Rotwang awoke in the makeshift forward base that he had set up for himself in the castle on the third of his castle exploration days and after readying himself by equipping his gear (e.g., his puppet armor and his physician-scientist attire) and finishing his daily morning rituals according to his usual norm, he made his way across the third floor. Soon after that, he managed to use his "Sensing Technique" to detect the path to the fourth floor which involved pressing a hidden switch that caused a long, thick rope that had multiple knots on it to come down from the circular opening in the ceiling of the third floor that connected it to the fourth one after being exposed by this mechanism.
Naturally, because this was going to lead him up to the fourth floor of the castle successfully, he started to climb it by using the knots as footholds. Consequently, he managed to reach the fourth floor without issue, and throughout the trip upstairs and up till his arrival on the fourth floor, he made sure to keep his "Sensing Technique" fully active so that he could detect danger and hopefully avoid becoming ensnared in it.
Besides that, he was also using this technique to scan for the presence of any tags just as he had done previously. After several minutes of searching, he noticed that he received pings from the walls of the fourth floor which led him to discover a series of what seemed to be stone golems situated in an equidistant pattern next to each of the four walls of the fourth floor. The last of the pings led him to the location of the fourth tag which happened to be located underwater in a small reflective pool set into the center of the fourth floor's main area
Hmm, this is presumably going to be that tired old cliché...namely that specific one wherein the removal of the tag from its location will cause the stone golems to come to life and attack the offender...Well, no time like the present, as the saying goes in the vernacular...
Rotwang mused thus silently as he looked between the stone golems lining the walls of the fourth floor and the small, shallow, reflective pool wherein the fourth tag lay daring him to come and claim it at potentially great risk to his health. Then, he decided to spring the obvious trap regardless of the danger since he needed to progress with his tag collection. So, he reached into the pool with one hand and began to remove the tag in question. In response, as he had surmised, he saw the 4 stone golems come to life and move to attack him. Therefore, he chose to attempt evasion of their attack by deploying his puppet armor's flight module to fly up to the ceiling of the fourth floor's area and managed to do so successfully just in time. Then, he deployed another of his puppet armor's mechanisms, this one being the hair harpoon launcher which shot the 10 spikes that comprised the offensive part of it at B-tier velocity toward each of the 4 golems in turn.
Fortunately, the heavy bodies of the golems made it so that they could not evade his attack in time and thus, he managed to destroy each of them in serial order. Then, he landed next to the pool on the fourth floor's main area and quickly set about collecting the tag from the pool so that he could hand it over to the local authorities to serve as proof of his progress on the fourth day of this ongoing special mission series. Finally, he pocketed the tag with the tile from the pool to which it was still attached and then set up his makeshift base camp in one of the relatively safe areas on the fourth floor in preparation for the next day's castle exploration.
