. Seeing how Lightning knew people she wsa thinking about the forst being more accurate then the latter. After all. No sense in getting beaten up by 3 other shinobi.

Looking back at Kitsumi, Lightning would go closer towards him as she whispered: "You know, we could always try to just overwhelm him. After all, he might be better then us, but we are more of ourselfes then he is. And if one of us lands a strike, the other one will do just fine in landing one too."

Stopping in her sentence and looking at yasuka, mustering her she would finally say in a bit louder voice: "Even if it would be more effective if we all were able to use swords. Just make sure you arent hitting us, alright?"

Facing tsumi now she would call out in a louder voice: "Well, are you readied up over there?"

Yasuka starts to frown when Kitsumi suggests that he sit this spar out, but then the sound of metal ripping from concrete and then being bent and twisted silences her, and she looks to Tsumi to see that he'd managed to fashion himself a metal wrapping for his arm from rebar. The color drains from her face a bit as Kitsumi seems to change his mind about sitting out on what had, at first, appeared to be quite a one-sided sparring session.

Then comes the time to talk strategy, with Lightning speaking up first, suggesting that the two of them overwhelm him alone before Yasuka rolls her eyes at the suggestion. Although she can barely hear the whispers, she can mostly guess every other word from Lightning at this point, with her brash demeanor and eagerness to beat her fellow genin. The genin almost agrees with Lightning's assessment, although she dislikes the suggestion that she'd be hitting either of them.

"If he can do that to rebar, he can do that to your spine. You two can likely keep him busy without getting your swords broken by his grip, at least; all I really need is for him to not decide that I look like an easy target. I'm good with ninjutsu... You two just need to not get directly between me and him, and I should be able to zap him down. Even better, Lightning; you can hit him with that chakra flow you like so much. Kitsumi, all you have to do is duck when I give the signal."

Yasuka forms the first handseal of the technique she's already planning on using; the Tiger handseal first, already beginning to gather chakra for herself as she nodded in Tsumi's direction.

Post by Tsumi Tue Nov 22, 2022 6:06 pm

Tsumi would shift his weight back and forth with almost innocent red eyes watching them as they talked. To him rebar bending was to be expected of a hero. He actually thought it was common for construction workers to do the same thing or equal to what he just did to finish a building. After all why make a tool to do a job when people can just barehand rebar and cement? He didn't really understand just how strong he was. After all he had mostly trained with a Kage a bit and she had said he could possibly hurt her if he pushed as hard as he could. He wasn't even using a technique yet so he figured this was an appropriate level. Although he was nervous about underestimating them. He felt he may have been a little boastful when suggesting a three on one but really he just wanted to have fun and train with others. Besides even if he lost maybe he would make friends. People who trained together in his comic books grew closer and became good friends and rivals. Maybe they were the dark heros and he was there to put them on the right path. Yeah that sounded good.

Still he would blink as the two girls insinuated or straight up claimed they were ready. Well that was good. He was worried that they would change their minds. He had no idea how much of a threat he was. Still he would give a thumbs up through the rebar wrappings and then take a breath. Filling his lungs before letting out a sharp exhale. He didn't really care about gender in a fight nor did he intend to target any one of them specifically. Instead he would try and target all three. On the sharp exhale he burst forward at full speed of C++. Covering fifteen meters in half a second at thirty meters a second. The ground where he had been standing left cracks where he took off with imprints of his boots. A cloud of dust flying out behind him at the sudden pace. The battle had begun and as of yet Tsumi had not used a drop of chakra. This was just his basic bodies capability.

His muscles tensed as he prepared to strike at the end of the charge. Those rebar fists flying forward in a double fist attack. One fist flying at the stomach of both Lightning and Kitsumi with C rank coordination. Yet for Tsumi all this was just a normal speed for him. Just like his normal strength was B+ so even if they managed to block him....even together it wasn't unlikely that they would fly back into their team mate. He didn't know who to target so he was attempting to gather all three up into a nice grouping by essentially bull rushing them. However he was simply prodding the fence so to speak. Remembering his teachings to prod a bit and test the limits of his opponents before committing to a serious attack. He had not used a stance for the attack. Just raw power.

