The Moon Wall Main Gate

Footsteps on the road let out a silent clap with every step as wood met with stone and Seigi's feet carried him towards the wall. It was large and imposing, very similar to the gates of Kumogakure, but with it's own aesthetic and twists customary for the town. As Seigi approached, he was met by two guards, and after a moment of conversation, Seigi was let into the gates without any trouble, stepping foot into the small town.

Even from beyond the gate, he could see the massive tower that reached into the sky, the true Moonspire. Moving forward along the road, Seigi made sure to keep a sharp eye on his surroundings.

Andariel arrived to Moonspire after a pleasant stroll through the main road. No trouble befell as her usual; highwaymen typically picked the next victim over her in rare cases she encountered their presence. Entering the gates she sought a great craftsman to fulfil her need for ebony weapons and armor.

Still wearing the same outfit that concealed her identity, covered from head to two with two layers of masks, Ikomiki would provide a bit of additional insurance as she finally approached the Moon Walls. Completely invisible due to the Hiding with Camouflage Technique, Ikomiki approached silently and invisible to the massive reinforced steel walls. She couldn’t help but respect massive feats of engineering like this even if ignorant to the methods of which they were created. Just seeing something so large and imposing was enough to gain her respect. Regardless, while covering her tracks like this Ikomiki would climb up the outer walls, bypassing the entrance by simply using her supernatural walking practice to walk flat on the outer steel surface, until she was able to enter.

As too wearing the same gear, Hana entered the gates regularly being the only figure to pass through them in her party. With her skin covered by clothing, hood up, and face, there were no details about her that would expose her identity. Silently she passed through the front gates.

Akihiro would follow Ikomiki over the walls, using the two same techniques she did and having made the seals and chakra molding for them and sensory before the walls were in sight. He was wearing the enchanted spider silk mask and what he called "Cloak 2", which was a specially crafted piece of clothing that had several items sealed inside it. Not that it mattered, he was invisible. It was nice to see her doing better and well now, considering how badly she felt during the boat trip. Akihiro too could onl respect the massive size of these walls and the general development of the town. Unlike the Hidden villages which had a mix of old and new buildings alike, this place was modern and looked brand new. He had to wonder if Kumogakure intended to make this yet another fortress from which they could defend the Land of Lightning. The Land of Lightning was lucky to have such competent leaders and now entrepreneurs. Akihiro remembered Kameko from the Land of Fire, who had not only been a remarkable ninja but a very successful business woman as well. Fate decided to take her away from them via a pandemic.

Seigi could hear the thundering, even from the distance he was from Darhk Tower. Steadily, he would walk to the port side of the ship, sliding open the door to the hull. Wind would immediately blast him in the face, his mask protecting his vision, but his robes would flap wildly in the wind. Out of nowhere it seemed, two large slabs of stone, seeming to dwarf the tower itself, would close in on them, just as a massive airship would appear overhead the town.

"What the hell...?" Seigi would ask himself, watching as the tower fell, water would rush the streets of the city, and the screams of the innocent would begin to fill the air.

"Pilot, keep moving to Kumo! Seigi would scream to him, instantly taking defensive measures. Someone was coming for the town, but he was too far away to properly tell who. He needed to move fast.
The airship would continue on its path, away from the Moonspire, away from Damien and the battle. Seigi would mutter a small prayer for the civilians in the streets as he saw the airships begin firing, attempting to decimate everything. The airship was just going too slow for him, however.

"Get to Kumo!" He would say before jumping out of the cargo door, propelling himself into the trees below as the airship dropped it's height, not missing a step as his footing would quickly outpace the shuttle. He would draw upon his sand, readying it for a moment's notice, just in case anyone else was lurking about.

Andariel scurried out the front gates with her wings spanning wide to gain some air. The freak disaster and series of explosions and mountains of fire was a total Armageddon to witness. Something that would force anyone not familiar with the power level to flee. Andariel knew she was outnumbered. Sword and shield served little purpose in this fight. The best she could do is flee and seek help from the stronghold, though she feared things would be too late by the time reinforcements arrived.

