Rise of the Uchiha

With Kazuya's disappearance, there are only a select few shinobi worthy to take the mantle of Hokage. However, prime candidate Satomi is the problem. He is an Uchiha. And they have ruled for far too long. They need to be dealt with.

The letter was short and sweet. The Anbu Kunoichi stood at the office of the Anbe Captain Satomi Uchiha. The letter was disturbing, as it freely stated the demise of him and his clan. Even more disturbing was whom the letter was written by and to whom it was sent too. Satomi nodded, giving the signal for the shinobi to be dismissed. As he disappeared, Satomi turned around and sat down to contemplate.

There were three councilmen, plotting secretly to keep the Hokage position away from the Uchiha's and to terminate them. They were jealous of the power Kazuya wielded over Konoha and the Uchiha's as well. They started to get bold by ordering his assassination.

Running an undercover operation under the nose of the Anbu was nigh impossible. The letter was intercepted when it was supposed to go to an individual known to the Underworld. They were possibly looking for a powerful ninja who could be S class to exterminate the Uchiha. They were going to blame some tragedy on the entire clan. Shaming them into obscurity. Satomi was infuriated by this news. There was no Jounin Commander to turn to.

There was no Hokage to report to, the head of the council was Yami who was a stand-in for the Hokage. He might've been behind this as well, but they only knew of three so far. Those three had secretly met, but not without being noticed of their strange meeting times. Then when one of them sent a letter by raven to a shady middle-man criminal. They had intercepted the letter and now Satomi would have to act. This was treason in its highest form, and they seemed ready to attack soon. He had something planned for them. In the dark he always had a hand.

"Summon Icho's squad. I have an important mission for them." Satomi ordered his shadow guard.

Icho was the leader of a group of powerful Uchiha's. They were his personal guard as the Uchiha leader and Anbu Captain. It did not take long for his shadow guard to report to Icho. As he arrived in only a few minutes. "Getting faster Icho good. I'm gonna need that speed."

"What is thy bidding?" Icho said arriving in the office of Satomi. The Captain explained the situation he was aware of. Then he explained that he needed him to do a job. Kill the three councilmen.

"If they had just wanted to frame us. I would have only arrested them. But this was to far. They would have committed genocide to kill us. They must be punished with death. It is time for me take control to protect the Uchihas and the village."

*The next day*

Satomi waited in his office at the crack of dawn. The operation he was apart of but not directly was a success. Icho and his three Uchiha shinobi went to the houses of each member and captured them in their sleep. Icho was there and him along with his squad would be escorting Satomi to the Government building. The three councilmen would be his proof for what he was about to do next. The group made its way with a show of force and they all made their way there. Satomi was wearing his Jounin uniform. Since there was no need to hide his identity anymore, he would roam free for his people to see him.

Upon reaching his agreement with the Uchiha elders. It was time for Satomi to finally to takeover. He was outside the Government building, contemplating before he went in. Today was the day he seized opportunity when it arrived. Walking in he was without his Anbu outift, and an eagle face mask. But was instantly recognized and there wasn't a word spoken to him as he continued on to through the building.

His clearance was pretty high so there weren't many places he wasn't allowed to go. Save for the Hokage chambers. Which was something he aimed to correct...

Satomi approached the Council chambers. It was closed, but he knew they would be expecting him. He opened the door. There was the remaining members there seated and alarmed. Satomi had asked for the meeting before he had arrived. They had a lot of questions but Satomi wasn't hearing any of it, save for if they were apart of the Uchiha genocide attempt.

"I have captured three of your peers. Their attempt on my life and those of my clan will not go unpunished. Our clan has not received the protection it was promised these last few years. I as the new Hokage, shall protect my all clans and all citizens within this village. I will hold no ill will towards the rest of you for not noticing this treason, but I will usher us into a new age. Where the people of the village will not plot on one another. But cherish the empire I shall bring. We will hold a formal meeting after my coronation later. There you can tell me your piece. For now. The execution of the councilmen shall be after once their crimes have been brought to light."

