Tin Quiver [Private] Empty Tin Quiver [Private]

Post by Satori Ryuutei Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:36 pm

Satori, as promised, had decided to take Tin shopping a few days after their technique training. They'd installed the techniques and chakra control into his daily regimen, and thanks to his improved body he was actually making progress thanks to it. He was steadily growing from street rat, to proper ninja. A few more weeks and he may even have him at a level he was comfortable bringing him on missions.

For now, though, they needed to get him armed. Satori had gathered a bit of his savings, he had some things to buy anyway for himself. Stretching out, the young man's gaze trailed to the side to examine the teen at his side. Tin still didn't enjoy crowds, understandable, but he no longer got odd looks. The only one that did was Satori--but people had gradually gotten used to the young man since his Academy Days, now.

Walking with his hands tucked into his pockets, Satori glanced down and arched a brow curiously at the teen.

"I know you want a bow and arrows. I want to get you some clothing that's made for you instead of my younger siblings hand-me-downs and the rags you used to wear. Anything else you want?" He wasn't going to drop a ton of Ryo on him. He didn't even do that for Riku. But if he was after anything in particular, it was a rarity so he didn't mind getting it for him.

Satori had his own shopping list of things that he wanted to gather either way. He had a few more base things to purchase before he went looking for a shop that did customize, high-class weapons and armor. Once he was properly equipped, he'd start saving up to officially approach the Mizukage in regards to a clan district.

Tin mostly kept his head down, not giving people trouble, so they’d not give him any in return. He was completely beneath notice now, he didn’t really even have to worry about stares. He dstill didn’t like being touched however, so he kept away from others. It appeared that people still gave odd looks though, from what he glanced. However, it was toward Satori rather than himself. Which was understandable, since compared to himself, the Ryuutei guy was practically a giant.

He didn’t answer right away. He was getting his bow and arrows. And Satori was getting different clothing. He thought about it. He grumbled for a few moments in thought. He brought his memory back to when he persued the stores while stationed opposite them. Searching for anything he ever wanted to try.

“I think I need… Arm Guards. When I first tried the bow, the string hurt my wrist and fingers, so I need to protect them until I get better at it.” he said. Of course, it didn’t need to be anything particularly fancy. “I don’t think there’s much else for just training, though.” he muttered. “Maybe a cloak, so I can wrap that around me at night.”

He didn’t really know what else there was to get. He had food and shelter provided for him, he didn’t really think about what it’d cost Satori, he just assumed it’d get added to the debt he’s having to pay off.

Satori glanced down and arched a brow as Tin actually contemplated wanting something. He had asked, but honestly, he hadn't expected a real response. The comment on a cloak and arm guards caused a low hum of thought before he nodded once in agreement and lead the way toward the first shop. The weapons shop held all manner of things, from kunai and shuriken to swords, bows, crossbows, spears and more. Satori had a specific idea in mind for himself, but first, he wanted to make sure Tin got a decent weapon.

Carefully examining each bow, testing them and measuring them up to Tin's body, he eventually found a recurve made out of horn and ash. The bow was light, and about the right size to be a composite short bow for the teen. Content with his choice, he arched a brow at Tin, making sure that the weapon in question was alright by his standards. If he wasn't comfortable using it then it didn't matter if Satori approved or not.

If he didn't like it, there were plenty of other options for him to choose from, after all.

It looked as though Satori agreed with him. He walked with him into a shop, entering second. He perused the place, glancing about at the weapons on store. Or rather, the weapon. There was only one kind that he actually wanted, and that kind only had one kind of its own. He looked at the bow there. But something also caught his eye. He didn’t want it, but it looked interesting. He inspected the Crossbow there, it looked interesting, but clunky. He ultimately decided on the weird looking bow.

Its limbs were weirdly curved. He peered at the plaque identifying it. Seems it was a ‘recurve bow’. He wasn’t sure what it was different about it other than its peculiar make, but he shrugged and aimed to pick it up, before walking to Satori with it in his hands. “I choose this one.” He says. Then he walked over to the quivers. There were only one kind of arrows there as well, broadhead. He shrugged, and picked up a quiver, placing it on top of the bow.

Then he stood and waited for Satori to finish with what he needed, then he’d be able to pay and they’d move on.

Satori grabbed an extra few bundles of arrows and steel wire for Tin after he made it clear which one he wanted specifically. After that was done he went around and grasped a standard combat kunai blade as well. Examining the edge a moment before nodding one, seeming satisfied with it for now and placing it with the bow and arrows in Tin's arms. "For emergency mobility with the arrows using the wire, and an emergency sidearm in case you're out of arrows or get ambushed," he explained simply with a slight smile before moving on.

After that, he went about gathering the items that he personally wanted for himself. Not many here, as most of his ryo was going to be spent at the chemist. But a few things were added, including steel wire, shuriken and throwing kunai.

Satisfied with this assortment he paid for the bundles and stopped before the exit to carefully place the kunai in with his others, the shuriken into the opposite hoster on his other thigh. Adding the wire to what he already had, before turning to face Tin and examining everything he'd purchased. Letting out a low hum.

"Quiver but no belt to hold it. Let's go to the armory next to get you proper bags and belts, as well as bracers. They should have clothing that will fit you properly as well there."

Tin looked down at the steel wire, he wondered what that was for. Maybe for extra string. It would be a little awkward if it’d snap during so,ething. He then tilted his head at the kunai knife. That was a little strange. He looked up at Satori as he gave his explanation. He let out a small sigh, then nodded. “Okay.” he replied.

