I can see you [Private]

Kanara slowly, carefuly, walked through the Village on this sunny day, wearing sunglasses and the usual thin robes she wore since the "incident", avoiding direct sunshine like a starved vampire. After all, overheating before starting the training would certainly leave a bad expression on the Genin she was about to meet. And the first expression was a very important one, seeing as it was a potential member for her team.

Same as the last time she visited the training facility, she carried the large canister with water with her, something she found incredibly valuable when training, sparring, or even doing the most simple tasks that would leave her exhausted beyond belief. Seeing as she planned a spar today the importance of the water she carried got even greater.

While she certainly wasn't looking forward to what was going to happen -her eventually breaking down due to exhaustion- she understood the importance of it. After all, she had been assigned to a mission that was risky at least. And if all strings failed, she needed to be ready to step in and protect her team, while at the same time making sure they knew how to handle themselves in dangerous situations.

As she continued her way, slightly sighing about both the weight of the canister, as well as the fact that she would make a fool out of herself later on, she fastened her pace as she didnt want to come late.

Being asleep for so long certainly has done a number to her body. For one, Ari's body felt stiff and her muscles felt lighter. Her once calloused hands now only held faint traces of how much sweat and effort she put into perfecting her techniques. To some it wouldn't be that much of an issue, but it irritated Ari of how weak she felt.

So much had changed in the couple of years that she was gone as the people who were once kids were now teens and genin or even chunin. Meanwhile Ari herself was… well, whatever it was they called her since she was demoted due to her condition. Not that a sleeping beauty that may or may not wake up anytime soon would expect a raise. However rank didn't matter to her if she didn't even have the strength and technique to back up the claim.

One thing has remained the same however, Ari never backs down from a challenge. Even if it happened to be from an Uchiha. Granted, Ari only met Kanara recently at the hospital. Even so Ari looked at this as an opportunity to basically shake off the rust metaphorically.


Ari of course was at the training grounds as it was requested, and of course Ari was wearing relatively light considering she was a kunoichi. There wasn't any armor, hip pouch, holster, or any kind of tool. Just a black tank top with a pair of white shorts. Feet bare to the earth, and her long hair was pulled up into a bun. When Kanara arrived however, Ari was reminded of the little spat Ari had with Chika. For a while there, they had their difficulties in getting along. Hopefully this doesn't become like that, or end up like that.

"Just to remind you, this is just a spar. No lethal strikes from either side, alright?"

Arriving at the training grounds, Kanara was able to spot the Konichi she had set up her spar for today from afar. It was no wonder. Kanara Had sharp eyes, even without the Sharingan and the girl she was looking at certainly was unique. As she approached slowly she noticed how the mere temperature already had taken a toll on her Stamina. Raising her hand and waving as she closed the last few steps she waited until she stood in front of Ari before she began to speak:

"Its good to see you too... of course. No lethal strikes and no ninjutsu id say."

Walking past Ari now, into the facility, Kanara would turn her head and look if she followed. In case she did, Kanara would add: "In case you feel funny during the spar though... let me know, alright?" Thinking about her sentence for a second, Kanara decided to give the girl a bit more information, if only to not make her former statement look so weird. "I-... something happened to me recently and there could be chances that it can affect others too. And while the doc said that likely there is no risk, I don't want anybody else to feel the thing i felt."

If Ari followed, they would enter a training room that was empty. Inside, Kanara would put the canister down and offer Ari: "If you are thirsty, feel free to help yourself. Just take one of the plastic glasses though, please.", pointing at an unopened pack of plastic glasses. Standing straight now, she went into the middle of the room, asking: "Anything I should know about before we start? Something like a joint you dont want to accidently get hit?"

Ari didn't turn tail and run, that's for sure. The Earth Devil followed after Kanara into the facility itself. Of course when Kanara turned to issue a warning and explained that something had happened to her recently. Ari's raised a brow as that sounded like an interesting story.

"Well it wouldn't be the first time. Last time I had to deal with a guy who liked to fly around. It was a little annoying, but there were worse scenarios." Not that it was impressive on her part. Just seemed like everyone and their mother during that war used either lightning or wind chakra. None ever got into a close quarters combat with her either. That was something everyone avoided like the plague. Although the part of no ninjutsu certainly did reduce half of her arsenal from the equation. She was a nintaijutsu specialist after all. However it wasn't something she couldn't handle.

"Alright, that's simple enough." The offer of water wasn't foreign to Ari. Most who delve into anything physical or chakra related treat water like gold. Ari was one of them as she accepted the water by taking one of the plastic glasses and filling it up with water.

"Not that I can think of. The only lasting injuries I've ever sustained is, well, you're staring at them." Ari says as she was referring to her eyes. The same colorless eyes that hyuuga tend to have, and yet she wasn't even related to them. Somehow, for some reason, the Byakugan accepted her like she was one. It was almost funny how fate turns things around, even if it is drastic. Ari finishes her glass of water before setting it down. Where Ari approaches Kanara at the center to where they were roughly 5 meters apart. She placed her hands together in front of her, fist pressed against the empty palm as a sign of respect.

"Ready when you are." And so Ari assumes a stance with her arms raised like she was some kind of boxer.

Seeing as Ari got ready, Kanara did the same, getting into the strong fist stance and activating her sharingan. As the three tomoes appeared on her Iris and the colour of red her eyes had changed slightly, she saw everything she needed to see. Every so slight movement of the other kunoichi was perceived by her. Deciding to start slower than she was able to, Kanara went in with A rank coordination and A-rank speed initiating the fight by a leg sweep.

