Crafting Begins [Solo]

Yumi hummed a soft tune as he sat on a chair within his small shop. The medic had not long bought the block of land and had the ship customised for his purposes. Yumi had hired a caretaker, a woman called Shizuru and given her a maid outfit to wear as her uniform. The woman was a skilled chemist and engineer able to make C rank items for him, giving Yumi time to focus on the development of other items. Currently, Yumi had Shizuru working away on the forge to make some Glass Flask's for him using the large amount of glass and plastic he had bought. While Shizuru was working on the flask's Yumi was working on the chemical to go inside of it.

The first chemical was a new type of explosive Yumi had been working with called a Fire Bomb. The Fire Bomb was a volatile chemical mixture of Yumi's own creation that was stored inside a container and when the mixture was mixed together and exposed to oxygen it would detonate releasing a wide spread of bright red flames over an area, burning anyone who came in contact with it. Yumi was lacking in truly powerful techniques, specialising in mainly Ijutsu, Genjutsu and Fuuinjutsu. To make up for this Yumi was developing a wide number of techniques.

The chemical bubbled as Yumi used the chemistry station he had bought, slowly mixing the chemicals together in an air tight seal. Shizuru approached with twenty freshly made Glass Flasks each with a plastic stopper. Yumi took six of the flasks and began to slowly pour the mixture into each, making sure to seal off any air from getting in. Once finished six flasks sat in front of him with a red liquid inside.

Yumi took out set of sealing materials, including a pen that allows for seals to be drawn on flesh. Yumi already had one on his right wrist and planned to add more. Taking the pen, Yumi started drawing on the back of his left wrist the seal, before drawing another below the first, doing the same to his right wrist, putting one seal on the wrist and one on the forearm close to it. With four seals in tact, Yumi started sealing the flasks, adding the six into the top right wrist seal.

Shizuru retreated back to the forge to containing making the glass glass, Yumi wanted at least sixty made. Yumi planned to leave thirty in storage as he would be using thirty up for his own purposes. The Chemist was making five types of compounds that would be stored in the flasks, using thirty flasks in total. Three of them were volatile explosives and two were supplementary. Shizuru could make two them as they were in her skill range. Going back to work the Medic hummed a tune as he mixed chemicals together, filtering through the chemistry station as a bunsen burned.

As the chemicals mixed together to create the new mixture, Yumi pulled out a piece of sealing paper. Grabbing a brush and ink, Yumi began drawing up a new seal, another storage one, this one would go under his tongue and store away another set of poisons. Carefully and masterfully drawing up the seal, Yumi injected chakra to set it before placing the seal paper under his tongue. Chakra flooded to the seal and burned the formula onto flesh. As the process was finished, Yumi discarded the now unusable piece of sealing paper.

Yumi was far from down as he took the sealing pen and began to engrave more seals onto his flesh, onto the palm of his right and left hand to add two more seals. In total adding three more to his body. With the seals complete, Yumi inspected the new chemical as it finished being synthesised, just as Shizuru finished twenty more glass flasks.

Yumi began pouring the new liquid into six more flasks. inside the flask was two liquids a blue one sitting on top of a yellow one, avoiding each other like oil and water. The two were harmless, but once mixed turned into a volatile chemical which created a powerful explosion. Yumi sealed the bombs up into his top left wrist seal, leaving four unused on his arms and one under his tongue.

Yumi was happy with the current progress, Shizuru had made two thirds of the flask requirements he wanted with twenty left to make. Once Yumi finished the next B rank explosive, Shizuru could concentrate her efforts onto make some C rank items for him. The Medic continued to hum his little melody, allowing him to keep his mind active as he worked. Luckily it was a peaceful day as no one had entered the shop, allowing Yumi to be productive and get his work done relatively quickly and in silence.

The next compound Yumi was making was another explosive. The explosive was similar to the bomb explosive, but didn't need force only oxygen to activate. The explosive was a Delayed Bomb and wouldn't detonate immediately which would hopefully catch others by surprise. The Medic synthesised the chemicals together using the chemistry station. The station was a god send for the medic as it allowed him to be more productive, doubling the amounts he could make using it, same with the range. It was a good investment in his eyes.

