Tag Hunt 20

Mission:

As Ren entered onto a new floor of the castle, he would be slightly awestruck by the fact that there was no walls and he couldn't see the ceiling, the floor just expanding out into an infinite dark void with nothing to see. He would release a few Katon techniques in different direction just to see what would happen, or if he could see anything waiting for him out in the dark. With the exception of temporary lighting up the area, the flames did nothing, and after travelling a few meters away he couldn't even see them any more. His sensing technique was still active from before, but just too make sure he would activate his Seismic sensing technique. It had a slightly larger range than his normal sensing and would let him know if anything touching the ground appeared and give him some kind of warning. Moving forward into the inky black abyss, Ren would hear a variety of different sounds but he wouldn't be able to place what they were or where they were coming from, but sensing no chakra in the immediate area and nothing touching the ground beyond that he would continue further. The was an ominous feeling in the air the further he would go, and he was starting to fear that this floor was as wide as the entire castle and that he was going to have to search every inch of it for the tag. More sounds would echo out, only this time they would be slightly recognizable, sounding like the beating of wings and the roar or caw of a creature. Realizing that was the reason he didn't sense anyone the ground, Ren would launch a fireball into the air to see hundreds of winged creatures soaring above him. They almost looked like human-sized bats, but not exactly. The fire would get their attention though and as the light of the flame faded from his view, Ren heard the beating of wings pick up. Knowing that the creatures were all likely about to swarm him Ren would release a Katon technique that surrounded him and spread out, but to his surprise there were no creatures near him. Launching another ball of fire into the air he saw that the creatures were now moving faster than before, and just as the fire reached them Ren would see one that did not look like the others, the skin tone of it slightly different and a tag on its chest. Realizing what he must do, Ren would fly up using his jutsu to try to get the tag, but the closer he got the faster the creatures would move. He couldn't move through them because they were so tightly knitted and moving so fast that when he tried he ended up covered in cuts from the multiple flying beasts. Enraged Ren would release Katon technique after Katon technique slowly dwindling down the pact of monsters until he was finally able to reach the one with the tag. Ripping it off the beast, Ren found himself standing on the floor near the stairs as if he had just entered the floor, standing before him was a large statue of the beasts he had seen. It's glowing eyes would fade from the statue as a new doorway opened next to it and Ren would move on.
