With things being uneventful for the most part, Simon once more found himself lingering within a clearing, given the opportunity to get some practice in. And while not a single fiber of his being actually felt like putting in the effort and application of training, it still felt like something that was an obligation. With that in mind, he pushed himself out of his dry spell.

Having pulled himself back into reality, Simon's cat-like gaze shifts throughout his general surroundings. Once he's assured that no one is around to actually be caught in the crossfire of what he's doing, the male slips his hand into his hip pouch, retrieving a single shuriken. The Kageyama brings his arm to his opposing shoulder, preparing himself mentally and physically for the technique he was trying to perform.

And then, with a swivel upon his foot, and a flick of his wrist, he sends the shuriken spinning forward. As it shoots on ahead... at it's meager speed, at that, his other hand elevates itself. He presses his palms together and forms the Tiger handseal, jumpstarting chakra within his system.

"Ninja Art: Shuriken Giant Body Technique!" Simon shouts. A plume of smoke envelops the shuriken for a brief moment, before one that's tenfold its previous size disperses the smoke. It moves at the same disgustingly slow speed, but it's incredibly large in contrast to before. Considering how bad he was at throwing things fast, he could probably take advantage of this at some point. Hopefully.

After completing that initial technique's performance, Simon gets to moving onto the next task. As the shuriken wedges itself into the ground, it envelops itself in another plume of smoke, reverting to its original size. He walks into the smoke, picking the shuriken up and unwedging it from the ground. He slips his finger through the hole in the center, spinning it around his finger as he walks back to the center of the training fields.

This time around, he'd be doing something that he was a little more familiar with--a cloning technique. Afterall, he'd always been fond of excessively utilizing shadow clones, since they allowed him to be in more than one place at once. Just that he always had to be focused enough to keep them around where they needed to be; likewise, training was one of the times he couldn't focus enough to maintain them at the moment.

That aside, though, the male stops spinning the shuriken. Simon presses two fingertips against one of the blades of the shuriken, and then elevates the hand holding the tool above his opposing his shoulder. In one fell swoop, the Kageyama lashes his arm out from its arched positioning, letting go of the weapon. It spins forward steadily, allowing him the time to do the next action for the technique.

Several handseals are contorted, and chakra is surged from his core. "Shuriken Shadow Clone!" The Kageyama remarks. A plume of smoke envelops the single shuriken, and as the smoke clears, suddenly six more are clustered around it. The plethora of shuriken continue to fly forward, though they eventually lose their air and jam into the ground.

"Got that one down, too. Onto the next one.."

Following his thought of moving onto the next technique, Simon forms the Shadow Clone handseal. Once a shadow clone emerges from a poof of smoke at his side, he turns to it, cracking his knuckles one by one. He rubs his hands together for an extra effort once he's managed to adjust himself internally to what he had in mind. Now that he had done that, the male proceeds to instruct his shadow clone to do something that he thought he'd never tell a shadow clone to do, especially if it could just disperse.

"Leave this area real quickly, get a look around our surroundings, and then come back when you're done. Don't disperse." The Kageyama insists, causing the clone to nod and dart off at that point. It sprints until it's out of Simon's visage, getting a good look at its surroundings and such to see if there was anything worthwhile to report back on. Likewise, though, nothing seemed to catch the clone's eye, leaving it to start returning to Simon at that point in time.

When it does get back, Simon courses chakra into his hand. "Take a seat in front of me for a moment." The blonde states accordingly, causing the clone to sit down. Technically, if it was a shadow clone that hadn't dispersed yet, then it had memories that he was waiting to receive. Memories that he could just analyze on his own with a different technique by not dispersing it in the first place. And that carried him onto the next technique he was talking about.

He presses his palm flat against the base of the clone's forehead. His fingers descend, pressing upon the rest of the clone's head at that point, and injecting the chakra. Utilizing the chakra that was directed to his palm, Simon proceeds to read the shadow clone's subconscious. Although brief, due to not being an actual person's memories, the Kageyama still finds memories. He reads through a few minutes worth of being told where to go by him himself, and proceeding to scout the area, and finding nothing as a result.

Once he's managed to get a good analysis on how the technique functioned, and what his clone remembered, he orders it to do it's last bit of its job. It offers an acknowledging nod, before vanishing in a plume of smoke, too.

