The Dragon Kings Disdain

Finally the oncoming Dragon army had arrived to Mori no Sato. The Forest ninja, which was 5 extra units of A-rank ninja, were there to greet them. Raijin left it to his commander Shira to explain to them their new purpose and goal under the rule of the Dragon King. The two Raijins met and combined back together. Raijin got the the memories from both destructions of Snow and Vegetables. The coming Death of the world was at hand. The earth would know no peace if he still walked it.

With knowledge of the Forest exclusives. He had gained a powerful technique. It rivaled that of Bijuu bomb but it took a lot of of him to replicate. It was such a small attack it would be difficult to stop. Since its blast radius was massive. It was time to test it out, on the very Village that showed it to him. He had the army clear out the village before he flew a few hundred meters above it.

Going into Sage mode, a purple like Rasengan spiraling with rings around it. The Dragon King added Senjutsu making it even stronger. He threw it to towards there administration section. It shot fast and true. He forgotten to tell everyone to evacuate. Or did he?

The Great Spiraling ring hit the ground and an explosion that dwarfed even that of the Great Fire Destruction. The radius was to large for most ninja to avoid. But it was a tsunami of destruction couldn’t hope to stop. What was left was nothing short of a natural disaster. Pleased with his work but slightly winded by the attack. He gathered up his army and things. They left to a land never visited.

Kimiko and Peragus would appear directly behind Raijin, Kimiko on his left side shortly after the destruction of the village, while he was still gathering his army and things. The area around Raijin would immediately be dropped into silence as the Monarch's Providence aspect of the Defender's Regalia coated them in silence. Aerondite, the powerful blade wielded by Kimiko would flash through the air the few inches she had left for the strike, which was aimed at Raijin's neck, seeking to liberate it from his body with a single dedicated slash. She'd begun the swing right as she was about to teleport in, so the blade would have no need for a wind up to gather any force behind it.

The power and speed behind the attack, mixed with the suddenness of it, the pure confusion from immediate silence, as well as Kimiko's precision was hopefully enough to prevent him from mounting any sort of defense, as his guard was completely down.

Kimiko would immediately follow up with additional strikes if needed, but her strength and the sharpness of the blade would have easily made it through even Raijin's neck, and she'd attempt to grab the head and yank it off of his body, letting sound return.

Before the army would have a chance to muster any sort of counter, Kimiko would begin to channel Amaterasu in her eyes, and if any dared to attempt to defend Raijin, she'd quickly dispatch of them. It was relatively easy for her to determine who was going to try and attack given the mixture of her sensory technique and the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

When they arrived at the location Peragus, with his Byakugan active and able to see Raijin’s back, to his left and easily within arms reach. Would already be swinging, already poised to do so. Peragus would utilize the famous Gentle Fist of the Hyuuga Clan and aim for the man’s back with a blow that he had used countless times before. The Hyuuga Clan’s Palm Bottom technique was a somewhat advanced technique that allowed one to send a massive jolt of chakra through a target's body and stun them temporarily. Of course the amount of chakra could be changed for potentially hardier foes. Peragus, erring on the side of caution for a man as renowned as Raijin, would not hold back. Throwing a massive amount of chakra into the blow made with the arm closest to Raijin that had already been swinging, reacting to Kimiko beginning her swing before teleporting. The blow was aimed at center mass and even with the strange looking armor on the man’s body it would not dissuade the blow. As Chakra armor blocked Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, but not taijutsu. Something Peragus of course did not know, but given his main specialty was Taijutsu it was of course inevitable that he would use it anyway. Kimiko’s swing, aimed perfectly to cut off Raijin’s head at the neck, would swing before Peragus’s blow, her own swing not endangering the Hyuuga. The woman’s speed outclassing even Peragus himself who was swinging as fast as he could. Should her own swing be successful his blow would still be fast enough to strike the back as it potentially fell from the sudden strike.

That of course brought some surprise to Peragus but he would not waste time worrying about it. She too was world renowned after all and that meant that she would also have to have some incredible capabilities. Outspeeding him, even in close quarters combat, was not something outside of the realm of possibility. The stunning blow, preventing the use of chakra or movement for a while would be aimed to ensure that, should Raijin duck to avoid Kimiko’s cut, he might still be hit and forced to stop. Given the sudden arrival of the two, behind the man and attacking, Peragus doubted the man would be able to avoid the attacks.

