Team Artifice Fundraising Pt. 1

Missions:

Neo Uchiha is wearing a much more lively outfit today, the heat of the sun necessitating a sundress and wide-brimmed straw sunhat as well as bright pink sunglasses over her eyes. She had on a light pink blouse as well as a matching two-layered skirt, with sandals on instead of her uniform nin-shoes. In one hand she had a glass of cold iced lemonade, and with her left hand she made hand signs for Ancha to translate. She was sitting on a park bench in the central lane of Konoha which led to the Konoha Village Gates, allowing Ancha, whom stood behind Neo with her hands clasped behind her back and her feet shoulder-width apart, like a soldier who was taking orders directly from a superior. Despite this, there was a second iced glass of lemonade on the bench, clearly meant for Ancha to drink as well, simply waiting for her. Instead, Ancha is being used as Neo's interpreter for the moment.

"Team Artifice! Mistress Neo has called you here today in order to complete these missions! While your combat prowess and teamwork ability has been proven in the short spar you had with her during the bell test, it is expected for Konoha Genin to complete D-rank missions, up to a total of ten, before they can be considered for the rank of Chuunin! We will start with these five!"

On this word from Ancha, Neo stops making hand signs for Ancha with her left hand and reaches into the purse next to her and draws out three small scrolls, tossing one to each of Nikola, Kiyoshi, and Suzuya, with all five missions listed on them. She returns to moving her hand and fingers about, all while she considers having to teach her genin team how to interpret these signs sometime soon; it would be very helpful if they were instructed to go on a mission outside of the village, on some higher ranking task. Ancha is speaking once more after a few moments of Neo's hand signs.

"I expect you three to perform well on these missions, together! While any one of you could complete each one of these missions on your own, taking care of all of them together should be an even faster task! Team Artifice has twelve hours to complete these missions!"

Neo stops making hand signs once more and reaches into her purse again to hold up a newly purchased digital stopwatch, a fairly simple device that could prove useful both during training and outside of that use. On it, they can see the number 12 and two zeroes afterwards, and as soon as she can recognize that all three see it, she hits the button, and the stopwatch begins counting down, letting them know that their time has now started.

OOC: We're going to do one mission per thread, five threads in all. So post for this one, and also exit thread. I'll italicize the mission we're doing in each particular thread. I just don't want to do five different thread openers, and also don't want a neverending mission thread like the one I'm in with a different character.

Neo's Appearance:

Kiyoshi was disappointed that he was summoned today of all days for his shinobi work, it was not so much that he disliked doing the work or that he thought himself above it. No, it was the simple fact that today it was interfering with his other work, his crafting. He had been so enthralled by his crafting that he had not left his home in days, so in some ways this call could be seen as a blessing in disguise. Sure, it took him away from his work on crafting weapons, but perhaps it was better for him to take a break and get some fresh air. Even if he didn't like the fact that he was having to postpone his crafting, it was not like he could refuse an assignment considering the fact that he wanted to be known as one of the greatest shinobi as well as crafters. His focus of course having been on the crafting track, now that he was on a team it seemed like he would need to start focusing on the shinobi side of things.

Kiyoshi would be fully decked out in all of his latest creations for this task, considering it was his first mission assignment of his shinobi career he wasn't taking any chances. As with anytime he left his house, Kiyoshi would be within his Mobility Suit. His puppet armor, as well as means of transportation. Eight Golden Rings would don the fingers of the mobility suit, though only five of those eight would be currently in use. Each of the five rings holding one of his puppets, sealed safely within awaiting to be unsealed and put to use when they were needed. His Hitai-ate tied tightly to his forehead, his goggles would cover his eyes both shielding them from the bright sun as well as the wind as he moved quickly through the street of the village on his Zip-Board at sixty meters per second. Beneath the protective shell that was his mobility suit, would also rest his Jade Pendant around his neck hidden from view, stimulating his chakra to ensure optimum performance. Wearing his freshly crafted puppet master gloves on to help with his circulation, allowing his fingers to move faster than normal. On the back of his mobility suit he would have six items strapped to it, five fuuma shuriken that he just completed work on and a scroll holding his twenty freshly made and ready teddy bear stuffed animals. The Stuffed animals would all bear an Explosive seal on their stomachs, this was Kiyoshi's version of an explosive tag. He would be able to use his strings to get the bears closer than he would be able to throw an item with a tag on it. While he hoped that he would not need everything that he brought, he did not want to take any chances and decided to play it safe by bringing everything.