The councilmen were astonished to hear all of this. But they said nothing, it was hard to disobey Satomi. Especially with his contingent of Uchiha ninja standing behind him. "Any questions?" A rhetorical question, one he dared them to answer. They did not fortunately. "Good. I'll be getting ready for the coronation. I'll see everyone there."

[Exit]

As Satomi went rambling on in his tirade against the council. They were to be interrupted. By none other than Kanna. She entered wearing Anbu uniform and her mask. She took it off it off to reveal a face he had not cared to remember. All he needed to know of her was her abilities and what she brought to the table. Which turned out to be a lot. Not yet a rising in the world but was powerful in her own right to the village. She strutted forward and started to spout her piece about him not making it to a coronation. There was a abnormal pressure building from her as she drew closer.

It showed how her true power. Or whatever measure she saw it as. Satomi was not impressed. She even stated losing his legs. Someone lower than him, a subordinate, was speaking against him. "You want me to stand down?" Satomi replied with gritted teeth. Annoyed at her demeanor and pose. The Uchiha guards looked to him, but he held a hand up. Whatever beef she had, it would have to be solely with him.

"Didn't see this grit and guts from you over the last two years without a Hokage. Didn't see you backing me for the position or anyone else for that matter. But you're fine with the ones in power plotting to kill me and my clan just because I am their leader." He felt himself more annoyed than angry. Of course one should protect their village. But Kanna knew nothing.

"Even with me arresting the three that were up to it, they are still alive for me to prove their crime. Yet here you are. You did nothing these past two years while these 'three snakes' kept control of the village without a Hokage! How do you answer for those three? I respected this council, till I found out that they didn't even know that three of their own were plotting something so heinous." Satomi walked past Kanna after giving her an earful. He would not kill one of his own today. If she fought him he would have no other choice but to defend himself. However...

He turned too look her in her face. "You keep doing your job Kanna. Stay to the shadows. Let crimes happen instead of preventing them. And keep your mouth closed."

Satomi would mention for his high rank shinobi to move out with a motion of his hand. Walking past her out the exit. "Fine. I will stand down for now. However this isn't the last of this." Then he proceeded to leave the building along with his entourage.

(Exiting again, unless there's smoke)

For some reason Kanna was still speaking. But it seemed in all fairness that she just didn't care who was listening anyways. She continued forward towards him now putting Satomi on edge. As he tried to make his way past her. The womans hand shot forward using the butt of her mask to attack him at his chest. This little shit actually tried it. She had tried it when he was only inches away from her as he totally saw her do it. He quickly stepped away from the attack and reached out with his right hand to smack her hand down. With her burst of motion of her lounge she would stumble forward but he was sure she would quickly regain her balance. He skipped backwards so that he was in front of the Uchiha guards and giving a two meters of space away from Kanna.

"Attacking me with innocents in the room Kanna. Now that's stupid. By all means if you wish to fight me. Why don't you do it without all these people, literally right next to us. I don't care if you believe me or not." He said pointing to the rest of the council sitting there shocked at everything happening so fast.

"Consider this your resignation from the Anbu. Only garbage you'll be taking out is the trash at home. So be smart for once today, and you stand down. Before you endanger everyone." Satomi said feeling the familiar chakra thread aching him to be released from his eyes, just in case Kanna wanna get froggy and leap again.