Within his vision the Hyuuga could see the devastation of a settlement. The ruined outpost of the minor nation and the hub that included the vast majority of its people. Or had anyway, they lay dead now, presumably, their bodies eradicated by whatever technique Raijin had used to do the deed. A few limbs, outside of the blast radius, could be seen dotting the surroundings of a circular area where the outpost had once, theoretically anyway, been. Apparently, Raijin had only just finished destroying the outpost, the man having landed on the ground to gather his army when Kimiko and Peragus arrived. Should the stunning blow aimed at Raijin be successful, Peragus would move to remove the man’s armor, the hope to make him more vulnerable to Kimiko’s blade. The man was bare chested beneath the defensive attire, and Peragus would drop the armor to the ground and be prepared to stun him again. His eyes watching the chakra he had shoved through Raijin’s system and ready to stun him before it fully dissipated and allowed the man to move again.

Raijin had landed and was giving one clear order to his army. When he was instantly jumped. The Dragon King had been walking forward to leave the area with his army following when they appeared. They made no sound whatsoever. So he did not notice them at first however his army cried out immediately after they saw them appear next to him. "Assassins!" The first few bellowed. He was under attack.

Raijin reacted instantly his body tensed up, and his Sage Mode activated. He quickly blasted a surge of lightning chakra all around him. This powerful stream was what he hoped would stop Peragus and Kimiko from attacking. Chidori Current. Bayushi with his left hand reached for Black Death, flicking it behind him aiming to hit at least the one on his right. With his right he went for his Kusanagi Blade as he ducked and turned around to confront his assassins.

The army behind was looking directly at Raijin when this happened and they all acted. There were 5 squads close enough that began performing a set of handsigns along with the other groups of ninja. The army was a good 20 meters away with Shira much further at 50 not wanting to be around Raijin at all. The 5 Squads immediately close to them all fired Electromagnetic Murder at all three of them.

Unfortunately for Raijin, his army's cries would never reach him in time. He didn't seem to register or notice their appearance at all, nor did Kimiko's attack falter. Raijin failed to notice them in time to stop his head from being removed and grabbed by Kimiko, and so long as Peragus didn't falter in his own attack, he'd have followed up before Raijin's own activations could help him either, resulting in a stun, halting anything from happening in response. Kimiko would turn her attention to the army.

It would be at that point that the zone of silence would drop, and then the cry of "Assassin" would come through. Kimiko's speed and strength of her blow was far faster than they were even able to form their call, even if they were to have started their attacks from a standstill, as was Peragus's strike. Compared to regular Jounin's reaction time, she was in a league of her own.

The 5 closest groups of Raijin's army would attempt to start charging up jutsu to attack, but Kimiko had sensory and her Sharingan, able to easily notice, and as she'd been waiting to attack any who moved to attack, her own charge was faster. She easily preempted their attacks with her Amaterasu, wiping through them in a matter of moments without a single firing of their jutsu. Shira would be safe from the blaze though, as Kimiko only focused her attack on those who were trying to defend Raijin.

Kimiko would place Raijin's head on the ground and form a quick seal, placing the Five Elements Seal on his head. Direct contact with his skin being made, the man would be knocked unconscious by the seal for a while. With that, his body should stop being controlled and fall limp. Kimiko turned her attention to the remaining army of Raijin as she picked the head back up.

"Leave or burn."

Sheathing her sword, Kimiko moved over to Peragus. She'd wait until he was stripped of any important gear before administering her Fire Release: Great Fire Heavenly Prison seal onto his chest, lighting him ablaze for a moment, dealing some massive damage to him before she shut off the flame portion of the technique. It wouldn't do to burn him to a crisp just yet. Placing a Five Element Seal on his stomach in addition to the one on his head, she wanted to make sure that he couldn't utilize any chakra when he woke up.

Pulling out Aerondite again, Kimiko made a few swift strikes, removing his limbs below the Elbows and Knees, tossing each of them into the still burning Amaterasu flames; it was easier to leave him crippled like this than allow him to potentially escape later. All that would remain would be his head, torso, and stumps of his arms and legs.

"I'm gonna root around in his head, see if there's anything worth learnin' up there. Need him alive for that. Figure Lord Tengoku might like the chance to interrogate him."

