Tengoku would feel a solid connect. His attack to her ribs was quick. Still his arms were a little numb from blocking those attacks. He was surprised at the jump in power in her strikes. He had thought he could just knock them to the side but it sure was a surprise to feel pressure like that. Still he would blink as she would yield. Had he gone too far? Well he was going all out...he had to in order to fight her. Still he would let his ears lower as it was time to get serious. The fun of fighting fading as the crowd cheered. He would cross his arms and frown as they began to stream out. The crowd satisfied with a potent fight. His gold and black eyes would glance to the two Kiri nin leaving the arena. He hadn't expected them but it was good they had seen all that. Sure they saw some techniques and fighting styles but they had seen something else too. They had seen just what Konoha was capable of. Their fight had sent a message hopefully that Konoha was strong. Strong allies were less likely to turn into enemies over silly impulses like greed.
Still he would let his ears twitch once more as she mentioned preparing for the mindscape. A fight indeed. Still he would listen as she ordered two individuals to the arena. Two rival Uchiha. Though Kimiko was a few steps ahead of Ren in that regard. They both saw themselves as leaders. Both as the rightful heir to the clan head. The Uchiha were potent to be sure but so much energy was directed at themselves. It was a frightening thought to consider just what they were capable of. Including repeatedly taking the hokage hat. He had been an oddity without a clan at the time to take the seat. Removed from clan politics till that point. He had watched over them and attempted to bond them in squads. Hyuga, Senju, Uchiha all in his squad. It hadn't lasted of course but Airi had taken the hat now. The Hyuga were in charge. And Tengoku...well if today went well it meant his retirement could be cushiony. Not only would his sister continue to get the long term care she needed but he could focus on himself again. Step away from silly things like politics and maintain his goal of becoming the perfect fighter.
For now Tengoku would settle his adrenaline from the fight. He could feel Roen within him. The being had surfaced a little but that would be the last time. He was going to conquer it today. Still he would use the toe of his shoe to hook each ring and flick it back up. Perfectly flying up his arm to his upper arms and wrists before he would flick the last two across his ankles. His armor returned to him. His hand reaching out as the sword belt flew to it. His ability to draw his wakizashi to him helping with the other sword strapped to it. He would quietly fit the belt back on before finishing by putting on his armored gloves. He was fully back together again with only a couple of yellow bruises on his forearms. He would roll his shoulders before settling into a sitting position. Settled onto his knees and sitting on the balls of his feet. His palms resting on his lap as he would sit straight backed. A picture of serenity as he calmed his mind. He was allowing his aura to settle as well which lured Roen to a sense of exhaustion.
He could feel the beast gradually going to sleep. Unaware it was to be conquered. Like a wolf stalking its prey and remaining quiet. He didn't intend for this to be much of a fight. He had felt its power and measured it against his own. Roen was strong but he was too. With allies next to him the beast would have little chance. He felt another pulse though. His hand shifted to his wakizashi and rested on it. The weapon...it was as if the beast shirked away from it. Almost as if it flinched. His Wakizashi could cut virtually anything. Did Roen sense danger within it? Still his ears would twitch as two others arrived soon after one another. A slight break in his concentration. But he would let Airi explain since she had the knowledge and ....well Tengoku was along for the ride. Roen would be his to master and utilize to keep Konoha protected. Still he would return to his focus. Allowing his senses to retreat to his chakra...to where Roen seemed to almost latch onto it. Like a green chakra invading his own. Within his mind he would stand at the edge of the forest with the mountainous wolf cave in the center.
"Lets see who wins old chum."