The Government Building was a hive for the most powerful Shinobi in the village. The amount of important personnel it held begged for a constant presence of Jounin and ANBU alike. Masuyo was one of the top Jounin in the village. Despite being a foreigner her actions proved her reputation as a hard working, loyal Jounin. The disappearance of three council members put the Shinobi on high alert. It was no surprise Masuyo was present in the building on guard duty. When the skirmish began the floor above her she rushed to the upper level with two of her associates. They were quick, yet moved silently as one would expect from a professional Shinobi. Her footwear consisted of standard black sandals fitted for comfort and security. With the toes and heel left exposed they provided additional balance, while the rest of the foot up to the ankle was protected by the thick nylon material of the sandal. The soles of the sandals are reinforced with hardened material to resist heavy impacts and weathering. She wore a pair of loose fitting black pants with the bottoms near her ankles taped securely in white bandage wrap. This provided balance and reinforcement to her ankles while closing off the ends of her pants. In addition, more bandage wrap was wrapped around her right thigh which allowed a navy blue holster to be strapped over comfortably. Around her waist she wears the basic utility belt which carries two green holsters on her right side along with a tool pouch around her back side and a canteen to the far left.

A black mesh shirt is worn under a common long sleeve black top having a red seal of fire placed on the outsides of each sleeve towards the upper arm. Over that was a fitted green flak jacket provided by Konoha's armory. The jacket was zipped up and secure firmly on her body. Worn on both arms were a pair of custom crafted arm guards gifted to Masuyo. The banded steel design covered the backs of her hands to her elbows leaving a soft spot of leather to allow wrist movement. Around her neck Masuyo wears her forehead protector as a collar. The black cloth is tied in a knot around the back side of her neck with the steel plate facing the front for identification. The steel plate has Konoha's emblem engraved on the front. Masuyo has straight black hair which extends down to her mid back. Two strands of hair drop down touching her chest which leads into her bangs, those being cut shorter and swept to the side. She stands at 5'9 weighing approximately 145 lbs. Her fair skin is complimented with her voluptuous form which is completed with a pair of hazel eyes.

Masuyo opened the double doors with a straight kick taking stance with her Yari in hand, the polearm standing upright with the butt of it on the ground. Besides her are two Chuunin, both with the look of distraught on their faces while Masuyo was more or less calm. Her eyes were sharp examining the situation and trying to make sense of it the best she could. "Halt!" She hollered in a demanding voice in attempts to get both parties to cease combat. In any case attacking each other in the government building was an awful idea. She could not imagine what would bring these two to fight in the presence of the council, nonetheless. One of them were in the wrong, and she had to find out who before attacking anybody. In her announcement failed, Masuyo would be forced to perform much more drastic measures.

The Stuff:

There was a new player to arrive. Apparently Masuyo had shown up as well. Now there was going to be some order to this madness. Kanna had abandoned all practice and was going off on her own. Not even caring for the safety of the village councilman in the room with them. She still proceeded to attack him with reckless abandonment. Satomi could hear behind the Icho and the Uchiha's, "Halt!" But it was far to late to stop the attack, the butt of Kanna's sword exited out with such speed it was unseen to Satomi. It impacted his chest and he felt the thrust send him reeling backwards. Stronger than she looks. He thought as he skidded backwards.

With a hand clutching his chest after receiving a sharp blow to it, he could see Masuyo assessing the situation now that Kanna was seen as the aggressor. "Kanna is letting her feelings cloud her judgement. She wants to stop me from becoming Hokage. But is doing so recklessly. Councilman, please do leave while we have...a meeting."

The rest of councilman were angry before but now they were just scared things were about to get crazy inside the chambers. They wasted no time in getting out of the council chambers. Filing past the raging Kanna and the rest of people there till the left. With council gone they only people left were the guards Masuyo and Kanna and himself.

"Now." Sharingan activated the swirl of the three tomoe peered deeply at Kanna. He was sure she was not going to stop, she was chosen to be Anbu but with arrival of Masuyo things had changed. Satomi had battled Masuyo years prior which was a heated battle that stopped in draw. If she joined with Kanna, Satomi would be in an even tighter situation. However he was not going let Kanna ignore the people in the building while they were still here.

"The council is gone now Kanna. Do as you please?" Now that the council was gone, if Satomi needed to maneuver they would not be in danger. Now to see how this mexican standoff would conclude.

He focused his attention on Kanna, she was incredibly fast. Something
