Diana's Backroom Crafting Thread

Diana stretched as she sat in her chair. Ever since taking up the head of the clan she'd been swamped with work, but today that wouldn't stop her. over the past several months she had been working on something special and had been trying to get funding for it in the same amount of time, and with her now having a mini-working model on-hand, she was able to get the funding she needed.

The Crystal Communications Tower.

It was to be her proper foray into uniting the world, and to allow her to leave without too much worry.

"Miss Diana, all preperations are ready for construction of the tower."

"Good to hear. I want all hands on deck for this one. Why it is not the Pylon Network, so long as the sensory center is functioning we can put that on hold for a little longer, but rest assured that will be the next thing once we attack the relay."

"Very well. And while we don't say it often, we are thankful for your designs."

"Think nothing of it. I am only clan head out of nessesity, if it were not for all of you, I doubt I would even be able to make the clan whole again, let alone a simple shop."

He'd nod before walking out of the room, and Diana would follow shortly after, schematics in tow. It had been a long year, and while war was once again on their doorstep, as soon as this was complete she was sure her...her homeland would be a little bit safer.

It had taken Diana the better part of a week, but she had done it. Taking breaks in-between her work to slowly learn how to make a copy of herself through the shadow clone jutsu so she could work on some Clay Tags, it was a slow yet ultimately rewarding endeavor. It was a process she was quite unfamiliar with, and given her chakra reserves were naturally low, she was limited to only one clone. There were other clone techniques she knew she could learn, such as the crystal or explosive clone technique, but one was unrefined and required a chakra upkeep she couldn't keep up with, and the other required a technique no one in the village could preform as of yet. But having a shadow clone worked in her interests, as it let her take care of things such as shopping while she crafted new creations. She had tried splitting her attention and tried to work on a clay tablet while she also directed work on the Crystal Comm tower, but all that did was force her to lose several days work. Still, crafting didn't require too much chakra, even fuinjutsu, so doing a task such as a market trip of getting food to eat didn't hinder her mental capacities that much.

"Miss Diana, is there anything you need us to do?"

The clone would turn around, looking at the woman who had addressed her. She couldn't recall her name, but she was one of several possible people she debated on taking on as an apprentice. "Not today, but I will let you know if anything comes up. Thank you again and give them my thanks for me please."

"That I shall miss Diana."

Diana would return to her backroom once more, looing over the new plans she had written up. they were simple, just like last time, but instead of making a tower, she was making an add-on to it so she could use her Iwatomics Royal outside of Iwa. And also some clay tags, as she was going to need to learn more sealing techniques soon enough.

Taking a step back yet again, Diana would look at the additional tower attached to the Crystal Comm Tower. It was nothing special, but it was still a nice thing to see your inventions take root. Still, there was more to be done, and not enough time to do it all. Forming the handseal several times, Diana would make several more units of her unique crystal and set them to the side, then she'd make a clone to go head to the market. it would be a little bit, seeing as the particular item she needed, ebony in this case, was near the edge of her range and she'd need to plan out the amount of range carefully. But she was a smart cookie, and after giving the money to her clone, it'd take off to go buy her metal for the new weapon.

Still, she had to finish up this clay tag first, as she had plenty of plans for these tags. It was apparent that while she had a base of an Ideal, she'd eventually need to make a stronger clay mixed with her crystals. Problem was that the potential recipe she wanted was beyond the scope of her mind, and without it it would be a pain to pull off. Still, the tags were becoming more and more stacked as time went on, and soon enough she'd need to actually make something out of them. The first thought was some sort of shield, or maybe a sort of clay tarot deck, but that was ruled out. they did double as a sort of shingle ffor roofing, maybe she could make something with them along those lines? Possibly. But, once this one was done, she'd need to prepare her newest weapon with some proper ammo.

She had made good progress. She had finished up the clay tag, and had made a mold out of the extra clay she had from it to start working on her Overall the prototypes were in good hands, but she felt that she could do better, no, she KNEW she could do better. As she continued to make more and more rounds from her unique crystal, her clone would finally show up, and with time to spare. While she wouldn't need the Ebony for a bit, being able to have more plastic to create her tools was always nice to have on hand. She'd let the clone dissipate, then she'd make an additional two units of her crystal in case she got a bit too much into her workload and moved onto the projectile weaponry too fast.