It all went according to the game plan. Raijin’s head was removed just before his own strike landed in the man’s back and Peragus’ chakra invaded the man’s system, sending a massive load of chakra through him and causing the man’s entire body to shut down temporarily. The man wouldn’t be able to use chakra or even move with Palm Bottom having landed successfully and the Hyuuga would continue with his actions to take the man for everything on him. He did not simply stop at the chakra armor however. As Kimiko eliminated the forces that had come with the man. Their cry of ‘Assassins!’ coming through only after the silencing field the Uchiha woman had erected came down, after Raijin was headless and stunned. Peragus would begin to take everything Raijin had on him. From the Sword of Kusanagi, to the very knife that Peragus had described to Kimiko just a few moments prior back in Konoha.

Every scroll the man had would be taken from him and all the while the Hyuuga would keep a careful eye on the chakra he had blasted through the man to stun him. Just before he finished looting him he would use Palm Bottom again, using the same amount of chakra to keep the man stunned. Just in case, then he would finish taking everything from him. Then he would step back, allowing Kimiko to begin her work. First she would apply seals to Raijin’s head and torso, then begin cutting the man’s limbs off and tossing them aside, casting some strange black fire upon them and, if successful, turning them into ash upon the wind.

With that done Kimiko would look to Peragus and state the intent to root around inside the man’s head and Peragus would nod in agreement, silently holding out the sheathed form of the black knife to her. It had clearly been what had been needed to bring them here, and so he figured it was hers originally. “I suppose I’ll start going through these scrolls and keep watch while you do.” He would say to her, pulling one out and opening it to begin reading. To the victors go the spoils after all. His eyes would allow him to see any actual threat that might be coming from extremely far off as well but there weren’t any within his range with the nations capital destroyed not far away. The only people around in his Byakugan’s range (10 km) were himself and Kimiko.

Breakdown:

With him fully subdued, it was a simple matter for Kimiko to take some time. With the head of the Dragon Army cut off, in a metaphorical and physical sense, the army had scattered to the wind. She tapped her armor and sword and sealed them back into her Lightning Blade Flash Creation seal on her wrist, not needing to wear them anymore. Tightening down the belt straps for her pouches, holsters, and other adjustments needed.

Under her armor, Kimiko had been wearing a titanium mesh shirt with sleeves down to her wrists, a plain black long sleeveless shirt overtop it, and a pair of long black tights. Her boots remained from what she'd been wearing already, the usual black leather combat boots she was often in. Strapped directly to her right thigh had been a platinum tanto, revealed now that the armor was gone. Pulling out the kunai from her first holster, Kimiko passed it over to Peragus as she accepted Black Death.

"Here. The Kunai's pre-marked with my teleport seal. I'll need it ta get back here when I pick up Ren. Figure we can just walk ta Wolf from here."

Sheathing Black Death into the holster that she removed her kunai from, Kimiko placed her hand on the hilt comfortingly. It was the only physical reminder she had of Akihiro now, since Satomi had taken his body and items. Now that Kimiko thought about it, the fact that Raijin had Black Death meant that he'd gotten it from Satomi. It made her blood boil thinking about him just giving away Akihiro's things to random criminals. He thought so little of Akihiro and Kimiko that he didn't even bother to hand over Akihiro's things to her. If he ever showed his face again, she'd throw everything away and kill him. It didn't matter that she was back in Konoha and soon to be the Jounin Commander.

"Funny thing, this blade. It belonged to my fiance before he was killed. Satomi stole his body and I suppose decided selling to Raijin was the better thing to do rather than give his stuff to me. It's why I left Konoha in the first place. With this done though, it looks like I'm going to be your new Jounin Commander."

Placing both hands on Raijin's head, Kimiko's thumbs and pointer fingers opened the unconscious immortal being's eyes, forcing them open, and her Sharingan peered into his eyes. Activating her Extraction technique, she entered his mind. Unlike the other mind sifting techniques she knew, this one started from the source and moved forward, rather than starting from the most recent and moving backwards. With that, she was able to instantly view the entire interaction between him and Satomi, trading the White Light Chakra blade and Black Death for the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror.

"His memory shows Satomi traded an incredibly white tanto as well, if he has it, can I have that too?"