After all it was the only reasonable thing to do. Kanara didn't want to exhaust herself at the very beginning, neither did she want to leave herself open for a counterattack by Ari's prepared fists. In case Ari would retaliate or see through her attempt to strike her and counter, Kanara would stop her attack and jump backward, positioning herself defensively and trying to evade counter-attacks, if needed with her full speed and coordination.

In case she succeeded in swiping the Kunoichis legs, however, making her fall, Kanara would stand straight and extend her hand as an offer to help the Ninja up. In either case, Kanara would continue to watch, utilizing her physical precognition all the time. This was her domain. The power of the Uchiha clan, and yet -compared to others of her clan- it was simply the tip of the iceberg. However, if Kanara was correct, Ari carried the Byakugan. The Dojutsu of a clan that was equally feared, praised, and hated for their taijutsu skills. Most importantly a clan that the Uchiha didn't like for what seemed like an eternity.

Stats and techs used:

Ari has been around Uchiha long enough and even been the victim of Sharingan genjutsu to know when the Sharingan was active. As the three tomoe circles around the pupil within Kanara's eyes, Ari's eyes reveal a faint trace of her own pupil as veins bulge grotesquely around the sides. There was another reason Ari delved into the Byakugan however, and that was because Ari could keep an eye on Kanara without risking looking into Kanara's eyes.

Kanara was quick, much quicker than Ari expected as she crossed the short distance before Ari could blink. Not that Ari couldn't perceive Kanara's full speed, but keeping track and having the ability to equally react were two different things. The reaction was something Ari suspected she could adequately react on time. However, Ari taps into her well of Chakra that infuses her body with monstrous strength as Ari lifted her front leg high above her head. She wasn't exactly worried as her feet dug into the earth with a vice grip. Even if Kanara goes through with the sweep, it'll hit, but Ari wouldn't budge a centimeter before she brings down her heel for a powerful axe kick down onto Kanara's shoulder.

Of course, as Aei suspected, Kanara was a speed Demon as she Blitz out of the heel's reach. Forcing Ari to strike the ground where Kanara had stood, but the effect was just as devastating as a thunderous Crack erupted as the very Earth cracked and caved inward for a good 10 meters which dipped down 5 meters. Ari didn't stop there as she lunged forward at Kanara's direction with the crater before throwing a nasty punch into the edge of the crater. Causing the ground to rupture as dust began kicking up. Ari proceeded to follow up by performing thunderous blows against the large chunks of earth that shattered into many yet fast pieces at Kanara's vicinity. Each blow Ari stepped closer and closer to Kanara. None were supposed to hurt, at least not the lethal kind, but getting smacked by dirt or rock at high velocity would still sting.

By the end of the barrage, Ari stomps her foot into the ground at a particular angle to cause a slab of earth to upheaval towards her. Ari pours even greater Chakra into her fist, more Chakra than she's ever had to before, before she slams the powerful fist into earth with such intensity that a powerful Shockwave erupts from the impact. Causing the entire 5 meter slab to not only shatter into many pieces, but to scatter the earth Shrapnel with S rank force at Kanara's vicinity. At the same time, Ari was kicking up so much dust from the landscaping that there was a pretty dense cloud around Ari now.

The sharingan truly was something else. Not only was it the key to great power, but also even in its earlier stages it was amazingly strong. This very strength was the reason Kanara was able to perceive Ari in ever so slight movement she made. Going through with her attack, Kanara hit the leg of the girl she was sparring against. As she expected it didnt show too much effect at all, and with the imminent threat of a raised leg coming down onto her now, it was time to retreat. Evading the leg with ease, she jumped backward, keeping her distance as she perceived chakra radiation from the girl, or rather concentrating in her body. However, something neither Kanara nor Ari noticed was the fact that nanites wandered from her body onto Ari's beginning to fulfill their only hard coded objective, to replicate and assimilate.

However Kanara also spotted something else during her earlier attack, that being the Hyuga clans typical kekkei genkai, the byakugan, a powerful dojutsu, only rivaled in its ability to perceive things by the rinnegan and the sharingan. Knowing that the byakugan had the ability to see through smoke and tenketsu, Kanara set it as a priority to not be hit. Going through the most common facts about the byakugan in her head as she went backwards, she found it having no real weakness except 2, those being exhaustion and a blind spot at their neck. As neither were an option, specificly a strike at the neck due to the risks it brought with it, Kanara decided to try a different apprach as suddenly Ari used some kind of technique that made the ground explode into shrapnel. Luckily however, Kanara not only was faster then it, naturally, but also saw the enormous amount of energy the other girl had brought into her hands. Those two facts allowed her to evade, using her speed to get behind Ari.

While she didnt doubt that Ari knew exactly where she was as she pushed through the smoke cloud, Kanara hoped that she wasnt able to react in time, seeing how she wasnt able to hit her with the heel earlier. Commencing an attack in the form of her hand striking down fast and precisely, aimed for a weak spot between her shoulder and her neck, a spot that would knock out normal people for sure, Kanara switched to the arhat fist style and kept her eyes on the girl. While the dust blocked direct vision, her ability to see chakra wasnt bothered at all by this fact, and Ari was radiating like a christmas tree in that matter.

In case Ari was able to react to this, Kanara would try to evade any potential counter and instead try to hit other weak spots, depending on the counter. In case her attack was successful, she would react accordingly to the result of her attack.