Whistling now instead of Yumi, the Medic decided to practice a new technique as he waited. Multi-tasking as they would say. The Medic had an idea recently to modify the soft body modification technique he had designed. At the moment the technique was relatively work only able to deflect D rank techniques and lower, useless at Yumi's current level, but due to their current rank up and intelligence he could practice an even higher level C and B rank techniques freely. Yumi planned to invest time to modify the modification technique to boost his defensive capabilities.

Taking a deep breath, Yumi channelled chakra through his body, activating the cells in his body to such a state they became malleable. The soft body manipulation was a technique that allowed for him to extend his limbs, but the soft body modification gave his body a rubber-like quality thanks to the manipulation of the cells, allowing his body to absorb direct impacts and spread the damage out equally over his body to nullify it. Of course it would only work against blunt force trauma but it would be a life saving technique for the medic.

As it was activated, Yumi would punch at his own body and watch as flesh rippled like rubber, spreading the damage from the blow over his body making it seem non-existent. Yumi gave a pleased smile at the result and returned to his chemicals. The medic filled six more flasks with the volatile substance, making sure no air could enter. The flask held a clear like liquid. The Medic then sealed it up into the bottom right wrist seal, he was slowly using up all his seals to store the compounds, but that was okay. In that time Shizuru had also completed the last of the sixty flasks he wanted. Thirty were placed into the storage room by the woman dressed as an adorable maid.

The medic sat down on the ground and focused, concentrating chakra to his nerves to test out another medical technique he had thought of. The idea was to instantly force his body back into a attack stance by stimulating the muscles and nervous system. A jolt flowed through Yumi's body as it sat up automatically taxing a fighting stance. The Medic grinned as his body jolted into the stance. The medic felt his muscles strain in protest on the brink of tearing if he was to try that again.

The problem was Yumi didn't have a very sturdy body, but could easily make up for this with his various medical techniques especially with the regeneration techniques he had invented. Yumi also had a number of medicines he could consume to assist in the repair of his muscles and nervous system should they tear.

Shizuru would head to the chemistry station to take part in the development of two different compounds, taking twelve glass flasks with her. The two compounds Shizuru would be making were the Acid Bomb and Liquid Fire. The two compounds were C rank items with different effects. The liquid fire was a flammable liquid sealed in an air tight container appearing to be a murky liquid that reflected a rainbow. The mixture was harmless, unless it was exposed to oxygen. Once exposed a chemical reaction would occur and the liquid would burst into bright red flames. The liquid could be coated onto surfaces or weapons, or thrown out into the path of an enemy.

The Acid Bomb was just as nasty, it was an acid with a deep green colour that had a green gas wasting on its surface. When poured out the acid would chew away and melt anything it touched with a C rank hardness or lower. It could also be thrown like a grenade. While Shizuru cooked up those compounds, Yumi would be cooking up a rather nasty poison.

The medic began to synthesis something called Ambrosia Version 3. An A rank poison, normally Yumi couldn't make A rank poisons but he had a special skill that allowed him to craft above what he normally could. The Ambrosia had three versions a B and C made up version two and one but were relatively weaker. The poison was quite nasty and had to be ingested, Yumi planned to store it in his cheeks for when he seduced an enemy and kissed them, regardless of sex. Once consumed it would make one feel as if they were in love and enter a lustful state, in truth the poison was sinister and attack the lungs making them asphyxiate until they pass out then die from the lack of oxygen.

As the poison cooked, Yumi focused on his training again, taking a seat and prepared a few sealing supplies. The seal Yumi was working on was something called Shrapnel to detonate on an item and blow it to pieces sending shrapnel flying out. Yumi drew the kanji onto paper using the kanji 'Shrapnel', 'Detonate' and 'Explode' at its centre in a triangle formation. Around these three kanji are four more 'Pierce', 'Shred', 'Sharpen' and 'Break'. These four are placed around the first three like a square, trapping them in. With a nod, Yumi pushed it aside and began working on another seal design.