Kimiko dived back into his mind, switching her target to something a little more interesting. First memory of him learning his Sage Mode and how to control it. The information downloaded into her brain incredibly fast. Sage Mode wasn't something that really interested her, but it could be useful to know for teaching others. It was important to make sure that the rest of the Uchiha were set up to better take care of themselves after all. Not everyone could achieve the Mangekyou and Eternal Mangekyou, nor would Kimiko want that to happen. And Konoha, of course could benefit from their strength.

As Kimiko calmed down, she'd glance over at Peragus, checking in on what he was doing. Her anger had subsided a little bit, her emotions fairly calm for the moment.

"Anything ya want me ta check out specifically?"

---Knowledge of Sage Mode and how to learn it

Peragus would be ravenously reading through the scrolls. The white haired Hyuuga loved knowledge overall and these had a great deal of it within their rolls. Techniques from all around the world were recorded in them from the jutsu out of Sunagakure’s vaults, to Iwagakure, to the Land of Grass, as well as Kumogakure’s. The Land of Forest’s techniques were also evident and he pursued through them all. There were a great many techniques he could not learn, but also a large number that he could. At least some of which he would do so now. The secrets given by one technique of Kumo’s was incredible and he found himself wanting it.

He began to practice how to channel his Raiton chakra inward, coursing it through his nervous system in order to give him an extremely potent increase in his physical capabilities. After a few moments of practice Kimiko would comment on some kind of white tanto. Asking if she could have it as well and he would look at her strangely. “Ma’am, so far as I’m concerned you can have whatever you want. You brought me along for my clan’s capabilities with the chakra network I’m sure but I’m willing to bet that was only insurance. I figure I’ll make a copy of these scrolls, or maybe if your sharingan can read memories you can just record knowledge of the techniques and recreate them yourself. Then I’ll get a copy for the Hyuuga. Then I’d just want a set of this armor he seems to have so much of. The rest I’d either turn over to Konoha or give to someone I feel matches them. These twin swords for example might do well for my friend Hanabi, who uses kenjutsu quite a bit.” He would say, the last couple of lines more to himself than to anyone.

Quickly he would shake his head and reach over and flip the tanto in his hand, offering to Kimiko hilt first. “Sorry, lost track a little, there’s a lot here to consider. Here, this is the one right?” He would ask as he offered it out to her. “Anything else you want specifically?” He would ask, all the while he was still working on getting his raiton chakra to affect his nervous system the proper way. It was after all a fairly safe jutsu to practice. It would take a while before he came to the decision that the technique in question simply wasn't working for him. “Damn, guess that one isn't in the cards for me, oh well, there's plenty more for my to play with. He would say quietly before moving to the next technique. “So many things to learn..It’s going to take time. I’m excited, I’d run out of Hyuuga techniques. Unless I wanted to pester Airi-san about some of her personal ones.” He would joke before turning to Kimiko’s question and looking up and toward the right as he tried to consider. “I can’t think of anything.” He would say honestly to her with a shrug.

After that he would look back down toward the scroll and consider another technique on it’s rolls. He had a great deal of time to learn these but he had a guess that Kimiko would go get Ren soon and Peragus personally did not want Ren to see the haul. The Hyuuga was still extremely angry with the Uchiha for his treatment of Hanabi and frankly if Kimiko wasn’t going to be around to play chaperone Peragus would probably confront the man about it. However he would have to deal with that another time. For now though he wanted to read at least one more technique before needing to put the scrolls up and get ready to go. So he turned back to reading, this time about a technique called the ‘Spiraling Ring’. It seemed to have similar properties to the Rasengan only it had a great deal more destructive power it would seem. He channeled chakra into his hand. Eventually this formed a regular Rasengan and he frowned at it before looking at it much more closely letting the spiraling orb disperse.

Something was different about the technique, the ratio to yin and yang chakra in the formation perhaps? He focused more on the technique, channeling his chakra and playing with the mixtures. As he did he would speak up again, the Kunai he had been passed when he handed her the Black Death safely in his kunai pouch. “So did you want to just leave me here and go get him? I can have all of this packed up pretty quickly so we can be on our way.” He would ask before he finally managed to get the conversion correct and black orb with planetary rings formed in his hand. “Pretty.” He would say before letting it dissipate. After that he was beginning to put things away before his eyes caught something in Raijin’s body. Within his torso to be specific. The first of which was a still very much beating heart, which was disconcerting enough when you considered the state he was in. The second part though was a strange things that simply did not belong. He saw enough of the internal organs with his Byakugan to know that. Once he got everything put away safely, including all of the chakra armor and scrolls he’d been reading. He turned to the cut apart torso.