Having finally finished up with his break period following learning those techniques, Simon decides to move on to his next task. He'd been wanting to learn how to turn chakra imbued objects into projectiles without directly relying on Ninjutsu to just make the projectiles for him, but up until recently learning Chakra Flow itself he had never really figured it out. And now, he was kind of stumped on how to go about it next.

"I could throw it myself, but that would be ineffective, especially because of my upper body strength." The Kageyama admits to himself, offering a disappointed frown at that point. He slowly rises from his sitting position on the ground, running his fingers through his blonde locks. "Guess my best bet would just be trying to turn it into a technique that can carry the object, too. Or at least use it like.. a medium maybe?" He remarks, contemplating it internally. His hand goes to slip into his hoodie temporarily.

"Something that can conduct lightning, but isn't too heavy to be fired by it. So that means basic ninja tools are out of the question. So are rocks.." Simon speaks aloud. At last, it dawns upon him when he touches it--a five ryo coin. The male removes it from his pocket, looking at it like it was some sort of messiah to him. And then he smirks, nodding briefly at several thoughts that crossed his mind at that point. Now to apply that knowledge of Chakra Flow to just what he was trying to do.

"So logically, the electric surge will have to be enough to carry it along, and speed forward. Similar to an actual technique.." Simon drifts off in the midst of his speech, then finishes it for himself, extending his arm out in front of him, while holding onto the coin. "Without going off course, and while using it as a conductor. Got it." Simon finalizes his thoughts, then positions his fingers differently this time around.

He props the coin upon the bridge of his thumb while tucking it partially against his curled index finger, curling the rest of his fingers as well. And then he flicks it upwards, giving himself some time to generate the needed current of chakra. As chakra gathers at his partially-closed fist, it begins to reverberate, flickering and sparking violently as it stockpiles itself continuously, getting more violent by the moment.

"Metal is a conductor of electricity. By using the conductor, I'll nullify the chances of firing in the wrong direction, by having the lightning chakra line up directly with the medium I've given it. And with the amount that I've generated, it'll be potent enough to be self-sustaining, and self-sustained enough to be fired as a projectile. As a..."

"Conducted Lightning Acceleration Cannon!" Simon exclaims, naming the technique as the coin lines itself up with his finger. He flicks his thumb outward, gathering the entirety of the chakra to the base of it as it collides with the coin. The lightning chakra that's been gathered to the single appendage is released into the designated medium, rapidly being conducted, but at the cost of immediately eradicating the coin in the process. Prior to it's eradication, though, its purpose as a conductor is fulfilled, and the aim of the lightning is primed directly ahead of Simon.

An immense, concentrated wave of lightning release chakra is spewed out before him, shooting forward with amazing heat paired with amazing speeds. The very ground below the wave is torn up and indented as it fires forward, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. It doesn't stop until colliding with solid rock, at which point it penetrates through and combusts, sending a flurry of rocks in unbiased directions. Simon lowers his hand to his side, admiring the fruits of his labor as he rests his palm against his hip.

"... Too long. I'll just call it Railgun."

Simon raises a contemplative gaze upright as he folds his arms behind his head, leaning back some. The repetitious nature of what he was doing got less and less backing each time he made the effort to continue it. Part of him just wanted to stop altogether, but there was still at least one last thing that he wanted to get to before just outright leaving.

He places his palms together and forms the Clone handseal, withdrawing chakra from his person. The chakra is utilized to form a shadow clone, and in a plume of smoke it does indeed get manifested. Once it's been generated, Simon casually distances himself. He brings his palms together again and starts to form chakra within his person, kneading it in a way that was relatively unfamiliar to him.

As an illusion.

While the technique normally didn't require handseals, he performed them regardless to help him distribute his chakra better. His chakra spreads through the vicinity, slipping from his physique via. his feet. Once it's finished coating the area in little time to spare, the result is clear--at least for the shadow clone he made. It's left unable to find him, walking aimlessly amidst the vicinity. What was initially training grounds was now a thick forest with little room to move in, to the clone's eyes.

He disperses the shadow clone for now, noting the experience as his own thanks to the technique's ability to return a clone's memories to the user. After dispersing the shadow clone, Simon lowers his hands to his sides, tucking them into his pockets. At last, the blonde exits the vicinity.

