    In the Grace of the Sun {Open} Empty In the Grace of the Sun {Open}

    Post by Son'Rei Tue Feb 25, 2020 7:08 am

    Son'Rei left his home with vigor in his steps, he was recently made a Genin of the Hidden Sand now and the joy it brought to him was evident on his face everyday since. He had been lax the past few weeks, mainly studying books and the like, today however was different, today he was going to do some actual training. He had been avoiding it for the longest time, but he knows deep down he can't get stronger without putting his knowledge into practice. He would arrive at the sun forge before the sun had risen over the horizon, the training area was barren making it the perfect time for him to practice the techniques he was wishing to. The last thing he needed was someone to be in the wrong place and get struck by one of his techniques, the boy did not wish to have to explain that to Ei, let alone the Kazekage. Son'Rei planned to spend the next several hours if not all day here training, though others might show up later he hoped he would have the more deadly ones out of the way before they arrived.

    Zen would take his place in the center of the training grounds and begin to control his breathing as a he prepared himself for his task at hand. Son'Rei had witnessed most of these techniques many times during his training within the compound where he grew up, he knew all too well what they were capable of and the concentration it would take to replicate his former master. Though he had never preformed the techniques before the fact that he had witnessed them gave him some ground to at least begin with. Inhaling a deep breath Son'Rei would focus his chakra in a similar manner to a dragon's breath but instead of fire he was attempting to release a blast of super heated air that would more or less have the same effect on a grandeur scale. However what he released was nothing like that of his master's, causing him to kick himself but he would refuse to give up, repeating the process again and again until he felt it had a desirable effect like his master's had. After he was satisfied with his steam breath he would move on to the next technique though it required much more focus and would not be as easy for the young boy to preform, causing him to spend several hours on his attempts to release his chakra like a wave from his body only to have it fizzle out without taking any form. It wasn't until the sun was at its highest point of the day that he was finally able to release the burst of chakra as he intended it to, though still not as strong as his master's he proved that he could do it, this would be enough for him for now.

    Son'Rei would take a short break to rest from the strain he put himself through on that last technique, laying flat on his back in the center of the training grounds, looking up at the sun as he tried to calm himself down.

    It was a remarkable environment this place. Reeking of old sweat and blood; rife with the sensation of strife and hostility. Kurenai wondered what this place was, coming here for the first time since she had entered Sunagakure. Was it a training ground of sorts? Or the scar created by an intense battlefield? With a light step she moved forward, eyes looking left and right to take the whole scenery in. The only thing about this whole place that wasn't new was the blistering sun, and that one was quickly becoming an old familiar in the regions.

    A good thing Kurenai wore a white dress, protecting her body better than most others tended to do. Light, reflective, fresh. And made of spidersilk to boot. On top of that, she wore a red cloak that allowed her to protect her face. Sandstorms and heatstrokes would not stand a chance if she didn't allow it to reach her. Within sensing range was another person, someone with a chakra pool above the norm of civilians. A shinobi? As she'd move ever deeper into the training area, her gaze glided to the person in question but it took some effort to properly spot him. The sun shone bright and the boy was doing... something. There was movement of a subtler level. Arms, hands. A sense of fatigue, but nothing too specific that she could read given the 50 meters or so distance between them and the sunlight playing tricks on the mind as it was being reflected by the sand.

    But she'd get closer. Step by step, eyes fixated on the training stranger.

    Son'Rei would not rest for long, a few minutes at most before he was right back at it. Wanting to get the most out of the beautiful day, oblivious to the eyes upon him as he trained the boy moved on to the next Jutsu he was attempting to train. The scorch clone he had only seen used once, and it was against him. Having never seen it in a manner where he could of studied it better would make it harder than the first two, however it would not deter the boy from him attempting it. Focusing his chakra to project it into an image of himself, only to have it literally blow up in his face before it was even fully formed. Son'Rei would pick himself up unscathed from the blast with the exception of the slight singes of his cloth clothes. Dusting himself off the small boy would resume his attempt to create a clone from his Shakuton element. Though each time he would get closer to creating a full Shakuton clone, each failure was met with it blowing up in his face in a small non damaging blast of hot air that would knock him down.

    Whoever this human was, he seemed to have an odd way of entertaining himself. From the looks of it, he was trying to create something out of thin air. And whatever it was supposed to be, created a sudden explosion that scorched his face and clothes more and more with every new attempt. Now, Kurenai wasn't too familiar with human habits but even the spider could see this wasn't going to end well if he kept this strange game up. Moreso, she simply couldn't understand why he tried to hurt himself - or whatever exactly it was he attempted. Being no medic either, at least she guessed that when the worst case scenario occurred in where the human blew himself up, she could eat whatever was left of him - or end his suffering if such an additional effort was needed. Nonetheless, she didn't stop her approach, nor did she went over to a lurking step. Kurenai simply continued her path until she stood several meters away from him - far enough to avoid being blasted - yet within sufficient proximity to be heard.

    "Hey there. What strange game are you playing?", she'd ask him, curious to hear his answer about the name of this self-exploding game.

    Son'Rei smiled as his determination finally bore the fruit he was trying to achieve as his chakra took on the form of the young boy, a perfect clone. Though a far step from how the masters of the technique that can create multiple clones to use, the simple fact of him being able to produce the one was an accomplishment in the boy's eye. Son'Rei had been so distracted with focusing on the clone he did not notice the approach of the girl, her words would cause a start with Son'Rei causing him to jump slightly. This startling also caused in him losing focus on his clone resulting his replica to detonate in his face, though it still not strong enough to hurt him he was happy to see it had slightly more power than before.

    Standing back up and dusting himself off, Son'Rei would scowl at the pale girl. "Didn't anyone every teach you it's not polite to sneak up on people like that." Though the girl could have made as much noise as possible during her approach, it wouldn't matter because Son'Rei wouldn't of heard it. "I'm not playing a game, I am trying to train and you are interrupting important work. So why don't you just run along, unless you care to be the next target of my Jutsu."

    Her question would be answered with a snarl. Mentioning something about politeness, as if she had even an inkling of a clue about human upbringing. But at least she knew sneaking wasn't rude at all. All spiders did that if they intended to hunt for prey. She knew that if she had any intention of hunting him as prey, that she wouldn't have been so calm and open about her approach as she was now, and therefore she considered the boy's reply unwarranted and a sign of weakness if he couldn't even notice her now. She'd blink at that, a slight frown of annoyance visible on her face. And when he then mentioned she was interrupting important work, telling her to run along as he backed said suggestion with a threat, she considered that to be the best option. She had no intention of interrupting him in important work, only having wished to meet up with someone new. Possibly making a new friend.

    It seemed that day would not be today.

    "Ah, alright. Sorry for approaching you, I guess.", she'd say with an even tone in her voice, pulling forward the hood of her red cloak to hide her face a little more. She'd then walk away as calmly as she had come to meet him, still not quite understanding what she had done wrong exactly.