She'd then take another step back and look at her current crafting schedule. Right now she was working on weapons, but once that was done, what would be next? Maybe she could make stronger weaponry, but then she'd have to deal with the fact she had become a weapon dealer. It was true, but she wasn't ready to face that head-on yet. No, what she needed was more stuff under her original craft of engineering. She'd start to draw up several designs for a self-driving bicycle, as well as several new tombstone devices. If there were to work, she'd need to find a way for them to draw off of latent chakra, and maybe her ability to seal things may be the answer.

Picking up the Lancer, Diana would smile as she held the first proper improved firearm that she had ever made. the design was an absolute pain to get correct, making sure that it could fire not only crossbow bolts, but to also fire her unique brand of Crystal. It was a nice one-handed...well she couldn't call it a crossbow anymore, hence the title of Lancer. It definitely was more crossbow then cannon, though she did take some inspiration from them with it's metallic base and added some unique twists, like the springs. During it all she had hoped to find a way to incorporate her Kotoshura side into the design, and while she had found several possible solutions, she had to shelve the idea for the future, as it was an Iwatomics weapon, not a Kotoshura weapon.

The other one she was currently working on though, held some interesting promise. While she knew how to make a ballista, attempting to reduce all of that machinery into a small crossbow-like weapon wasn't an easy task. She had found a few possible answers, but none were perfect. It was definitely going to be a two-handed weapon, that's for sure. She the big problem though was getting the aim down correctly. She was not well versed in long-ranged aiming, and while she could easily hit a target with the Mark I, she knew that the stronger they became the harder they would be to aim. But Iwatomic's survival relied on her, so she would deliver.

Taking another step back, Diana would note the time and how late it had gotten. She had been so absorbed in her crafting she hadn't bothered to eat at all. As such, she'd get up and go to another part of her workshop, a small kitchen setup made for long nights such as this. She'd grab a cup and metal pot, fill the pot up with water, and then set it on top of the stove. Today felt like more of a hot chocolate sort of day, so as the water began to boil she went to the mini fridge and pulled out some milk.

Eventually, the pot began to whistle, and she'd take it off the stove. and pour a little into the cup. She'd then set the pot back onto the stove, not turned off, and poured in the chocolate mix into the cup. She'd then take the pot back in hand and pour some more water in, leaving enough so she could put in a few more items into the cup. Diana would then take a small sip of milk from the carton (because it was her milk and she could do as she pleased) and poured some of it into the cup, cooling the drink enough for her.

Walking back to the workstation, cut in hand and some cookies on a plate she pulled out after, she'd look to her schematics. There was still more she could do, and she felt like she was on the breakthrough of more things she could make to help those she cared about.

As she finished working on the final bits and pieces of her lancer rounds, Diana noticed a discrepancy in her next designs. She had been planning on making some crystal bucklers for her foray into armor smithing, but looking at the designs again she noticed that her design was incorrect. Pouring over her other blueprints she was distraught with how many mistakes she had made, but they could be salvaged, she just needed to think about how to rework them. Now that she was thinking about it, this was actually a good time to think about how she was going to carry around all of her gear.

Moving over to her design studio area, she'd scroll through her Tombstone device and see what possible jutsu she could use to fix this issue. After some time, she found the one she was looking for, one that fit pretty well with her needs: Lightning Flash Blade Creation. Taking up a brush, she'd begin to practice her calligraphy again she she began to copy the seal she was looking at. It was something she was unused to, coping another person's work, but it was in the public domain, so she couldn't complain. Now that she thought about it, was there even a truly public domain, or was is just that you would take what you could get? Answers for another day.

As she continued to practice her line work, she'd take small breaks laying out he best way for her to think up new blueprints for her work. With the amount of tags she had been making, she'd need several new ways to store her gear, as she was nowhere near strong enough to move them, even without thinking about the logistics of how hard it would be to move a mountain of tags. Still, after a few more hours of work (and some much needed rest) She understood the seal enough she was confident she could use it in a...well flash.

Diana was starting to get tired and mentally fatigued. She had been locked up in her room for so long, her well of ideas was starting to run dry. But it wasn't empty yet, and she had more to do. She had stepped outside and bought more materials as well as to get some fresh air, but it wasn't quite enough. Setting down her tools, she'd take a moment to step outside and look at the sky.

It was pretty, but it didn't help.

Going back inside, she picked up her tools once more, and continued to craft. Iwatomics needed a uniform, and even if it was a basic one, having some sort of protection was better then her current clothes.