Hearing the two woman respond that they were ready Kitsumi would activate his close combat sensory, focusing on the man in front as his target to increase his coordination. It would lower his awareness of the others, but they were not his opponent.  He felt a surge of the electrical impulse within the man's body, just before he nearly disappeared from sight. In less than a second the man was in front of him throwing a punch, Kitsumi just barely had time to get the flat of his blade in front of the strike just before the impact. 'This guy is...' but Kitsumi would be unable to complete that thought as the impact struck and Kitsumi would go flying backwards landing behind where Yasuka was as he hit the dirt of the training facility. Between both the punch and hitting the ground, the wind from Kitsumi's lungs would be effectively knocked out of him, causing him to lay there momentarily as he collected himself and tried to catch his breath.

Kitsumi's blade undamaged in the defense of the attack was struck with enough force that it knocked it from Kitsumi's hand and into his chest, he was certain had he not been standing behind the blade he would have been disarmed. He was sure that he bruised a rib or something as it now hurt as he tried to catch his breath looking at the sky above his head. He was too out of practice and the man was just too fast for him, he was certain had he not sensed the electrical impulses of the man he wouldn't have been able to react in time though even now he could feel the bruise in the shape of his sword forming on his chest. Kitsumi coughed and winced in pain as he slowly began to sit up. "So... I... Take... It... That... Bit... About... Killing... Was... Just... For... Theatrics... Huh..." Kitsumi would heave deep breaths between words as he picked himself up, not taking his eyes off the man as he spoke, gripping the handle of his blade once more. He was bruised but not beaten yet.

Lightnings eyes would slightly widen as she saw the opponent for this trainings session lunge themselfes forward, but she was ready, seen on her already drawn and only took a moment to be raised, before insinct kicked in adn told her to duck adn still defend herself. As such she went into a lower position quickly, a standart move of the kendo stance and let raiton chakra flow through her super vibrato sword and holding it extended at the height of his arms. If he really was to hit her, he would have to go through 70 cm of crisp and masterfully molded and shaped steel which was reinforced and layed with a destructive raiton chakra flow.

Naturally, Lightning didnt exclude the possibility that he was able to take the sword however, as such her stand wasnt exactly very sturdy, and more focused on being able to angle her swort if need arose to still be defended. As for the impact of tsumi's attack, she had quite and ingenous plan for that, consisting of letting her sword and arms take the hit and weakening it by simply physics and then having tsumi push her over the ground instead of throwing her over. Of course only if he managed to evade her blade or managed to tank it or even stopped his attack.

In case he actually didnt manage to evade or stop in time, and hte blade managed to hurt him, it would be aimed for the fist sent against he abdomen. She wasnt trying to kill him after all, even if the blade obviously would suck to be cut with.

As far as she was concerned for her teammates, they would have to look out for themselfes in the first line. Lightning by far didnt have the time to look around and make sure that they werent in her way. After all, she was soo going to catch the full might of the stranger.

Yasuka is singularly focused on the opponent, and was actually able to follow is movements with her sharp, attentive eyes. She recognizes that he's swinging both arms at her teammates, and so she lets her legs completely drop, and although Kitsumi takes quite a lot of the force of his strike, it seems like Lightning took hers a bit better. Kitsumi flew over her, his legs smacking against her head a bit, but he had been light enough that his legs bumping against her hadn't done quite so much damage as she expected. Even so, the jutsu she had been building had already been ready before Tsumi even reached them... She just wanted to be sure that he was directly in front of her when she actually used the technique. She'd read the scroll all the way through and mostly memorized the contents, and this seemed like the perfect time to train this particular ninjutsu.

"Hey, big boy. You've got one problem; I had a balanced breakfast this morning."

