Unique Abilities:
Raiton Master [Free UA]: Simon's natural affinity for Raiton has helped him immensely with his performance. He's able to utilize Lightning Release techniques without handseals, as a result.
Appearance: Simon stands at a fairly subpar five foot five [5'5"] and weighs about one hundred and fourty two pounds [142 lbs]. His body is fairly slender, suggesting he doesn't have much tone or muscle to show off. He possesses a pair of typically half-lidded, cat-like yellow orbs, and a smile-captivating grin that's usually plastered to his young and youthful features. His skull is topped with rather straight, dirty blonde locks, usually covered by a hoodie.
The naturally energetic blondette commonly wears any means of casual clothing that he can find. He doesn't care for his wardrobe, as long as it's something that smells okay and doesn't look straightup whack. So no, he won't be prancing around with cosplay clothing. That strange subject aside, Simon likes yellow. So in regard to his wardrobe, he tries to make sure he's always adorned with something yellow, even if it's an accessory.
Simon's common wardrobe when he's trying to look more formal is a dark gray, long-sleeved sweater with a high collar that covers his neck. Over it, he wears the standard, single-strap Kumogakure chuunin vest, then beyond that typically cargo pants, whether they're gray, black or standard light brown. Like most shinobi, his feet are fitted with the standard sandals, and he wears his forehead protector coiled about his upper arm.
History: Simon is an average guy. He was born as the only child of his parents on the same year that Kumogakure was established. As nearby inhabitants of Kaminari no Kuni from where the village was founded, his parents eventually came there when he was around five, so their child could grow up in a safe environment. It wasn't long before himself and his parents both took a liking to the village they lived in, and so he found himself growing up both with friends and a standard living place.
As he aged, Simon found himself developing quickly. He was always good at mixing things together to create something new out of it, so he'd eventually started to devote some of his studies to that. It wasn't long before his talent in Chemistry found him a decent amount of publicity, some that was enough to get him friends. Of course, he'd been a Genin by then. As he grew, the Kageyama developed a knack for his natural affinity, Lightning Release, which he's since then developed further.
It wasn't long before his talents with both abilities that he was able to progress from just a mere Genin to a Chuunin, thanks to making a decent name for himself with his productions and his combat ability.
Personality: Simon is a fairly vocal individual. He'd be a social butterfly if people openly referred to sociable individuals like him as that. This extends out to his curiousity, something that often times gets him into unsavory situations. The blonde has the tendency to be nosy as part of somewhat of a childish-curiousity that's befitting of his appearance and age.
Apart from that, his interests seem to lie more in being comedic relief and not be the kind to take many things serious. He's not once for romanticism---infact he views it as an open invitation to get screwed over emotionally [in a figurative manner]. That being said, he tends to like sharing more friendships than he does loving sentiment, unless it's familial for people particularly close. Despite this playful nature of his, Simon wasn't made a Chuunin without reason.
He's able to be serious if a situation calls for it. He isn't the type to stand off on the sidelines as someone's bleeding out with their life on the line, and even if he cracks a joke in insistence of asserting that, he would prove it in an actual situation. Simon's genuine compassion and faith to his village seem to be the only obvious weakness of his in terms of morality, but that doesn't seem to bother him.
Not when he just cracks a joke about that too.

- Spoiler:
- It was no later than four in the morning. Birds tweeted and chirped as they slipped out of their slumber--not because they were prepared for a new day, but because of something else. Beyond their tweeting resonated the occasional flicker of bright light, and with it, the audible sound of metal clashing.
In a meadow masked by thickets of timberland in Hi no Kuni, two figures dashed toward one another, a streak of silver pacing itself behind the kunai each of them held in a dominant hand. One figure was garbed in black robes, adorned with the generic green flak jacket that your usual Chuunin wore. And upon their forehead flashed the engraved symbol of Konohagakure upon their forehead protector as it reflected in the moon lit night.
Their feet rustled the tall, dew-covered grasses as they closed their distance, and with a swivel upon their heel, released the kunai from their hold, letting it whiz forth. As quick as the action was performed they yanked their arm into an arch, hand clasping with the other one to contort a set of handseals. Their foe, a bandit judging by the tattered cloth adorned with an array of light and dark browns, promptly brandished their weapon, deflecting the kunai and sending it shooting off to the side.
"Die!" Their murderous intent reveberated through the grizzly nature of their vocal cords as they shouted, causing several of the recently-awoken pigeons in the trees nearby to flutter away promptly, flapping away from the combat sequence. The bandit sluggishly closed what little distance was required, attempting to promptly swing the kunai for the Chuunin's throat. Cyan irises shifted from beyond the coverage of their ravenous locks, readily reading the incoming attack.
In what seemed like a pre-programmed response, the figure ducked down just as an explosion rang out off on the side, distracting the bandit. "W-what the!?" That was when he recalled the odd piece of paper at the end of the kunai---an explosive tag. Before he could rebound and see if his hit connected, the Chuunin had already managed to duck down, her leg flinging forth to ram into his ankle and remove his balance.
As quick as the kick made it's connection, what followed came faster. A brief glint of effervescence enveloped the Chuunin's fist as they fired their arm out at the bandit's chest, with the detonation giving just enough time to light up their frame--making it clear they were of female persuasion. The chakra-engulfed fist audibly cracks more than just a rib as it slams into the man's form, quickly carrying the momentum behind the attack into his body as he's fired back like a human bullet, and knocked through numerous trees shortly after.
Once it's clear that she's subdued the man, she stands up from her partial crouch, cracking her knuckles some and pressing her open palm against her hip. "... I wasn't trying to hit him that hard, but it was that or he would just try to kill me again..." The Chuunin murmurs, emitting a sigh as she briefly lowers her center of balance then bounds off of the earth with the aid of chakra promptly bursting from her feet as a brief use of Suimen. She starts to head back in the direction from whence she came---the village of Konohagakure no Sato.