The next seal was to make up for Yumi's lack of defence, a defensive seal. Brush glided across the paper as Yumi drew the five key kanji of 'reinforce', 'strengthen', 'durable', 'armour' and 'harden'. The seal was placed on an item or person to reinforce their durability. Once activated a green hue of chakra will encase the person or item creating a protective shield that power is equal to this seal. The seal can then be used to block attacks.

With that seal produced, Yumi moved onto the next, once designed to boost agility. The seal could drastically raise his speed, but would put heavy strain on the body. With a fresh piece of sealing paper, Yumi began to draw it up. The seal incorporates the five key for kanji 'Swift', 'Stride', 'Dash', 'Speed' and 'Agility' into its design, operating around these five words. The seal is placed onto the body or onto an item. When activated a light red aura will surround the item or wielder. When activated the speed of the wielder will suddenly accelerate to B rank (45m/s). The higher ones constitution the more they could use the seal without drawbacks.

Focusing back on the poison mix, Yumi began to mix it into a pill shape. A small pink pill no bigger than a grain of rice was made, six in total. The medic then sealed all six pills into the storage seal under his tongue. At the same time Chizuru stepped out with twelve flasks full of two different liquids. Yumi stored the liquid fire into the bottom left wrist seal and stored three acid bombs into each palm seal.

Yumi was slowly using up a lot of chakra to store everything up and create his seals but it didn't bother him. The medic was in possession of chakra restoring items and had three techniques that could be used to recover his chakra if needed, so he wasn't to worried.

Yumi was almost finished for the day, he had two more poisons in mind to make the new Toxin V and Deathroot Extract. Deathroot was rather simple as it was a green see-through liquid that was extracted from the leaves of the Deathroot Plant native to Mizu no Kuni. In small doses it was relatively harmless but once concentrated into a large enough dose it becomes highly poisonous. The liquid is usually coated over a weapon allowing it to come into direct contact with the flesh, but it can also be ingested if mixed into food or drink. The poison once it enters the body, will begin to spread, travelling through the blood circulatory system, until it comes in contact with the nervous system. Once in effect at first the target will feel a slight numbing sensation around the area it first came in contact with. Soon the numbing sensation spreads throughout the body, before the body locks up into temporary paralysis.

The other, the Toxin V was something of Yumi's own design. The poison remains in pill for at firm as a solid. The solid won't turn into a gas until a minimal amount of chakra channelled into it. Chakra works to break down the chemicals that make it a solid in order to cause the pill to dissolve into a gas that covers a 5x5x5 meter area. The gas is then inhaled in order to cause temporary asphyxiation which will lead to unconsciousness. It does this by filling the lungs and preventing oxygen from getting in and travelling to the rest of the body. The Toxin was an A rank poison and the extract was B rank.

Yumi would focus on the Deathroot extract first. Taking the leaves of the plant, Yumi placed them into the chemistry set and began to extract the liquid. The process would take some time, so Yumi began to focus on his Ijutsu techniques, to master a new healing Jutsu, the Regeneration Level Three as he already had two and one. The idea was simple as Yumi channelled chakra into the tips of his fingers and jabbed directly to where the Kaimon, the Gate of Opening and First Gate was located. The jab  released chakra but didn't penetrate the gate to open it, instead the chakra is used to stimulate nearby pressure points and nerves located around the Kaimon. This stimulation sends signals to the brain and throughout the body causing the body to go into a constant state of low-level regeneration. In this state, the body will recover from injuries every turn without the user needing to spend focus on the task allowing them to concentrate on more important matters.

Yumi felt his body recovering from the strain of the instant reflex and he grinned in victory.  With the Ijutsu finished. Yumi went back to focus on his fuuinjutsu techniques. Working on his own personal explosion seal. The medic had the idea to devise his own explosion seal that could be altered depending on how powerful he wanted it to be. At the moment Yumi could only make it with three settings, D, C and B. The sealing amateur went to work grabbing a cheap piece of sealing paper and ink. Yumi wasn't going to use the good stuff for practice as it was just a waste of materials. The medic worked away, using beautiful brush strokes to draw up the kanji and array that focused around the Kanji for 'Explosion'. The seal was rather simple in its design.