Using the stored up water she'd drank earlier that day, she converts it to Suiton inside her stomach before opening her mouth and looking straight up at Tsumi before launching a condensed blast of Suiton chakra directly at his abs, aiming at the spot right at the top of where his chest ended and his abs began, hoping to knock the wind out of him or at least make it almost impossible to dodge with it pointed at the center of his body and at point-blank range.

Whether the technique hit or not, she assumed that Tsumi would be busy having to deal with it, so she got back up on her feet and ran back to Kitsumi in order to make sure he was all right, although he had managed to get to his feet once more by the time she reached him. As soon as she does, she turns back around to face Tsumi, standing on Kitsumi's left and slightly back to ensure she was out of the way of any of his sword swings, already preparing another handseal while she focused on the layer of water left on the ground from her Suiton technique.

"Well, that certainly showed us, didn't it?"

Post by Tsumi Thu Nov 24, 2022 3:10 pm

Tsumi hadn't expected his strength to be so overwhelming or for them to coordinate so quickly. The two Kenjutsu specialists adopted the exact same form against him. Shifting to bring up their swords. Both of them taking the hit fairly solidly. However the male would take it a little worse. Instead of attempting to slash in return he would turn his blade and take the hit. Blocking the majority of the force but being sent back flying for it. Tsumi had been surprised by this as he hadn't expected his strength to be so overwhelming. However both of them were quick. His eyes could track them but he needed to switch it up. However his issue was the other one had challenged this charge with her blade pointed at him. He was under the impression the thick rebar would help deflect the blade but he was wrong. Even as the lightning struck out against the heavy steel around his fist the blade began to cut through it with sparks flying. It was too late to back out but at least the steel reduced the damage to him. Still her blade would cut along the top of his arm as he ducked down into a stance mid blow.

He could see the other girl ducked down and talking smack at him. Perhaps the time it took her to speak was what he needed. Shifting into the spring chant stance as his arm slid under the blade. A shallow cut sliding up his arm through his skin like butter. But his muscles were thick enough that it prevented anything vital since she attempted to use his own force against him. The rebar wrapped around his arm splitting before he would feel it slice up to his shoulder. The lightning partially countering his sudden shift in coordination as he turned. The suiton techinque slamming into his ribs as he roared forward with his strength The left hand reaching for her hands on the hilt to grip it. The right hand shifted now to attempt to land an upper cut to her in the gut with the rebar enforced fist but held back for a direct hit to C+ strength.  He had taken her attack but only just enough to get in closer than the range of her blade. Now she was in his taijutsu range if she didn't back herself up faster than his C++ movement. His ribs hurt from the suiton but he could tank that once or twice. A bruise already forming as his coat was soaked now.

However she turned her back to Tsumi and left Lightning to handle him alone. If Lightning took the C+ blow than he would find bleeding for it worth it and curse himself for not bringing his gauntlets. Or even a kunai. However the goal was to lift her off the ground and stun her. His arm hurt from the lightning and the cut but he was pushing through. He however would never have let go of her hands so even if she was stunned or lifted he would use that to turn and with B+ strength to cover the distance the other girl was running, Tsumi would bodily throw Lightning at the remaining team member. At that distance and with Lightnings weight it would be lowered to C before it reached her.

As Kitsumi stood he would see Yasuka move closer to him before disappearing behind him as she spoke something about the man showing them up, "I'm not done yet." Kitsumi would reply simply as he gripped his blade tighter within his left hand, lightning sparking from the edge of his blade much like Lightning's blade as he dropped to his Kendo stance. He knew he would need both coordination and strength to pull this maneuver off though he just hoped he would be able to give it enough. Without wasting any time talking, Kitsumi would move in a half arc before moving towards the man, this putting some space between himself and the woman should she decide to attack the man or he attack her, once there it would be a straight shot towards the man. Blade at the ready to strike, Kitsumi would leap into the air applying a small amount of chakra to the air beneath his feet before releasing the burst and jumping once more while in the air giving him a double jump and placing him in the air above the man's head.

