    The canon databook traditionally lists three potential ranges for techniques, or it lists the technique as "close, mid, or long". Its a force of habit. I switched it to 0-50m.

    Description: False Triumph is an illusion that brings the opponent's fantasy of defeating Irui to fruition. When executed, False Triumph produces a "procedural illusion", using Yin Release to force the opponent into shadowboxing with an illusory Irui. Every touch, sight ,and sound the brain wishes to see happen will occur, with Illusory Irui countering the opponent's own motions in their mind, for each turn that Irui pays the upkeep cost. When Irui stops paying the upkeep cost, the opponent's next action will defeat Irui, the brain playing out its fantasy of defeating him. Its only when Irui reveals the farce that the psychological damage sinks in.

    Inflict B-rank psychological damage to the opponent. While cast, the brain perceives the illusory Irui as the true target.

    Weaknesses: "False Triumph" is ideal in a one-on-one situation, as the concentration required makes the technique most efficient for singling out opponents. Irui will stay immobile, but if required, can move at E-rank speed at most, with E-rank coordination. At A-rank intelligence, the Caster can target up to 3, however Irui must may the upkeep cost individually, making this technique taxing. Detected by Sensory and certain visual doujutsu. Can be stopped by the opponent's ally with chakra-flow


    Irui uses Yin Release to force the opponent to shadowbox him, using the principles behind it to draw out a fight, or unnerve the opponent.

    So I've been debating with myself about this, and frankly how Genjutsu works. I think, if I'm getting it correct, the opponent perceives the illusion as the real thing, and thus the brain doesn't see the real person.

    Like in Itachi's fight with Kurenai, she just up and vanishes, then reappears from the Tree. Itachi doesn't see her in the real world. Then  when Kurenai has her own arc with the Kurama Clan, and the dudes that use String Bean illusions its all in their heads. C, in the Kumo vs. Taka fight, uses his Lightning Pillar as forces Jugo to see illusions of Sasuke, but Jugo doesn't perceive the real Sasuke or C in that instance.

    Additionally, I think there might be an "immobility" requirement to some that the anime only briefly touches on in scenes. Tayuya doesn't zip around casting illusions with her flute. Madara full-stops to cast Tsukuyomi before murdering some poor rando.

    Which, given the concentration required, I'd be fine if Irui has to stay immobile.

    E-rank speed and coorination <- put in that it also affects coordination. But yes your instincts are right, that's a good way to balance Nightmare Genjutsu of this sort.

    I put the activation cost at B, with a D-rank upkeep, to keep consistent with the depiction of genjutsu being able to lead an opponent on until the "big reveal". If its layered with other techniques, the upkeep will naturally stack, and overall have a taxing effect on his reserves. When used against multiple opponents this D-rank cost stacks rapidly as well.

    Description: "Vertigo" attacks the opponent's inner ears, using Sound (and/or Lightning), and the resulting vibrations harnessed by Irui's Resonating Echo Speakers. By moving his body and arms, Irui will generate vibrations, captured by the Speakers and amplified with Lightning. "Vertigo" can be released in a 10m radius around him, or directed into the opponent's soft tissues with contact. Like Resonating Echo Drill, the sound-waves can be directed via chakra as well.

    "Vertigo" will deal debuff's to the opponent's Coordination based upon their Perception (Hearing). Inflict a -2 Debuff to Coordination if Perception is higher. If "Vertigo" makes physical contact, inflict a -2 Debuff to Coordination regardless. Vertigo's damage to the inner ear will cause a loss of balance, nausea, vomiting, etc. If Irui makes contact with the opponent, this effect will be channeled through the soft tissues.

    Irui has also employed this technique at close range on the Hidden Cloud's enemies for interrogative purposes.

    (Other idea: For every tier that Perception is higher than Coordination, inflict a proportional debuff to Coordination, ex 3 tiers above = 3 tier debuff, with more sensitive hearing = greater damage)  

    Weaknesses: Will not work on deaf opponents, or if the Sound is blocked at range. Nullified at range by Wind Style of C-rank or higher. Due to the range of this technique, damage can be indiscriminate if the sound-waves are not controlled.

    Weaknesses: Will not work on deaf opponents, or if the Sound is blocked at range. Nullified at range by Wind Style of C-rank or higher. Due to the range of this technique, damage can be indiscriminate if the sound-waves are not controlled.

    Sound is sound, its going to be fast, not slow. Lowest I'll go for this one is A-rank, I think that's reasonable.

    (Other idea: For every tier that Perception is higher than Coordination, inflict a proportional debuff to Coordination, ex 3 tiers above = 3 tier debuff, with more sensitive hearing = greater damage)


    *^ Is this in the technique or not? If its just an additional idea, I suggest putting it in a Word document rather than in another technique.

    The "Void Release" resulted in the further corruption of the Mikiri Clan's Dark Release bloodline limit, brought upon by massive bodily trauma, the mingling of blood between two Mikiri, and the effects of Dark Release on another clansmen. It has been described as "Releasing the Void" contained within the Mikiri's Mark.

