Kanna peers at the spectacle, mildly interested in the books on display up until she notices what kind they are. With a brief snarl of distaste the female considers what the Kotoshura is saying -- and after some thought? She shrugs just a bit. "If that's the case then is this all you think about or something? I'm not a fan of the more.. fiction side of reading." She admits. Kanna considers herself a researcher, and within good reason; she always seems to be finding out more about stuff, so long as it doesn't go against someone's values for personal space or secrets.
"As for why they would do this? A distraction from an ulterior motive. To keep otherwise focused and alert people off their toes by making them feel at home." She remarks, intent on slipping out of the room altogether for a moment. After some pacing down the hallway she blinks at the sudden chatter coming from a door to her right, and enters it. Upon stepping foot inside, the woman is greeted with dozens of people talking away, wearing costumes similar to the ones people came to this castle in. Among them were comfy little bean bags and such, bookshelves lining the walls for the more introverted people to read.
The icing on the cake were half a dozen faces in the room that she recognized. They belonged to the people in the squad sent to the valley years back, doing their own various things and chatting with one another in a circle of bean bags, with one actual chair empty. They were.. alive and well. Not a scratch or a burn on them. Or were they? For the most part, Kanna just stands in stasis within the pseudo-library pseudo-party, even as the people start calling to her, prompting more of them to turn their heads. They were all calling for her, some shouting "hero" and others "genius". Maybe that phenomenon about the castle reflecting people's desires was true, because right now this was the spitting image of her constant desire to have brought an end to what occurred in that valley. To beat their killer and prevent them from being killed.
Seeing it outside of a dream just felt out of place though, like some sort of sick alternate reality.
She backs away, leaving the doorway and pushing it shut at that point. Eager to forget it, the woman heads back to the other room, honestly preferring a library consisting of a bed and porn over that experience that plagued and delighted her old self. "So uh.. Yui? Is there anything here that isn't pornographic? I guess what I'm saying is.. let's just stick here for a bit."