“There’s still something here..” He would say as he began to flip through handseals. A crackling surge of Raiton energy would form in his hand and he would plunge the Raikiri in his hand through into the mutilated man’s torso toward the strange thing that was within. He deactivated the technique before he could destroy it and gripped it. Then began to pull it out, it wasn’t connected to anything, so removing it was simple, but he could see the chakra within it and he turned the bloody object, in his equally bloody hand. “There’s a load of chakra in here, matching an equal load of chakra in you that I can see…” He would say before putting it safely away too and then looking at his hand in distaste. Taking another scan of the surroundings with his eyes and finding no one, the remnants of Raijin’s army had dispered beyond his range, he would turn toward Kimiko, his blue eyes now evident. Assuming she had indeed intended to just go back to Konoha to get Ren and then come right back he would speak. “While you get him, I’m going to wash my hand in a river not far away. Feel free to recover your chakra while in Konoha if you want. I can just make a camp and hang out until you and Ren come back.” He would offer, raising a curious eyebrow as to if she would accept the offer for her to rest.

There was more to that offer than allowing her to rest though. Peragus, being the curious soul that he was, was always looking for information on comrades. He had just seen Kimiko teleport himself and her across the world and instantly attack Raijin at a speed much faster than he could move. Well, maybe he could equal her now with his new Raiton Technique, the ‘Lightning Release Armor’. But she had not seemed to be using much chakra at all. It left the question of if she had felt like she needed to. Or if she were purposefully trying to conserve it because the rest of her capabilities were extremely chakra intensive. He could see she still had plenty of chakra, but was she simply in the habit of conserving it when it wasn’t necessary? Did she need to be careful with the teleportation technique and it’s costs? He did not know, but if she chose to rest after teleporting herself home it might give him a clue or two.

That was how the game was played after all, clues, and putting the pieces together. Still, he himself could use a rest too, especially if he was about to travel across the breadth of this continent to the Land of Wolves. Silently, he would wait for her answer, holding his hand slightly away from him. He, as a Hyuuga, did not usually get covered in blood. He wasn’t afraid of the stuff or anything, it just seemed..unseemly somehow.

Giving up my ability to learn Gates and LRA in favor of a custom ES and claiming the S rank Unique NPC slot. As Raijin had two ES's and a RT and Kimiko isn't able to claim anything from that cornucopia of stuff. (Both her ES's are filled, she has FTG and she still has her freebie claim from 20k renown) I was hoping to capitalize on that.

A shudder went through Kimiko as Peragus called her ma'am.

"Never ma'am. Kimiko is fine. "

Swapping the other FTG kunai from its holster with the White Chakra Sabre, Kimiko launched the kunai towards the demolished village. It never hurt to expand her teleportation options. Besides, as far as Peragus knew, the only way to place an FTG seal was on a weapon, as he'd only seen them on Black Death and the kunai she'd handed him. There was no reason to reveal that she could place them wherever she wanted, it was always better to keep information hidden where she could. She could collect that kunai at a later date and place a proper seal.

"Hanabi's that white haired Uchiha, right? Ya won't hear any complaints from me about armin' my clan."

Grabbing up Raijin's torso and head, Kimiko frowned. An additional source of chakra, the same as her? Odd. She turned her sensory and Sharingan onto herself, and sure enough, there was something there that she hadn't really been aware of. Some sort of parasite maybe? Was this the source of her increased abilities? Perhaps it was symbiotic in nature.

"Hmm, sure. Set up camp, I'll be back as soon as I pick up Ren and drop off Raijin, I don't need ta rest. Set up some copies of those scrolls, I want ta see what's worth learning. I'm interested in that orb with the ring, it reminds me of Rasengan. I can look them over while we travel."

She lied a bit about resting and whether she needed to or not. By the time she traveled with Raijin to Konoha, and then picked up Ren and came back, her chakra reserves would be quite diminished. Although, she could...