Kiyoshi would be the first to arrive of the team aside from their sensei and her assistant, greeting them both with a smile as he waited for the others to arrive. Once they arrived and Neo or rather Ancha explained to them the purpose of the missions as well as handing them each a scroll with their tasks and a time limit. Kiyoshi looked over the scroll and then back up to his sensei with a slightly puzzled look on his face, he did not see how they would be able to complete all the missions within twelve hours, however he would not voice any objections. Instead, Kiyoshi would take four of the five Fuuma Shuriken that he had giving one to each of his teammates as well as his sensei and her assistant, he did not care to hear objections or whether or not they would use it or not. "This is just the start of my practice with weapons, outside of puppets. I want to share my work with my teammates and friends." Kiyoshi would explain with a smile, once Neo reached into the bag to pull out the stopwatch Kiyoshi would realize that it was time for them to get started. Once she pressed the button, Kiyoshi would look to the other two next to him. "Let's get this done I suppose," would be all he said before leading the way to their first task.

Hibiki would be waiting for the three of them at the end of the street, a smile on his face as he waved them closer. Once all three of them were gathered in front of the man, he began by explaining the rules that they would need to follow. The structure of the command when it came to incidents, and all the red tape that came with it as well as the various routes that one should take while on patrol within the village. During this thirty-minute lecture, Kiyoshi would be feverishly writing everything the man was saying down in one of his pocketbooks, having offered both a pocketbook and an ink pen to his teammates should they wish to do the same. Once Hibiki was done with his explanation and answered any questions the three of them might have had, he would take them all on one of the many routes that he had told them about in his explanation. Everything was running smoothly at least at first. It wasn't until close to the end of their two-hour shift of patrol duty that something actually happened, time had seemed to drag on until that point making Kiyoshi thing more time had passed than what had, but the sudden street brawl would catch his attention as well as Hibiki's. Sweat started to roll down Kiyoshi's face as nerves began setting in, however Hibiki would remain calm and talk to Kiyoshi about what the four of them were going to do. Hibiki was going to take point of course, considering he knew how to defuse this situation. The three of them were to only observe, intervening only if he was unsuccessful and the situation escalated. This would calm some of Kiyoshi's nerves as he became less nervous of messing up. Kiyoshi would watch as Hibiki was able to defuse the situation without a hitch and would be taking note for him to look through later when he wasn't under a time limit. With the situation now handled, Hibiki would take the trio back to their sensei where she sat waiting. This mission was over and it was time to move on to the next one. Kiyoshi learned a lot during this mission, however with two of their twelve hours now gone, he was more concerned with getting through the rest of the missions.

OoC: Giving Everyone a Fuuma Shuriken (Neo 2 cuz one is for Ancha)

It had been a while since Nikola's latest adventures. These had come in the form of yet another training session he undertook at the Grand Konoha Training Facility. Since then, Nikola had once again gotten back to his usual daily routine of assisting his parents with their business ventures, accompanying them to various high society events and mingling with the other attendees of said events, and of course, his ongoing and ever-burgeoning mad science research, both of the generic sort and also more specifically of the ninja arts variety, with the latter being focused especially on the study of ever more efficient means of commanding and directing the Aburame insects dwelling inside him as well as the study of how to improve this entomological arsenal for his benefit and for that of his Aburame clan in general

Hmm...yet another mission series assignment, eh?...

