With a sigh Ryuko stuck some ebony and titanium into her crucible melting it into her signature metal adamantite. In her rush to have her set of armor ready for her coronation so that she could make a show of it she’d gone and neglected to make a proper helm. Well who could blame her really, hiding her face would have been a terrible idea for a ceremony where she was presenting herself to an entire country.

Taking her hammer she gave it a light spin as she used tongs to pick out the adamantite from the furnace and then gave it a nice hard wack on her anvil to start shaping it to her will. She already had the general shape she wanted it to take in mind, the rest was she a matter of pounding it into existence.

The trickiest part wasn’t the metal at all but the polymer x that she was going to use to make a transparent visor so that she’d be able to see out of the helm without leaving a slit open that would expose her eyes to a lucky arrow shaft or sword thrust. The mouth guard area would still have smaller holes however instead of being hementally sealed so that she could use her poison gas jutsu without having to take the helmet off.

She was a little worried what she was going to do when her supply of polymer x ran out. It was a custom material given to her by Sakata and with him out of the picture she wasn’t sure when or where she’d be able to procure more. He’d given her five units, one of which she’d already used making Shimiko’s battle armor. After this project was done she’d be down to three. The scarcer a resource the more wisely you wanted to see it used.

Crafting Arch Angel Helm Completion time July 7

The helm which was the final piece of her arch angel armor set was now complete. With it’s polished white steel it was truly resplendent as it seemed to sparkle slightly in the sunlight. That done she had one last craft to make for now. Her piece de resistance as it where for the upcoming fight with her god Hakkin. It wasn’t something she intended to be wearing all the time which meant she didn’t need to put as much time into making it.

On it’s own it wasn’t that impressive despite being made from semi rare material that wasn’t easy for the common person to get a hold of. It was basically just mid grade protective equipment that you’d find many electrician’s wearing. It was only once it was combined with one of her bolt rings that it would show it’s true effectiveness. If only she could pull this trick with every element but alas such things weren’t so simple.

There was a limit to how much any one person could wear and still be able to move around effectively. That and the fact that it required enchantment to work properly made things extra difficult since it was hard to have more than one or two of those types of spells in place without them clashing with each other. Simply put if it was easy to become immune to even just the basic 5 elements more people would have done it already.

Taking the raw Cloudstalker Eel Hide she had bought from the secret marketplace Ryuko began to go to work sewing it into a tight fitting Cat-suit that she could layer over her existing bodysuit. Wearing them both together wasn’t the greatest for ventilation but she could put up with the slight discomfort that would cause at least one battle.

After finishing her Cat-suit Ryuko made a quick trip to the marketplace and back to pick up some new materials. She was done work on her own armor for now so it was time to start working on some stuff for other people for a change starting with gear for her student Mort.

He’d requested some samurai like equipment and given her a general idea for a couple items he’d like. It wasn’t quite a full set or anything but she had to start somewhere. In this case that meant getting the proper material ready since she needed to weave more batches of her patented Adamantite-Woven Silk.

She sighed. Why had he had to ask for soft armor instead of something harder? Sure it would be more flexible but getting it ready took a heck of a lot of extra work. Weaving a bunch of it was a pain in the ass but she said she was going to make this stuff and she was a women of her word so she had no choice but to get on with it. Whipping out her sowing wheel she set to work spinning a bunch of new threads together

[Crafting a batch of Adamantite-woven Silk Completion time July 19]

All of a sudden Ryuko bolted from her seat knocking the chair over onto the floor. It seemed at some point in the repetitive weaving of threads she’d fallen asleep from working too much. Checking the table she saw that she’d completed the project which came as little relief as she saw that the lapse in time had put her behind schedule.

Putting her work for her student aside for the moment she took out the two sets of armor Shimiko had lent her as well as the note with instructions in how her sworn sister wanted them integrated together. Don’t this job wasn’t going to be easy. She was going to have to take apart two very high end sets and then stitch them together so that the end result would have functioning features from both of them. Tricky but doable. Taking out a set of pliers and a screwdriver Ryuko got to work dismantling the snow armor and then fusing it together with the red colored armor she had made so many years ago which would be soon reborn as a higher quality version of itself.

Wiping a bead of sweat of her forehead Ryuko grinned as she glanced over her completed work.   Taking apart the armor and stitching it back together again with new features and at a high quality level hadn’t been easy but it’d been worth doing as now her best friend would have one of the best sets of armor in the entire world.  It one one that could rival even the set Ryuko had built for herself to wear as the Raikage which was fitting when she considered she’d called the pair she formed when working with Shimiko  Kumogakure’s Sword and shield.

Picking up the scarlet red armor the priestess neatly folded it over her arm then got up to leave the room.  She’d been stuck in her crafting for who knows how many hours now working on one project after the next and it was high time she took a break and got some proper rest before she started on her next project.
