Unique Abilities:
Owl-Eyes: Tin has rather good eyes. They are sharp, and have potential to figuratively pierce the heavens themselves. However, there’s a difference between having good eyes and seeing, distinguishing from a distance, and having proficiency in using them. Tin can concentrate his physical and mental efforts, giving him ++ perception, in exchange for a – to strength and intelligence. This cannot push his perception beyond S-rank.
One-handed Seals: Pretty straightforward. A player may weave hand seals with only one hand. This results in a one tier loss of Coordination for that hand regarding hand seals.
Appearance:
Tin is a scruffy looking individual. One can have trouble determining his gender, due to his soft jawline, slightly upturned nose and scruffy but glossy hair. By far his most apparent feature are his owl-like, piercing eyes. Or eye, since most of the time his right one is hidden behind a layer of hair that flows down to mouth level. He’s neither soft, nor muscular. He has the body of someone who has eaten a mediocre amount of times, somewhat lean. He isn’t very tall, all evidence points to that not changing even as he grows older. His body is completely used to hardship, to the point where comforts most take for granted are foreign to him. Even sleeping on a comfortable bed makes his back ache due to the change.
He seems to prefer to keep himself nondescript. He wears a raggedy, dirty looking shirt with short sleeves and keeps his arms bare. He has a thick piece of cloth wrapped around his lower waist that keeps his trousers on, which are made of black cotton, and are well worn. He wears just as worn tabi clothing. All and all, he appears to be going for the under-the-radar street rat approach. He rarely wears his forehead protector in public, only doing so if he really, absolutely has to, since it often gives him away.
History:
Tin isn’t from Kirigakure. Nor any of the major Villages for that matter. One day he wasn’t there, the next he was. In truth, Tin doesn’t know where he’s from, nor does he care. Somewhere, in a far off land, his mother and father were killed with him somehow, someway being the survivor, and travelled the earth. He just wandered, searching for no place in particular. He gained and lost money easily. The very last leg of his journey was on a boat. When he ran out of coin, they dumped him on the nearest piece of land, and he continued from there.
Eventually he stumbled into Kirigakure, weary and tired. At first he thought it was just a small village like any other the fog obscured his view constantly. He walked on, and on, but there was seemingly no end to the village. It was like a forest of buildings. It wasn’t like anything he had seen before, so he stayed. It didn’t take long for him to carve out a piece of territory for himself. He just picked a spot and begged for food. He was good at that, he thought, as he had gotten coins from here and there.
But soon he found it wasn’t enough. He didn’t care about the squalor, but hunger wasn’t something he enjoyed, even if he was used to it. He entered into the Academy after seeing other people his age, looking stronger and… Normal. It was somewhat tough work, he had to also complete an education in order to read. He didn’t really find a weapon he wanted to use in the academy, but while in the forest he found a bunch of bows and arrows and practiced with them instead until the hunters chased him off. Despite his ‘quirks’ and difficulties, he managed to pass the test to a reasonable degree.
Personality:
Standoffish and paranoid. Those are the two words that describe Tin the best. He isn’t one for social interactions, he’s more than happy to be alone, because that’s the way it’s always been. He’s very blunt, almost to a fault. If he thinks something, he won’t hesitate to say it, though that doesn’t extend to people he knows would kill or punish him for doing so. He can be rude, easily irritable and doesn’t seem to care about his personal hygiene. The reason for that however is because he simply doesn’t trust most people. He doesn’t enter public spas in case they nick his stuff (also most of the time he can’t even afford it). He doesn’t enter people’s homes for any reason other than to steal, and especially not when he’s invited. If it doesn’t have an apparent quick exit, he’s not entering. A person being very nice to him for no reason? Doubly suspicious. He’d rather splash some water on himself from the sea or rivers.
Despite it all however, once someone’s won his trust, he’ll follow them with dogmatic loyalty. Completely unshakable in his determination not to betray them in the knowledge that they would do the same for him. Raging anger is common to him, most of the time he doesn’t really even mean it. However, if he is betrayed (or has perceived it), his fury is more akin to a boiling pot being held down. Tranquil on the outside, a maelstrom on the inside.
He may not the smartest around thanks to his lack of a proper education, but he can have a fair amount of guile and cunning to make up for it. The best solution is usually the easiest one. No need to waste energy on a lost cause, stockpiling food is important and so forth. He doesn’t really have any sense of modesty, but he knows that not wearing clothes is universally a bad idea.