As Kitsumi began his decent down upon the man Kitsumi would ready himself as he performed Cloud-Style Front Beheading, bring his sword down upon the man with as much force as he and gravity could muster, the electricity crackling from the blade as he did so. Kitsumi wasn't holding back anything as he leapt into this fully intending to go for a kill with all of his might but his aim when he launched himself into the air would be off slightly and if the man took a step back then the sword would actually just barely be able to reach him, cutting the man's chest with the downward momentum of the strike. Kitsumi would curse himself as he quickly back stepped never taking his eyes off the man as he tried to put some distance between the man and himself.

At this point Kitsumi would have no idea where the other two were or their situation, all he knew was that the man was still standing and that meant his job was not done and he would lower himself back into the initial stance of Kendo as he watched and waited for the man's move and prepared to strike defensively so he would not be caught off guard like last time.

A solid hit. This was all that lightnign needed in order to let another one follow, Seeing how Tsumi tried to go for her hands, which both were at the blade, she would retract one of her hands with her high coordination while theother one still continued and executed the strike at his arm. The hand that just got free however, would reach for a Kunai from her holstet, immediately sending raiton chakra through it as well. By now, Tsumi would have likely already getten a hold oh her hand and got to feel the raiton chakra flow which she had applied to the hilt of her sword as well, likely stunning him further. After all, every kenjutsu user was as adept in using smaller arms then they were in using swords. It didnt take a genious to change weapons according to the situation either.

As far as she was concerned with his upper cut into her stomach, Lightning was ready and anticipated a move like this and prepared ehrself to stab him sortly before he could hit her. If he punched her, he would get her, for sure, but he also would drive the kunai deeper into his arms with an action like that. As such it was a fair trade. After all, Lightning had already done a good amount of damage and seeing how Kitsumi had been knocked back earlier, it was needed. After all, if he could do so much damage with just his hands, then it was fair if they used their weapons.

Depending if Tsumi actually went through with his hit to her stomach, Lightnign would defiently feel the fist not only beating the air out of her, but making her spit and yelp out in pain, before she would notice that Tsumi was intending to pick her up and throw her. Obviously she would, despite the pain she was in, continue to stab Tsumi, with the exception of his face, as this was too dangerous for her. It still only was a spar, after all. In case you would be sent flying despite ehr efforts not to, Lightning wouldnt really be able to control the way she was flying, however what she would have done was to try to keep anything sharp away from her teammate as she was cutting through the air.

Yasuka isn't nearly perceptive enough with her hearing to know what exactly is going in the fight between Lightning and Tsumi, so she's quite surprised when Lightning's body suddenly hits her from behind, knocking her to the ground and forcing her to let out a grunt. It takes a bit of work to get herself out from under her own teammate, but she works her way out of the limb tangle, having lost any of the previous progress on her handseals in the process. But this was fine, too. Her next technique was a little out of her usual wheelhouse, but this was the last of the techniques she had been considering for training.

She looks directly at Tsumi, who was likely already dealing with quite a lot, since she watched Kitsumi make his move to rejoin the fight against their singular opponent and he'd just started a new assault. Although Yasuka was once again starting to perform handseals, she didn't actually need them for this particular jutsu. She was performing two techniques at the same time, though it required a huge amount of coordination from her to be able to use both at once. Yasuka focuses first on the genjutsu that she'd thought might come in handy against a physical fighter like Lightning, one that she barely understood.

"Hey you! Try dealing with all of these!"

Yasuka performs the final handseal, and at the same time, locks down with a genjutsu while still molding Suiton chakra within herself. With her yelled words likely drawing at least some attention from Tsumi to herself, even if only a little, Tsumi would probably see movement out of the corner of his eyes; what looked like several copies of Yasuka herself coming from behind buildings or under rubble, even from behind some of the nearby training dummies and focusing down on him with short, jerky movements, and all with a look of sadistic glee. Though their approach would be slow, it would be steady and unending as they approach their target.