    The "Void" is often referred to as the sixth element of chakra natures, an inversion of Yin and Yang, and represents "Nothingness". It has been discussed in academic circles as theoretical, that if there is a Yin to match Yang, and element has its antithesis, then matter must be diametrically opposed. Void Release is antithetical to matter. "Void" traditionally is expressed as "Sky" or "Heaven", and has come to refer to things in the 'great beyond'. Void represents the space between physical objects and the eradication of substance.

    First triggered by Irui Mikiri while praying for the Baku spirit to free him from the Church, "Void Release" manifests itself like a black substance and/or liquid. Void could be described as "vantablack", a darkness of such intensity it is difficult for the senses to perceive. Void Release predominantly forms black spheres and circular zones, projected around Irui, much like how gravity forms a singular point and shapes mass into spheres (e.g Planets). The Hidden Cloud's scientists have remarked that this liquid mimics the theoretical "Dirac Sea", and Irui has aptly named/devised techniques around this concept.

    As a chakra-nature, Void Release spreads across surfaces/materials, and immediately consumes them (including light, sources of heat, etc.). Void draws matter into itself, collapsing the physical space, and warping it in the process. Simultaneously, it also represents the "great expanse", the space between things.  Given these properties, Void is quintessentially a broken manifestation of Dark Release, swallowing everything in the material world. In all demonstrations, Irui Mikiri has acted as the "epicenter" for Void Release, and remains connected to the substance in some fashion. Measurements indicate that Void Release is an "ultra-thin" substance, nanometers thick, and is extremely cold. Internally, the "Dirac Sea" is astoundingly quiet, with a stillness that numbs the body, and induces sensory deprivation. Irui described it as "free-fall" with no up, nor down or sides, just a state of being without direction.


    Drawbacks: When activated, the Dirac Sea is so dark that it absorbs light, effectively robbing Irui of his eyesight. As Irui's body acts as the epicenter, this requires the use of allies and other methods of detection to view opponents. Irui otherwise appears to be able to physically interact with Void Release without ill-effects. He notes that when transversing it, the Void is very cold, and prolonged exposure is "maddening", indicating he cannot be submerged for very long.

    Void Release is indiscriminate, and consumes anything caught in its path regardless of Irui's intention. It appears to not be able to violate Space-time Barriers and Chakra Barriers, although it will eliminate the space around them, carving out a spherical zone and undercutting them.

    Suggested Counters: Long-range Genjutsu, Fuinjutsu, Barrier-Ninjutsu, Kyujutsu, Bukijutsu.


    Mechanics:
    - Void Release is an enhanced Dark Release it consumes externalized chakra and matter that touches it. Like Dark, the Void can also return matter as well. Because of Void's properties, it does not  replenish chakra reserves like Dark, and does not allow Ninjutsu to be recycled.
    - Void is neither strong, nor weak to any element, like Dark Release. All elements interact equally with Void and vice-versa.
    - When activated, Void Release robs Irui of his sight, requiring him to rely on Sensory to perceive his opponents.  Due to the attractive nature of Void, it also draws techniques closer to him, making them more difficult to dodge. For the purpose of calculation, Irui has -1 Coordination for dodging projectile-based attacks.

    Description: Inhaling Maw, manipulated into a Barrier. With an outstretched hand, the Mikiri will project a translucent, red-tinted barrier extending from their Mark, shaped into a sphere. The Mikiri's Mark is the only part of the body exposed. "Singularity" forms a bubble-like barrier around the user that, when struck by externalized chakra, diffuses the energy across the surface of the barrier. This chakra absorbs it into the Mikiri's Mark, regardless of the attack's trajectory. Should multiple opponents or attacks hit the barrier simultaneously, "Singularity" actively diffuses their energy across the barrier, counting their impacts as a "single technique", ultimately absorbing the chakra into the mark.  The user may absorb any ninjutsu technique that externalizes chakra (Rasengan, Raikiri, Fireball etc etc) outside the opponent's immediate person. Absorbed chakra may be added to the user's reserves, and if they possess "Judgement", they can redeploy techniques of that element assuming they possess the requisite skill

    Weaknesses: This barrier produces a spherical shield against incoming externalized chakra, as defined by "Inhaling Maw". Like "Inhaling Maw" it does not protect against taijutsu or weaponry, however it will strip away Chakra Flow. The user must reach the appropriate level of bloodline progression to use this technique. While utilizing Inhaling Maw the user must stand in place (they cannot walk or run while absorbing techniques). This leaves them somewhat vulnerable if only for the short period of time it takes for absorption to occur (absorption generally occurs within a single post however depending on how large the ninjutsu is, some may take longer than others).  While they do not need to have the necessary elements to redeploy a technique, they must have the appropriate fighting style.

    The Idea (For Mods)  The Mark is essentially a genetically-ingrained Fuinjutsu. In the right hands, a Mikiri with Fuinjutsu and Ninjutsu can access Barrier Ninjutsu. "Singularity" extends the mark into a bubble that defuses externalized chakra attacks over its surface and absorbs them into the mark, like a drain. As per "Inhaling Maw" rules, the mark cannot absorb chakra through barrier C-rank and above, thus the Mark is actually exposed, as the barrier is extending from it's edges.
