Rotwang had returned to the "Mugen Base Camp" after the previous day of his exploration of the mysterious, floating "Mugen Castle" and had rested as much as possible until the arrival of next day of his special mission series.
Another day, another castle exploration round...so here goes something...O ye Norns, please do not let any undue trouble find me in the castle today...
Rotwang thought silently as he readied himself for the day's work that lay ahead of him now and as he had done on the previous two days, he made sure to equip his puppet armor, the "Tálōs Mk-I", to his person along with the remaining explosive tags that he had originally acquired as part of his Iwa shinobi package. Along with that, he also ensured to don his physician-scientist attire since it was his ensemble of choice for almost any situation. Then, he took the home-brew map of the "Mugen Castle" that he had been creating thus far to guide his way through it and headed off to the castle in question, moving at D-tier velocity in the interest of conserving his energy as much as possible. Naturally, moving up the chains required him to employ the basic "Supernatural Walking Practice" as he had been doing so far to get up to the castle and its grounds. Once he reached the castle grounds, he noted the gate guard who had re-spawned again after being destroyed by him on each of the previous two days
So much for hoping the gate guard would not be there today...Oh well, it cannot be helped...Now then, how should this opponent be dealt with today?
Rotwang stopped short of approaching the gate guard and started by devising a handful of new action plans that would allow him to deal with this obstacle to his entry into the castle's interior areas. After several minutes of thought, he set about carrying out the one among them that he thought would be easiest and more energy-efficient. To that end, he started by catching the guard's attention by letting out a loud whistle and waiting for said opponent to charge at him. Then, he maneuvered the guard to the edge of the rocky landmass that the castle had and jumped off while activating his puppet armor's flight module just in time to evade the guard.
That will suffice for this ongoing investigation of the gate guard's combat prowess...However, this is getting to be quite tedious...Hmm, how to resolve this issue?
Rotwang thought silently as he watched the castle's gate guard get destroyed by crashing to the ground far below the floating castle, while he was safely held aloft in the air by his puppet armor's twin titanium wings. After that, he flew over to the castle gate and entered it quickly to avoid wasting any more time. Once inside, he made his way through the hallway that lay beyond the castle's main entrance, he then proceeded through the first floor as quickly as possible and reached the second floor by flying up to it using his puppet armor's flight module, thus avoiding the trick slide staircase that connected the two
Now then, it is time to find a path to the third floor for adding the third tag to my growing collection...
With that thought in mind, Rotwang searched high and low on the second floor using his "Sensing Technique" and eventually found a hidden revolving door which he activated with the associated chakra-powered lever system that he used to ascend to the third floor of this mysterious, floating "Mugen Castle". Once there, he spotted the tag of the third floor resting on one of the branches of a large, crystal chandelier that was affixed to the center of the third-floor chamber's ceiling. So, he started to make his way over to it, but unfortunately, he fell prey to a new trap which turned out to be a large hidden chasm in the floor of the chamber
A new trap has been encountered here today...Hmm, it would be prudent to mark it on my map...
Rotwang thought silently as he examined what seemed to be steel spikes covering the base of the chasm trap that he had triggered unwittingly. Still, thanks to his quick thinking in deploying his puppet armor's flight module, he managed to avoid getting impaled on those steel spikes in the third floor's chasm trap. Finally, he flew up to the crystal chandelier and extricated the third tag along with a piece of the branch it had been wrapped around to serve as proof of his progress in exploring the castle
Hmm...this process of having to confront that gate guard every time is getting to be tiresome...Therefore, it would behoove me to devise a solution that would allow me to avoid that in future investigation rounds in this mysterious floating castle...Ah, perhaps, it would be wise to set up camp in whatever area is explored on a given day...That would also allow me to collect all the tags and hand them over to the local authorities all at once whenever the end of this special mission series comes around...So, let it be written...so let it be done, then...
Rotwang thought thus silently as he devised a new plan of action to deal with the castle's many challenges, and having decided on his course going forward, he then set about gathering the raw materials that he would need to set up a temporary base camp inside the castle itself so that he could return to it for dropping off his findings henceforth.
