With the new heart under her belt being a success when it came to getting it in her, Kanna had a whole new brand of Ninjutsu she could focus on improving actively. Katon would come to be a great use for long-range in general, and would give her a much better edge than what she'd have without it. To summarize, she was extremely greatful, mostly to both Iyoshi and Yami, and didn't plan on wasting what had been given to her. Now it was just a matter of effectively training it.

There was another matter for her to handle first, though. She forms half of the Clone handseal and splits her reservoir, dedicating it to a clone of its own sentience. A plume of smoke comes into being beside her, and from it emerges a shadow clone, which positions itself behind her. Since she was wearing just a black tanktop with a white rope sash and a black pair of pants she wouldn't have to get her clothing removed to get that out of the way. Upon her back was her usual large scroll, too. Casually, Kanna's shadow clone removes the sealing ink pen from within her hip pouch, then unseals a pot of ink from within it.

It was a rather informal setting to attend to it in, but she'd forgotten to get it out of the way. Besides, it wouldn't take that long anyways; Kanna knows a good amount about Fuuinjutsu, and what she intends to do with the preexisting heart seal is no exception. The shadow clone applies more ink to the completed sealing formula, imbuing the pen with chakra so that it can micromanage adding the trigger that the seal itself would have and its ability to have a trigger.

While the clone is working at that as well as trying to make sure the ink dries, Kanna is trying something of her own. She continuously flows threads from her mouth, trying to imbue them with her own chakra. Since they were a part of her, something such at that should be quite the easy task. It was easier said than done, though, because of the specific chakra in question, healing chakra; Medics always had the problem of needing to be close up to effectively heal people. So she wanted to change that about herself personally.

After some personal assessment and calculating the distance between herself and the tree, Kanna and her shadow clone back up until they're at least exactly thirty-five meters away. From there, the woman spews forth the threads, allowing them to thrust forward at impressive speeds in one fell swoop. They come to a complete halt just five meters off from the tree itself, which is what Kanna comes up with as a conclusion as soon as they've stopped. Given the time to assess the range, she confirms that the threads have a maximum of thirty meters of range on them.

"That'll be more than enough, though." Kanna mumbles incomprehensibly to herself at that point. It's from there that the female proceeds to retracts the threads back close to her body. The threaded woman removes a kunai from her hip pouch and slashes across her wrist in one brief motion, before tucking it back away. Instead of letting the jiongu threads immediately stitch the wound up, she plugs the threads into the surrounding area and then begins to flow healing chakra along them in the close proximity.

As soon as the healing chakra comes in contact, the wound starts to close up as her cell division rate multiplies rapidly, effectively sealing the wound with the aid of standard Medical Nin procedure. She retracts the threads afterwards, swallowing them. It's around this time that the clone's completed the conversion of her heart-containment seal into a transcription seal, based on the trigger of her own heart beat ceasing or her heart being destroyed.

Learned - Transcription Seal: Organic Exchange | Marionette's Treatment

Kanna disperses her shadow clone shortly after the completion of it augmenting the seal upon her back. Since that was out of the way, Kanna could truly get into the thick of things. The first thing she wanted to actually develop aside from Fuuinjutsu was some sort of Ijutsu that would help her track things more easily. Since she was working on developing a much more blitz-based fighting style she knew for a fact that she'd need the visionary capabilities to effectively fight. That paired with Sensory would be handy, if she ever got around to actually learning it.

For now, all she could work with was Ijutsu, though. And so without a second thought in mind the Chuunin brings her palms together, lining them up with one another and generating chakra from her core. She figured it'd be something related to channeling chakra to her eyes, to affect her optical nerves. It'd be like a much more focused variation of Chakra Enhanced Strength, but something like Chakra Enhanced Sight instead. 'That sounds horrible for a name though..' The female muses, shutting her eyes and imagining her tenketsu system.

Likewise, there were various tenketsu she'd have to expand to properly flow the chakra to her eyes quick enough. After recalling which tenketsu she'd have to use, Kanna shifts her fingers, beginning to form handseals in accordance for the handseals that would address those very tenketsu. As she does this, Kanna channels chakra from her core, concentrating to the best of her ability as it's flowed. "... I'll call it... Cateye." She mumbles to herself, feeling the chakra start to stock up within her optics.