Leaving the wreckage of Moonspire behind him, the survivors from below, led by Zhu Li, would be coming at their own pace toward Kumogakure, toward safety and security. Tamwyn himself would move toward Kumogakure, the tape of the disaster from the Moonspire security system safely secured within his coat as he moved toward his home village. As he traveled his thoughts went to the woman who had witnessed the destruction with him. She had just been sealed by Damien not an hour prior to the disaster that had occurred and just like that she was lifted from it's constraints. It must not have been a good feeling. To know that one had gone through such a painful sealing process for naught. The yellow eyed man considered what he might be able to do for her to help her through what she had witnessed. He himself wasn't even sure how far the tape went. His eyes had unfocused, glazed over when the mass slaughterings started. He had never felt like such a failure before, despite his orders to remain with Yenn the entire time and keep her safe and ensure they remained alive.

His thoughts drifted toward his raven haired lover, he used that term freely within the confined of his own mind. For that was what she was to him. They shared the same home, and the same bed. They cherished each others company, both on a physical and emotional level. There he felt something growing, something strong, that would withstand any storm they might try to break them, so long as they stayed together. They would weather this one together, for they needed no one else. So long as they had each other. His thoughts turned dark as they moved toward the village, a village that had only one or two individuals in it who mattered to either of them. A village that had taken his family from him, and had not punished those who had committed the crime. As a matter of fact, Ryuko, despite giving him her trust, and granting him access to their most secret of techniques, had effectively given them a free pass so long as they did not continue to do so. A burning core sparked to life within the yellow eyed man's heart and his bright yellow eyes would glow with an eerie light as his unconsciously channeled raiton chakra through his coils. Still, his duty was to report in and deliver the tape, and he would do his duty as required. However now, after all of this, at seeing just how vulnerable they were, and considering within the depths of his mind just how much the 'village' meant to him compared to the woman who had trusted him with her life, body, and heart. He felt himself on a precipice. One in which he did not know what lay below.

Yenn travelled with Tamwyn away from the destruction of Moonspire, trying to suppress the memories of what had just occurred there. Away from the groups of survivors, being led by Zhu Li, the wall of stoicism she had hastily erected crumbled and fresh tears ran down her face. There was no sobbing this time, no gasping for breath, just a steady flow of pain that her body didn’t know what to do with. The last hour had been a waking nightmare, an event she knew she would never forget. She was glad that Tamwyn had the Moonspire security tape securely in his coat, and that the victims of the terrorist attack would not be forgotten. To have gone through so much horror, so much pain and then to have no one to speak for them. It was unthinkable to her.

She kept an eye on Tamwyn, watching as his eyes glowed and she could only imagine what he must be feeling at that moment. Unlike her, Tamwyn was actually a capable combatant, and he had been ordered to stay at her side and keep her safe. She had been grateful, and still was, for the consideration. But she couldn’t help but feel that if she were stronger and more capable he wouldn’t have had to watch as everyone aboveground perished, that he might have been able to help. She had felt helpless as they had watched the monitors in the security room, and she was about as combat ready as a puppy. The memory of her contract seal being applied went through her mind and she would pause long enough to retch again at the thought, quickly hurrying to catch up. All that pain had been for virtually nothing in the end. Less than an hour later she had felt the seal leave her bones and she couldn’t help but to wonder how differently her life would have gone had she decided to take more time getting ready that morning. Pondering how the series of events could have gone if she had simply dawdled her blood ran cold. If she had been late, if she hadn’t been in the underground bunker then Tamwyn wouldn’t have been ordered to stay with her and he likely would have died along with his employer. She cared for Tamwyn more than she could describe and the thought of him not being there with her made her physically ill. He was the only person that had ever earned her trust, that she had ever let hold her and care for her. She couldn’t fathom a world without him in it, and as they drew ever closer to Kumogakure she knew in her heart that she would do anything to stay at his side.