Diana took a step back and looked at her work. After she had finished up making her Bucklers, she decided to take a small break from crafting. While it was fun and all, she was starting to get very tired, and constantly working didn't help that. So she decided to spend some time sprucing up her shop. Not a lot of people came in, but every so often she'd get someone to come in and buy a small item or two.

Going up front and flipping the sign to say 'closed', she look back at her little work home. It wasn't much, some pots here, some glass there, and a few weapons scattered around the store that people had misplaces. She'd start there, going around and putting the misplaced items back into their proper places. It was strange, seeing her own work valued when she never tried to offer it to anyone else before, but it was a nice strange.

She'd go and grab the broom next, a lovely little thing that she had bought a little bit ago. She'd go around, sweeping away the dust that was gathered on the ground, taking the time to enjoy the simplicity of it all. Her mind drifted as she worked, from the war to her place in it, and why she was still here. As much as she didn't want to admit it, this place was starting to feel more like a proper home, which worried her. The last time she felt like this she had to leave because they learned she had two bloodlines, and felt threatened because of it. Yet here she wouldn't be hunted down, and was in fact appreciated because of it. Maybe she could call this place home. Maybe.

With the sweeping done, she'd put the broom back and go back to work. There was more to be done.

Entering her old workshop again, she'd find that the prototypes she had made before she had been incapacitated were still there, and as tempting as it was to start a new and exciting craft, she knew she needed to warm up to her skills once more. As such, she'd take some of the clay she had stored up and began her warmup crafts once more.

At the same time, she'd apply the Iwa Kinjutsu technique upon herself. It was slow going, but it was something she had come here for, and with the time spent soacked in medical chakra as well as the books she was given, she new had a better understanding of how to apply it.

She needed more tags.

There was something in the back of her mind, asking her to keep making more and more tags. It was...consuming. She wasn't sure what it was. But she Needed. More. Tags. Everything else could wait. Buy why could they wait? Surely she could sneak in a craft or two to let her hands ease up at the need to mix the clay correctly? Maybe. She'd need to plan it out correctly though. For now though she could prepare for it. Stepping away from the massive pile of the clan's clay she'd pick up her sketch board, and began drawing up a new idea. A large tower, taller then any building she had envisioned before, higher then the clouds. It was made of crystal & steel, surrounded by smaller domes one could live or work in. A name was vaguely there, but she couldn't grasp it.

She needed to work harder, it was as if it was calling out to her. With the war and summit she wasn't sure what to expect, but she wouldn't let anyone hurt her. Her her workshop. Hurt...her clan. Not family, she had none. But the clans were close enough. Iwa was not her home though. No one had updated her status, and she was perfectly fine with that. Really if it were not for her crafts then she would've gone to visit another nation by now. But the craft came first. The tower came first.

Finishing up her design she'd take a sip of her coffee and get back to work.

Diana sat surrounded by her clay creations.

Why was she so dedicated to making these? They were always made the same way. Take some clay, get it a little wet, place them in a mold, then let them sit out in the sun for the day, with occasional check ups to make sure they were molded properly. Perhaps there was some grand design she had for them. Perhaps it was a way to pass the time. But the more she worked on them, the more she wondered. The consuming need to make more had dulled a little, and she was grateful for that. Titania had found her one day passed out on the floor, muttering that she needed to make more tags before time ran out. She got little done that day, but Titania had made sure to take care of it.

Taking the time to create some tetsudashi steel for future projects, the pulverizer coming to mind a that would be a boon for future works, she turned to her blueprints. Recently she had picked up a puppetry book for beginners and had taken the time to draw up a few designs. nothing was solid as while she understood the engineering and weapon aspect of them, it was their interaction with chakra strings that eluded her, and at the moment she was unable to produce any. Still, they at least survived the testing phase, her attempts at a mechanical horse were...not good. However, as she flipped through her book, she saw some old sketches that had potential. Sure they were prototypes, but if she could get them to work, she could revolutionize Iwatomics and prevent future warfare.

Placing the book to the side of her workbench, she'd pull out a new set of schematics. It'd take a good while to refine their design, but she was sure she could get a working design made soon enough, perhaps in time for whatever new war the shinobi had decided to create. She didn't like fighting, sure, but she had to be able to defend herself, and this was a good test to see what she was capable of.