The blonde-haired Chuunin makes a confident stride back into the training grounds of Kumogakure after a decent length of time since his last arrival. This time, instead of daytime, he arrives in the midst of night-time, to avoid the possibility of seeing others. He shows up with a black tank top showing off some lean muscle, as well as a teal sash tucking it in in tandem with the relatively baggy black pants he has on. They personally end at his ankles, supported by the shin-length, black boots he has on, wrapped in white bandaging along the shin-part.

His hair is tucked away within a single braid and his bangs frame his face like usual. Simon quietly peers about the surroundings in silence, and once he's affirmed that no one is exactly around at this time, the blonde gets started on his purpose in arriving at the location. Chakra starts to rush to life within his person, quickly converting to lightning-natured chakra. It courses through his being, flickering about in the form of occasional sparks that illuminate his figure.

"I need something more... speed-based." Simon remarks, starting to conceptualize the technique in his mind. He liked Body Flicker as it was, but the main issue with it was the hand seal it required. Since Lightning Release was his area of expertise, if he created a speed-oriented technique and got adjusted to it he could use it accordingly. Though it'd have to be something that isn't disorienting.

With that in mind, the King of Lightning's training process to hone his speed had begun.

Several minutes had passed, but they weren't uneventful. The Kageyama's movements are prompt as he darts along the surface of the ground, zig-zagging from side to side while also making an effort to maintain his speed. The lightning chakra flickering through his frame doesn't go un-ignored, either. He promptly lowers his body as he accelerates, rushing most of the chakra to his right forearm, especially his fist. As the sparks immerse his arm in a prominent glow, he finally breaks motion, only to send his arm thrashing down.

He slams his fist firmly into the surface of the ground, craterizing the earth below him and simultaneously springing into the air as he does so. As he ascends into the air, the Kageyama performs a quick flip forward, then launches himself back toward the ground, dropping his leg like an axe. He slams his heel into the earth, skidding back as he does so, and standing back upwards. More lightning chakra starts to generate within his person as he elevates himself,

"Hmm.. alright, how about this.." The Kageyama mutters to himself as he starts off with a jogging pace, beginning to accelerate along the grounds once more.

More time passes, with Simon maintaining a jogging pace while he continues to brainstorm, doing laps around the grounds. At last, a thought slips into mind, causing the male to nod his head to himself in acknowledgement, before breaking off into full-on acceleration. A slight blur of motion makes itself prominent upon his figure as he does this, promptly picking up the pace and peaking out in his speeds in little time to spare. Once he notices this, he acts out upon what he had in mind.

The blonde promptly leaps up off of the ground, using most of that momentum and converting it to centripetal motion as he spins like a top in the air. As he does this, the lightning-natured chakra starts to rapidly course to the base of his soles, coating them like normal chakra would with the Surface Walking technique. As he's embraced the entirety of his feet in lightning chakra, he completes his spin, slamming back onto the ground.

The delay--and the friction of hitting the ground is foreign to him at this point, though, with the chakra layered at his feet, he's forced to not move normally (aka. by running). The male stays still for a little bit, but after a few test movements of his legs he gets a hang of it. "It's just like skating.. so.." He slides his left foot back, then his right forward, and begins to essentially skate along the surface of the ground with the chakra still layering his feet.

After giving himself a few minutes to get the hang of it, he effectively begins to skate along the earth, moving at a speed even quicker than what he was normally capable of. Furthermore, he had a new technique under his belt. With his success in creating the technique evident, the male dispels it for now, deciding he'd practice it more later on.

Simon finds himself pacing on back to the training grounds after a few hours of recuperation. His presence there is intended to be short-lived, though, as he's got other plans in mind. The male brings his hands together, lining his fingers up in the shape of a T. After he's formed the Clone hand seal, he channels half of his reservoir out of his body, summoning forth a shadow clone.

"Alright. Just practice stuff here. Disperse when you're done with that." He instructs his clone. Both of them are wearing gray sweat shorts with black stripes running down the side, matched by a black sleeveless hoodie and finished off with black shoes.

Simon strolls off at that point, while the shadow clone starts to generate lightning-natured chakra in the meantime. It begins the process of brainstorming on what kind of technique to make---perhaps something similar to what the Raikage had pulled off during their spar? There were multiple steps to getting to that level, though, and so it'd start off with the most basic one: the amount of chakra being released.

"First step, generating the current." The clone remarks.

On cue, the shadow clone starts to amass chakra within its body. The chakra that's been gathered begins to contort and knead into lightning-natured chakra. With part of its consistency matching that of a Lightning Release Shadow Clone at that point, the clone starts to stockpile the kneaded chakra within it. Similar to what Nariko did, it tries to surge the chakra around it, but struggles with the sheer amount.

