Rotwang had been directing his "Sensing Technique" to detect where the route to the seventh floor was located, and this took several minutes again just as it had been doing for his past several excursions through the castle's lower floors. However, he did manage to get a ping for it in the end and this led him back to the giant tree again.
So...the passage to the seventh floor is in this tree somewhere...Oh well, perhaps that should have been obvious to me from the beginning with how strange and inexplicable this castle has been at several points during my investigations of it...
Rotwang mused silently in this manner while climbing the giant tree, and he did so without using any special means of transport like his puppet armor so that he could conserve and restore his chakra for any potential future explorations of the castle. At the top of the giant tree, he found a small switch that he activated to open a hole in the sixth floor's ceiling and then, he clambered through to finally reach the seventh floor. After his arrival on the seventh floor's chamber, he began using his "Sensing Technique" as was his norm by this point in this special mission series of his in the "Menzagakure" village. Fortunately, he did not find any traps waiting for him here and instead, he was able to discover the relatively well-hidden location of the seventh tag fairly quickly too, much to his great surprise.
This seventh tag ended up being in the mouth of the Kirin statue which stood at the center of the chamber with each of the other four holy beast statues standing in each of the four corners of the current floor's chamber, as though guarding it from intruders. Thankfully, these did not come to life and attack Rotwang like the stone golems had on the fourth floor. So, he finished up this task by ensuring that he collected the tag and the head of the Kirin statue in the mouth of which he had found it so that he could hand both over to the local authorities to serve as proof of his progress on the seventh day of this special mission series he had been doing so far. Finally, he pocketed the tag and the Kirin statue's head that it was still attached to before heading off to the eighth floor.