The Crystal Princess frowned. The winds of change had come, and she knew she'd need to rethink her approach from now on. New ideas as to what she could create weren't coming to fruition, and the last bit of clay tag creation felt...hollow. In an attempt to fix that hollowness she had begun her work on the Hihoni Proto, and while the proto-prototype seemed to be coming along well, it wasn't ready yet.

Taking up the proto-prototypes of her weapons, she'd form the boar sign and make some crystal goggles for herself, an idea she had come up recently for when she needed to perform menial tasks in the workshop but couldn't find her proper work goggles. There were other uses for it, sure, but it was how she liked to use them. She had also worked on a way to hide her elemental signature while not impeding her ability to fight, as she knew her best offense was surprise. moving over to a dummy she had made from clay, she took a few test strikes at it, then inspected the damages. The proto-prototypes seemed to have a good form, but one of the spikes had bent slightly, making less of a dent in the dummy. Nothing she couldn't fix, but it was a little saddening. The work she put in these was longer then most items she had made next to those masks, and the masks were only prototypes like these. The thought of the real thing was a little exciting to thing about.

She set the tekko back onto her workbench, and thought about what she was gong to do next, but not in the realm of crafts. No, as head of the Korikane she needed to decide where she was going to take the clan next. The previous clan head was behind bars, the next clan head hadn't been decided, and with her residential status in a grey area she wasn't sure what would happen to the shop after her death.

She needed to make a will. So she took out a sheet of paper and began to write  as she crafted, unsure of what to say but knowing she must say it.

Progress. Actual, tangible progress. Before her was perhaps some of her greatest creations, and she had already started progress on her third. Sure creating her masks were rather complicated, making sure that their crystalline structure supported the strain they'd encounter, but these felt different, not something she had simply made in order to fill a quota or to improve her proficiency. No, this was something she could see using in the future on the regular.

...She had changed, hadn't she?

Diana took the Tekko in her hands as she thought. Before she had been put into that crystal, she didn't enjoy fighting, preferring to avoid it. But the more she had interacted within shinobi society, the more she kept delving deeper into combat. And then, after she had reawoken, her mind was even more combat focused. It was...bothersome. Sure she had made weapons before, but to be excited to use them on another? Before, it would have felt wrong outside of a contract, but now?

Now she wasn't so sure.

She'd pick up the crossbow as well and made her way over to her testing area, setting the crossbow to the side as she entered a lax strong fist stance. Making a few shadow jabs, she'd then move up to her testing dummy and made a proper strike at it. The clay impression was enough to tell her she had made something that would serve her well, even if it was the proto version. She then swap out her gear for Guren Tojiru, and after loading in a test bolt, fired it down range. It was perfect for her needs, as she wasn't looking for range with this design. No, this one was made for stealth, and she was glad to see it was working as intended. All that was left was Guren Hanarete, the true test of power.

Swapping the old for the new, she'd go and grab the extra materials she had bought from the market into the workshop, making sure to take a quick lunch break as she did so. When she came back though, while she hadn't rested for too long, she was sure she could pull a few more nights without worrying about her chakra levels.

Diana had taken a few days off from crafting once she had completed her second to last version of the Guren Hanarete Prototype. Then again 'taking a few days off' for Diana was just making a simpler craft, in this case the Iwatomics Pulverizer as well as visiting the Heavenly Emporium. It was a much needed break though, as it gave her time to think. Time to plan. Time to reflect.

Diana pulled out her idea book, the most recent one a seal that had come to her in her deep sleep. It was odd the more she thought on it as her dreams of late came back to that seal. After waking up much of her unconscious mind was that of her past, but not this seal. Bits and pieces of how to create the thing had come and gone, with each instance slowly drawn into her book. It was a large and complex body seal, one that's inscriptions & infusions were concerning at first. But she had begun to understand why when she had made a test version. Results were mixed, but she was lucky in that it hadn't killed her.

The crafter took a long sip of her iced tea, the thought of the recent meeting with the puppeteers taking front and center. With Chika having stopped with her craft, the association would likely fall apart of no one tried to pick up the reigns. Trying to contact Gyo was something she'd need to put in effort to do now, thank the Sage she'd be able to do that in through the Emporium, but the fact is she was likely the best person to take it up given her status as the Head of Iwatomics Incorperated. It could also be she was being narcissistic, it was becoming harder to tell since waking up even after she took several medical checkups.