Nikola thought silently as he stirred from beneath the veritable mountain of research notes that were current piled up high in his residence/research lab in the Aburame clan compound on this particular day. After managing to drag himself out, he rose to his feet and proceeded to ready himself in his usual work attire, this being specifically comprised of his standard researcher's outfit and with his various pieces of ninja gear equipped to various strategically chosen areas on his person along with his insect reserves confirmed properly. Then, after informing his family's support staff of his potential whereabouts and intended destinations for the day, he set out to meet up with the others on his team, namely Kiyoshi, Suzuya, and of course, their sensei named Neo, and her assistant named Ancha

So this is to be a series of missions done in conjunction with the formal squad that I have been assigned to...hmm, I wonder what sort of tasks will be on the docket today...

Nikola pondered the issue of these imminent missions in his mind as he headed over to the central lane where the mission notice had informed him to meet his sensei and the rest of his squad mates as well. It did not take long for that query to be answered, however, since soon after he had arrived on scene, he was handed a scroll by Neo while the situation was being explained by her assistant, Ancha, as was the norm with the two of them. So, Nikola waited patiently as the situation unfolded and once Kiyoshi gave him his Fuuma Shuriken, he stashed it in his backpack so it would be out of the way but still within reach he ended up needing it for these missions. Along with that, he also made sure to check on the gear and ninja tools he had brought with him just in case. To that end, first, he had his leather armor consisting of a vest strapped to his torso, a pair of spaulders strapped to his shoulders, a pair arm guards strapped to his arms, faulds strapped to his waist, cuisse on his hips and thighs, and finally, a pair of shin guards on his shins as per usual, used to provide him with some modicum of protection.

Besides this basic armor, he also had his baldric around his torso and this carried his pair of store-bought trench knives and 10 kunai, while the hip pouch affixed to his right hip carried two 15' Wire Reels, 3 smoke bombs, 3 flash bombs, 3 chili pepper bombs inside it. Then, there was also a holster strapped to his right thigh which contained 10 shuriken and 30 Caltrops. Finally, there was his backpack which carried within it three pouches, the first of which carried 5 blood pills, the second of which contained 5 coagulation pills, and the third and last one which housed 20 military ration pills, and all of this gear was out of sight for the time being since he did not expect to need them and wanted to keep them hidden from overly curious onlookers and yet within reach should the situation end up forcing him to use them. Most importantly of all the tools in his on-hand collection, however, were, of course, his Aburame insects consisting of 800 kikaichu, 180 shokaichu, and 20 bikochu, all of which were current on standby inside his body's hive space, and were ready to be deployed at a moment's notice, but again, he did not expect to need them just yet.

"I thank you for the free Fuuma Shuriken, Kiyoshi. Now then, please lead the way."

Nikola remarked to Kiyoshi and then after Kiyoshi started heading off to meet with their first mission overseer/client, this being Hibiki the gate guard, he followed suit and soon reached the point where he was supposed to meet said guard. Once he did, he stood at attention beside Kiyoshi and let the situation unfold as it may. As Nikola did, he took detailed mental notes on every topic upon which Hibiki was instructing them since he wanted his hands free to move into action should he be asked to by Hibiki at any point during this first mission. However, the only real event that transpired was a random street brawl which Hibiki then showed them practically how to defuse and that too in a swift and calm manner. So, Nikola made mental notes on these methods as well and filed them away for future reference after which point, he went off alongside his team back to where Neo and Ancha were waiting for their return, with Hibiki in the lead, of course. With that, the first mission was now complete and 2 of the 12 total hour time limit that Neo had allotted to doing the missions for the day's agenda had elapsed and now, Nikola waited to begin the next one alongside the others on his team, his facial expression and demeanor never once faltering from its calm as well as composed appearance with his usual well practiced businessman's cordial smile on it as was his default setting in most if not all situations despite the ruckus that he had borne witness to during this first mission in the series they had all been assigned today.
