Gold eyes glanced upwards, noting the lazy sway of the clouds overhead with blotches of white and gray mixing together. Yoko was never one to sit idly for very long but this evening was one of the few times where she had found herself a nice quiet place to relax for a little bit and merely take in the scenery with some good alcohol.
Alcohol? Oh yes, she partook frequently, despite her age the way of her clan's path dictated it was alright to drink earlier than most would expect to as long as it was done in moderation. Yoko though? She threw moderation out the window and simply drank for the enjoyment of it. There was nothing like feeling the cool wind upon your face while knocking back a few sips of the good stuff. It made it almost worth the headache in the mornings to come, almost.
Sipping away at the slightly curved red bowl in her right hand, those eyes of her left from the heavens and moved downwards toward the grassy field and river-bed that flowed alongside it. She thought she had heard something but decided it was likely just a few animals nearby. A little smile curving upon her lips as she imagined herself playing amongst them, but that was just a dream really. Given her appearance, most animals ran away, she wasn't outwardly intimidating from a normal viewpoint but the horns that adorned her head were quite the thing for animals to see, often fleeing as a result.
They were of course, fake. Her real Oni horn hadn't grown out just yet, which most of her family did tend to make fun of her for. Well, not make fun more just give little jabs at her than any real malicious attempts to pester her. Still she believed she'd become the world's most powerful ninja once it grows out fully, only time would tell.
By the time her bowl was emptied, she'd decided to shift things up and begin working on something more productive. Medical practice was important and while Yoko aimed to be the strongest, she was hardly invincible and she knew that her own recklessness might come back to bite her in the future if she didn't take the proper precautions to allow her to heal in the midst of a fight. This training however was aiming for the opposite result, turning one of the technique's she'd learned to treat wounds into one that helped to cause them.
First thing's first, Yoko had to get out of this tree she'd gotten herself up on for cloud-watching. That wasn't really hard, just took a little jump down and tucking into a tumbled roll through the grass. Brushing herself off, the blonde girl stood up and grinned to herself. There, all better!
Onto the actual training, Yoko allowed her eyes to slowly dip into a close, bringing both hands up and horizontal across from her chest. Visualization was often a key factor to medical ninjutsu, for Yoko it was analyzing her body and her breathing and allowing herself to slow down and focus on her hand's position.
Chakra began to ease out carefully through the tenketsu points, circulating out first from the tips of her fingers where access was most easy and then curving down along the ridges each finger held flat provided until engulfing the entire hand. It was hard not to fall into her direct habit of converting the chakra into the more passive form used to heal over injuries and retain it's raw natural state. These were not meant to save lives but to help harm and take them away. They couldn't do much on their own but they would help to supplement her own strengths on the battlefield.
Closing her fingers into balled fists, she pulled her arms inwards to her sides and moved her right foot outwards. An eased swing of her body caused the length of her hair to dance along the air, followed up by the turn of an arm and a chop was given across the air by Yoko's chakra-covered palm. She had to envision the target before her, having hit an arm and to follow behind was another half-step to curve her body fully around and punch forwards with the other hand at the same location imagined on the opponents frame. Yes, this was beginning to feel more solid and the idea was becoming more fluid to her. At the very least, it was a technique she knew she could perform, it just needed to be refined more over time.