Kanna snaps her eyes open upon forming the last handseal and flooding chakra to both of her eyes, seeing her vision go bright for a moment. When it clears up, it's much more crisper, allowing her to see minute details a lot more easily than she did prior. It was an impressive display to say in the least, though she didn't want to burn her chakra on the newly created technique. So she flows the chakra back away from her eyes, and brings the chakra to a standstill once it's been circulated out, allowing her sight to turn back to normal.

    Learned - Cateye

Next on her so-called bucket list was learning to properly channel elemental chakra. Since she already was well-aware of how to do such a thing with raw chakra, demonstrated with Cateye, all she really had to do here was pull it off with elemental chakra. So it was just the same general path, while involving the properties of Katon chakra that make it Katon chakra. Following that mindset, Kanna removes a kunai from within her hip pouch and decides to put this assumption of hers to work.

The female begins to gather chakra from her core and starts to channel it into the blade of the weapon itself. As it's channeled, Kanna begins to change the nature of the chakra itself, altering its properties to be more befitting of the Katon nature. As the chakra pours into the kunai, the blade itself heats up more and more with the passage of time. And finally, flames burst to life around it, encompassing the specific portion of the weapon in a fiery aura so to speak. Kanna inspects it silently, peering at the untamed flow of chakra through the weapon.

"Good enough, it looks like." Kanna remarks, before dismissing the flow of chakra to the weapon. With a brief spin of the weapon by its pommel, the Chuunin tucks it into her beige hip pouch and proceeds to unseal something from the large scroll upon her back. As soon as a plume of smoke engulfs the area encompassing the scroll in question, she grasps hold of what's been unsealed and swings it out of coverage, revealing a shinai. The woman spins the weapon within her grasp, then gets started on the next part of her chakra flow training.

The chakra begins to knead itself within her as it assumes the Katon nature again, donning the properties of flames as it's channeled to the Shinai. In one fell swoop the Shinai is lathered in flames, giving her the opportunity to do what she intended. All she had to do was generate enough air pressure to create a wave of it, and then essentially set the wave ablaze--yeah it was easier said than done. The female arcs the weapon over her shoulder and secures a two-handed grip of it, bracing herself for her attempt.

And from there, Kanna swings in a downward arc, a trail of flames left in the weapon's wake as she swings it down rapidly, allowing the Katon chakra to continue flaring through the weaponry. Just as intended, air pressure is generated as her Shinai trails along, attracting the flames as it does so. She disengages the flow as soon as the weaponry slams into the ground, generating the remainder of necessary air pressure at the apex of the swing. Naturally, the flames still remaining are attracted to it, and thus wrap around the air in question.

The Katon chakra serves as sustenance for it as it's sent thrusting along the ground at speeds similar to what she offered behind her swing, moving on to combust against the tree that it progressed toward. The tree itself is rocked to the core by the force of the attack, slamming into the ground as a result of its short-lived confrontation with the blast released from her chakra flow-infused attack.

Learned - Chakra Flow | Blade Beam

Practice Makes Perfect Empty Re: Practice Makes Perfect

Kanna steadily levels her breathing out, before going ahead and pushing on ahead to her next task. She'd been procrastinating on practicing Kenjutsu since she'd just recently attained it, but seeing how well learning some Katon went she figured it wouldn't hurt to step out of her comfort zone. Following that mindset, the female forms the Clone handseal and divides her chakra into fourths, creating a total of three shadow clones. Once she's created the shadow clones, she hops back and acquires some distance, tightening her hold on the Shinai within her grasp at that point in time. To better acquaint herself with close-combat, she wanted to be faster--much faster than she was back within the valley. If she was fast and was good at dealing damage, paired with Chakra Enhanced Strength, she could definitely dispatch foes before they could get to the level that the person they faced did. It was just a matter of the right timing.

The female lowers her center of balance and secures the Shinai in a one-hnaded hold, sliding her foot back briefly. Then in one quick burst she zooms on forward, accelerating towards the three clones in question while they brace themselves for her incoming attack. She swings in a horizontal arc, to which they retort with sequenced downward swings of their own duplicates. Upon noticing this, Kanna urges herself mentally to move herself and the Shinai out of the way, not wanting to get caught by the triple blow. She kicks off of the ground in one fell swoop, and forms half of the Tiger handseal, generating chakra within her person. Chakra flares throughout her being and she zips off to the right in a burst of speed, leaving the myriad of clones unable to land the attack. She stops short about five meters away from them and springs on forward, swinging down towards the left-most one as she accelerates toward it. The other two intervene by swinging upwards with the intention of leaving her guard open, prompting her to respond quickly once more.