He then waited as Satori perused. He stood away from the door, not wanting to seem as though he’d just dash out with the things before paying. Though he didn’t look as much like a street rat anymore, he still felt somewhat self-conscious about carrying all the stuff he’s carrying. He watched as Satori finally paid for the thing he needed, some more wire, shuriken and kunai, and made his way out. Throwing things felt a little weaker, using the bow should provide a little bit of an edge in ranged warfare.

As he left the shop with his items paid for, Tin tucked the blade into his pocket, and slung the bow over his shoulder, unstrung, since he heard it was bad for the bow to be kept like that. He followed Satori further. He carried the quiver under his other arm, following the larger man as they moved toward the armoury. “Okay.” he said, again. He didn’t really even need much, just the armguards and the cloak. He inspected his new bow on the way there.

“This looks pretty good.” he said, to no one in particular.

Satori glanced back as Tin commented on the bows appearance, even seemed pleased. A smile formed on his lips with a bemused chuckled. He could show, in his own way, appreciation it would seem.

"I'm glad you like it, use it well," he stated simply in reply, walking forward with a bemused expression. It was nice knowing that the teen was slowly opening up, however slowly. The little things were starting to show that made up his personality besides the wall he threw up so defensively all the time.

As they neared the primary armory, Satori slid the door open and entered. Calling for the woman behind the counter whom looked up. After a short explanation, she gave a hum and grabbed a measurement tape, walking toward Tin. Satori gave him a look that clearly said not to panic like he normally did when people tried to touch him. He knew he didn't like it, but this was required for proper clothing.

After a few moments of measuring, the woman brought out several articles for him to try on. A bit later and they had three outfits for him to mix and match, switching out as they got dirty. The fabric was designed to be comfortable and sturdy, nothing fancy by any means. The next step was a pair of leather bracers for his arms, as well as a hip pouch, belt to hold the quiver, and a cloak.

Once that was settled, Satori nodded once. Satisfied by the difference with a slight smile. With everything on, Tin was actually looking like a proper archer and ninja, now.

Tin scowled at Satori. “I won’t know until I use it.” he said quickly. He continued to walk to Satori’s side, albeit a little further back. The people milled about. This was the market after all, he used to make some pretty good coin here until he was thrown out by the marketplace guards. The first time they just threw him onto a different street. He just returned the next day. Then they caught him again and the beatings began. He hadn’t returned until now.

They entered the armoury. He looked around as Satori spoke to the woman, looking at the equipment there. Leather. Steel. He wondered what he’d look like in the latter. He shook the stupid notion out of his head. He felt his skin prickle and turned to see the woman walking over to him with a measuring tape. His scowl became a dark thundercloud as he glared at Satori gave him a look.

He shifted uncomfortably as the woman measured him. He didn’t like people touching him. He should punch her. But he refrained from doing so. Just barely. She managed to finish before his instincts took over, and she went off to give him some things. He gave one final glare to Satori for the experience, then sighed and tried on the clothing. He had the bundle of clothing placed into his hands, with a pouch and belt, then a cloak on top of that. He went away to put on some of it, before walking out. He looked at Satori nodding, then put on the hood, now he felt as though he couldn’t be seen, rather than overlooked. That felt better. “This is okay.” he mumbled.

Satori's eyes softened as Tin allowed himself to be measured. If begrudgingly. Definitely, progress being made, and that alone was worth it. If he continued to grow socially he could begin learning properly from others, and from that came even further strength. As was proof by how many connections, training partners, and combat he had dealt with over the years since his Academy days and before even then.

Nodding once as Tin put up the hood and seemed to relax a bit he smiled. He definitely wasn't Jounin Commander material, but a skilled ANBU in progress? That sounded quite likely. Bemused, Satori turned and began to head toward the door once everything was paid for.

"Once more stop," Satori stated idly, before turning and moving in the direction of the final store. This one smelled of herbs, chemicals, and gunpowder. Scrolls and other items decorated the walls, and Satori grabbed a bag of pills, several explosive tags, and an assortment of bombs and scrolls before he finally seemed satisfied. Making the final purchase quickly enough and carefully sorting them through his own bags and holsters. He placed a bag of said chakra pills into the boys hands last.

"To help make up for your low stamina," he explained simply, "Don't over-use them, though. They replenish your energy but taking too many can put you in a bed for several days," with this simple explanation he then moved toward the door with their purchases. Heading back toward the village edge; perhaps it was time to take him on a mission or two. Letting him earn his own Ryo would probably be stimulating for the teen.

He waited until everything was paid for, then moved to follow Satori with a bundle of clothes in his arms. He huffed, he had to crane his head over it in order to see right. He moved the door with his shoulder and walked with Satori as he went into another shop. He brought some things. A container holding some clicky things, some tags and other weird things and paper. He paid, and then he followed him further.

Satori spoke to him again. He had to not over use something, he guessed it was one of the things that he had brought. The clicky or paper ones, he guessed it was the clicky things. Some kind of medicine? He frowned as Satori explained further. It sounded like downright poison if he ate too much, then again eating too much of anything can be harmful to you.

He followed the man back to the edge of town, glancing idly around at the place. They were leaving the market, and his suspicion that someone might take offence to his presence ebbed.

Now he just had to worry about thieves as he walked.
