    Post by Yen-Lì Wed Sep 09, 2020 11:30 pm

    Name: Yenn Inazuma
    Age: 19
    Gender: Female
    Village: Kumogakure
    Rank: Genin
    Title:

    Clan: Inazuma
    Bloodline: KKG - Storm Release
Element(s): Raiton, Suiton, Ranton (Paid 1000 exp for Energy Beam Creation and Storm Cloud Creation)
Skill(s): Ninjutsu, (Trading one Skill Point for 1 Stat Raise and 500 exp)

    Stats

    • Strength: D (1 stat raise, 150 exp)
    • Constitution: D (1 stat raise, 150 exp)
    • Stamina: C (2 stat raises, 450 exp)
    • Speed: D (1 stat raise, 150 exp)
    • Coordination: C (2 stat raises, 450 exp)
    • Intelligence: C (2 stat raises, 450 exp)
    • Perception: D (1 stat raise, 150 exp)

    Unique Abilities:

Raiton Aegis: Yenn has subconsciously developed a natural protective barrier as a defense against physical contact due to years of abuse. Whenever someone tries to touch her without her knowledge or consent small arcs of Raiton will shock the person causing minor discomfort that with continued contact will lead to minor burns. This occurs without Yenn needing to be aware of it, meaning that it could just as easily occur with an ally as it could with an enemy. If she is aware of the intended contact she may choose to suppress the effect.

Storm’s Unveiling: Repressing her emotions throughout her life has led to Yenn’s subconscious placing them on display when they are too powerful to bear. When she is sad rain will begin to fall around her, anger will cause flashes of lightning, and fear or doubt will cause dark clouds to form overhead. She may attempt to suppress these effects if she is aware that her emotions are the cause, though she will remain largely unsuccessful as they are external expressions of her deep seated inner turmoil.

Fury’s Gaze: When experiencing intense emotions Yenn’s violet eyes spark and glow with lightning energy, the colour of which is dependent on her mood at the time. The effect is aesthetic though she may choose to spend 5 cp to enhance the effective power of any Raiton techniques she uses while in this state by one rank. As an unfortunate drawback channeling her energy this way results in her being more vulnerable to incoming damage as she is focused purely on the offensive. Her constitution is effectively temporarily reduced by one tier for the purposes of incoming attacks. Once activated Fury’s Gaze remains in effect for the duration of the thread.

Weather Immunity: Due to her deep connection to storms Yenn is unaffected by the weather. This includes rain, wind, temperature, electricity, fog, etc. Her senses, movement or any actions are not affected by weather in any way. This applies to all natural weather effects and weather effects that are created through the use of chakra. Though this does not grant her immunity to specific elements or targeted attacks, only the passive effects of weather.

One-Handed Seals: Yenn may weave hand seals with only one hand. This results in a one tier loss of Coordination for that hand regarding hand seals.

Tragic Backstory: Yenn has experienced more than most for her age and as such begins with 800 extra experience that must be paid back before applying earned experience elsewhere.

    Appearance:
    Yenn:

Yenn is a small woman, standing at only five feet even. Her petite frame is accentuated by a small waist and offset by her generously curved hips and bust. She has dark voluminous hair whose waves seem to keep their shape regardless of any weather or physical effort. She has intensely violet coloured eyes that add to her mysterious and stern visage. Her skin is pale and appears smooth, though on closer inspection reveals a multitude of thin jagged scars across her back, arms and legs. Yenn is reasonably fit and healthy looking, though with no defined muscle she could easily pass for your average civilian.

Her clothing is always a combination of black and white, leaning more heavily towards black. She dresses elaborately, and some may say inappropriately, for her position as Genin. Always a mixture of textures and fabrics, she typically wears thigh high leather boots with intricate buckles and straps and pairs these with either tight fitting leather pants and corset tops or flowing lace, fur and feather dresses. Around her long and slender neck she is always seen to have a pendant; a starburst made of obsidian and silver set with a multitude of tiny diamonds. The pendant hangs from a simple strip of leather and guards it at all times, not allowing anyone to touch the piece of jewelry.

    History:
It was a dark and stormy night when Yenn was born to Quan and Tien of the Inazuma Clan. Yenn was a small child, her parents feared that she was too small even to live as she was born far too early. It was not uncommon in the history of the world for babies to be born prematurely, but within the confines of the budding family it was the first of Yenn’s crimes. To her credit, Yenn’s mother Tien held out hope and even cared for the child for the first few weeks, but the child’s father Quan did not. He raged at both females, cursing both Tien for her failure to produce a suitable heir and the babe for being born at all. The first few weeks of the child’s life were spent nameless and with much screaming and tears. Her first memories were just the sound of her father’s furious shouting and her mother’s terrified begging.

Once her mother was reasonably certain that the child would not die either due to her poor health or Quan’s rage, she named her Yenn. She hoped that the child would grow to live a peaceful life despite its violent beginnings. As Yenn grew she did all the things any child in Kumogakure would, she did chores, went to the Academy, and tried to make friends. What was significantly different about her upbringing was the amount of violence that was in it. Nothing she ever did was enough to prove to her parents that she held value. She was constantly berated for being too slow, too lazy, too weak. She was beaten mercilessly for her supposed failings and threatened with more beatings if she complained or brought shame on their family. Her mother’s abuse turned out to be far more insidious in the end, her resentment at the way she was treated by her husband raining down on her innocent child.

Over time Yenn learned to repress her feelings, to harden her heart and dedicate herself to becoming stronger. To become worthy. Only once did anyone approach her parents with concerns for Yenn’s wellbeing, and hope of being saved from her suffering died that day. She had never before seen such venom and malice in her parent’s eyes, never before had the gift of her bloodline turned against her like that. The torture she suffered that day scarred her literally and figuratively and she became adept at hiding her many injuries and at quickly formulating convincing lies for the ones she couldn’t. She tried to escape many times, to run from a family that seemed more intent on killing her than caring for her. Each attempt was short lived and ended with brutal violence and her being locked away, chained like a disobedient animal for days on end with no food or water or light, only being released when she begged for forgiveness.

At the age of sixteen she finally escaped, or perhaps Quan and Tien had simply grown tired of having to keep her. She ran into the mountains and hid in a cave where she lived for the next two years, spending every waking moment preparing herself for the worst. She trained as though her life depended on it, for as far as she knew it did, only coming out of the mountains once she was old enough to live on her own within the village walls without fear of being forced to return to her parent’s home. She took any work that was offered to her, desperate to be free of the torment of her past, pushing it into the back of her mind as though the first eighteen years of her life were merely a bad dream.

    Personality:
Yenn has had a life of abject misery, though you wouldn’t know just to look at her. Her demeanour is for the most part stoic bordering on cold. She is patient and rational, turning to cautious observation first rather than hotheaded action. Owing to her past she keeps people at arms length, literally and figuratively. She trusts no one with her heart or her body, and actively avoids talking about why. When she does display emotions other than disdain it is almost always anger, and is usually directed at someone she deems worthy of violence. Other emotions are only shown in private or on the rare occasion when she may have consumed a fair amount of alcohol. She does have a soft spot for children in distress, and will stop at nothing to assist them. There is no law that exists that she would not break to try to save her past self from a fate like hers.
