    Currier:

The job of a courier was interesting to say the least. Shin was not too sure about the logistics about the processes a mailman had to go through, though today was certainly a learning experience in regards to an industry he knew next to nothing about; except for being on the receiving end for getting mail. The route for them was already predetermined, the mail having been sorted out in an efficient and effective delivery manner. It was simply up to them to sort out the mail and packages in their route so they wouldn’t need to constantly stop to try and find the next package as they reached their destination. It was a simple process that was easy enough to follow, but in the same regard could prove to be difficult if something was not accounted for or missing entirely.

Right now, currently, Shin was staring at a pile of unsorted, mentally wishing there was a way for the mail to sort itself out to save himself the hassle of having to do it himself. Squating down for a moment, Shin picked up a single envelope, identifying the name and address that was indicated on the item. Making a mental note of it, his eyes wandered around, trying to find another delivery that would be in the same area; though truly he could just grab anything and sort them out as needed. “Why can’t they just sort this out for us so we could just get to delivering.” Shin muttered quietly, his hands reaching for another parcel to identify the package’s destination to see if it would come before or after the first one he identified.

"They did tell me you had trouble with sorting things, but I remember after we walked out that if they didn't give you the easy tasks like this there'd be not much else for someone at your skill level to do..." Katsumi would laugh while rubbing his upper lip. Knowing full well that Shin might not take too well to his joke as Katsumi followed in a similar vein, sorting the mail and deliveries in his hand by similar groupings, marking each of the locations as best he could.

Though, Shin was definitely right, sorting this out ahead of time would make the process 10x easier and much more managable logistically, it was the perfect chance to take a shot back at him for all his joking the last few days. Or rather, it was a good chance to be the initiator instead, even if this joke seemed a bit... much? Either way, Katsumi would straighten up as he had a rough path way set in his mind on delivering all in his hand in a relatively straight line. "Ready? I figure if we split up then we can deliver all this at the same time and be done in no time..." Katsumi would wait for confirmation or some other idea before setting off or following suit to the other proposed plan.

Choosing to not directly respond to Katsumi’s, Shin instead chose to keep going ahead with the task at hand. A few solid seconds of silence from Shin’s end would pass by, simply choosing to let the man stew by not acknowledging his presence. The faster he was done here, the less time he would have to spend with Katsumi. Katsumi, for all intents and purposes, was a shinobi, yet his brain did not seem to work half the time – according to Shin at least. “Well… it may be suited for my skill level right now, but unlike you I won’t be stuck doing menial things a year from now, unlike you. Please let me know how it feels to be stuck here for the rest of your life.” Katsumi’s assumed plan was one of the brightest ideas the boy has had and Shin would acknowledge it. “Well, that’s certainly the only smart idea you’ve had thus far, maybe you are moving up in the world.” Having sorted most of the mail out into a few small piles, Shin would split the piles up equally between them.

Shin gathered the pile at his feet, an equal size to the one remaining for Katsumi. “Don’t take all day.” Shin would say as he would turn and make his way out of the post office and take to the streets to deliver the parcels. With the amount of mail they would each have to deliver, it would take roughly three hours at most for an average individual – perhaps longer for Katsumi. One by one the pile would dwindle down, each package never having an incorrect address making the work so much easier for him. Shin would finish his deliveries within two and a half hours and would simply make his way back home once he was completed.

"Unlike you... Unlike you..." Katsumi would retort with enough sarcasm to layer it on like syrup while staring intently at Shin across from him who seemed to be ignoring him now for no other reason than his own edification. At least, it seemed that way and Katsumi would be more interested in finishing their mission than duking it out verbally or even physically finally with Shin. However, despite the regression, Shin seemed to agree with his plan and almost offered him a half-assed compliment to go along with it.

Still, with things split up between them they would begin their mission and be on their way, Shin of course adding one more snide remark before they started at off, Katsumi would sigh and shake his head at him before dashing off on his own to head into whatever neighborhood after the various mailboxes that he would deposit boxes and envelopes and letters into as quickly as he could. Soon their piles would dwindle and disappear completely before their mission was done. When everything was cleared, Katsumi would gather up any leftover belongings and bags to return anything extra back to the post office. With a final note, he would wave to Shin with a half hearted, "Next time you might want to focus on better insults. Just a suggestion..." Then Katsumi would depart off to report their mission done and enjoy the rest of the evening to himself.
