Improving Oneself (Training)

Raika finally reaches the training grounds for the first time, and she immediately begins her training by starting off with a technique meant to give ninja a temporary boost of speed. This kind of jutsu is normally only good for a short distance, but it would be great to boost her speed even further while she's using her clan's signature fighting style.

With a single half-Tiger handseal, she focuses chakra to the bottom of her feet, gathering it underneath her before launching herself forwards at an incredible speed, almost more of a great and powerful leap than an actual sprint. She'd been expecting a speed similar to the speed offered by the feral stance of her clan's fighting style, but this was even greater!

Another technique she's decided to learn is an apparent improvement along the Chikushou no Ken line of fighting styles, so she adopts the Chikushou no Ken stance, though she keeps her hands in a typical bent fingers position so her claws won't be digging into her skin. That was the problem with fighting styles for her; they wanted fists, but she had claws. No matter. Although there was no need to do so, she goes for the full power Chikushou no Ken, allowing her chakra to feed into her muscles for strength and speed.

Then, she focuses more chakra to the bottom of her feet, remembering the Surface Walking Skill she'd mastered in the Academy in order to ready herself for the technique. She lifts her heel, then uses the chakra on the ball of her foot to launch herself forwards, not unlike the Body Flicker technique she'd only just mastered. With the chakra already lending speed to her muscles, she manages to reach a similar speed to the Body Flicker as her body launches forwards, and she stops a few meters away.

There's just one more technique that Raika wants to train, although it was one of her clan's ninjutsu techniques, which she usually had a bit more trouble with. Nevertheless, she's certain she can make use of it to great effect, so she moves over to one of the nearby wooden three-armed training dummies. At least the technique didn't require any handseals... All she had to do was focus her chakra into her claws and her fangs.

She focuses hard, needing a moment before she can feel the chakra at least surrounding her claws, making them feel like they had serrated edges from her rapidly rotating chakra all along the edges as she extends them out to their full length, ensuring that she has the maximum area for her to focus her chakra through them. She continues with the Brute Fist stance as she swings her claws at the two wooden arms at shoulder height, both arms starting inside and swinging out. Raika's claws dig in, and then power through the flesh of that wood as she rips her claws right out of those wooden arms, nearly taking them apart.

"Heh... Fuckin' sweet."

She feels as though she's done for the day, so she turns and leaves the training area, leaving behind those gouged runnels in the wooden dummy's arms.