Deciding that trying to hold in all of that chakra at once would be dangerous, the shadow clone tenses its arms. It brings its arms to an intersection, forming an X with the two of them. And slowly but surely, the clone begins to exude the lightning-natured chakra from its person. It crackles and flickers about in the form of sparks, separating itself more and more as it spreads out around the clone. Three meters... four... five..

It keeps on spreading its field of electric pulses around itself. The dense atmosphere of released lightning-natured chakra remains prominent and apparent, at least to sensors, while invisible to others as it hovers around a total of fifteen meters, with the clone as the epicenter.

"Alright... getting somewhere."

Once the field of lightning-natured chakra has been established around the shadow clone, it brings its hands to a clasp. It gradually starts to try and draw the lightning-natured chakra back into itself, bit by bit, so that it wouldn't overload itself. The trouble of the effort is one that becomes apparent as not a single bit of it starts to return to the clone, leaving it bewildered. With a brief shrug, though, it decides to repeat the process.

And so it does exactly that. Lightning-natured chakra starts to surge throughout its frame and multiply at intense speeds, even faster than last time in fact. Or that's what it seems like initially. The shadow clone begins to notice that the lightning-natured chakra previously exuded from its body is beginning to be drawn in. As though it was magnetically reeled back in. It made sense, after all, since the shadow clone turned itself into a strong electric pulse. A human magnet, if you will.

Deciding to put this to the test, the shadow clone halts the surge of electricity, and proceeds to channel it into its fist. The electricity begins to rapidly draw itself in to that one point, as the clone decides to focus on starting with a smaller part of the body before the full body. Sure enough, not only does the electricity within it find itself attracted, but so does the field of electricity around the clone, as it uses the Thunderclap Drill, at an amplified extent.

".... Interesting. It's like it was supercharged."

The shadow clone notes this, finding itself intrigued by the amplified state of the technique for now. And partially wanting to put it to the test. "Perhaps if I can keep this amount of chakra concentrated to a single point, then disperse it as soon as it collides..."

"Guess I won't figure it out just by sitting around." The shadow clone remarks out loud, maintaining the amplified variation of Thunderclap Drill. It eagerly rushes forward briefly, moving about three meters before leaping up into the air. As it does so, it brings its fist back, drawing in more of the electrical current that it dispersed moments ago. Then it thrusts itself downward, flinging its arm out in front of it and tensing its hand into a fist at that point. "Thunderclap..!"

The clone slams its fist firmly into the earth, unleashing a powerful torrent of lightning-natured chakra at the center of its contact. A series of sparks flicker along the ground at high speeds, tearing through it and forming a series of faults and deep tears in the ground. It crumbles in upon itself in various places as the clone shouts dramatically. "Drill: Amplified!" It reels its arm in at that point, swinging its frame back.

As its feet press against the ground, the Kageyama's clone kicks off of the ground, distancing itself from the focal point of destruction and performing a series of backflips upon the stable parts of the ground.

Having effectively performed that brief display with the amplified variation of Thunderclap Drill, the shadow clone can easily see the improved results of the technique. The excess chakra's managed to outright alter the range of the technique overall. While that's... fairly good and all, Simon's goal in this training procedure was to learn how to condense chakra down to his own form. Following the mindset of its creator, the shadow clone starts to generate lightning-natured chakra again.

This time around though, it doesn't allow the chakra to flow freely. Instead the lightning-natured chakra is stockpiled and stored within its forearm, with the excess amounts of chakra being contained in its frame rather than revealed. While this removes the possibility of doing physical damage, or at least more physical damage like Thunderclap Drill, it allows the concentration of lightning-natured chakra to prioritize electrocution.

"It'd be like kinetic energy. Similar to passing all of your own energy from yourself to someone else.... this'll be what I'm doing with the lightning. Just in smaller bursts, so I don't lose all of it---so I can retain that cloak of electricity..!" Simon's clone asserts, continuing to compound the lightning-natured chakra coursing through its forearm, now being focused within its palm.

As the large amounts of lightning-natured chakra continues to channel into the clone's palm specifically, some sparks here and there start to flicker about. It's at that point that the clone crouches down and slides its left foot back, eyeing the rock formation outlining the training grounds. With a brief inhale, followed by a prompt and unexpected burst of momentum, the Kageyama's shadow clone begins to advance upon the broken and terraformed earth, some parts of it higher and lower than the others as it advances.