But Yasuka isn't done yet. The water left on the ground was perfect for an additional Suiton technique she could use in conjunction with the genjutsu, as the water reforms itself into a singular water clone directly behind Tsumi, if he were turned to face Kitsumi's attack. This water clone uses what might be a distraction from Kitsumi or for Kitsumi, but in either case, the water clone takes the opportunity to body-block the other genin, making retreat require a bit more work, and possibly making the genjutsu appear more real; after all, this water clone was clearly physically real.

Seid Otsutsuki sat on one of Truth-Seeking Orbs high in the air about 100 meters. The ANBU Captain was dressed in black robes, matching his jet black hair. He set cross-legged while observing the newest recruits as they sparred. It was good to see others getting stronger, as he was sure their strength would be needed sooner than later. The war with Mora loyalist and the Otsu deserters grew stronger. Seid leaned forward and peered with his Rinnegan eyes. They were quite impressive. He would stay out the way and only come if needed. But he was entertained to say the least. It had been sometime since he enjoyed company of others besides the Twins and Shimiko.

Tsumi would see the kunai bring brought down even as he gripped the girl and punched her in the gut. He would drop his shoulder so the kunai dug in but only to the bone. Scraping it instead of going too deep. Still it would hurt considerably. Making Tsumi clench his fist in pain as the lightning left light burns on his skin. His B+ strength hand clenching hers around her sword if she couldn't break free would cause a sickening crunching noise. Of course Tsumi was lost in the pain of battle and looking to avoid incoming attacks. It was lost on him that he likely just turned her fingers to swollen nubs. Still his face would raise to hers as suddenly his eyes flashed red. For a moment his true face would come through. The face of something inhuman...a red demon staring at her. It was only for a moment but his demon side would push through after getting stabbed. After which he would do his throw. Yanking her by that arm as he spun around like whip and likely dislocating the shoulder in the process. Getting stabbed once more in the side for doing so. However the kunai barely dug in before he released.

However as soon as he released her a shadow caught his attention. His red eyes darting upwards as the man had recovered. Not only that he had gained an impressive amount of air. To consumed by the spinning attack to notice the man floating on an orb some distance above. Something that normally would stand out in the sky. Still Kitsumi was spinning with lightning arcing on that blade. Red eyes widened before reacting in anger at how badly he was being cut. Though it had all been lightning so far Kitsumi was the same danger. That lightning blade the same danger. However with spring chant as a stance Tsumi was still faster. With blood dripping from his left arm in one cut and one stab to his shoulder and from his left abdomen. None of them deep or serious but Lightning had left her mark. He wasn't about to take another so quickly. Despite his lack of intelligence he was adapting to the fight. Finding the right counter and shifting into it. The man was spinning down with the reach far enough that if Tsumi retreated it would cut him. So he wouldn't retreat.

Instead his still rebar coated fist would rise up as he stepped in to meet the attack. But this time it wasn't aiming for the blade. Instead it was aiming to crush his elbow mid final spin and drop. Using more strength now than he had with lightning as the adrenaline began taking over. His heart pumping at the sound of the cracking of bone if Kitsumi didn't evade mid air. The difference in force likely stopping his spin entirely. However the rebar would shatter from being used twice by that fist. His eyes picking up the clone next to him as his other hand rose to press his palm to Kitsumi's other a arm to spike him into the clone. Using full force (Cushioned to only do damage and not to kill with the clone.) Aiming to disable an arm for each swordsman and deal with the girl who had been some distance...wait...she was... THAT CHEATER!

Around him he saw it all now. The dark shapes coming for him like ninja. Tsumi would roll his shoulder as those red eyes shifted to her. If his attacks had worked both her front liners were partially broken. All the blood dripping from his three wounds he didn't seem to notice as he lifted his other hand to brush his nose. Making sure that where ever the two swordsman landed they weren't out of his sight. She was clearly his next target. The other people were slowly walking but she was the closest.

"Gonna bring out a whole gang huh? That there is bad guy behavior. Alright than....I'll take you all on. Lets get serious."

