    The Hozuki Clan's Clam Contract Empty The Hozuki Clan's Clam Contract

    Specimen: Bivalvia (Clams, Oysters, Scallops, Mussles, etc.)
    Culture/Lore: The contract between the Hozuki Clan and the Clams of the Bikil Pit can be traced back to Yukata, the Hozuki Clan’s legendary hero. The contract was originally a personal one made early one during his reign as head of the Hozuki Clan, but due to their extreme usefulness in combat at sea the contract was soon expanded to be with the general Hozuki Clan rather than just their head. Rumors of mirages and deceiving mists supporting the Hozuki Clan in their naval dominance are a direct result of this contract, with these clams often playing a supportive role using wide-range Genjutsu during naval conflict. As a result of the manner in which this contract was written no individual Hozuki has to sign it, but rather they may access it simply through having Hozuki blood.

    Summoning Method: Given that the Hozuki Clan lack the ability to easily access their own blood, these clams can be summoned through the user striking their body across any surface (including the user’s body). This will produce a blast of smoke before instantly summoning the requested creature to their location. Striking a liquid surface allows the creatures to be summoned directly into the body of water that was struck.
    Requirements: Hozuki Clan
    Drawbacks: All summons have minus one tier to their Constitution for attacks that don’t hit their shell, and instead hit their soft and fleshy interior. In reverse, they are treated as though they have Constitution of one tier higher for attacks that do hit their shells.

Despite being a spiny oyster, she is not actually an oyster, and is rather just a large, spiked clam. She has a large number of spines coming out of each side of her shell, with a few of the longer ones being a meter in length, and the rest generally being half that length. Her tongue, which is a deep blue color, can stretch out to protrude up to 2 meters from her shell.

    The Clam Taijutsu I made I just realized was illegal, as it gave 1++ Tiers to Con, while Con is a secondary focus for Taijutsu. I've lessened the bonus to 1 tier and the jutsu to C-Rank, and made it a style so it would be approve-able and correct.

    The Water Walking Technique, which was previously a jutsu that Seiketsu had, was removed and made into a thing that everyone can do passively. As a result I'd like to replace this jutsu slot on Seiketsu with the following

Despite this appearance Sakamush is intelligent, and able to speak just as a human would. It's most used position is placed around the ear or in the hair of a member of the Hozuki Clan, where it relates its sensory information through subtle whispers.

    Thousands of clams are bred for these purposes by the Hozuki Clan, all generally referred to by the same name. As a result, multiple Sakamushi's may be summoned at the same time without issue.

    - I can't find a Seiketsu. Do you mean Sekitsui?
    - You don't need both active and upkeep cost. It's just one or the other depending on what the tech does.
    - Also note that physical styles no longer write the upkeep at one rank lower, as per recent announce.

    I'd like to add the following text to the Sekitsui Clam:

    "Sekitsui is blind, deaf, and mute. Thus to be able to communicate with it special methods must be used, such as the Clam Head Technique."

    Just to clarify that all clams by default are blind, deaf, and mute as a result of being clams, unless stated otherwise. Similarly, I'd like to add the following text to the Sakamushi clam:

    "Sakamushi, unlike its brethren, is capable of hearing and speech in a similar way to a human, although it is still blind like other clams are."

    I'm not sure what the Clam Head Technique does but are you sure you want that? Being deaf, blind and mute also means your clam has no idea where to aim their techniques, nor would be capable of knowing when to defend themselves. It's like having (less than) E-rank perception. I don't think you need to go that far just because natural clams only work through touch.

    All Clams have the Sensory Technique as a perk of having Sensory as their contract skill, and this sensing technique would be their main way of perceiving the world rather than physical senses, so it's more of a stylistic choice.

    The Clam Head technique is just an E-Rank technique that allows communication with clams through physical contact

    I don't think that's the purpose of the Sensory Technique; rather a chakra sensory or detection of presence. I doubt it's allowed to register finer cues such as hand seal formation, a punch being thrown or shuriken being thrown, subtle body language or even tenketsu perception as the likes of Byakugan. But as the Sensory Tech actually doesn't specify what kind of sensory it offers, I believe it'd be better to ask Nyg.

    And get Sensory Tech clarified more.