Pulling out the next set of blueprints, she'd begin generating new materials for her crafts. the Multitool was something that likely didn't need to be as high-quality and complex as she had made it, but it was good practice, and something she could give to others without much worry. At least this way she could get a better understanding of puppets. Maybe.

"It is done."

Diana held up the last prototype of the Guren Hanarete, smiling as she did so. It had been a long time coming, but she had indeed finished her work. The sleek design if the crossbow-like weapon was truly a marvel to behold, and looking back she was glad to have focused on this design. And yet, the weapon felt hollow, with the war on the decline she had little reason to have it anymore as she had grown in her ability to use jutsu. No, that wasn't right, her lower chakra reserves were proof enough she needed outside gear to make sure she would stay safe. And yet, she wasn't sure if it would be enough.

Setting the weapon down Diana would pull out a floppy disk reminicent to the one Chika had given her, and began tinkering with it. In truth she had made a few copies of the original, rather easily in fact, and had made sure to keep that one safe seeing as she couldn't contact the strange Hyuuga girl anymore. She had made some progress in the past few days, in fact she had unlocked one piece of it. Just one. It was information on how her father had created the AI, though not all of it. Some bits of the info were still muddled, and as long as they were locked away Diana knew she wouldn't be able to recreate the AI. Several hours would pass, with little progress made on the disk, so she set it aside and got up to grab a drink.

Entering the makeshift kitchen Diana got herself a light coffee, something she didn't necessarily like but something she knew she'd need for the coming crafts when she saw her notebook was open on one of the tables. Finishing filling her cup she'd walk over and pick the book up and noticed that there were notes clearly in her handwriting she didn't recall making. Formulas for the bijuu seal she had been working on now modified for something less like a storage seal and more like a dimensional link. And the formulas were correct in theory. By the time she had looked up from the formula an hour had passed and her coffee was on the table, though she didn't recall putting it there. Maybe she should have been afraid, but the formula's contents were clear: if she could pull this off, she wouldn't need to worry about being an danger.

It was time to get to work.

The sun was beaming out over Iwa today. Which was a fine sight in his home village. He was walking down the road way. As he had very important things to make. He was well, in his mind dangerously close to creating the perfect picture. But something was off his art itself was well rather dull. Then again his father sent him to the store well some kinda shop owned by well. The one who now runs the clan. Which was odd as he never really saw thier face before. All he knows is that this was a female name Diana, and she was a force to be recognized and reckoned with. All that means one thing to him. His small family really been out of reach from the clan. As he was thinking this. He did not know what to expect from all this. Especially seeing that his father was talking ill about the clan well the way the family have settle from thier old way of life.

As he made it to a decent size building shop of sorts. With his blueprint in his hand. Ghost would walk up to the door. He would put his hand over his face to look in it. Next thing next. He would give a peak out in it. Looking around to see nobody. But odd looking things. He would break away and give a knock on it. As he felt it rude to just walk in someone place of business. "Well I need to make a good first impression. Hope I like this Clan Leader and her to me."

The store itself was rather unassuming despite it being inside the Korikane Clan District, but it was by design. Diana herself was located in the back of the store, with her Forgemaster Titania away gathering materials for the main items. Even within her workshop Diana had a good ear for the noises her shop made, and a knocking sound was not one of them. Stepping away from her current project, a multitool she had made for her and others to use, she'd activate what she was dubbing for the day her 'customer third eye', and was surprised to see a Kotōshura right outside her store, but she was very sure as to why they had arrived.

A week earlier she had put out a notice within the Kotōshura Clan district that while the Iwa Kinjutsu was now under their purview, she was limiting it's distribution for a few months for the safety of the Clan and the Village. Any Kotōshura Jounin was allowed to learn and have the technique applied to them, but any lower would require the permission of Diana herself. There was backlash, which she expected, and the nex day she had put out the second half of the announcement; the reformation of the Iwagakure Blast Corps. While she was looking for Special Jounin or higher, one's shinobi rank was not a limiting factor for joining, and those who joined were allowed to learn the Kinjutsu and have it applied. That seemed to make the majority happy, which was good enough for her.

Preforming a tiger seal she'd send out a clone to meet the mysterious newcomer, The main Diana going back to her work as the clone went to the front of the shop and opened the door. "Welcome to Iwatomics Incorperated; I assume you are here for the secondary screening to become one of the Blast Corps? If not we do have a wide variety of wares you can purchase." Diana would gesture for the boy to come in. Whether or not they were here for the jutsu, she was also a businesswoman and showing off her wares (even if by proxy) was still important.

