Glancing through the window in the door Sera grasped at the handle of the establishment, the cool metallic touch of the handle sent a shiver up her spine. Never the less she turned the door handle and pushed her shoulder against the door slowly opening it up and peering around the door, quickly spotting the bar tender she flashed a quick smile and then ask “were you open yet, I don’t want to bother you if your still setting up”.
Sera combed her fingers through her bangs before peering over the counter to see what the bartender was working on. Pushing her bangs back and to the right side of her face, her long black hair was up in a ponytail. Sera wore the small silver locket her mother had given her when she left the compound and she was wearing a rather plain looking teal t-shirt, matched with some dark blue shorts and a red belt with brass studded holes.
Looking at the bar top for a moment the amount of polish that was on it made it glycine and almost mirror like. Which Sera used to check her makeup, or more accurately her eyes, making sure her eyelashes hadn’t made a bunch of dots on her eye lid. Luckily it seemed fine so she turned her attention to the empty bar and the multitude of tables within it. Sera’s idle daydreaming was briefly stopped as she heard the bartender drop a menu on the table for her. And asked “What can I get you?” a fairly generic bartender thing to say but being as they had just opened Sera didn’t expect the Best service, she knew they were busy. “I’ll have . . . umhhmm“*she says trailing off for a moment before looking at the menu that was placed down by her. Quickly distinguishing what she might want she pointed to the list of wines and asked “can I please have a glass of Chichibu”. Running her hand around her belt she quickly found the belt loop she had tied her forehead protector. It was a comforting feeling of holding it. As she was kind of nerves, she was never big into drinks. But she knew she liked red wine. It was something she was allowed on occasion back home. And now she was able to go out and order it.
It wasn’t her best idea, but she was instructed to go out and be part of the community, and Sera didn’t really know anyone. So what better place to meet people then at a bar. Socializing was key to becoming part of the community.
