Shin’s suggestion of finding a restaurant in Iwa that served cactus fruit made her smile. She doubted whether any would, but she appreciated the gesture. She wasn’t particularly worried about the fruit in particular, but his attention to something that she wanted was noted and in a way made her feel special. “If we can’t find it here, then maybe one day I could take you to the Land of Wind and you could try it there.” It was a far reaching plan, but she hoped one day to return to the land of her birth and would be grateful to have her friend by her side when she did.
She allowed herself to be tugged along by Shin, the prospect of finding something to eat slightly over taking her nervousness about venturing back out into the world. His promise still stuck in her mind though, and even as he released her hand she knew instinctively that she could trust him to keep his word. “We’ll find something, and whatever it is I’m more interested in getting to know you then what we’re eating anyway.” After all this time of feeling alone, she finally had someone she thought she could rely on. With a smile on her face she would follow Shin out of the house and off to find some lunch.
