Manning the Shop:

An exhausted looking Shin could not be spotted if someone walked through the front entrance to Sayo’s bookstore… what the actual name of the shop had been, Shin couldn’t be bothered to remember at this particular moment. For someone who was usually a morning person, it was just one of those days where Shin was just unexpectedly and infinitely tired for each passing hour that went by. So far, it had been only an hour and a half working at this shop, and all Shin had accomplished thus far was putting back the books on the shelves and was expected to return to the front desk where Sayo had requested their help. Instead, Shin had decided to sit down at one of the few empty seats in the shop and rest his eyes for a few moments. Those few moments had continually increased from what Shin mentally stated would be a minute to nearing half an hour of dozing off on the seat.

If someone happened to walk by the area and had not seen Shin, they would not hear a sound come from the man. However, it was clear to anyone that attained a visual on the Muramatsu that the brown-haired man was fast asleep. A slight trickle of drool would escape his mouth, his head tilted completely onto his right shoulder, bound to give his neck some slight issues when his eyes opened once more and his consciousness returned to the book shop he was tasked with helping out with.

The first thing that roused him was something heavy dropping upon the crown of his head, followed by the sound of a voice that he clearly did not register, choosing to ignore the words entirely and opting to rub the spot of his head where the book had been dropped. Shin did not look up to figure out who the culprit was, since he already knew the one person who it would be, especially given who he was assigned to do this mission with. “Anyone ever teach you any manners?” He would grumble out, finally opening his cool amber orbs to glare at Katsumi. “And being dropped on your head is not a reasonable excuse to go around dropping books on someone’s head.” Shin continued promptly, providing very little room for a rebuttal to be formed by Katsumi. Shaking his head to hopefully alleviate the pain slightly, Shin would rise to his feet, removing himself from the seat he had planted himself on.

“And, if you must know… I already finished most of the work here, perhaps you should stop slacking and continue working.” It was slight fib, though Shin had accomplished most of his task of returning books to their proper places, as they had very few interruptions due to the lack of customers this early in the day. “I’ll return to the front counter once I’m done here.” Shin stated as he would go back to the small pile of books he had remaining and put them back in their rightful place, which would only take a handful of minutes. Less than ten minutes later, Shin would be done with the task and would return to the front counter in order to help any customers that would enter the building. The day would pass by relatively slowly, with not too many customers coming in, but it wasn’t the worst job that Shin had taken thus far. Eventually their day would come to an end with little difficulties presenting themselves.