Crafting:

As the door open his heart would start to skip beat after beat. Just what was this feeling of his? Ghost would look on as a person came to the door. As he watched it open. A female would pop out. As he looked on he would have the blast corp papers in his hand. Ghost would let her finish off what she was saying. As not to be rude to the head of the clan. As he looked on she would mention that she had a few things for sell. To which his eyebrow raised up. Maybe she had the right kind of art materials he needed. But soon he would snap back to reality.

As he would clear his throat as he walked inside. He would look around as he waited for her to pass by him. As he would say to her. "Hello there, my name is Ghost Kotōshura and I come from said Clan. It is no secret the clan is up in arms. At the latest decision made for the clan. But I am here to join this new frontier that you have in store Lady Diana." As he said that he would bow landing on his knees with his right fist down. Which was a sign of respect for the head of a clan or state.

The boy's speech was...a little more unusual then she had expected, but it wasn't completely unique. While blast release without the kinjutsu was often unfocused and exploded outwards, she had seen a few people who made the mistake of misfiring and hitting themselves, doing some serious mental damage. Still, his intent for being at her shop was clear, which meant she had to act as a clan leader; pity. Letting the boy in she would raise an eyebrow at his show of respect, then spoke in her monotone voice. "Rise, Ghost. I am grateful for your show of respect, but consider today an exception due to this meeting. Basic courtesy will suffice."

Waiting for him to rise, once he had she would direct him to one of the store's side rooms, speaking as she led him to it. "I am not surprised that the clan is not happy with my decision, but there was a reason it was labeled as a Kinjutsu by Riyashi Kotōshura. I have no desire to see more Kotōshura harm themselves because they treated the Iwagakure Kinjutsu as a toy, and until our clansmen see that they do not need to be completely reliant on the Kinjutsu they will likely stay barred from using it. I hope that you keep this is mind as we go forward with this meeting."

The side room was nothing too impressive to those who fully knew of what Diana could accomplish, a table and chairs made of Korikane Crystal & Tetsudashi Steel, some dishes made of ceramic, the walls covered in a plain wallpaper, and a large stack of papers held down by a really cool looking rock that Diana had found in the Muramatsu District. The rock was so cool it could have had limericks written about it, but alas it was not the day for some rockin' poetry. Diana would move to the chair nearest to the papers, and gesture to the chair on the opposite side of the table. She would then sit down, and once her client sat as well she would continue once more, sifting through the papers and looking for his registration with her peripherals, not breaking eye contact with him.

"We shall start with three questions and go from there. Why do you believe you are fit to join the Iwagakure Blast Corps? What makes you worthy of the catalyst that has brought countless to their knees? What would you do you were denied both of these today?"

Meanwhile the real, not-clone Diana was still hard at work in the back of her shop, not worried in the slightest about the current meeting going on with the genin.

As she said to raise up he would look on. As he would do just that. Now that she said not to be so formal he was at a lost. Not to call her by the given title of clan leader. Then what was he to call her Lady Diana maybe? Anyhow Ghost would take a deep breath as he would say to her. "I truly thank you for what you did. My mother died from a inexperienced bomb user. So you did me a favor. But ever since that day my father has been training me to tame our clan power. But now he got one foot into the grave. I plan on making them both proud of me." As he looked all around the store of hers he would be impressed. The art styles were something to see in his eyes. Ghost would wonder did she designed them herself?

As he walked to this side room of her's he would be amazed indeed.
But soon he would snap back to it as she asked him questions regarding if she should let him use the bomb style and join the Corps. With the first question in mind he would respond. "Well to began I understand what it means to be part of a greater goal and it gets no greater then the.
Blast Corps we stand and always will stand for and always be the symbol of power and respect. Our feats even put the Uchiha and Senju to shame. I know I will bring justice to the corps and I can stand to show the others how a true member should act with such a gift." Looking on he would go to the second one and say. "On this very note. Every member thinks they are worthy of being a member of the blast corps. They were literally born into it. But unlike many I will literally Die for it. I seek to usher in this new era version of the Blast corps. I rather show you then tell you. As my words would be a far cry from my actions and last. But not least, If I was to be denied then I would simply put in more work. I would do what I must to prove I am more then a simple Blast Corps wannabe but a member of the clan who knows. What it means to say you are and too represent the Blast Corps and clan at large."