Kimiko's hand began to drain chakra from Raijin's torso, refilling her own reserves slightly while she talked. She was always forgetting she could do that. She hadn't drained anyone since her fight at the battle of Meijing. To be fair, it wasn't like she had needed to. Most people weren't that hard to fight when she was able to outmaneuver them with tactical brilliance.

Giving a light salute with the hand that had Raijin's head, Kimiko vanished in an instant, to reappear back in Konoha at her house.

Peragus would laugh at her reaction to being called 'ma'am' and nodded at her correction. Kimiko it was then. He'd watch as she tossed a kunai with the same seal design upon it that was on the black knife down to the rubble strewn village. At her question of who Hanabi was he would nod in acknowledgement before responding. "Helping your clan isn't even a factor to me to be honest. They suit her, and getting them in use helps the village overall." He would say, and eventually she would agree with his statement, even going so far as to tell him to make copies of things. Which he was going to do anyway. One for him and one for her, to be done with as either of them please.

With a light salute while holding a severed head, a macabre sight he did not think he would get out of his head anytime soon, she would disappear. He himself would quickly gather everything and set up a camp after washing his hand in the river. It would not take long at all, especially since he just set up a small fire since he doubted it would take long for her to return with Ren. The Hyuuga frowned at the thought of the Uchiha, he still had not had his reckoning with that one after what he had done to Hanabi. That would have to happen at some point and he wondered if Kimiko even knew about that.

He made a copy of the exclusives for Kimiko, creating a separate scroll for her. Included in hers was the Dragon Contract, the Chakra Disruption Device, and a copy of every exclusive they had gained from Raijin. Included in his was the majority of the rest of the artifacts. Although some of them would go to Konoha and he had plans to give those shortswords to Hanabi. The chakra armor and the strange battery he had pulled from Raijin he would keep a set for himself and probably distribute the rest. The Tessen he would give to Konoha, the Kusanagi Blade too. Kimiko of course already had the Black Death and the White Light Chakra Sabre. He would also of course split the money Raijin had on him between the two scrolls. Depositing 28,967,787 into each and keeping a single Ryo coin out.

Included in her copy though was also a personal note. Detailing what he knew of Ren's past abuse to Hanabi and the scars he had caused. He also explained in the note that he wanted to avoid bringing it up with Ren there as to not cause an unnecessary scene. Particularly outside of the village. However he felt it necessary to inform someone that seemed to be in some high standing. Of which she had seemed to be to him.

He completed the scrolls and tied them up, labeling hers with her name so he did not give her the one without the personal note. Then he doused the fire and pulled out a stick of jerky to eat while he waited for Kimiko and Ren to arrive. It had only taken a few minutes to get everything situated and it would probably take that long for her to find Ren and explain to him that he was going on a magic journey. Upon their arrival Peragus would be flipping the Ryo coin and catching it and would immediately fling it at Ren the moment he could perceive Ren's profile. "Here's a tip." He would say in his usual jovial tone. His byakugan was active underneath his blindfold of course and he would nod in the direction of their destination. "We go that way, shall I lead?" He would ask. Kimiko might note his tone was entirely different from before when he spoke. As if he were downplaying his own capabilities. Acting a fool and playing as if he was a carefree individual.

Kimiko and Ren would reappear only a few minutes after Kimiko's prior exit. Peragus was cleaned up but Kimiko's body was notably more covered in blood due to the time she'd spent holding Raijin's bleeding torso and head.

"And that, Ren, is why I as clan leader can leave the village whenever ta hunt down missing-nin. I can leave and be back before anyone even misses me. The clan wouldn't be leaderless unless I died, but given how easily we took down Raijin, I ain't too concerned. Speaking of.."

Kimiko looked to Peragus. She held out her hand for her copies of things. While Peragus tossed a ryo to Ren, Kimiko read the note that he'd left, frowning slightly, but she didn't say anything about it for the time being. Folding the note, she popped it into her pocket and set about learning all that she could from the incredibly long list of the exclusives he'd learned.

Pulling out the dragon contract, Kimiko unfurled it, bit her thumb and pressed it to the contract, writing her name with the blood. There was no reason not to. She offered it to Ren to sign as well. The Uchiha needed to band together and get stronger as a clan, and this was partially a help in doing so.

"Wanna sign the Dragon summoning contract? No worries if not."

