Shadow Clone Shenanigans Empty Shadow Clone Shenanigans

Post by Irui Mikiri Sun Nov 14, 2021 12:24 am

Irui alighted on a large pipe, touching down with barely a tap on the cool metal. His dark ANBU cloak fell around him, settling like raven feathers, and he lifted his mask towards the moon.

    "Its almost time," He whispered.

He pulled back his sleeve, the bandages that bound it flashing muted colors of grey and grime, and he tugged. A filament of chakra unspooled from thin air, born aloft by his finger tips, and deftly wound itself through the wrappings. In the silver moonlight, he looked upon his pale, mangled skin-- no, this still wasn't his skin. Not yet. He turned over his hand, and splayed his fingers wide-- a double-diamond mark bared itself proudly.

I've only barely managed to absorb enough chakra to meet its conditions-- He looked down towards the alley below; the slack-jawed, bloodied face of a man stared emptily up at him. Further down the narrow, trash filled corridor, another body lay crumpled, scorch markings riddled his body where Lightning Style had pierced him.

He pressed his hands together, weaving a sign that conjured the corpses to the rooftop. Summoning seals burned like coals upon their skin, eliciting a sickeningly sweet stench from burning flesh and fabric. Jashinist seals coiled in place, shimmering with bloody light as they drank from the corpses.

Irui looked to the twisted faces of the men, studying their faces for a moment. Unfortunately, their deaths were necessary, even if Sero would have disapproved. Plots needed to move forward, development of character was only natural, and for the first time he'd tasted a piece of the power that Mora had possessed. Through their blood alone, he'd wrought chaos throughout their bodies. For every wound inflicted on himself, a wound opened on them. The stories of the Curse Technique had held true, but the technique was far from complete.

The condition for Man has been met. Irui thought, gazing upon the bloody corpses, and looked back to the moon, watching as the last sliver of shadow illuminated itself. And the condition for Heaven. Between the two of them, and myself, I meet the conditions for Earth as well; the Yin and Yang, and forces of nature embodied in chakra.

Irui dropped to the rooftop, coalescing from the shadow to kneel between the two men.The Shinobi gathered here for the festivities had been all too eager to scrap with him after a few drinks. Lord Okane had made the crucial decision to lower the Emporium's unique barriers and spells. Gathering the world's Shinobi at the grandest festival in the world, overflowing with alcohol had been his work too. Afterall, Irui knew he couldn't be responsible for another man's decisions. For these two men, their decision had been to show him their passion for revenge.

"Well, well... " He whispered, firmly grasping a kunai knife lodged in the man's breast. He worked it back and forth; bone cracking and liquid sloshing as he tried wriggling it free. "You did prove me right about one thing-- There is such a thing as a good kill. Wonder if I can claim that nice bounty. Maybe they'll count as "lightly sacrificed"?"

Irui brought his hands together, and wove handsigns-- Horse, Dragon, Rat, Hare--and planted them upon their chests. Blue flame erupted from between his fingers, and snarled to life as it hungrily consumed flesh and cloth. He watched for a moment longer, as his jutsu disintegrated bone, sinew, organs and tooth; reducing them to a shimmering flame.

    "Dark Release," He hissed, "Singularity."

At his command, bloody light spilled from the diamond mark, releasing a wailing cry.  Through his mask, he breathed in, feeling a bracing chill sweep through his arm and race into his core, eliciting a gasp from his lips. He could taste the chakra in the corpse-fire; Earth, full of minerals, wood, and loam; Wind, clear and wild; and Fire, warm, passionate and pure. The three met his own-- the cold clarity of Water, and violence of lightning-- and all he could sense was unity. Balance. A symbiosis between the five elements, and the flesh. It was as if everything had suddenly appeared within his grasp--

A chill cut the air, and raced up his spine, drawing his attention towards the horizon.

    "Just in time."
