A New Dawn

Ren would take off his Haori and drape it around Airi’s shoulders without a second though as he noticed her shiver from the cold, it was short sleeved but it would still provide more warmth than the dress provided. He wouldn’t be worried about the cold himself, he still had on his long sleeve undershirt. Though even without it he knew ways of using his chakra to keep himself warm, the inner fire of his Katon element. Her comment about getting him naked next time would bring a light smile to his face, “yes maybe next time, if I am so lucky.” He would reply musingly, he of course wouldn’t mind that at all. This was all fairly new to him, he wanted to take things slow, though that did not stop the thoughts from passing through his mind. Her agreeing to a second date would only increase those thoughts, as he imagined what their next date was going to entail. The thought of them together in the hot springs would bring a smile to his face as they walked, their path eventually taking them to the wall.

Her request for him to look away after letting go of his arm, would cause Ren to chuckle softly. “Of course, Airi. Whatever you need to feel comfortable.” He would reply with a smile before turning away from her and covering his eyes with his hand, of course he wouldn’t mind seeing just what all was under the dress he knew better than to be disrespectful. His time would come for all that eventually, for now he was just happy to enjoy her company there was always the chance of it happening next time. Ren would wait for Airi to give him the go ahead to look again before they would make their way up the wall, the whole time his eyes were covered he would be thinking to himself of what he could do or say while they were watching the sun set.

Ren couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at Airi's question of him getting cold, "I will be fine, Airi." He would reply with a smile, "I at least have my long sleeve shirt. Not to mention that one of the benefits of manipulating Katon is that I can warm myself up rather easily by manipulating the chakra in my body," Ren would add.

When Airi tripped, Ren would feel the pull on his arm slightly. Without hesitation he would move to catch her, stopping her from hitting the ground and ensuring that his Haori remained covering her the best it could. "I told you I would catch you," Ren would say with a wink as he helped her steady herself on her feet. Though he had been able to save Airi from hitting the ground, the tear in the fabric of the Haori would still form a hole. Ren would shake his head to Airi as she asked if it was some kind of heirloom, "no it's nothing like that and you do not have to apologize for an accident. I bought this from a shop in the Uchiha district, the tailor there is a friend of my mothers that gave me a discount on it." Ren would explain, "I have another one. There is no need for worry, if there is one thing the Uchiha have in abundance is clothing with our clan symbol on them." Ren added with a smile in an attempt to both make light of the situation as well as cheer Airi up. Looking up to the blanket of stars that was now spreading across the sky above the village for a moment before looking back to Airi. "I think perhaps I should get you home before your mother comes looking and tries to kill me." Ren stated before offering his arm to Airi once more, before beginning to head back to Airi's house. The last thing he wanted was to cause problems between Airi and her mother, and it would also work in his favor to try to get on the elder woman's good side considering the fact that if he was going to be seeing Airi more, his and her mother's paths were likely to cross each other often.
