Training is considered to be essential for all shinobi and those who wish to fight what they believe in. For Kaguya this was their way of life from what Magnus heard before the family joined Kirigakure. Of course he’s trained quite a bit in his previous years, but it was mainly to improve his body both in strength, durability, and making sure his strikes would connect. Now he is training for technique to perfect his martial arts prowess. So naturally this genin can be found at Kiri’s favorite training grounds.
Magnus was training in a particular style called the Spring Chant by trying to make his strikes swift and strong. Fists swinging to strike against a rock pillar that is a little ways from the shore. When it connects there is a solid thud each time Magnus hits the pillar. For the first hour of withstanding Magnus’s combination of attacks the pillar remained with little damage. However as Magnus started to become faster and accurate on his attacks tiny cracks started to web across the surface. The waves from the sea lifts Magnus up, threatening to slam him onto the set of rocks, but Magnus skated along the rough waters like he was surfing. His hands were slightly shaking from trauma he’s put them through, and Magnus noticed that a small cut on his right knuckle.
Still skating along the waves, Magnus circled around a single different rock pillar and with a quick spin. Magnus threw seven blows that was mixed with fists and elbow jabs. On the seventh blow Magnus cracked the pillar enough to the point where a ring of rock falls off into the sea. Creating a large splash that washes over the genin’s body and the sea foam sprayed across his face. The pillar is still standing, but the top portion is held up by a solid foot ring of rock. For the time being, Magnus surfed away from the rocks so that he could submerge into the water. Where he’ll swim towards the shore where his gear is located at. Though really it is just a utility belt with a hip pouch and a holster that has a kunai stashed inside.