Kitsumi watched as Tsumi would toss lightning towards Yasuka, while he hoped they were ok he didn't have time to think about them. His aim was true he was sure of it, but then the unthinkable happened. Tsumi stepped forward and in those brief seconds Kitsumi saw the events about to unfold he could almost feel the pain in his arm from the impact with the man's hand, without thinking he would instantly change his tactics as he adjusted in just the last second before impact.

Instead of Kitsumi's arm being met by Tsumi's hand it was merely his jacket as the now shirtless male stood low to the ground lunging forward with a lateral slash of his chakra flow enhanced blade before Tsumi would have a chance to react. Instantly after the slash Kitsumi would instantly jump backwards ensuring he was back far enough away from the man that Tsumi could not grab him returning to the kendo starting position as he readied himself for the man's assault.

Though Kitsumi would be unaware of the others the sight of the mist servant technique would surprise him, as he unintentionally placed himself between Tsumi and the two women that were help him to battle this demon. Even though Kitsumi afforded the damage that Tsumi would have done to him it did not change the fact that he was quickly over exerting himself, and if the fight lasted much longer he would more than likely collapse.

Brutal. There was nothing else to describe the action of the other man. Making lightning cry out in pain as he broke two of her fingers on the hand that had been holding the sword, the pain would only be blurred out once she saw into his eyes and for the first time in the match perceived the unworldly thing that he was. Certainly the spin afterwards didnt help either, but at this point there was only little that she could do, except stab him even more.

Once she got thrown, there was a short amount of time where she was mid air, that almost seemed peaceful. If only it hadnt ended. Coming back to her senses once she hit the ground, she would think if she should just stand down, but besides all the pain that nearly made her just close her eyes and wait, there was something else, that being a more calmer part that told ehr that she was down, but not out adn that one arm was fair for the amount of damage she had done to him. After all, he was hurting too, and he was bleeding. Sooner or later, this would have an impact. Another part of her wouldnt accept that and even knew what to do. Death by a thousand cuts. While this was only a methaphoric thing to say, Lightning would add up to that when the hand that had formerly held a kunai formed a handseal and summoned raiton clones out of nothingness, while she was slwoly getting up, careful not to move her dislocated arm and staring at the demon in anger.

Her clones would come with swords and kunai alike as they apprached Tsumi, their faces showing nothing else then despise and their movements bringing forth a single message, that being that he would suffer for what he had done to lightning.

Again, their weapons would be glowing from raiton chakra and they would appear pretty coordinated, just like lightning had been before.

Yasuka is a bit surprised by the expression on Tsumi's face when he turns to face her, but she's already performing handseals again as she sees that he's completely covered in water from all her Suiton techniques, leaving him dangerously vulnerable to her next attack. The genin doesn't hesitate, however, because she can see that he's focused on her now, and she did just watch him quite severely hurt Lightning and got close to taking out Kitsumi; she wouldn't want to be next on the menu for this spar. The other shadowy illusions continue to approach Tsumi, their numbers seeming to multiply as they come closer to him on all sides.

She molds the Raiton chakra inside her body as she rapidly forms the handseals needed for one of her signature techniques, performing all three in less than a second, but instead of ending on the Dog handseal like she would normally, she ends on the Snake handseal, an additional handseal; she can feel the Raiton chakra amplified inside of her, but she's careful to avoid Kitsumi and stay out of the way of the Raiton clones that Lightning makes as they rush past the two of them. Yasuka moves to stand next to him as she points her fingers at Tsumi and the three Raiton clones that surround him with the intention of attacking him, expelling a sudden blast of Raiton chakra at him, the clones, and the puddle of water at his feet; a direct rush from Tsumi would only result in the lightning attack reaching him all the sooner, although she hoped the attack would only incapacitate him. After all, the point-black Gunshot technique had done little more than hurt him earlier.

The Raiton technique blasts right through some of her own illusionary mist servants towards him, which would make it quite difficult for him to see the attack coming with his view obscured.