It zig-zags across the ground, with the only indication of the technique being the flicker of electricity cackling around the clone's hand. As it finally closes in on the series of stones, the clone reels its arm back, and springs on forward, closing in rapidly upon the medium-scale structure. If it succeeded at this very moment, it'd be able to effectively tear through the entirety without sending debris flying, but if it failed, then it'd disperse.

In the clone's own way, it was a gamble worth taking.
"Thunderc---" It interrupts its own speech.

"Thunder...!" It thrusts its arm forth, smacking its palm against the rock, and breaking its momentum. Its fingers curl along the surface, with the entirety of the front of its hand pressing along it. It's at that point that the immense amount of lightning-natured chakra that's been concentrated into its hand is channeled out. All of the electricity is directed into the structure, the volatile sparks dispersing in one fell swoop. "Palm!" The clone finalizes as a series of tears encompass the rock as a whole.

It's then that the clone kicks off and reels its arm back, watching as the stone crumbles away into a series of pebbles. It certainly indicated the success that the clone was going for, allowing it to land in its initial position.

As the shadow clone repositions itself in its initial spot when it first executed the technique first hand, it slowly elevates itself to a standing position. While it had accomplished the first thing that it'd been tasked with, Simon's clone had another idea pop into its head following the development of the Thunder Palm technique: a version of it where it was done at a distance. A more long-ranged technique prioritising speed over raw power output.

Following that mindset, the shadow clone already knew how much of a danger the amount of lightning-natured chakra would be. Therefore, the idea of even being on the ground would be fairly dangerous, especially if it didn't hit someone directly. Thunder Palm already was a localised version of the Thunderclap Drill, so this would essentially focus on not just the opponent, but the area around them.

The shadow clone decides to just start off with the basis as a whole at that point, proceeding to immerse itself in a dense aura of flickering lightning-natured chakra. A layering of sparks envelops the clone in one fell swoop, and slowly but surely they're pulled inward like a magnet is at the base of its palm.

As the lightning-natured chakra continues channeling into the base of the shadow clone's palm slowly but surely, it lowers its center of balance. Once again, it'd have to distance itself instead of being right there at the cneter of impact. That was just a given. So with that in mind, the shadow clone kicks up off of the ground, and springs on up into the air. As it ascends, the concentration of lightning-natured chakra becomes more and more prominent.

It envelops the entirety of the clone's palm by the time it's reached the peak of its ascension, triggering its readiness. It arches its arm back behind it, tensing its hand into a fist while said fist is engulfed in the chakra. Then and there, the Kageyama's clone thrusts its arm forward, letting loose the lightning-natured chakra as a spontaneous burst. It thrusts down at insane speeds, descending like a mini lightning bolt. Emphasis on mini.

The small variation of a lightning bolt crashes to the ground, immediately dispersing electrical current along it. The main problem is primarily the size, though. The clone had inadevrtently condensed it too much by concentrating it into its hand, which only meant that this technique would focus solely on engulfing the entirety of its body in chakra, not just a portion.

It was exactly what Simon was going for, only if that cloak was used for an empowered attack.

"Just one more shot." The shadow clone murmurs to itself. It lands within the small crater formed by the concentrated lightning bolt. This time around, it would definitely get it correct. It springs back off of the ground yet again, proceeding to generate another current of lightning-natured chakra around its form. As it engulfs itself in the energies of its body, the clone doesn't concentrate the chakra this time.

At least not prematurely. Instead, it continues onward with the initial motions that it started off with in the first demonstration of the technique. As it thrusts its arm out again, this time around it sends all of the prematurely-gathered lightning flowing from the rest of its body, into its arm, and out, in the span of a few seconds.

The lightning chakra spews itself from the clone's arm as a larger lightning bolt than before, proceeding to careen down towards the ground at intense speeds like before. Upon contacting the earth, the lightning disperses along it, releasing a massive current of electricity that leaves fissures and cracks in its wake from the impact. Once the discharge has died down, the clone lands back on the ground, relatively proud of its work.

Speaking of work, it seemed just about done with playing a part in its own purpose in training. With that in mind, it brings its own hands together, forming the Clone hand seal. In a brief plume of smoke, it's gone and dispersed, relaying its training procedure and discoveries to Simon at that point.
