Numb [Private]

Once Satori was satisfied that everything was clean, he came back into the bedroom as she snuggled into the covers. Gently settling into the bed next to her as he placed the bowl of rice down with a small bowl of broth. Pulling her into his arms he kissed the top of her head gently and a slight smile decorated his lips.

“Sleep for a bit, Riku-chan,” he murmured to her gently. Fingertips caressing her head gently through her hair. “Tomorrow's a new day and you can think about everything else then. For now, just rest, alright?” With this he lowered his head and pressed it gently against her own before he straightened and let her nestle into his side.

She had a lot to do. A Lot of work, a lot of talking, alot of communication with both sides of her family and voids to fill. But he knew she could do it. He’d happily help her in any way that he could as well. But, for now, he just wanted her to rest. Closing his eyes he allowed himself to relax as well--happy that she was finally making progress on those barriers that had locked away her heart for so long.

"Mhmmm," Riku hummed in agreement, nuzzling Satori as he brushed his forehead against hers. She cuddled close to him, resting her head on his chest and one arm across his torso.

A moment later she whined, disgruntled and liquefied, soaking through the man's shirt. When she solidified, she was under it, pressed to his skin. A contented sigh escaped her lips before the blue-haired teen fell asleep.

She was more than happy to stop thinking about the past for now. It was a painful process and the rest was much needed.