After adding a small amount of chakra for a D rank seal, Yumi began to make a C rank one. The more chakra added into the Kanji for 'Explosion' the stronger the blast would be. Yumi hummed away as he drew the seal, crafting it beautifully with each brush stroke. With a flick the C rank explosion seal was made. The medic began to work on the B rank one after channelling chakra into the C rank to prepare it for use. With a few strokes the third seal was done and made as chakra flowed into it. Collecting all three strips, Yumi headed outwards of the shop, he wasn't going to test them indoors that was stupid.

Walking outside, the chemist threw out the D rank seal after channelling chakra into it. A loud bang erupted as an explosion tore through the air and cracked the ground doing minor damage. Clicking teeth the medic threw out the C rank seal. The D rank was only one metre in size. The C rank explosion was three times the size of the D rank with significantly more power as it left a decent sized indent in the ground. Grabbing the B rank, Yumi tossed it out seven metres after channelling chakra into it. A larger explosion happened covering a five metre area forcing a decent sized crater in the earth. Yumi would hire an earth ninja to fix the damage up later.

Working back into the shop, Yumi examined the extract from the Deathroot leaves and began to concentrate the liquid. As Yumi did this, Shizuru was toying away at the force hammering and moulding bronze ingot into small bronze spheres. The woman was sweating heavily as she worked for Yumi. The woman was happy to do it as it was her job and she got paid for it. As the woman finished, Yumi would grab two vials out and store the concentrated liquid inside and cork them off. Shizuru wiped the sweat away as she finished, making twenty bronze spheres. The spheres would be equipped with the shrapnel seal later.

As Yumi began to work on Toxin A, he would ask Shizuru to make some Toxin U for him. Toxin U was a clear liquid poison used to dip shinobi weapons in. When Toxin U comes in contact with the bloodstream it is absorbed into the blood then into the body. When absorbed Toxin U affects the chakra reserves decreasing the targets chakra. Yumi planned to coat the five senbon in the mounted wrist launcher he wore on the top of his left arm. It would leave him with one dose of Toxin U left over. The tanto he carried hidden on his body was also carried in poison. Eventually Yumi planned to make enough poison to coat all his items in it. Yumi wanted to coat each type of item in a single poison.

The chemist went to work to develop the A rank poison, going at it carefully. He had already made it once before so it wouldn't effect him, especially with his poison immunity. Then there was the new poison body skill he had. Yumi wanted to have poisons spare on hand so when he consumed them, he could cut himself every so slightly, coating the weapons in his blood. Why? Because thanks to his new skill when he consumed a poison of his own making, his body would replicate it with any liquid he excreted. Of course it only worked for B rank poisons and below, but Yumi would already have plenty of those. Once Shizuru boosted her skill level he would have her make many more C and B rank poisons for him.

Getting to work on the new poison, the chemist hummed a cheerful tune as he toiled away. The medic hadn't even told Shizuru he was a guy, she thought Yumi was a girl. Yumi didn't intend to change it. The woman had opened up more to Yumi thinking he was a girl. Watching the chemicals mix together into blue coloured poison, Yumi smirked with delight. Like the ambrosia it was another poison design to asphyxiate someone, but as a gas it wasn't as strong so it couldn't kill, but could cover a wider area. The finished poison took the shape of a sky blue pill no bigger than a golf ball.

Yumi sealed the pill up into each seal on the palm of his hand, three in each seal. As Yumi did, Shizuru approached with two vials, containing a single poison. Y. Taking the vials, Yumi removed the senbon from his wrist launcher and dipped them into the clear liquid and put them back. He then remove the four senbon's in his hair and dipped them into the vials of deathroot extract, leaving one vial two thirds full. The medic put the vial of Toxin C into his left pouch, containing one third of its liquid, and one deathroot extract vial into his right pouch.