Since she's up in the air this time, she can't just thrust away at high speeds. Instead, chakra circulates into her hand, enhancing her overall physical aptitude. In one fell swoop the female kicks it into high gear, sending a portion of her reservoir hustling into her grasp. As the attacks hit her Shinai, her hold remains in place, allowing her to effectively slam the clone into the ground with the force behind the chakra enhanced blow. 'One down..!' She muses to herself, skidding across the ground. As she slowly ascends from her crouched position, the clones dash on towards her, forcing her to continuously back up and parry the incoming attacks while her strength is enhanced. She can't maintain it for long, though, so instead of trying to face both of them directly she leaps back, flaring her chakra within her form as she leaps back. She musters as much chakra control up as she can manage as a portion of her reservoir is harnessed, attempting to offer even the slightest bit of a distraction while she's hopping away.

And it works. The portion of chakra invested is utilized to form a brief Bunshin, stuck in place within the air. As soon as the pair of shadow clones strike it down where it stands, it disperses into flickering contours. This gives her the very chance she needs to lean down for a brief moment, before bursting on towards them in a great burst of speed. She quite literally hits the top speed that she can muster at that very moment, blazing on towards the pair of shadow clones at high speeds while they're still bewildered by the facade.

And then she shoots off to the left of one of them, before performing a zig-zagging motion that sends her zooming right for one. Kanna slashes right into its side as she passes by, leaving a great gash that forces it to disperse on the spot. It's from there that she quickly blitzes to a different angling, and before the second shadow clone can realize it, cuts it open too, carving into its side with tremendous movement capabilities. At the apex of her assault, the woman comes to a quick standstill, gasping lightly at that point and dropping the Shinai. "Alright.. that's... definitely what I wanted to create." The female murmurs to herself, falling into a sitting position. It definitely took a lot out of her but it was an incredible display of the very agility that she wanted behind her techniques. Paired with Chakra Enhanced Strength, her abilities would be even greater, and she couldn't even imagine how frightening what she could pull off would be if she opened the Eight Inner Gates. Even with only two open, she was confident that that level of power would be tremendous, albeit dangerous with her limited vision. It just meant she'd have to focus on her opponents a lot more, though.

"Just a little further to go. I'm still not satisfied with where I'm at, but it's at least a good start, I guess. I'll get there sooner... hopefully." Kanna murmurs to herself, huffing and puffing.

Learned - Sonic Blade | Blitzkrieg | Afterimage

She was finally getting somewhere, and that's all that mattered. The female brings her arms up over her head and stretches, linking her fingers together as she does so. It felt good to just take it easy now that she'd gotten one of the big things off of her list. What was next was Katon, though, and she knew it'd be a pain in the ass to manage. There were lots of techniques to learn, most of which she'd have to go to Konoha's library in hopes of reading up on.... though she had a fair deal of knowledge about them already in the first place. It was just a matter of effort.

The female stands up briefly after her recovery period, and inhales for a moment. Before she actually giving a go with the Katon though, there was another thing she wanted to give a go at first. Kanna scoops up her Shinai and makes a confident stride on towards one of the trees. Once she's reached it, she lowers her body once more and tightens her hold on her Shinai. From there, the woman starts to flow chakra on into her hand, concentrating it to her singular grip to the best of her ability.

At the apex of the flow of chakra to her hand, she starts to apply even more chakra than what she's accustomed to, effectively enhancing her strength even beyond what she was well-adjusted to. With the enhancement in place, Kanna primes her arm back, tightening her hold to the point that the hardwood begins to splinter within her grasp. And in one fell swoop, she swings in a horizontal arc when close enough to the tree, demonstrating impressive speed in that single speed, packed with intensified power. The attack proves to be far beyond what she expected in terms of power.

As soon as she thrashes the Shinai into the tree with her enhanced strength, it proves to be too much. Not only does a good chunk of the tree trunk literally crumble beneath the force, but the Shinai itself shatters within her grasp, after several large cracks formed in it from her grasp in the first place, proving to be too potent. With the literal destruction of her training weapon having occurred, Kanna pretty much had to call it quits with practicing Kenjutsu for the time being. Luckily she'd already pretty much finished doing all that she needed, and had even developed her Chakra Enhanced Strength further. She felt like this was a comfortable point to stop at.

Learned - Chakra Enhanced Strength Level Two (S)