Ren's arrival in the land of Forest would be slightly disorientating, one second, he was standing at the village gate reaching for Kimiko's shoulder the next they were standing on rubble. Kimiko spoke of why this ability would allow her to travel away from the village and be back in seconds, still being able to perform her duties as clan leader unless she was dead. Ren did not even have time to fully process her words as this would all be quickly followed by the sudden ping in the back of his head like he got hit with a rock, Ren would quickly turn around to see Peragus as he spoke about a tip.

Looking down as he rubbed the back of his head to see a single Ryo, Ren would look back up to Peragus to say something when he saw Kimiko unfurl something out of the corner of his eye drawing his attention back to her. Watching as she signed her name to the scroll before offering it to him to sign, it was then that he would begin to fully process what she had been saying. She hadn't been lying at the gates when she said she killed Raijin, he knew enough about the man to know that he was the one with the dragons at the gates of the village not that long ago, but now Kimiko had the contract to dragons. He had been looking into summoning, but he never dreamed he would be able to summon dragons.

"Sure I'll sign it," Ren would answer with a small grin. He still didn't trust Kimiko, but he was never one to turn down a chance to get stronger. He would force the friendly smile for now, at least until the got back to the village and then he would challenge her. He just hoped that his sensei would understand, wherever he was, that Ren was only working with the traitor under the orders of the Hokage. Ren would repeat what he had seen Kimiko do and bite his thumb signing his name to the contract in his blood before looking to both Peragus and Kimiko, "so what's next?"

His Ryo coin would smack into the back of Ren’s head although the man would give no real reaction to the action. Which was okay, Peragus was only doing it to be annoying in any case. He tossed the scroll to Kimiko who caught it and when she read the note he saw her frown. That got him wondering what she might do about the information he had given her. Frankly he wouldn’t be surprised if nothing happened now. She couldn’t just take his word over this matter. She would need to figure things out from Ren and Hanabi too probably. So it wouldn’t really come as a surprise when Kimiko offered Ren the ability to sign the contract after she did.

He of course accepted and then asked what was next to which it was Peragus’ turn to reply. “Now we go to Wolf and buy the place out. As our mission demands. I doubt Kimiko can get us any closer than this. Or she would have already, so I’ll lead as scout and guide to the place.” He would say, popping the last of his jerky in his mouth as he kicked out the fire with dirty nearby and nodding in the general direction they were to go. “Provided you two are ready. I can guide us and watch for the remnants of Raijin’s army. The survivors scattered after he was taken down and that meant they could be planning an ambush.” He would say, raising his eyebrows to see if Kimiko and Ren were prepared. Provided they were he would begin moving, intending to get them to Wolf so they could go back home as quickly as possible.

Due to Peragus having his level 5 Byakugan and A tier base perception he skips the need to scout so the next thread will be at the gates.

Putting away the contract after it was signed, Kimiko shrugged when Peragus suggested it was doubtful she could get them closer. Motioning to the kunai that she'd given Peragus and to the Black Death. They were the things that would have the most relevance to her explanation anyhow.

"I keep most of my teleportation kunai on me. I'm actually fairly limited on where I can teleport."

That's all she'd say on the topic, and mostly she relegated herself to just following the group, as she was sent as a sort of chaperone and largely unneeded. She spent the rest of the trip mentally preparing herself with new strategies to utilize with the new jutsu she was able to learn from the scrolls.

"Ready when you are," Ren would say with a nod at Peragus' words, there was no reason to wait around and the sooner they got this mission over with the sooner he could return to Airi. When Kimiko mentioned of her teleportation being limited, Ren couldn't help but wonder how it was her and Peragus had gotten there so quickly if it's limited like she said. It was entirely possible that she knew Raijin or something, and she had given him one of her Kunai to Raijin. Of course, if this was true it could also mean that they had plans together, and all of this was just a ploy to deceive everyone. Ren's mind would run though all the different possibilities in silence in his mind as he moved to follow the pair. These thoughts would of course only make Ren believe that he was right about Kimiko, all he needed was proof before they returned to the village or he doubted that he would be able to get the others on his side. Sure she had let him sign the dragon summoning contract but that could easily just be a ploy to get him to drop his guard or something else. Whatever her plan was, but he would keep an eye on her as he moved to follow her and Peragus.
