One Minute to Midnight

Ren would arrive at the Grand Konoha Training Facility in the early morning as he often had in the past, it had been a few days since he had done any serious training. With his missions with Zenaku tomorrow looming over his head, Ren wanted to ensure he had mastered all the techniques that he could as he didn't know what they would run into. He already had a plethora of techniques, but he was always looking for more. As always, Ren would request a private training room so that he would not be disturbed. Once that was taken care of, Ren would head to the room and shut the door ready to get started. Having already mastered the earth dragon form, Ren decided to continue with the other dragon forms. First would be the River Dragon, Ren's body becomes coated in chakra enhanced water forming a humanoid dragon around him. At first he would just feel the flow around him, then as he began to move he couldn't help but feel as though he named the jutsu amply.

After having some fun with the river dragon form, Ren would end the technique as he considered which of the next two to try first. He had spent a long time coming up with the techniques in theory, but it was different in actual practice. The fact that both of them were erratic elements, unlike with the earth or river form, if he made a mistake he could actually end up hurting himself. After a short deliberation Ren would decide on the Flame dragon form, a decision that was likely bias due to his own natural affinity for the element. Activating the technique as flames would surround him in the form of a humanoid dragon just as the water had done before, happy with the fact that the flames were not hurting him which means that he did not make a mistake like he had been afraid that he might.

Just as he had done with the river dragon, Ren would mess around while still in the flame dragon form. Doing his best to get a feel for the technique, though he would not be able to truly test it until he used it in combat, after a few minutes he would end the technique. Next on his list was the Thunder dragon form, like with the flame dragon, the thunder dragon was a volatile element of not more unpredictable than the fire, which is likely why it was save for the last of the four base forms. Forming the hand seals for the technique, Ren would surround himself in Raiton as yet another humanoid dragon would form around him, this time made of lightning.

Finishing the fourth draconic forms, Ren knew it was time to put them all into practice. Of course, it was easier said than done considering in order to harness all the techniques at once required him to enter his sage mode. As he felt the nature chakra flowing through him, Ren would begin to use that chakra to shape the elements for the technique that he would deem as the ultimate draconic form. His body would be covered in earth, while his right arm would be coated in fire, his left arm coated in lightning, while his head was covered with water. The fire, lightning and water each forming the head of a dragon, making Ren now appear as a three headed humanoid dragon. This form would allow for the use of elements easier, but it came at a cost making this one of the techniques that he would only use if he had too.

As with the other draconic forms, Ren would leave Tritoch active until he got a feel for it before dropping the technique as well as sage mode. While there were other techniques he needed to practice that used sage mode, he was trying to be conservative with his chakra and so would decide to train some of the techniques that didn't require the sage mode for a little bit before doing another. Forming a string of four hand seals Ren would activate his Praimfaya technique releasing a wave of fire in every direction of himself to a distance of two hundred and fifty meters before it would fade away. Ren would test this technique a few different time to ensure there was nothing wrong with it or nothing that needed to be changed until he was satisfied.

Looking out at the fading embers, Ren would smile to himself. It would be unfortunate to anyone too close to him to get hit by the technique, but he also needed techniques that did not cause destruction. It is always good thing to have a good defense for when faced with the more troubling opponents, and Ren knew all about what is known as an ultimate defense, Rashomon. The large gate that was summonable by any that held an affinity with summons, unlike normal summons though this gate is purely for his protection and not really made for combat considering it doesn't move. Forming the needed hand seals, Ren would slam his palm to the ground as the large gate appeared in a puff of smoke. Before him would stand the massive demon face gate that was the Rashomon, its eyes seemingly following his movements like an oil painting.

Dismissing the large gate, Ren would kick it up a notch and move to summon the Triple Rashomon. the major difference between the two techniques other than the obvious, was the fact that while the triple rashomon provided him with three gates opposed to the one gate was the fact that the Triple Rashomon only defended against the first strike against them before disappearing back where they came from. While the normal Rashomon provided long term defense in a prolonged battle, the Triple Rashomon could block a more powerful technique that the normal one would not have been able to block. Slamming his hands to the ground, Ren would summon forth the three massive Rashomon gates that were just as tall as the normal Rashomon, and just as intimidating looking as the original.

As the three massive gates would disappear once more, Ren wondered if he should push it further. There were rumors of a gate summoning that was far more powerful than even the triple rashomon, rumored to be strong enough to stop the blast of a Bijuu, but it had not been seen in several decades and many did not believe that it truly existed. Even the scroll that he had found with the Rashomon and triple Rashomon seemed as if it was incomplete, and yet held no detail of this stronger gate summon beyond vague mentioning. Beyond the name of the technique that was rumored to hold this power, Ren did not have much more to go on, but he would not let that stop him. Knowing what he knew of the first two versions of the summoning, Ren felt as though he had a basic understanding of what it was that he was going to need to do. Slamming his palms into the ground, Ren would surge more chakra than he had with the triple Rashomon as he attempted to use Summoning: Quintuple Rashomon. Five massive gates would appear in front of Ren as a smile formed on his face, he had done it, the jutsu that could stop a Bijuu bomb was now his.

Ren would crack his neck as the five massive Rashomon gates would dissipate, thinking back to the seal Kimiko had place upon him, Ren decided that now was as good a time as any to try out something new with it. Similar to how he could use lightning beast tracking fang, Ren would flow his chakra through the seal turning his raiton black before releasing it in the form of a panther. The Black lightning shaping into a beautiful panther made of pure lightning, the only thing that disappointed Ren was the fact that there was no one there to use it against so that he could see the damage that it could cause. Still, Ren would maneuver the Panther around him, noticing that it could travel further away from him over the water than it could over land, he could only account this to the fact that the water provided natural conducting power for the lightning.

Looking at the time, Ren realized he needed to wrap up his training and move on to the other things that needed to be done before his mission tomorrow. Having been accepted into the Anbu, Ren now had access to most of the classified files that the Anbu had run over the years. The only files that he didn't have access to are the files that the Hokage restricted, those could only be accessed by captains, but that was fine with him. There was one more technique that, Ren wanted to try out before he left. An advanced version of the Great Dragon Fire technique designed so that he could launch several of the dragon heads at once to overwhelm the opponent. Strong enough that it could cause a storm if he were to fire it into the sky, though that was just a secondary reason that he was practicing it. The sheer number of dragon heads made it hard for an opponent to dodge if they were not fast enough, and that was something he preferred. Forming the Tiger hand seal, Ren would unleash eight dragon heads made of pure fire. Watching the fire soar across the distance of the room before dissipating as they reached their max distance, Ren would turn and take his leave of the Grand Konoha Training Facility. Heading home so that he could clean himself up before heading to the anbu division to look over the various files that were held there.