It was nice to hear that her rulings had some sort of positive effect, but it still hurt knowing that the person she was interviewing had to lose one parent to the very thing she was prying to prevent and another who was close to death. It was something she would need to closely monitor as even if the person before her was of age, losing two parents wouldn't be healthy for their mental health. Then again it was unlikely many shinobi would have stable mental health after the war, but the war had awoken the clans to the differences between a duel, a battle, and a war.

Diana clone carefully considered the boy's words as he answered her questions. The first one felt somewhat standard, but it wasn't incorrect. Even without the Kinjutsu as long as one knew how to angle their blasts they could at the very least match them. The pride was also apparent but something still ate at her. The second question quickly answered that nagging feeling though, the pride in their willingness to die for a spot within the Blast Corps. While it was a common phrase enough, was he just exaggerating, or would he actually take the risk? It was something to think about as she listened to the third question's answer, reinforcing the likelihood it was an exaggeration.

She would sit in silence for a few seconds, bringing her hands together as she considered what to do next, the papers resting back in place. She could go about this a few ways, none of them quite satisfying enough for her, but he hadn't met any disqualifiers...yet. "Hmm." She'd pull out her tomestone device and began scrolling through it, finding what she was looking for. "I am still unsure as to whether or not you are proper material for the Blast Corps, but you are not disqualified yet. You wish to show me and say that you would do what you must to prove you are more."

She would set the tomestone down and make eye contact with the shinobi one again. "If that is the case I wish to see your potential. I am sending you out on a mission that has recently popped up. The mission is to apprehend several thieves that have taken up home within Iwa. I want you to find them, take them down, and capture them. Once you have completed the mission, bring me a copy of the after-action report, and we shall decide your placement & possible application of the Kinjutsu then. Is that understood?"

Diana raised an eyebrow as he didn't respond. Whether he was contemplating as to whether he would take the mission or not, she wasn't sure, but it was up to him to decide. As she waited she'd hear a small buzzing noise from her tomestone and would check it out. Apparently something happened at the Heavenly Emporium and her expertise was needed. "Well, you can think on it at the very least. Unfortunately I believe that is all the time I can give for you today, Once you have completed the mission we may discuss this further." Diana would gently guide Ghost outside of her shop, and once he was out she'd flip the sign to 'closed'. After a few seconds, the clone would then dissipate, the memories returning to Diana.

The real Diana flinched as the memories came back to her, her hand twitching from the unexpected memories catching her off-guard and her current work knocked over. "Well, that is a problem." Standing up she'd turn off the grinder she was using for her crafts and begin making preparations for the travel to the Emporium once more. Really it was good she got it now as she just started work on the next craft, so picking up where she left off would take too much time. It would also let her restock up on more resources for her work, seeing as she had gotten rather low.

Exiting out the back door, she' d give a wave to her subordinates who helped keep the shop clean and running while she was gone. Truly if it were not for them her shop would have gone under. Titania especially, but those were thoughts for another day. Checking her Tomestone once again, she'd reread what was requested of her.

Her chemical knowledge.

48 Hour irl lapse - Ghost

Crafting:

Diana returned to her workshop once more, noting that the boy who had asked for the Kinjutsu not having replied about the mission she had him go out on. It was a shame, but so long as he hadn't proven he was responsible enough to handle the power, he would not be given it.

Then again, she wasn't sure if she herself was responsible enough as she pulled out her medical tools to apply the kinjutsu to herself.

As she applied the proper kinjutsu onto her hands & chest, she thought back to the old version she had tried to apply to herself and the strange events that occurred with gaining it. She had been told at the time that the false version was given to them thanks to a deal made, and while that was true, she later learned it was a political move to try and get Diana into good graces with Iwa's upper class. The ploy didn't last too long, and even though the technique was a fake, it had let her look the part for a few months. Now though, the real transaction had been made and she had the proper kinjutsu, she could feel her medical knowledge start to slip, hence why she was doing the medical work in her workshop.

The workshop. She needed to make more items. While Titania had kept the place up and running, her back room had gathered some dust that would need to be cleaned up before she began heavy work again, though when she would she wasn't sure. The work on her strange seal had consumed her, to the point where some days she was catatonic from the previous days of work. It needed to get done, it was unhealthy for her and as soon as she understood it she would be able to get back to a normal state of life.

Finishing up the work, Diana gave herself a once-over to make sure she had applied the kinjutsu properly before putting her clothes back on and locking up her backroom.
